What are your current roles on the server?:
・ 。゚ Zrle — [Grade-12][Volleyball] ── Main account
・ 。゚ Xrla — [College][B] ── Applying for role.
Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
As the basis of the entire server is the identity of school, teachers are a key part in the puzzle! Often the server comes with a lot of drama, from jock characters fighting, to new players not understanding what to do, teachers add instruction and structure to allow for smoother experiences overall. Teachers have a lot of responsibilities, including hosting classes to provide entertainment to the server during school hours, and breaking up fights and watching over students. Teachers are the core of SchoolRP during its school hours, and I would love to be apart of that.
Not only are teachers the very basis for the server, they also are a key aspect in roleplay as inspiration for children. They should teach both skills and manners, and be a source of guidance. Often children both IRL or their characters will have backstories where they don't have trusted adults in their life, so teachers can become those trusted people.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

What's your character's full name?: ミサヤ あられい - Misaya Ararei
What is your character's nationality?: Japanese
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Art
Describe your character:
A boisterous person, while being so tuned in to only herself, Ararei is both a watcher (though not much does she comprehend) and a strong voice. She captures every moment and strives to create herself. From the words she says, to every action she does, it is all made to be creative, to think outside the box.
「Life」
Misaya Ararei, from the very beginning, has only seemed to look to the future. Coming from a small family in Tokyo, she was always surrounded by chaos. The only time she seemed to have quiet was listening to a teacher speak in class or finding solitude in the art she created. Ararei found she could capture singular moments with a "snap" of a camera, and all the disarray stopped for that moment. With that, she aimed to refocus all her time on creating her own peace; from her name meaning "rough sea," the chaos embodies her despite her craving for a more tranquil life. She is a pure creator who embodies her own disorganized life while trying to become someone who isn't and can follow a more strict outline for the people and children she holds dear. With a goal to create her own harmonious family at some point, Misaya rides the waves of life.
「Appearance」
Standing at only 5'4, Ararei isn't particularly tall. She isn't particularly noticeable either, her frame is captured by tanned skin and a lose braid tucking down to her waist. A smile wears on her as a constant, keeping a positive attitude. Her outfit is kept tidy, with a skirt falling down past scrapped knees, clumsy perhaps? Her hair falls disheveled, despite the braid that is meant to keep it together, her bangs loosely frame her face. A scent of an oceanic perfume wafts from her, probably a bit too much.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
「Students」
Though Ararei's quite chaotic and unorganized, she wants to be a mentor and someone the younger generation can look up to. She likes teaching others and sharing the act of expressing, she finds that seeing what other people do can create besides herself. From when she was younger she felt that a classroom could be a safe space, so she wants to hold a place where others can have their safe space as well. Ararei believes creativity isn't limited to adults either, and sometimes the best art comes from those who haven't consumed the media of life, so while she teaches students, they help her grow as well.
「Co-Workers」
The view Ararei holds of her co-workers is both people she can befriend, and also look to for advice. She wants to get along with those she stands besides, and doesn't want to fall into petty drama over anything. Misaya doesn't hesitate to ask questions to learn more, and become better at what she does. She believes that co-workers are there to support one another, and overall foster a better environment.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Misaya Ararei just wants to make a classroom become a safe space. She wants to teach students to find their inner creativity, through any means of art, whether that be painting, pencil, or snapping photos. Ararei believes that art comes in many different forms, and being able to find how to express yourself is the true creativity. The classroom she has always found to be a safe space, despite the screaming that children typically come with, being able to listen to a teacher and get a moment of quiet between all the noise of life can allow for the most growth. Knowing that the children are the next generation, she wants to be an aide and help as many people as she can, with completely pure intentions she always strives to be the best she can, even if her lack of organization is a stutter in her path.

Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
「"What are you thinking about in this very moment?"」
Ararei approaches with a clear sincerity, truly wishing to find the students best method of expression. Understanding that not everyone might know what colors to use, or struggle to find the right way to display their creativity. "Lets start with something simple, if you had to say what you are feeling right now, in just a few words. . . It can be happy, calm, confused, or sad. Or if you don't know how to describe it, we can start from there too." The woman paused for a moment to let the student think, as they grabbed a dusty box from the corner, upon returning to the student, a few things were pulled out. Old magazines, and scraps of crisp paper. "If painting isn't working, than maybe lets start by using words. Find whatever words you like in this magazine, and cut them and put them on the page, anywhere you like. Whatever you feel is right, is right. There is no wrongs here."
「OOC」If the approach Misaya used doesn't work for the student, because they have any number of different ideas, she would find the best way for them to express themselves, even if it isn't her area of expertise. She wants all of her students to be engaged and find some way that their creativity can push into a visual art. As a last case scenario, a stick figure, or an abstraction of colored dots will do the trick!

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
「"Lets find another way for you to express yourself."」
Ararei in all her chaos would not want to stop someone from expressing themselves, so hearing someone talking over others would be just that to her. Instead of immediately shutting them down, all she did was place a small notebook on their desk, and a pencil. "If you have things you would like to say, just write them down, or draw them. Right now I need others to focus and it to be quiet as I speak." A smile pressed upon the woman, she truly hoped the best for her students. "Unfortunately, if you can't focus and stop others from expressing themselves I will have to ask you to leave the classroom." Misaya doesn't like to remove anyone from her classroom, but sometimes she knows it to be a necessity. A second chance can be given, though if they disrupt any further, she would pull them aside to speak on the matter.
「OOC」Misaya Ararei would keep herself calm within the situation, explaining exactly how the student should behave in a way that fosters the best learning environments for everyone.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
There would be three, not very neatly written out lesson plans, each on their own sheet of paper.
「LESSON 1」
I'll start with teaching them about the principles of art, in very brief simple terms. They will also be given a more extensive guide with notes on each of the principles.
Balance - Symmetrical, Asymmetrical, and Radial. In simple terms, balance refers to the amount of space is being taken up on a page, where it is and what is taking it up.
Contrast - The level of differences between objects to have them appear similar or vastly "contrasting." This can be as simple as colors, like red and green being high contrast, or objects like a paper clip and a staple being low contrast.
Emphasis - The most prominent center of an art piece, where the eye is drawn to.
Movement - How someone's eye moves around an image, through proper lines or implied lines.
Pattern - Repetition within a work to offer similar elements throughout an image.
Unity - How well all elements work together in a composition. Too much unity will be boring, and too little can be chaotic.
With all of the principles written out, all students will be given paper and colored pencils, and be told to create an image that highlights two of the principles. For extra credit, they can also describe why the image highlights the principles.
「OOC Note」All students will be tasked with describing the image in a book with as much detail as possible!
「LESSON 2」
In this lesson, all student's will be given a few basic concepts that they can create a scenery for.
A dystopian city
Some ideas to consider: What the buildings would look like? How does the city differ from a utopia? What laws exist in this society, and how can they be shown through the art without words?
A protagonist at the end of a movie
Some ideas to consider: How does their clothes differ from what they wore at the start? What genre is the movie? What physical attributes can make it clear that its the end?
A dense forest
Some ideas to consider: What kind of forest is it, rainforest, spruce, oak, etc.? What kind of animals could be found in the forest? What other plants would grow, moss? flowers?
Then they will be able to create this image, using whatever medium they would like on a piece of paper!
「OOC Note」Again, students will be tasked with creating this in a book, using words to describe the drawing.
「LESSON 3」
The third lesson plan is far more simple, they will be tasked with painting their favorite animal.
I will go over briefly how to make an animal, start with the shapes of the animals face and then their body, and to explain that limbs of the creatures don't just stick off straight but have bends at elbows and knees.
Then I will circle around the students, asking if they need help at all, and offer constructive criticism if they ask for it!
Bonus to give them a name and a backstory for your creature.
If any student doesn't want to create an animal, alternatives such as a scenery can be done.
「OOC Note」I believe you can do painting somehow on maps, this would be how this is done if possible. If I can't do that I will do the lesson the same with the last two, in describing in a book.
Have you read and understand the Teacher Application Guidance thread? Yes
