Describe your activity on the server:
I would confidently describe my activity on the server as pretty consistent and high, driven by my genuine enjoyment of SRP. I started back in September of 2021, playing the game here and there. As of 2024, it started to become a regular part of my routine to be online every day, immersing myself into aspects of the server. Since discovering SRP, I've found myself increasingly drawn to its unique blend of creativity and community interaction - hence why I play so often. On a typical day, I'm usually online for a minimum of 2 to 6 hours. Though, it's also normal to see me on for longer periods of time. Multiple times a day even as well.
Below is my weekly availability in terms of hours (timetable is in PST):
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday |
8am - 3pm ; 7pm - 10pm | 12pm - 12am | 8am - 12am | 12pm - 12am | 8am - 12am | 8am - 12am | 8am - 12am |
When online, I usually spend my time engaging in a variety of different roleplay. I love interacting with other players, whether it's through casual chats or deep lore with lots of detailrp. I tend to hangout with a few different communities, leading me to never NOT have something to do. SRP is a place that allows me to always meet new people and form new connections. Making my time within it meaningful.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
My experiences with roleplay stretch across different servers, spanning along about seven years. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to try out a wide variety of communities, groups, and roles, each one shaping me in different ways. Currently, I’m active on SRP, where I have been and also am part of many different communities already. Beyond that, I’m always looking for more to get involved in as well.
When it comes to faction roleplay, I’ve come to really appreciate the sense of community, knowledge-sharing, and the bonds that form in those spaces. News was actually my first faction. I applied back in September of last year (2024) and stuck with it for a little over 6 months, wrapping up my time there at the very end of April 2025. At that time, the faction was much smaller than it is now, but honestly, I loved it just as much then as I would presently. It’s still one of my favorite experiences to look back on, filled with some of my best memories in SRP. While there, I developed skills in writing reports, learning how to incorporate solid detailRP, interacting with everyday Karakura town folk, and handling professional-style roleplay. It was a space that really helped me grow.
On the complete opposite side of the spectrum, I also have a strong background in GangRP. I first got into the community around 2021 and since then I’ve played a variety of roles - from being an average member in gangs based as Amateur, UVG, and VG, to taking on higher-up responsibilities and eventually leadership roles. Right now, I am currently the leader of one of those active gangs among the server. Man’en. What sets it apart is its unique intel-based style of roleplay, something that has challenged me in new ways. Through this, I’ve gained valuable leadership experience, including event planning, member management, and providing support to others. I really enjoy helping people succeed and grow, and leading Man’en has been a rewarding way to put that into practice.
Outside of faction experience and gangs, I’m also part of KUERT (the Karakura Urban Exploration group). I joined in early-mid 2024 and have been involved for over a year now. In this group, I’d describe myself as an average member, climbing a few ranks here and there, but I’m still steadily working my way upward. KUERT has given me opportunities to be part of a more casual but adventurous community and I am very grateful with as small as they are, that I am able to be part of it.
I even have experience in the entertainment industry of SRP, being apart of Honey Corporations for over a year. Working my way up from base employee to senior employee to build coordinator, this is where I learned how impactful events we brought to the server really were for the community. Which honestly, was also one of my favorite parts. Being apart of something greater and doing things for other's enjoyment.
Coming to a close on this question, I’ve also dabbled in other aspects of SRP, like working in shops , clubs , and assisting sport tryouts. I’ve done cashiering, customer service, and handled organizational tasks, and I’ve seen what school club meetings / events look like as well. Even been a back up dancer at cheer tryouts! Quite differing, they all are, but each of these different areas has taught me something new and I value the range of experiences I’ve had across the server so far.
What is your motivation for applying?
There are several factors motivating me to apply, and to be honest, EMS has been a goal of mine since back in 2023. I’ve applied a couple of times before but never got the chance to truly be apart of it. Looking back, I’m grateful for those rejections because they highlighted areas where I could improve. Since then, I’ve focused on gaining more roleplay experience, building up my faction and endeavors history. Developing as a player overall. While I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve spent in other factions, there’s always been this lingering interest, almost like an itch I haven’t scratched yet: EMS.
What draws me the most is the type of roleplay EMS offers. It’s a faction known for detail, realism, and professionalism, and I’ve always admired that from the outside. I’m also aware of what it requires OOCly, which makes me even more eager to commit. In fact, it connects closely with what I’m pursuing in real life. I’ve recently started majoring in the medical field, aiming to pursue it occupationally. That real-world interest makes me even more motivated, because EMS combines two things I value: purposeful work and meaningful roleplay. At the end of the day, it’s about doing what you enjoy, right?
Another big factor is the community side of the faction. I've always heard how EMS members are really supportive and collaborative. As well as the environment and people within it is just very fun to be around, which makes my want to be apart of it even stronger. I feel EMS would allow me to strengthen my skills while contributing to something larger than myself. Being able to learn from others while also sharing my own experiences is something I look forward to.
On top of that, I feel I’d be an effective and reliable part of the faction. I’m active enough to be online daily, often for several hours at a time, so I can easily meet the activity requirements EMS looks for. Between my growing roleplay background, my interest in medicine both ICly and OOCly, and my motivation to contribute, I’m confident I’d be able to meet the faction’s standards and hopefully bring something valuable to the EMS team.

