suggestion- chars on teams

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUGGEST OR MENTION:
At the moment the rules for teams are as so:
[IC] Team Suspension - x3
Arrested - x2
Expelled - x1

But my suggestion is, If your character was on a team and get kicked off for being in jail, that character shouldn't be allowed to try out for the team again. This may be controversial, yes but, the reason behind this is because your character would have built up a reputation- it also may come across as biased if your character was to get accepted again after many jails or whatever you may have been kicked off the team for.
It would also open up more chances for NEW members to be able to get on the team as well as implement the rules that already exist even more, so that team characters follow the rules, and if not they run the risk of that character not being allowed to tryout again.

If wanting any more information on this suggestion feel free to dm me - cre#3040

I also want to add something from this, I think people may be getting confused but if you get kicked from team to that would also result in the same thing, also I would say after either like 2- 3 arrests someone's charter shouldn't be allowed to tryout for the team again, I think when taking on someone on a team you should really value the qualities they would bring ICly and OOCly and if that's a bunch of warns and arrests wouldn't that just contradict what the team is about?
I understand there are exceptions when it comes to welcoming old members due to something happening OOCly, but Giving more people the chance to be on a team and RP as a team member is beneficial too and to welcome new members and meet new people.

No- I dont support- Players can make another char instead if "Opening chances" - it's be more up to the leader to make him able to come in again or not for his reputation

The thing about it is that some team members that have been arrested a ridiculous amount of times have been accepted back due to OOC reasons. If it was performed ICly, and reallistically, the built-up reputation would make them unable to join back, considering how even some schools straight up expel people who have been arrested once. Due to the fact that some team leads and members are friends OOCly, they allow them back in, which is totally unrealistic. That's precisely the point of this suggestion; to actually make this stop and allow other new members in

I mean yes it may be up to the captain to decide but it should be fair across all teams, also if we put this in a realistic situation if you got arrested you would get kicked from school, and the teams u may be on you would just be cut off from school stuff as such

Yes, but if this character killed someone for example, or participated in the killing- are they really fit to be in a team again? Just an example, but think about the finer details.

i agree w this on some extent like, if the arrest was severe but if it's something as small as reckless driving or something, I don't think they shouldn't be allowed to try out on that character- since the crime isn't extreme whatsoever

i don't agree with this as there are many times where people will be arrested for silly reasons that don't make sense or arrests such as "reckless driving" and "not being able to pay a fine" and then if that happened twice their character that could've had months of play time with development would not be allowed on a team ever again which in my opinion wouldn't be fair . however, on other thoughts i do seem to agree in a way where if the arrests were for something such as assault two times or murdering or something that's on a higher level of needing their character to be prohibited from trying out again

overall i think -1 sorry

majority of the time- the arrests r really small… and i dont think that they shouldnt get a chance to tryout again because there could be so much roleplay manifested from that. . . from rumors to false accusations- It could practically make a very engaging topic. Plus, if they were accepted back in- it should be heavily on ICly reasons. . . what if they wanted to accept them for the sake of drawing attention to their team? Finding a scapegoat? Looking for that one person to harass all the time? A lot can be done with it, and just scrapping that chance isn't a very wise decisions so for now I'll disagree

Good suggestion, though being ineligible after one offense seems rather harsh. I say this because it doesn't account for people who genuinely, unintentionally commit a crime. Getting to RP on a character with months of hard work behind it should not be limited by a singe arrest when someone commits a crime that they were unaware was a crime. I've seen sports team members jailed for 'Reckless Driving', and when asked, almost all of them claim to have done it unintentionally. The already limited room for error should stay.

The thing is that, realistically, it doesn't make sense that someone who has been arrested 3 times is accepted back into the team, instead of many other people who could have the possibility to join in the team. I'd say it's mostly based off an OOC agreement, rather than an IC decision, considering how it'd be giving them a bad reputation when accepting someone who's been arrested multiple times beforehand. It's true that some people may have done a lot of stuff in a team regardless of the fact that they've been arrested, but it reaches a point where it's absurd that someone who has been kicked off the team several times (due to the 2-arrests rule) has been accepted back into the team

While it is an issue, that's a fault that lies within the team captains themselves, I don't think that there's much that more rules could fix.

That's the kind of point of this suggestion, to prevent team captains to take such decisions

Right, however my point is that captains should still be able to choose, based off of judgement, and unbiased opinion, though there is no way to really enforce that. If someone had gotten kicked off for two reckless driving charges, nobody would look at them like they were a 'monster', or an overall bad person that should be barred from participating in sports. I do believe that this suggestion should be put in place to a degree, however it would be more work for the school staff to keep track of who can/cannot participate in sports based off of the severity of crimes commited. That is why I believe that it simply will not work. If it were put into place, sports would lose a good deal of active decent roleplayers due to unintentional reasons.

if it's like a small forgivable arrest yeh, but i still think the rules of arrests are they to stop people from doing the crime in the first place

overall though, i think it would stop people from doing small crimes as such and the suggestion isn't all crime related as such, your character can be kicked off the team for many different reasons, like just being inactive or whatever that should also come into consideration when someone is trying out

yes i agree! the more rp experience to bring drama, but you can also be talked about whilst not being on a team as well if they run the risk maybe they gotta deal with the consequences, but like i recently mentioned i think if your charter got kicked of the team for a reason they should be removed, it gives other people a chance to be on a team and gain the new RP experience to

yeh, i understand some small arrests may be different but, you get kicked off the team after ANY 2 arrests, these aren't my rules, they are the team rules and its up to you what you do if you run the risk of being arrested or kicked of the team
