Describe your activity on the server:
Recently, I have become extremely active with as low as around an hour and a half and up to twelve hours of playtime each day. I usually log on daily just to see what's going on and hang around a bit before doing stuff outside and then returning... since I have only around three other things I focus my life on. I currently do not have a job but when I do, my activity may hinder due to that but that won't stop me from logging on at least once everyday. Aside from that, I do go to school so unless I am elsewhere, it's likely I'll be on SRP after the school day is over. If I have an objective to fill, I likely will not leave until a) I get bored of the objective or b) I complete my objective.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I’ve been part of SRP for just under three years , and in that time, I’ve gained a lot of experience, particularly with detailRP which is quite literally the role of a doctor. Early in my roleplay journey, I approached things differently. I didn’t fully understand the mechanics or the meanings of certain terms, and while I’m still learning, I now have a solid grasp of the majority of roleplay terminology and concepts, even using them in other situations. Before discovering SRP, my roleplay experience came primarily from Hypixel-style interactions. My initial “descent” into roleplay involved less dynamic scenarios, and I wasn’t immediately drawn to the idea of SRP especially since, at the time, my computer struggled to run it. When I finally joined SRP, I entered with no proper experience in authentic, structured roleplay. As I became familiar with the commands, terms, and rules, I slowly improved and reached a point where I feel confident in my abilities. I’d even say my experience is now comparable to those who roleplay for a living. Though my vocabulary isn’t extraordinary (shoutout to thesaurus websites), becoming familiar with specialized terms has been a big help in expanding it. When it comes to detailRP, I have plenty of hands-on experience. I type quickly, so you won’t be waiting forever to find out you have a concussion! If I come across a term I don’t know, I’ll take a moment to look it up, but that’s about the only time I might slow down. I approach new challenges with a mindset of figuring things out and finding a style that works for me. I’ve learned a lot from others, and I’d confidently say that detailRP is one of my strongest skills. To revisit my earlier experiences, SRP wasn’t my first introduction to roleplay. Hypixel laid much of the foundation for what I know, even if it wasn’t SRP-styled. It was far less detailed and revolved more around simple “character says” interactions. Taking it back even further, I started roleplaying as a child with friends on a map downloaded from Planet Minecraft, which featured houses and a school. While those roleplays were less structured and not what we’d consider “real” roleplays, they introduced me to the basics of roleplaying on your own. Admittedly, I used to enjoy controlling the narrative, but as I’ve grown and learned about roleplay standards and concepts like powergaming, I’ve completely changed my approach.

What is your motivation for applying?
Though I might feel a bit anxious about stepping into unfamiliar territory at first, I am confident that, with time and practice, I’ll gain the expertise needed to teach and assist others in medical roleplay. Teaching holds significant meaning to me both OOCly and ICly, as shown by my application to become a teacher, and taking on a medical role ICly provides an incredible opportunity to share my knowledge with others. The intricate details of medical roleplay often go unnoticed, especially the more smaller detailed aspects. Unlike other roleplays that often involve quick, one-off interactions, finding skilled medical roleplayers can be quite challenging. Here, the emphasis isn't solely on the medical professional (like the doctor or surgeon) but also on the development of the individual patient’s character since whatever the professional does, impacts the way roleplay may change.

Which role are you applying for?
Doctor

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
I know there are 3 subdepartments of the faction which includes Doctors, Psychiatrist, and Paramedics.

[DOCTOR]
Karakura Hospital’s doctors handle everything from simple check-ups to complicated surgeries. It's a role that is best for people who enjoy detailRP on the spot. They can diagnose patients and can help with mental diagnoses but may not be able to set it in place.

[PSYCHIATRIST]
They are more of the the******s part of the hospital. They diagnose patients, offer treatments, and do therapy. They are able to prescribe medicine when necessary and can help with mental issues but can't really do that with physical ones.

[PARAMEDICS]
I know you must apply to Doctor or Psychiatrist before entering the Paramedics department. You have to pass a residency exam to go to the Emergency department.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes.

Character Backstory (Optional):
[CHILDHOOD]
As a young kid, Byungho, aka Benny, was surrounded by a hostile family environment. His father didn’t treat him like a real son and his mother felt she was burdened by him and his sibling’s presence. He knew his mother would never approve of their existence but he carried on with life anyway, despite knowing he’d never feel a mother’s real love. He cared for his siblings day in and day out without hesitation. He helped them if they were getting bullied and would care for them vigorously. Despite his exhaustion, Benny thrived in his family home. He learned to cook, learned Japanese, and even JSL. He taught his younger brother JSL as well but he never quite caught the idea. This is where his love for helping others stemmed from. He’d done it since he was young, after all.

