♡ What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
♡ GENERAL EXPERIENCE
I believe I have quite a bit of roleplay experience, as this is something I have been doing in various games for a long time. I have tried many different aspects of roleplay, from minecraft roleplay, to GTA roleplay, to roleplay in other games where the main focus is on player controlled RP. I think roleplay is one of the best types of gaming, as no two experiences can be the same, I enjoy meeting people and seeing how they interpret their characters and the world they are in, and I enjoy being able to learn and share new stories and experiences with different people. I also enjoy trying different styles of roleplay, as I find it helps me get used to different styles and the various characters I can be.
♡ SCHOOLRP SERVER
SchoolRP is one of the largest aspects of my roleplay experience in the way that I have been very active in getting involved in certain areas on the server rather than simply doing regular roleplay. I am currently involved in a few clubs and roles such as Vice Lead of the Fashion Club, have a role in Photography/Media, and also with the Anime Club. Being involved in clubs is great because there are a lot of new opportunities to roleplay with new people, and I get to be involved with events, and have a change of roleplay. I'm also a Reporter, which is a very different style of roleplay for me. I do this by conducting interviews with characters, writing reports, writing articles about different topics around Karakura, and coming into contact with players in a more professional setting. I've learned how to interview people about their lives and experiences, which makes it easier to approach new characters and make a conversation flow. What are some of the experiences you have had on SchoolRP? I find that I really like to describe things in a lot of detail when roleplaying, and whenever a situation occurs, if it fits I try to include actions into my text to entertain my partners and make sure that I remain in character. I've also been involved in clubs and journalisms, which have helped me further develop my characters as I can see a broader variety of characters and roleplays. At the same time, I don't mind shorter responses or even just dialogue, especially if things are a bit more casual or quick paced. My general strategy is to tailor my tone to the style of the rp I am in around me, but not to overwhelm anyone with lots of pauses or time to reply.
♡ OTHER MINECRAFT ROLEPLAY
Apart from SchoolRP, I have also played on other Minecraft roleplay servers. These will be good to try out other environments, characters and types of RP that may not be around the theme of school or city. Playing on a different server is helping me become more flexible because each community will have expectations and different ways of RP. I've also become more comfortable encountering people I haven't roleplayed with yet, which I think is really key to multiplayer RP. I feel comfortable to initiate something, acknowledge other peoples characters, and develop a scene naturally, as opposed to trying to force the direction of the RP.
♡ DIVERSE ROLEPLAYING EXPERIENCES
In all, I have been involved in nearly every type of RP possible, from the most casual of chats to the more serious and organized. I've done workplace RP, character RP, events, clubs, interviews and a multitude of other community RP's. Roleplay is something that I really like because I think there really isn't a particular way that you have to go about it. Everyone writes differently, using different characters, and different ideas. The fact that I have roleplayed with many people has helped me to learn how others write and be creative. I always try to remain open minded and to have fun with the roleplay.

♡ What is your motivation for applying?
I also want to join the Hospital Faction because I feel like it would help me experience something quite different from my usual roleplay. For the most part, my only past experiences have been through jobs, clubs, a reporter and just regular RP with people around Karakura, so being in medical RP would be a nice change, and also give me some different opportunities to create different scenes. Additionally, it would be very interesting for me OOCly, because I want to become a (GYN/OB) in the future, and though I know SchoolRP will never be as complicated or well-rounded as real school and training, the idea of doing some medical RP and getting some idea of the interactions between doctors, patients and other doctors would be very valuable for me. I also really enjoy things that require spontaneous planning, and not every patient is going to act the same or have the same things, so I would enjoy RP where I would need to respond to the other person, instead of planning the whole scene myself. Additionally, I want to join because it would help me expand Shizuku. I have already spent a lot of time thinking about his education, background, personality and how he has developed in different ways, and I think having him in the medical field would give me many more opportunities to put some of those elements to use in real time, rather than just listing them all off in his profile. I would also like to learn from others in the faction and develop my own RP, even if I have to go into it knowing I will need to learn terminology, procedures, protocol and the best way to deal with the situations I will encounter. I also think it would be very fun to be able to work with others in a situation where teamwork and communication are important.

