Describe your activity on the server:
I am online every day on my main account and am currently Captain of the College Female Volleyball team. Prior to this, I have stuck with sports faction for the majority of my time on the server: HS Swim, HS dodgeball, HS Fem VB x2 (I joined for the first time in 2022, and then again in 2023 where I stayed on the team 2 and a half years), COL Fem VB. A bit over a year ago I applied to teacher and got accepted there, but I quickly realized I wasn’t fit for it with its repetitive monologue-esque duties with lectures and then assigning and grading homework.
In terms of playtime my main has over 25 weeks, and my alt that I am applying with has nearly 2 weeks of playtime.

What is your motivation for applying?:
Since applying the first time around, my motivation hasn’t exactly changed. I’ve spent the majority of my time on SRP within the sports faction. While there are a lot of different ways to roleplay within that community, I find that it is very isolated from the rest of the factions, with no real cross faction interactions. I know that I would genuinely enjoy being a KPD officer because all the duties that you perform are not solitary, you need to go on patrols with other officers, deal with situations with other officers. That teamwork is something that you build with others in the faction. I trust that the rest of the community is people I would love to get to know. Previously I was scared of trying something new where I could potentially get my hopes up and then get denied, but I don’t want that to inhibit me from my goals. Overall I really just want to try something new, I want to get the most out of SchoolRP that I can.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
I can’t say I am the most experienced given that I have not been a part of the faction in any way, however I have picked up some things along the way from well known knowledge and my own research. In regards to knowledge, the common categories are codes, positions, equipment, and duties.

Not a full comprehensive list of full duties rather a brief overview of some activities KPD performs.
| Patrols | KPD officers regularly walk through the city looking for criminal activity; fights, masked figures, etc. |
| Arrests | Handcuff em n get mugshots. Heh. Yeah anyways officers detain individuals and log appropriate data. |
| Front Desk | A more passive task which is waiting for reports to come in either through walk-ins, or calls. It is expected that with minimal officers online, there are people at the front desk or at least within KPD building. |
| Interrogation | A strictly detective division duty, this is used to get more information out of criminals. |
| National Safety | During events that offer some sort of safety hazard, KPD are called to manage the scene. (crime events, ghosts, fires & other natural disaster events) |
| Tranquilizer | Used to subdue citizens or animals within a large radius. |
| Crowbar | Used mainly to get into places or containers but has a variety of usages. |
| Stun Blaster | Used to stun citizens within 8 block radius (not around water). |
| Baton | Used to fight or subdue citizens in close combat situations within 2 block radius. |
| Handcuffs | Used to detain criminals. Made of steel and can fit all citizens. |
| Pepper Spray | Used to subdue predominantly animals (infrequently criminals). |
| Riot Shield | Used as a defense. This must be used in main hand in order to protect, however can be switched to off hand to use other tools, but cannot be used defensively during so. |
| Rubber Boots | Used to protect against electrical current. |
| Gas Mask | Used in defense of biochemical substances. Muggable without KO. |
| Police Badge | Police identification. |
| Police Radio | Communication device. Waterproof, and not muggable but can be destroyed. |
| Body Camera | CCTV from officer’s perspective. Not muggable but can be destroyed. |
| Luminol Spray [ITEM RP] | Detects blood on weapons that have not been cleaned properly (hydrogen peroxide or bleach and water). |
| Disposable Gloves [ITEM RP] | Used to not contaminate investigation sites. |
| First Aid Kit [ITEM RP] | Basic emergency medical tools to give citizens an additional 5 minute timer until EMS are available. |
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
From a roleplay standpoint? It adds realism and either a protagonist or an antagonist against members within the crime faction (depending on which side you are viewing it from). Not only all that but it genuinely creates a well needed society, it offers structure and applies laws that would otherwise not be followed. Essentially everyone would just be running untamed without some sort of judicial system.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes I completely understand!

Note: Atsuto Kyo Banner was re-used from last application (its cute)
There was a slight tug on a door at the interview hall. After it had swung open, a fairly tall man stepped inside. He didn’t seem burly by any means, and rather his complexion looked like he was more suited to a camera then a police uniform. His face was stoic, and an air of arrogance followed him as he sat down.
What's your character's full name?:
“Kyo. Atusto Kyo. Please do not call me anything other than Kyo. This town seems rampant with people who disrespect others and call them by their first name.”
How old is your character (if accepted)?:
“Thirty-eight.”
What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
“He-him. I’m a male.”
Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD):
“Backelors. For criminal justice. I was hoping to get my masters but I had other priorities in the end.”