[INCIDENT]
One day, at the age of 12, he hadn’t seen his father in quite some time. This didn’t bother anyone, though, since he’d done this often. His mother knew he was cheating on her and didn’t bother divorcing him because it was too much of a hassle and she knew she still had some kind of feeling left inside for him. After the third day of his missing father, Benny decided to have an excellent meal with his family. He made a bunch of side dishes, main entrees, and even dessert. His mother refused his food since she said she’d make it even though she never had, and if she did, it’d be ramen or soup. Byungho placed his baby brother in his crib, not knowing what as to come. He sent his twin sisters off to bed and then tucked in his younger brother. He saw his mom fall asleep on the living room couch and didn’t bother to wake her up.

At around 3 am, he was stunned awake by his brother with a violent shake. His eyes burned the moment he awoke and his brother cried out to leave the house. Once he’d made it out of the burning building, he’d realized that someone was missing. His baby brother. He turned back as Jaesung, his brother, left the building with his sisters. Just as he mentioned the baby, an explosion erupted. His mother cried out as the two were sent nearly 20 feet. Jaesung landed in the grass while Benny landed head first into the street. An ambulance came and he saw as debris fell from the sky. His home was purposefully blown to pieces and he couldn’t figure out why.

[GROWING UP]
Finally, high school. Before he had left Korea, the decision brought hell upon his family. When he told them about it, they disagreed. He pushed more toward the fact that his mother was never there and he’d only ever cared for his grandmother and his siblings. He even threatened to take them. However, when he finally left and arrived in Karakura, he felt free. He moved in with his Uncle, Xiang, and attended the high school there with his younger cousins. When he graduated, he went to community college. At this point, his Uncle had a home now and they were no longer living in a cramped apartment.

After graduating with a master’s degree in Health and a minor in Child Development, he wondered where he was going to take his life now. He helped with volunteer jobs and even took many odd jobs such as construction, house cleaning, etc. He wasn’t poor, no, in fact he was incredibly rich with Korean won. His grandmother owned a business and was living in Seoul, so he wasn’t very worried. The only thing he worried about was whether or not he’d be able to stay in Karakura with it’s reputation. Despite his worries, he applied to many jobs that had to do with his degree. Daycares, preschools, nurse jobs, etc.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Since Benny pursued a major in Health and a minor in Child Development during college, he always had a strong desire to help younger people. This passion stemmed from his childhood, where he frequently cared for his younger siblings, developing a natural ability to nurture and support others. Building on this foundation, Benny decided to focus on pediatrics and work toward becoming a pediatrician. Although he doesn't wish to become a paramedic, he doesn't mind helping people in emergencies when needed, as he believes that every moment of care can make a difference. In the meantime, he cared for many children as a nurse, providing assistance to outpatients in their homes. His background and experiences reinforced his dedication to improving the health and well-being of children, both in clinical settings and within their own environments.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Yes, Benny has significant work experience in medical positions. Before pursuing his dream of becoming a pediatrician, he worked as a nurse, providing care to children, especially outpatients, in their homes. His role involved nurturing young patients, offering support to families, and addressing emergencies when needed. This experience not only enhanced his medical skills but also strengthened his ability to connect with children and their families on an emotional level.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

Benny, standing tall at 6'4" with his "oreo" colored Asian mullet, is both eye-catching and easy to approach. His calm and friendly nature, combined with his love for pumpkin spice and fall scents, makes people feel comfortable and welcome. Despite his height, which might seem intimidating at first, his gentle personality and soft features quickly show he’s a kind-hearted "gentle giant." His tattoo reading "사랑해요" (I love you) and his missing left ear add character and tell a story of his life, making him interesting and relatable. Benny’s great listening skills and caring nature, shaped by helping his siblings and nursing outpatients, make him someone people trust and turn to. The scars he carries, linked to his struggles with an obsessive disorder, show a harder part of his past, but they also highlight his strength. Benny stands out as someone who is kind, strong, and deeply caring, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

How does your character act around the hospital?
In the hospital, Benny is calm, focused, and approachable. He moves through his tasks with confidence, showing genuine care for patients and a steady hand in stressful situations. His friendly personality and comforting pumpkin spice scent help patients, especially children, feel at ease. Those who think someone else smells good have a chance at being a little more calmer in tougher situations. Benny is also a team player, offering support to colleagues and stepping in during emergencies, even if the situation isn’t directly part of his duties. His approachable demeanor makes him a favorite among both patients and coworkers.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Benny functions best when working with others. His calm and friendly personality helps him build strong connections with teammates, making collaboration smooth and enjoyable. He values the support and input of others, believing that teamwork leads to better outcomes for patients. That said, Benny is also capable of handling tasks on his own when necessary, especially in situations where quick decisions are needed. While he can work independently, he finds more fulfillment in group settings, where he can share ideas and rely on other's support and input.