IN-CHARACTER SECTION

Character’s Full Name:
A calm, monotone voice began to speak. "My name? Well, if we're being formal, you may call me Laurent Marcelin. But, off the record, many call me 'Lars' or 'Mister M'. I come from a long line of Marcelins, though I assure you, none of them are quite as charming as I." Marcelin released a light chuckle echoing through the air.
Character’s Gender and Pronouns:
"A male. I was born one, have always been one. So I suppose my pronouns are just the usual He and Him."
Character’s Age (if accepted):
A visible smile portrayed across the man's lips and his cheekbones lifting slightly. "This question is one of my favorites. Can you guess?" Momentary silence filled the air. "Ah, I'm just joking! Don't fret." - "I am 28 years young, an age where I possess both the wisdom of experience and the energy of youth. It's the perfect temperature for a fine wine. Not too early to miss the complexities, and certainly not too late to have it turn to vinegar. Simply perfectly aged for the task at hand, wouldn't you say?"
Character’s Academic Background:
"Another stellar question. Let's see here. . . it all began with a fascination for the intricate workings of the human body - like a finely tuned Swiss watch, but infinitely more complex. You know what I mean? Anyways, I attended the esteemed École Normale Supériere, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating 'summa cum laude', naturally." A short inhale and exhale was taken by Marcelin. "It was there that I truly began to appreciate the beauty and elegance of the natural world, though I must admit, I also enjoyed the occasional philosophical debate over a strong espresso. Amazing memory." Then, a pause.
"Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I then pursued my medical degree at the prestigious Université de Paris, where I specialized in Medicine. Those were intense years, filled with countless hours of study, late-night lectures, and the occasional existential crisis. You know the whole ordeal! But, it was all worth it, for it was during that time which I discovered my true calling: to mend broken people, both literally and figuratively. I completed my residency at the Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou, where I honed my skills under the guidance of some of the finest doctors in France. It was quite a rigorous and demanding experience, but it prepared me for the challenges that lie ahead." Three firm nods were given from him.
"Speeding up to current years, after all that dedication and hard work through schooling, I earned my Doctorate in Medicine, which marked the beginning of my journey as a doctor. I am now committed to using my knowledge and expertise to improve the lives of my patients and to advance the field more than ever. It is a privilege and a responsibility I take very seriously."
Character’s Nationality:
"If it isn't evident by the accent and background, I'm French. Now I know you're going to task, well.. Mr. Marcelin, what does that mean? Let me tell you. Being French to me is about growing up surrounded by a love for art, deep conversations, and a strong sense of community. It's the little things, like the smell of fresh bread in the morning and lively debates at family diners, that shaped who I am as a French man. Growing up in France, taught me to value culture, connection, and expressing myself. It's a part of me, wherever I go." The man rolled up his right sleeve, revealing a tattoo that read a French phase. His gaze met the inked skin among his forearm before reverting back up. "See?"
Character’s Marital Status:
Marcelin tilted his head to the side, visibly thinking about the question at hand. "My martial status? I've never really thought about Marriage, in full transparency. I mean, that's a big question. For me, right now, it's not something I'm actively pursuing. I'm at a point in my life where I'm really focused on personal growth, exploring different opportunities, and soaking up as much of the world as I can. I'm passionate about my interests and even more so my job. It's what I've dedicated my life to, and that dedication of time and energy I can't really put towards a relationship."