♡ What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

Paramedic | From what I have learned, Paramedics are essentially the first people responding to an emergency before a patient can receive more advanced treatment at the hospital. They respond to calls around Karakura, assess what is happening with the patient, and provide immediate care to keep them stable. Their job can involve things such as first aid, treating certain injuries, basic suturing, and making sure a patient is in a safe enough condition to be transported. They also have access to an ambulance and the equipment inside of it, which allows them to provide treatment while getting the patient to the hospital. I see them as a very important connection between an emergency happening in the city and the rest of the medical staff. |
Doctor | Doctors handle a much wider range of medical situations within the hospital. They are responsible for examining patients, figuring out what may be wrong, ordering or performing tests, and deciding what treatment is appropriate. They can also prescribe medication and perform surgeries when necessary. From my understanding, Doctors need to be familiar with both external injuries and internal medical problems, which means they have to know how to use different equipment and understand what the results of those tests mean. This can include things such as CT scans, MRI scans, and other equipment used to help diagnose a patient. Doctors can also be involved with the morgue when the situation calls for it. |
Psychiatrist | Psychiatrists focus specifically on the mental health and psychological side of patient care. They assess patients to better understand what they are struggling with and can diagnose mental health conditions when appropriate. They are also able to prescribe medication and conduct appointments where they work with patients over time rather than only treating a single immediate problem. From what I understand, their work can involve helping patients deal with things such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health difficulties. I also understand that medication isn’t the only part of their job, as communication and helping patients develop healthier ways to cope can be just as important. |
Trainee | Trainee is the starting point for someone joining the Hospital Faction. At this stage, the member is still learning the responsibilities of their chosen department and gaining practical experience. Trainees are able to learn through hands-on situations while still having more experienced members around to guide and correct them when necessary. They aren’t expected to know everything immediately, and their progression depends on how well they learn the role and how comfortable their supervisors are with allowing them to move forward. |
Doctor / Psychiatrist Resident | Residents are members who have progressed beyond the trainee stage but are still developing their skills before becoming fully independent. A Doctor Resident focuses on gaining more experience with medical cases, patient care, diagnoses, and the responsibilities expected from a Doctor. A Psychiatry Resident does something similar but focuses on mental health and psychiatric care. Both positions still involve supervision, but they have more responsibility and experience than a trainee. I understand this rank as an important stage where members are expected to take what they learned as trainees and apply it more confidently in actual situations. |
Attending Doctor / Psychiatrist | Attending Doctors and Psychiatrists are fully licensed members of their respective departments. At this point, they are trusted to handle their responsibilities without needing another member to constantly supervise their work. Clinical Lead / Chief Paramedic | Clinical Leads and Chief Paramedics are senior members who help oversee their respective departments. Their responsibilities aren’t only focused on individual patients anymore, but also on making sure the department itself is running properly. They can oversee other staff, help manage issues within their department, and make sure members are following the proper procedures. I see these positions as the people who help keep their departments organized while also supporting the members underneath them. |
Director | The Director sits at the highest point of the Hospital Faction’s hierarchy and has responsibility over the hospital as a whole. They oversee the different departments, procedures, and major decisions made within the faction. Because of their position, they have the final say on major matters and are responsible for making sure the hospital continues to operate properly. They also have involvement in major medical situations and surgeries where their approval or oversight is needed. |
My Previous Experience | Before considering applying to the faction, I actually had the opportunity to participate in a Hospital Faction’s internships. That experience gave me a better understanding of how the faction works and what each department contributes to the hospital. I wouldn’t claim that I know absolutely everything, because there is still plenty I would need to learn through actual experience, but I would say that I have a decent understanding of the basics of each department and their responsibilities. One of the biggest things I took away from the internship was how much the departments rely on each other. Paramedics, Doctors, and Psychiatrists all have different responsibilities, but they still need to communicate and work together to give patients proper care. Because I’ve already had some exposure through the internship, I feel like I have a better starting point and understanding of what would be expected of me if I were to join the faction. |

