What is your Minecraft username?:
vivialavida

Discord:
vivialavida

What is your time zone?:
GMT

Describe your activity on the server:
The majority of my time, I'm online. Especially weekends. If there are days when I’m not available, it’s typically due to a busier schedule than I intended, and I make sure to let people know when I won’t be online.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive, you will be demoted?:
I acknowledge that if I am inactive I will be demoted.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
The role I’m applying for is counselor.

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
A counselor offers a supportive and safe environment for students to discuss what bothers them, whether it's social, academic, or personal. A part of being a counselor is helping students develop healthy coping strategies for stress or anxiety. They can work individually or in-group sessions. Not only do counselors support a student's mental well-being, but they also support a student's academic progress and time management. Counselors are there for students when they feel overwhelmed or need to let out what’s bothering them. A counselor ensures to keep all things between them and their student confidential, unless it is a major concern.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I'd say I have a good amount of experience. I used to play SRP in 2022, under a different username, and I've applied for and played the FantasyRP too. I’ve taken part in many different roleplays after that, but I’d say SRP was my first and all-time favourite.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I'd love to turn my roleplaying around a little bit! From playing the role of a student to playing the role of a school employee! I’ve always had an interest in psychology and understanding how people think, feel, and respond to different situations, which makes the role especially appealing to me.

What are your current role(s) on the server?:
Currently, I have one 12th-grade character whom I've developed greatly within a short amount of time. I'm looking to have another, because it does get a little repetitive being just one character constantly.

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic. How does your character react?:
Akari stays calm. She doesn't take offense at being insulted by students. She's aware that a student acting out can be a result of a deeper frustration within their personal life. Rather than responding emotionally, she addresses their behaviour as unreasonable and disrespectful, regardless, and gives the student a warning. If said behaviour is continued, it will result in her giving the student a detention or further disciplinary action.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Akari acts quickly to break up the fight. Her priority is separating both students in a safe manner, preventing anyone else from getting hurt. She then calls for additional staff over the radio, if necessary. Akari checks the two students for any injuries and takes either one or both to the nurse's office if so. After the situation is settled, she asks any witnesses for their statement on the incident, as well as both students who were involved, to get a better understanding. Regardless of the cause, she will write both of them up for detention or an SLT report, depending on the severity.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job. How does your character react?:
Akari firmly advises the fellow employee to stop what they are doing and informs them that what it is they are doing is dangerous and why it is dangerous, and how they are putting themselves or others at risk. She then documents the incident and submits an SLT report, allowing it to be handled from there, and for appropriate action to be taken.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?:
Akari stays respectful and polite with her co-workers. She is always open to friendly conversations and casual talk. She treats everyone with courtesy, making sure to remain professional and avoid unnecessary conflict. As much as she loves to engage in conversation and chat with others, she doesn’t force interaction. She understands that the employee break room is also a place to unwind and relax, and is careful not to overstep boundaries, and respects when co-workers just want space or prefer to keep to themselves.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst in your chosen role:
Akari Yoromoto traced her fingers slowly along the edge of her lanyard, grounding herself as she focused entirely on the student seated across from her. Her posture remained relaxed, shoulders slightly lowered to appear approachable. Her gaze stayed soft yet attentive, carefully observing subtle shifts in the student’s body language, from their hands to their facial expressions, while giving small, understanding nods to show she was fully engaged. Her gaze flickered across their face, as if she were

Akari Yoromoto adjusted her seating position slightly, angling her chair to face the student more directly while still maintaining a comfortable, non-intimidating distance. She rested her hands neatly in her lap. Her expression remained calm and neutral, with a hint of concern shown through softened eyes and a slight furrow of her brows as she continued to assess the student’s emotional state.

Akari Yoromoto sat at her desk with a straight yet relaxed posture, carefully reviewing a stack of student files spread neatly before her. She flipped through each page with slow, deliberate movements, her eyes scanning every detail with focused precision. She occasionally paused, tapping her pen lightly against the paper as she processed the information, before jotting down organized notes in tidy handwriting, ensuring all records remained accurate, confidential, and up to date.

