What type of Roleplayer are you?!

1742238492241.png

Are you rather someone serious to be taken as, a serious Roleplayer?

Do you rather feel like being that one jock overall or are you rather someone that doesn't take Roleplay that serious?

Maybe you're someone that constantly uses DetailRP like the Saiky? Get on that level first.

ORR ARE YA JUST SOME DATER?!

Tell everyone about WHAT you are!

Personally I am a serious one.

For myself it does depend on character.. But for a majority I am an absolute clown Roleplayer and.. A SUPER SERIOUS ROLEPLAYER
Yes lets go with that (I'm just British level silly okay)

I mean, being on a sports team kinda comes with you experiencing alot of roleplay, but typically I'd consider myself a bit of a clown whilst remaining serious, keeps it more fun & entertaining that way

I think it depends on the character, really. I love to do serious casual-but -literary RP on some characters, while with others I like to relax and just be a little silly. In general I do think that on the majority of my characters I tend to be somewhere in between serious and playful writing-wise.

Something I find about the server is that if there's something I want, I'd double down on working to get it. In short you could say I can be a somewhat Serious Roleplayer As someone who heavily sticks with the rules along with being able to Roleplay itself. If yall ever encountered my characters Reiji or Amano one thing is I don't often DetailRP mostly because I want to get a message out quickly and it's easier to do that then waiting a minute for a whole paragraph. With that in mind as someone who doesnt use an SRP shaded skin, that doesnt mean much as I can detailRP just I dont do it a lot.

Another thing I've noticed is that also adopted this "I want this" and gets it mentality. For instance, If I wanna grow a Family I go out of my way to do the mandatory steps to see growth. Or if I wanna get more money I would do more classes for the month until I hit the cap. Or If I wanna buy a certain apartment I'd wait patiently so I can get it. Dead set goals but proactive with how I can get there. This might be because I have a friend (outside of SRP) who's like that which then translated to me having his mindset. If imma be honest, It's pretty stupid but it's something I've been seeing more with myself on SRP and idk if it's a good or bad thing.

I'm a detailrper and will always be one. I love detailrping actions if I'm in the mood and just love to write in general.

I consider myself a Detailrper. My auto responses tend to be detailed even if it's not a lot, but there are cases where it's much shorter for more silly, unserious rps

It really depends on the system, the setting, and the group I’m playing with.

I tend to enjoy playing sincere yet goofy fools - awkwardly competent, but endearing in their own silly way. That said... I’ve played a wide range of roles, having been both a Game Master and a Player since 2007. Over the years, I’ve embodied dozens of player characters and brought hundreds of NPCs to life (and death).

In sci-fi, I gravitate toward either the tech-savvy fixer who can patch up anything or the suave social ace with a lethal streak.
In fantasy, I prefer bard-type characters or wizards .... or both. They’re usually good at heart but tend to obsess over niche interests.

As for serious vs. silly RP, I find that playing a straight-faced character is both more honest and funnier. It lets others dial up their silliness while I stay the unshaken foil and by doing so, making the contrast even more entertaining.

mmm roleplay, i am a mix roleplayer. From serious to goofy, it all just depends on the character and what is going on around that character!

I have two rp methods:
1. barely anything.. like a simply action like /me hugged or /me blinked. I know. Incredible. So realistic. T-T
BUT, 2. is just very.. very.. basic detail roleplay, usually something to convey a character’s personality or subtle moves or fidgets, often used on my less goofy characters. Usually not appended.
(I usually use this on romancerp too. Don’t mind me. :])

I am TRYINGGG to find it in my heart and soul to actually detail rp, bare with me. <3

also, NONE OF MY CHARACTERS ARE SERIOUS.. Daphné comes the closest.

With the right people, I turn into a massive detailRPer! Sometimes I fall into the trap of typing too much on simple actions because of how animated and cartoonish my characters can be. But seriousRP...? I try my best :sob: I'm all for the goofy moments most of the time.

I agree with everything said above. It depends on what I'm doing, or who I'm with! I'm on a team - cheer, to be exact - and that requires a lot of time and a lot of detail. If we're doing anything rivalry-related, I'll put detail into that too! I detail angst a LOT... And yes, I do detail romantic writing - my character's married, after all. Howeeeever, sometimes I do joke around, and I'm unserious. It depends, again, on my mood, motivation, the time of day or night, or who I'm chilling with. I detailed angst just a few days ago, as well as my character giving another some advice / having a deep conversation. That same night, I was goofing off to goof off. My character's also unserious quite a bit of the time, especially on Onrain.. She'll be in all her friends' comments, pulling a Meredith Grey (pick me, choose me, love me LMAOOO).

Basically, it really only depends! - Sorry for this yap fest, oops.

it depends on the situation. I LOVE LOVE LOVE detailrping and i consider my character pretty serious in most situations, except rivalry ofc.
i used to romancerp a lot but i don't anymore for obvious reasons.

It always depends on the situation; though I find myself being a not so serious roleplayer, due to the fact I tend to enjoy myself more when I’m being silly on my characters. Though I do love to detailrp, so at times I can definitely get serious about roleplaying!

hi yes, my main character, Jina Hyeong.. is on the col swim team, and that being a rp based team, im very much used to detailing 24/7, BUT because of how jina is, i tend to come off as unserious cause she's lowk mean but super unserious with it cause she doesnt care i fear.. and actively trolls whoever cause that's just how she is when she's 'mean', other than that she's a sweetheart to loads of people, her friends, people she respects and what not! ive had her since 2022 but that was when i roleplayed her more seriously, she grew up and zont careeee atawll.

my greenie character, Hosoo, i tend to rp out her seriously since she takes everything literal, i try not to do it TOO much since she is 14 and i wanted it to be more realistic for a 14 year old but she has her moments where she'd shut down, ive played her enough to know what would exactly make her shut down, so for those moments, i lock tf innn and get so serious, should be studied!