Shizuku would sit comfortably across from the interviewer, his back resting straight against the chair as he settled himself into a comfortable position. His hands would remain loosely clasped together in his lap, fingers occasionally shifting against one another as he waited for the question. He’d briefly glance around the room, taking in his surroundings before returning his attention toward the interviewer. His visible eye remained focused on them, his expression calm and attentive as he listened. After a short pause, he’d slightly adjust the sleeve of his shirt, smoothing out a small crease near his wrist before letting his hand fall back into his lap. He’d take a quiet breath before finally speaking, his voice even and composed. “My full name is Shizuku M. Yozora.” He’d pause for a moment, briefly looking down before meeting the interviewer’s gaze again. “It’s the name I’ve used for most of my life, and the name I’m comfortable being addressed by.”

He would sit back in his chair in a relaxed position, with one leg over the other, when asked a question and wonder a while with a gentle expression on his face while the visable eye would momentarily look downward before tilting back upward to the interviewer. After a brief moment he would nod slightly before responding. "I'm twenty-nine years old." He paused, his fingers idly clicking once or twice against his knee before he stopped. He shifted in the chair and settled back into a more relaxed stance as he continued. "I have had plenty of time to complete my education and gain a good level of experience in my chosen field, but I don't think there's nothing left to learn." He would then trail off and his face would turn thoughtful. "Medicine is constantly changing, and there's always something new to learn or something to improve. I would rather continue my knowledge of what I already know than assume I have reached the end and not have anything else to learn."

Shizuku would shift slightly in his seat before straightening up, giving the interviewer his attention as he began to answer. He would reach out towards the folder on the desk beside him, fingers hovering just over it before deciding not to open it. He'd leave it where it was, trusting himself to give the information without needing to refer to it. He'd take a breath, a pause in which he'd think to himself about how he'd phrase his education, for he didn't know if it would be best to just go through every subject he had. "I have a Master's, with most of my education being around medicine and the sciences related to it." A pause as he lowered his visible eye to his hands, collecting his thoughts. He'd have his fingers loosely clasped in his lap before continuing his answer. "Throughout my education, I had to learn about subjects that involved anatomy, physiology, medical terms, patient care, and various other aspects of medicine. Most of the classes involved a good amount of information that had more of an application than theory. I had to understand why things were the way they were and how different systems worked together and how it could be applied to different situations." He shifted slightly in his chair, adjusting the cuff of his sleeve before continuing his answer with his gaze forward.
"There's also a lot of learning to listen and apply yourself. Medicine isn't always what you're expected to know right off the bat, and it's not always something you can understand with a basic explanation. I've learned to take my time and evaluate situations, considering all information given before jumping to conclusions and taking action based off of incomplete information. My education has also taught me the importance of collaboration. While a good foundation can be established on your own, you have to know how to get help from others and learn from their experience. Knowing how to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other professionals in the field would be just as important to me as the academic side of medicine. One thing I've learned through my education is that while having a foundation is important, it isn't going to prepare you for everything. Medicine, and more specifically what I'm going to be doing, can teach you new information and introduce things you haven't seen before. I've learned that it's just as important to ask for a second opinion as it is to be able to handle things yourself." A pause as he considered his next point before elaborating in a softer tone. "I think that knowing when to ask for another opinion is just as valuable to me as knowing how to handle something on my own. I'd rather know that I can count on someone else to help me and make sure whatever it is I'm doing is done right than let my ego prevent me from asking for help. My education gave me a foundation, but it's something I've learned to supplement throughout my career."