"I'm also a big believer in living in the moment and enjoying the freedom that comes with being single. There's so much to discover and experience, and I want to embrace that without any constraints! I- I'm not saying I'm opposed to marriage in the future, though. But it would have to be with someone who truly understands and supports my independent spirit." A sigh was released through his nostrils. Quiet, but evident.
Character’s Religious Denomination:
He perched his lips out, then tightened them. "Hard one. I grew up with a religious family, we attended church and catholic events. But for me, it's never really stuck. When it comes to religion, I'm more of an explorer. I find myself drawn to different philosophies and belief systems, trying to understand the world and our place in it from various perspectives. I mean, I'm all about open-mindedness and respecting everyone's individual spiritual journey. While I don't subscribe to any particular denomination, it doesn't mean I'm opposed to them. I'm a man who is always up for learning and discussing different ideas."
Character’s Spoken Languages:
"I suppose just French and Japanese, currently. French is one I learned as a boy, it's what I'm most fluent in. But, my transfer to Karakura has definitely made me divert, having to use Japanese much more. Honestly, I'd even be interested in learning another language or two. Something cool like, Finnish maybe! Who knows." Another chuckle followed after his enthusiasm, trailed off.
Character Backstory (Optional):
"Oh gosh, I'll make this short . . . but you'll want to have a seat for it."
Marcelin re-positioned in the chair himself, sinking into it. Clearly getting comfortable for this story.
"It all started when my father met my mother at a French Festival. The Fête des Lumières in Lyon. I'll be honest, I don't know much of their love story besides it was the happiest and purest I've seen. But, I know how it started when I came along!"
"I was born and raised in Annecy, a beautiful town nestled in the French Alps. My childhood was pretty idyllic, filled with the crisp mountain air, the shimmering turquoise lakes, and the comforting smell of my mother's baking. My father, being a historian, instilled in me a love for knowledge and a deep appreciation for the past. And my mother, well she being the talented artist she was, nurtured my creative spirit and taught me to find beauty in everything. As a young boy, I spent majority of my days exploring the cobblestone streets of Annecy, skiing down the snowy slopes in winter, and sailing on the lake in summer. There was never really a poor memory I have about my childhood. I was always eager to learn and discover new things. It just, fed my soul."
"As I get older, I developed a passion for the world around me. I excelled in my studies, especially in science and history classes. After graduating from École Polytechnique in Paris, I decided to expand my studies, as talked about prior. Then, I set off to travel the world for a year. It was during my travels that I found a peculiar opportunity - a job opening at one of the best Hospital's in Japan. Stationed right in the heart of a city called 'Karakura'. Intrigued by the challenge and the promise of helping more people than I thought possible, I decided to leave France and embark on a new adventure."
"The decision to move to Karakura wasn't easy. I had deep roots in France, and I cherished my family and friends dearly. However, I felt a strong pull towards the unknown, a desire to push the boundaries of my knowledge and contribute to something truly fulfilling. So, I said goodbye to my loved ones, and promised to stay in touch and visit whenever I could. Leaving felt like a mix of excitement and fear as I boarded that plan. But, I was ready to embrace the opportunities that awaited me in the mysterious land ahead. I knew the life Karakura would be different, but I was determined to make the most of it and leave my mark on the world."
"And here we are."
His hands rose, wavering opposite-to in the atmosphere. A gesture of emphasis on his words.

