Describe your activity on the server:

My activity in short consists in large of time spent in individual factions over the course of a year. I’ve been involved primarily in GangRP and the School faction through a variety of roles. I plan on involving myself even more in school RP as I really enjoyed my time there and as for gang RP, I want to see myself involved in more legal forms of roleplay. I mentioned this previously in my old application however, I didn’t get much of a feel for legal roleplay. To reiterate, I was a lawyer but didn’t have much of a feel, however, it sparked an incentive to touch on legal roleplay. This is why I applied for the role of lawyer a second time alongside my active role of [Col][Track] on my main account (Kristian Kaas <3).

I began by becoming a Lawyer earlier this year, but my time was cut short due to getting incredibly busy irl (studying, working 2 jobs, and shi). I did formally apologize when I left for abruptly leaving but sometimes life does you like that, I had to set my priorities straight and quit SRP for a few months. However, I’ve been back and active for some time now since around June.

My activity is generally high however I have real life occupations that take a priority over SRP for me. This is just a formality, even though I believe I’ll spend more than enough time on the server to meet the activity requirements. I’ll always achieve the requirements for activity with the activity points, that I guarantee, and I guarantee efforts to achieve higher levels of activity.

In terms of timings I’m most active, you’ll find me active according to the following timings:
though I'm relatively flexible on the weekends.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:

Lawyer.

What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation has 2 main aspects. Contrary to other applications (where I notoriously yap) I want to encapsulate my ideas in responses in a concise and clear manner, displaying my potential rather than my ability to yip yap.

With that being said, the first OOCly motivation of mine stems from my interest in the legal world in general. Having taken a higher-education course in legal language, I found myself incredibly interested with the workings of contemporary law. Something I’ve noticed that doesn’t get done quite enough is the inclusion of modern day contemporary cultural references, a feature I noticed boosts the quality of arguments in real life. This is something I’d like to see introduced through me when I’m presenting court cases – the motivation here being introducing a new concept that I think the Government faction could greatly benefit from :) seeing as it’s a popular strategy used irl.

Another OOCly motivation that I have is developing my reputation on SRP. I’ve spent the last year trying to involve myself in more and more solid detailRP filled positions that benefit my rep. This is because a lot of people seem to have a tainted perspective on my reputation due to my time in GangRP, however, I aim to prove I’m a cutie patootie at heart with my time in the government faction.

Finally, my IC motivation is simply developing this Yunjin Ki character. I’m looking forward to the lore opportunities there are with him and it’d be a shame to vault someone with such an extensive lore foundation – relative to my other characters that is.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yep, I’ve read every law and constitutional right that Karakuran citizens withhold as well as the consequences (jail times) of breaking said laws.
Probably cuz getting jailed was a weekly occurrence for me.

Are there any goals for you or your character with this role?:
My goals when entering the lawyer faction is to not only develop a character and my reputation, but to also create a name for myself within the Government faction. This has been a goal of mine for some time now, even mentioned in a previous application of mine (Refer to my lawyer application in the applications section) where I labelled developing my skillset and knowledge within the faction as one of my primary motives. Furthermore, I’ve dabbled in taking my time to build very well-developed characters – such as Zakhar Yamashita Kuznetsov and Kira Andreev who both played critical roles in GangRP for a large number of gangs as a collective.

This is where my first goal comes in, I’d really like to see Yunjin become my next big character where I dedicate his lore generation to my time in the Government faction. If accepted, a lot of his lore will revolve around the town hall as well as building relationships with clients – I’m really looking to fit that lawyer from “Suits” vibe where he just shows up outta nowhere and begins slowly catching people’s attention for performing his job incredibly well (assuming I can do that oocly tehee).

In your own words, describe what the position you’re applying for does within the government:

Lawyers are an integral part to any government and the government faction on SRP. They provide legal services and legal advice to the community upon request – meaning they should have a complete understanding of the Karakura law book and constitution [which is also an IC book]. During cases, they represent clients, criminal or civil, and have the ability to perform attorney calls. Furthermore, they withhold the ability to file restraining orders and perform front desk work. Lawyers must stay true to the nature of their role and OOCly, people roleplaying as lawyers but do the best they can to provide quality and serious RP in every situation – according to the Gov Fac rules. No criminal / gang RP is permitted with the character involved in the government faction. Moreover, lawyers also frequently have returning clients who they provide legal advice to assuming said clients like their work.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Understood.

Do you understand that you’re expected to be dedicated to your position upon being accepted?:
Understood.

Are you aware that any display of OOC bias toward anyone on the job will result in punishment?:
Understood.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
Yep!