What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
“None.”
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
In the chair one could get a gauge on his personality. Though it wasn’t clear currently, when he entered the hall he appeared a rough 6'3; anywhere else in Japan and that probably would have been unusual. By all means, one could not discern any other nationalities, just Japanese. The blond hair that clad him wasn’t perfect, and clearly needed a touchup from the black roots that had begun to climb down the strands. The length also couldn’t be discerned whether it was intentional, or just not a priority as it hung to his shoulders, some of it pulled back behind his head. It was not as if he was entirely without personal care though, as it seemed clean and brushed, and his face bore a slight evidence of make-up, the most obvious of which was the corresponding eyeliner that matched his clothes.
Despite his flamboyant appearance, he didn’t wear even the slightest smile. Instead he looked icy, no smile lines indicating that really just was his average mood. Perhaps there was a slight rebellion to his attitude, as a tattooed sleeve of flowers littered his arm, and his ears held golden piercings that dangled and clinked together as he nodded his head. All of these go against the culture standards of Japan, and the so-called ‘respect’ he demanded. Hypocritical.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
The two terms, while often leading a night and day definition, didn't seem to change much. When behaving on the job, Kyo didn’t seem to hold anyone in kindness. Not that he was rude, but rather as if he had firm boundaries and was only there to “get the job done”. If asked, he would answer that he does enjoy work, and “why would he be an officer if he didn’t have fun”. Yet he never seemed to smile while doing any of his work. Nonetheless, he works quietly, and does the best job that he can, normally resulting in positive results. Kyo strives for greatness in what he does, and that applies to police-work, going to do the most he can to hopefully earn a promotion.
Kyo doesn’t seem to be casual ever in front of his co-workers, or within the confines of work. At home he’s little different, when he puts his mind to something, he streamlines focus and doesn’t relax. Essentially treating any hobbies he may pursue with the same lackluster enthusiasm as a job. It truly seems that nothing breaks his presentation.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
While he isn’t particularly friendly, Kyo still is amicable when it comes to his co-workers. A man of little words, he engages in conversation usually only when spoken to first, or when it is needed for the work they are doing. He values respect over all else, so when that is given, it quickly wins him over. While the opposite is dually true, any disrespect is not tolerated no matter if it is from a friend or superior. When he is not blatantly disrespected, he seems to be especially careful in front of seniors. No matter who he is around, even if he dislikes them, he will engage in communication and do the most for teamwork that he can since he believes that will succeed.
Especially in the line of work of police; being productive in teamwork is a priority if going against criminals. So whether he likes to or not he does strive to be competent and a team-player.
What's your character's backstory?
The Kyo family had its legacy, not that it could ever be fully traced back, but it was well known to the current generation that their grandfather was this sort of legend. Haru lived during one of the worst events of Japan history . . . “Great Kantō Earthquake”. He was only twenty-one when it hit, and it struck the area with such a force that would never quite be forgotten. During the period he was within the police force, and his wife gave birth to his son, Miura, shortly after. All of which turned his life completely into chaos.
Due to the things he had seen Haru could not be deemed a kind father by any regard. He was strict and often times failed to understand Miura's views on life. He expecting things of him, not out of hatred but out of the atrocities he had seen when so many lives were killed. In this wake of teaching, Miura loved his father, sure. . but there was a part of him who couldn't help but resent his father as well, for forcing principle on him. "Miura be strong." "Miura do well in school." "Miura don't let people be bullied." "Miura you aren't working hard enough." "Miura you MUST become an officer." Everything on his life became forced, he had no choice in the matters that pertained to his life for as long as Haru lived.
Miura at last found a partner, someone who would stand by him and guide him within the police force, afterall he wasn't allowed other hobbies. She held similar principles but was kind, and had high hopes for life, not the negative attitude his father held. Together they had dreams for freedom, and creating a family that went beyond what they had been taught.
So on a spring night, 1987 in Tokyo, the story begins for the protagonist in this story. Atsuto was named, his parents hoping for the blessing of him to be kind to others. They raised him with as much warmth as they could muster, allowing him to choose his own hobbies. With a mindset of wanting him to persevere, he later was not allowed to quit any of the so-called free will of hobbies. With his early toddler years being a bossy child, he was certainly a handful. When Atsuto demanded to learn how to fight at the prompt age of five, his parents signed the young boy up for Kendo and Kyudo. This did tame the “unruly beast’ somewhat, having an outlet to vent frustration. This was only furthered by the demanding nature of schools, forcing compliancy in the word of silence at your seat as teachers lectured. Not that Atsuto minded however, it was a relief for him to get some silence from the peers and busy life within Tokyo. It was almost a breath of fresh air for him, one that came crashing down every time he went home to his busy schedule.
