Born to a Kurosawa family, Yuuma grew up in a household that, while not unkind, often left him feeling like an outsider. His parents, Mayo Kurosawa and Mayuko Kurosawa while present, were somewhat distant. They were mostly focused on their own responsibilities and expectations, leaving little room for warmth. While his other family members, Neko Kurosawa, Ayame Kurosawa and Kazumi Kurosawa, had a different relationship with them, Yuuma felt as though he was navigating the world alone at times, relying on himself to find his own sense of purpose.
From a young age, he gravitated towards football, finding passion in the structure and the discipline of the sport. It became his escape, a world where he could pour all of his frustrations and emotions into every step on the field. MARCH 2025
During his time in Karakura, Yuuma has formed a close bond with one of her sisters, Neko Kurosawa. Despite being his sister, it's almost if they could even be counted as best friends, supporting each other through everything. Even in the darkest moments. Yuuma has stood by Neko's side, even through everything... even in the darkest moments.
Yuuma has also gained a few enemies in Karakura, notably Henry Takeshima and Samantha K. McLaughlin. Henry and a group including Salas Nikov once jumped Yuuma when he tried to be there for Neko, however later he confronted them and made peace with them, turning former enemies into new friends! With Samantha, things have remained more hostile. Yuuma was bitten by a dog while trying to give the pup a sandwhich, where in self defense he fought back to escape to a hospital for stitches. Samantha attacked him later, accusing him of harming the dog needlessly. Yuuma remains solid in his view that it was self defense. His dislike for Samantha only deepened when he learned that Salas also held resentment toward her, and now, Yuuma takes pleasure in teasing and speaking "not so well" per say towards her.
Emiko Miyazawa, once Neko's girlfriend has also left a mark on Yuuma. After their breakup, Yuuma was there to support Neko, though Emiko now sees Neko as an enemy. Despite this Yuuma remains on friendly terms with both.. though he find the situation difficult to remain as Emiko is not in the best terms with Neko. Yuuma still maintains a neutral stance though, continuing his friendship with them despite the tension..
Yuuma tried out for the Bobcat and Spartan football teams.. It left him disappointed in a way. He didn't get in. Despite not getting in, he keeps his head straight looking for another chance to redeem himself, he believes this only gives him motivation to improve and work on himself while honing his skills on the field. After all, the Spartan team sent Yuuma on his way with good spirits.. more so they even told him: 'If you grow up.. we're welcoming you with open arms, we'll have an open spot just for you!'. This touched Yuuma.. compared to the way he got treated by the Bobcats after a well shown performance at the tryouts. Bobcats picked his nose and made him eat his own gold..
As time went on, Yuuma gathered a couple other friends along the way, but something felt off about him.. It felt as he was bothered by something.

Yuuma started to feel as if he was treated wrongly, despite his mean sometimes unfavorable comments about people, he didn't mean anything serious with them. He realized that not everyone might have the same twisted humor as him, hence he tried working on himself.. namely the way he introduces himself, giving compliments and improving relations with people. He wishes to make up with the people that've treated him back the same way he did at one point.
With the Sports day coming up, Yuuma was seen challenging people left and right on the football field.. He meant business this time around, it wasn't a drill. He kept thinking of the same thing over and over again: 'I might have a chance now.. I'm gonna show my passion and prove them wrong, I'll beat them all.. I'm really going to prove them all wrong.'. Yet to no one's surprise.. he was yet again met with no team.. He'd tryout for the Bobcat's team once again.
Yuuma would be seen taking a lot more effort into fitting himself in with groups yet keeping his focus on improving himself both mentally and physically on the field, this was also the beginning of... wait is that actually a friendly looking Yuuma?! He.. actually has a lot more friends now!
Her sister, Tsukiko Kurosawa arrived in town and they started getting a bunch more close again, just as it was with Neko! Tsukiko once went to class even drew his brother Yuuma with a MUSTACHE!! After seeing such a beautiful piece of art.. Yuuma decided to truly get a stick on one himself.. It looked silly at first but he'd actually kinda started to like it in a weird way. Pass a couple days and turned out everyone in the family turned in for school on that very specific day.. Their plan was to of course celebrate this with a group photo, he'd really hold it close to his heart.

Sébastien Monzetsu. Yuuma noticed that he'd avoid him at all costs, so he started to question him with the answers being just 'You're ugly, please get out of my sight'.. One day Sébastien even stuffed him inside a locker.. 'NOT COOL..' he thought.