Backstory

[!] Akari took a deep breath. She held her head up, making sure to look confident and profressional. [!]
' ' My path to becoming a school counselor grew gradually, mainly shaped by years of noticing the people around me. How some carried their burdens quietly, how stress made even small things feel impossible. I wasn’t the loudest person in the room, ' '

[!] She smiled to herself for just a moment, looking elsewhere as she spoke. . . [!]
' ' but I became someone others could lean on, even when I didn’t always feel like I had the answers in my own head. ' '

[!] She now shifted her gaze to the Intreviewer seated across from her. [!]
' ' When I was a student myself, I saw others struggling in ways no one seemed to notice. It was frustrating, and sometimes painful, to watch people suffer quietly, knowing they needed support that wasn’t there. Back then, where I went to high school, the school counselling wasn’t that great. Counselors often were condescending or inconsistent with checkups. I felt guilty for noticing these things and not taking action. ' '
[!] Her expression was now firm. Filled with a look of determination. [!]
' ' That feeling stayed with me, and it’s what pushed me to study psychology and counselling. I wanted to understand people better, to be able to help in ways that actually made a difference. Not to condescend but to really listen to what might be troubling a person, and to be there for them when they feel like they have nobody else. ' '

[!] She then cleared her throat and continued. . . [!]
' ' Learning about emotional health, communication, and behavior gave me tools, but it also reminded me how much work there is to do, and how easily someone can be overlooked. ' '
[!] Akari let out a silent huff. Not an exaggerated sigh. The kind where you don't open your mouth. The air exhaled through her nostrils. She really felt this coming emotinally within, but did the best she could to keep her expression unreadable. [!]
' ' It’s a little strange to think about how you can be looking at someone who, to you, might be the epitome of thriving independently, but deep down, they aren’t. They’re just good at hiding their struggles. In everyday life, every person I walk past, I wonder what battle they’re facing. Because we're all fighting against one. No matter how big or small. ' '

[!] She kept herself composed, even after letting some form of vunerability strike through. [!]
' ' After graduation, I worked in places that tested me. Some situations were exhausting, some were heartbreaking. There were moments I wasn’t sure I could handle it, but each challenge taught me how to stay calm, observe, and respond thoughtfully and professionally. I learned the importance of listening without judgment and taking action without rushing, even when I felt the weight of someone’s struggles on my shoulders. ' '

[!] She made direct eye-contact with the Inreviewer. [!]
' ' I chose to join KHS because I want to make a difference here. It sounds cliche, but I want, not just students, but for everyone around me to feel safe, to feel like they can be heard. Actually heard. I want to help them navigate what’s hard, so they don’t have to carry it alone. That’s why I do what I do, and why I’ll do everything I can to make this school a place where support and understanding come first. ' '

Motivation for Joining KHS:

[!] Akari pondered for a moment, shifting her position, swapping her legs from her left leg, which was previously ontop of her right leg was now supporting her right leg while her left leg was the support beam below it. [!]

' ' As I mentioned, I’ve always felt a strong desire to help others navigate the challenges they face, especially in school. Joining KHS allows me to create a safe and supportive environment for students, where they can feel understood and heard. ' '

[!] She smiled warmly, aiming her beaming positivity towards the intreviewer. [!]
' ' I want to provide guidance that helps them manage their emotions and overcome obstacles, something I know can make a lasting difference in their lives. KHS seems to me like a place where my skills can be meaningfully applied. ' '

[!] Her smile was still present, however she seemed to hold a glint of determination in her expression alongside it, yet again. [!]
' ' My goal as a counsellor is to contribute to the well-being of the students and offer the academic and emotional support they need. ' '

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:

[!] She pondered again. This time was a little different. She seemed to be carefully piecing the words in her head like a jigsaw puzzel. . .where to put them, how to say them and with what tone. How did she really want to portray herself to the Intreviewer that sat before her. She finally spoke, seemingly having rounded up all the words she needed. [!]
' ' I believe that I bring a sense of patience, attentiveness, and professionalism that make me well-suited for this role. I notice details that others might overlook, and I am careful to respond thoughtfully to each situation rather than acting impulsively. Students can trust that I will listen without judgment and provide guidance with their best interests in mind. Beyond my skills, I try my best to offer a calm and approachable presence that encourages openness and trust. I am committed to supporting not only the students but the school as a whole, helping KHS maintain a positive and caring environment. I want students to know that I’m trusted and I can do my best to cater to their needs. ' '