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)
"From a young age, I have always been drawn to the sciences and have possessed a deep desire to help others. Not just in a small way, but in an impactful way. It was a calling, really, if I may be transparent. I was always the kid patching up scrapęd knees and trying to figure out how things worked. My intense curiosity, couple with a strong sense of empathy, naturally led me toward medicine. I was fascinated by the human body and how it worked - its resilience, its complexities, and its ability to heal. I mean, the science behind it is really crazy intriguing if you think about it. Plus, I have always enjoyed a. good challenge, and medicine certainly provided that in spades."
"The division to study medicine wasn't made lightly, of course. I considered other paths, wanting to be like my father when I was younger. But ultimately, I knew that medicine was where I could make the most meaning of my impacts. There's something incredibly rewarding about being able to alleviate suffering and improve people's lives, you know? It's a privilege to be trusted with such a responsibility, and I approach it with unwavering dedication. So, here I am, a man with his degrees and experience, ready for the next step in whatever challenges come my way and make a positive different in the world, one patient at a time."
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
"While I might not have a laundry list of official "medical positions", my experience is far from lacking. My education and training have been quite comprehensive."
"During my time at the Université de Paris, I dove headfirst into rigorous coursework and hands-on clinical rotations, gaining amazing exposure to various medical specialities. I actively sought out internship opportunities at France's prestigious hospitals and clinics cities over from where I was living. There, I worked alongside experienced staff, assisting in patient care and improving my diagnostic skills. Furthermore, I volunteered at a local clinic, where I provide basic medical care to underserved and less-fortunate communities. That was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. It really taught me the importance of empathy and compassion while working in medicine, which is something I'll keep with me forever."

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Laurent Marcelin is a man of quiet confidence and steady presence. Just over six feet tall, his build is balanced and carried with the ease of someone comfortable in his own skin. His skin has the warm, sun-kissed tone of his French heritage, lightly touched by time and years spent outdoors in his youth. Dark hair, neat but not fussy, frames sharp features that are calm and focused. His grey-green eyes are thoughtful and often reveal more than his words.

Everything about his appearance is careful but never overdone. Marcelin dresses simply and neatly, favoring clean, classic clothing. A plain watch on his wrist and the habit of straightening his cuffs before entering a room show his attention to detail. He carries himself with quiet dignity that draws notice without demanding it.

A rare smile can light up a room, showing the care he feels for others. For those who earn his trust, Marcelin is loyal and dependable, someone people can always count on. What makes him unique is his remarkable ability to notice small details. He remembers subtle things about people, from a quiet habit to a fleeting expression, making those around him feel truly understood. His care is genuine, not just for show, and it shows in everything he does.

Whether it is a simple check-up or a serious medical issue, he treats each case with the same level of care. Clear communication is one of his strongest skills, and he makes sure patients understand their treatment plans. He also offers words of comfort, helping to build trust and ease worries.
In the operating room, Marcelin is focused and precise. His hands are steady, his movements efficient, and his judgment reliable. He works well with colleagues, ready to cooperate whenever needed. By following hospital rules and keeping a high standard of professionalism, Marcelin shows a strong and consistent work ethic in all he does.

He strives helps build an environment of respect and open communication, believing that working together often achieves more than working alone. In meetings, trainings, or casual conversations, he listens carefully, shares his ideas clearly, and encourages others to share theirs as well.
At the same time, Marcelin has the ability to manage complex situations on his own. His training and experience have prepared him to handle difficult procedures independently when needed. In high-pressure moments, he stays calm and focused, relying on his steady judgment and confidence to make the right choices and provide the best care.
His adaptability is one of his strongest qualities, making him a reliable part of any team or institution. What matters most is patient care, and Marcelin is ready to do whatever it takes to make sure that need is met.
Most other medicines and treatments are prescribed by the hospital psychiatrists.