Are you able to attend weekly meetings & events?:
Yep. So long as it aligns with my time zone, of course.

2004: 16 years of age

Coming from a relatively rich family in an upscale neighbourhood, Yunjin would take advantage of the opportunities he knew he was blessed with from a young age. Attending some of the most prestigious academic institutions available in the country, he knew he had to be someone great. Identifying a resolute desire to become a lawyer from a young age – taking after his father’s footsteps – he would aim to work in a law firm his father owned in Ulsan. Yunjin’s first interaction with formal education in Law was when he was 16. After some serious convincing, Yunjin managed to secure a small insignificant placement at his father’s law firm as an assistant’s assistant. Although the role was clearly insignificant, Yunjin knew the value wasn’t in the work being performed but the ability to shadow his father’s legal practices. Taking advantage of that almost immediately, he’d shadow his father’s work taking mental notes of the general workings and internal operations at the firm. Understanding the language commonly used by lawyers proved to be invaluable experience for Yunjin from a young age – also exposing him to his father’s cold, cruel, and heartless mannerism which he would soon enough adopt.

Seoul, Korea.
2006-11: 18-23 years of age

After graduating at the top of his class in high school, Yunjin began to waste no time. No holiday or gap year was necessary for someone with the work-ethic, already borderline workaholic mentality, that Yunjin had adopted from his family. Yunjin set out to perform his bachelor’s degree at the Seoul National University where he finally moved out his parents’ house for the first time – setting up university accommodation on campus. This is where Yunjin learned the nitty gritty content required for his dream vocation of being a lawyer, he’d pickup the necessary toolset that could later be applied in any situation when in Korea – attending a globally recognized and prestigious academic institute yet again. After 3 years of Yunjin’s bachelor, performing a double major in Political Science and Humanitarian Law, he would then immediately move to perform his Master’s degree – contradicting popular opinion of getting some work experience in before moving to further education. The reason being, Yunjin didn’t want to just enter the workplace as a fresh graduate, he wanted to be a fresh graduate with an incredibly solid and indisputable foundation in law from an academic standpoint. Yunjin furthered his education at the SNU for yet another 2 years, completing his Master’s degree with a minor in Psychology. Yujin’s foundation and skillset was now complete – No more excuses now.

2012-22: 24-34 years of age

At this stage, Yunjin had made it very far overtime. He managed to secure a safe, salary-paying, high-ranking position at his father’s law firm. Aiming to become a partner one day, Yunjin would continue to prove his technical abilities by continuing to represent clients with very strong cases. This is around the time Yunjin began to also shine in a secondary interest of his, martial arts. This is where he got caught up in competing competitively on the down-low without his family knowing – it provided him an escape from the hectic lifestyle of a lawyer. After some time, Yunjin’s career took a deep turn for the worst as a prominent mafia boss informed Yunjin that he had to lose his next fight as they had bet large amounts of money on his opponent. Yunjin’s pride refuted and shrugged off the demand, assuming it was a bluff from someone trying to throw him off his game. As he did, he would put in a good effort and manage to win the fight with relative ease. An unassuming mafia boss took notice of Yunjin’s arrogance and considered it too offensive – you don’t get away with disobeying and flaunting your disobedience that easily.

2023: 35 years of age

One night in Seoul, Yunjin would simply get jumped by the mafia. A number of large burly men dressed in suits, sunglasses and, bowler hats would follow and corner Yunjin in a hidden-away alleyway behind an old Chinese noodle house. Yunjin would get roughed up, a gun held to his face causing him to face death for the very first time in his privileged and rich life. This was a dramatic wake up call for Yunjin, he knew it was only a matter of time before his love for martial arts caught up to him, posing a threat to not only himself but his family too. Yunjin’s life was spared that day, but he may not be as lucky in the near future. For his own sake, Yunjin made plans to flee the country – concluding that Karakura, Japan, was a near enough yet unsuspecting city that fit his requirements.

2024 : 36 years of age

Yunjin now aims to put his greatly decorated CV into practice in this new country he fled to, bringing his expertise from Korea to shed light on the Government on his unconventional approach to appealing to socially accepted morality through contemporary cultural references.

Nationality & born location:

Criminal record:
None.

What makes you a good candidate for this job?

Yunjin had gone through a lot with attempting to receive validation from his father – never receiving it. This instilled an impressive work ethic in Yunjin which forces him to perform his work to the best of his ability. Furthermore, Yunjin believes his experience from a big city would allow him to bring unique techniques to a city with a less prominent legal industry such as Karakura.