Thus, the young boy slowly grew. At the age of thirteen- and the year 2000 came the first smartphones with cameras. The more wealthy friends he had being the first to handle the new technology instantly became enraptured with taking photos. By this time Kyo had fostered his looks that started to grow his popularity in the small school he went to. Unfortunately for him, he never was all too fond of the attention. Yet, when he vented his frustration to his mother, instead of supporting him, she pursued the idea of being behind a camera. When he talked back, his father took his wife’s side and well . . it ended in discipline, as for the first time, his father had struck him, doing what his grandfather did. . oh what a generation. It wasn't anything more than a casual discipline, but it left a mark on him and sewed distrust within his parents that would never quite be forgotten.
He further began to isolate himself, he no longer spoke up much, and began to appear cold. He focused solely on his forced hobbies; martial arts and modelling. Neither of which helped him stay away from attention as he began to surpass his peers in athletics, and looks that were a bit more than average before, now being constantly attended with make-up made him look better. Despite his meek nature, he did surprisingly well in the modelling business, his parents believing that would be the job to pursue after high school. Knowing the weight of what was to come, Atsuto deviated a plan to get that god awful attention away, and proposed being a police officer.
The idea definitely did not please his parents, but they could not refute it due to the hypocrisy of them being police themselves. So he directed all of his time to martial arts during the remainder of his teenage years, and when he entered Tokyo University, he studied criminal justice. After it he fell into line in the Tokyo Police Department. With his determined nature, he climbed a few ranks until a sudden plateau. The lack of movement and the ever growing hustle of the city started to feel like a curse, and in his late thirties he decided to move somewhere smaller. Ending up in Karakura, he applied for the Police Department to spark his journey once more.

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“Not in Karakura. Maybe in other parts of Japan . . but, not here. If I recall correctly it just results in a fine though.”
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
“There’s quite a number, but Paracetamol, Crutches, Cough Syrup, Iron supplements, and Melatonin. . . I believe there's limits you can get to each, so it’s not like you could purchase them unlimited. Plenty more to list if you would like me to. . ? But I feel it is rather self explanatory, all things being common drugs or aids that do little harm to oneself.”
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“While I like to stick to my own, quite frankly that’s by no means acceptable. I’d approach with a calm attitude, asking about the reasons for such behavior. Hopefully being able to reason with them. Otherwise I would physically pull them away. I’d have to inspect the criminal to make sure they are okay-despite them breaking rules they still deserve human decency. On top of that I would make sure my body camera is recording the footage, which after I have stopped the co-worker I would bring it to an immediate supervisor for inspection. I’d give a full report of the situation along with the proof and then leave it. It is not my job to police co-workers, only citizens, I’d leave the rest of the work to whoever in-charge and not worry about it further.”
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“I suppose it depends on where we are. If we are surrounded by other officers, I would instantly jump into the fray, and help protect my fellow officer. I’d aim to either protect the officer, or neutralize the aggressor. I doubt I would have a riot shield on hand, so instead I would pull out a baton and use that to widen the space between my co-worker or stun blaster and simply let the aggressor be incapacitated. If we were in an area alone, I would immediately radio for back up and give the location before moving onto what I just said. Either way the end goal would be to subdue the criminal with as little damage as possible, ending up with cuffing them and detaining them for further charges. Hopefully there will be evidence in the form of footage of body-cam, CCTV, or other.”
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“That is a tricky one to say as I hope it never comes true, unfortunately in this line of work it does happen though. I don’t know how I would find out, but if it involves my safety being at risk during a fight, I would immediately call for back-up. If it’s not the case then I would string together as much evidence as I can and then present it to a superior officer. Quite frankly, this is above my pay-grade so once it has been reported it is out of my hands. If I find that nothing has been done, then while I will not appear to make any more movements against it, I would report it to an even higher officer to make sure that both are not being corrupt. With that I don’t believe I could do any more than stay clear of traitorous co-workers. They are not only putting the rest of the officers in danger, but citizens. I would avoid contact with them.”
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“Well, considering that is against the law. . I would decline it and fine them for bribery. While I do not believe there is a procedure for anything more, I would give a stern warning against doing that in the future as it goes against laws, and I would not be complicit with a criminal. If they do not follow I will seek out elevating the punishment, or a superior who knows how to handle that more. I do believe I will be taught Karakura’s procedures so I won’t need to bring it higher though.”