Shizuku would look down for a moment, his expression composed as he took a moment to think through what he would say. His thumb would slowly come to rest on the edge of his hand before looking up once more at the interviewer. He would lean a bit more comfortably in the chair, shoulders loose, as he began to talk. "I'm Japanese, but as well as Korean." He would pause briefly to give a small nod before moving on. His fingers would twitch slightly in his lap as he considered how much or how little he should say. "That's the nationality and culture I was raised in and surrounded by. My upbringing, the customs, mannerisms, and traditions that shaped a part of me are of the Japanese culture, so it's something that's close to my heart." He would glance briefly to the side before looking up again at the interviewer. "Still, my family has introduced me to other cultures and languages to me since I was young, so I've always strived to be respectful and understanding of those who may not share the same background or upbringing as I am. I think it's important, especially for those that come from a culture different from others, to learn about where the people you meet come from." He would give a small thoughtful nod before settling back down, hands coming to rest loosely clasped together once more. "Being Japanese may be a part of who I am, but I've always tried to learn about other cultures and treat them with the same respect that I think they deserve."

Shizuku would blink once at the question before giving a quiet breath of amusement. He’d shift slightly in his seat, though his expression would remain composed. “I’m single. I’ve never been married.” He’d briefly look toward the side of the room before returning his attention to the interviewer. “Most of my focus has been on my education and the direction I wanted my life to take. Relationships aren’t something I’ve really prioritized.” He’d give a small shrug. “It’s not something I particularly worry about.”

Shizuku would take a few seconds before answering, looking down at his lap as he thought about how to phrase his answer. He would slowly tuck his fingers one over the other, a relaxed but inattentive pose, before looking back up at the interviewer. "I'm an agnostic. I don't believe in a higher power or God, so I can't claim that I do know if there's a higher power, but this is where my beliefs are at the moment." He paused for a moment, brushing his thumb over one of his fingers absently as he thought of how to put the next part. "I've never really seen the need to push myself towards believing in something greater just because other people do, and I'm okay with admitting that there are some things I just don't know. Of course, I don't see anything wrong with people who practice a religion, either. I believe everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want, and I don't think anyone should be discriminated against based on their beliefs or their religion. Outside of a hospital, I think people are entitled to believe whatever they want to believe. However, I also believe that inside of a hospital, a place meant for caring for others, the staff should listen to and care for the patients first. What the patients believe outside of this place shouldn't affect how they're treated here."

Shizuku would raise one hand slightly, counting the languages on his fingers as he spoke. “I speak Japanese and Korean.” He’d lower his hand and rest it against his knee. “Japanese is the language I’m most comfortable with. Korean is a little more personal.” He’d pause, his expression softening slightly.
“I was adopted into the Yozora family, and they have a strong connection to Korean culture. Korean was spoken around me while I was growing up, and after I became part of the family, they took the time to teach it to me properly. I learned through everyday conversations, listening to my family speak, practicing pronunciation, asking questions, and eventually using it myself. It wasn’t something I learned from a textbook and forgot afterward. It became part of my everyday life.” Shizuku would give a small nod. “I’m comfortable holding normal conversations in Korean. There are still uncommon expressions or slang that might make me stop and ask for clarification, but overall, I’m able to communicate fairly well.”
♡ Character Backstory (Optional):
Shizuku would become notably quiet when prompted about a past experience. He would have a moment to gather his thoughts before responding, and his expression would betray a slight hesitation regarding just how much about his past he wished to share. "I was adopted in by the Yozora's when I was young. As such, I don't exactly remember a time with them not being a part of my life, so when I think about my childhood, I imagine it as being with them. They were the people who raised me, cared for me, taught me, and provided me with a place to grow up and determine who I wanted to become. As such, I never really thought of the adoption as something of a distinction to make, since they became, and still are, my family. They gave me a home, a name, and the opportunity of becoming the person that I am now, and I think sometimes people will place too much emphasis on whether or not someone is biologically related to you, but that was never a thing I considered. The people who give you care and raise you are the ones that determine who you become as a person, family or otherwise. Living with the Yozoras also meant that I was exposed to their culture. I think it is safe to say that living in their home meant that I was exposed to many parts of it, not least of which was the language that they spoke, Korean. As such, I think it is safe to say that I learned Korean as a language, rather than studying it from a text book. I learned it from hearing it and practicing it with those around me, who all spoke it as a mother tongue."
Shizuku would make another pause before continuing on.
"I think I may have also learned a lot about adapting to things I don't already know. My left eye is essentially blind, and I have lived my life compensating for that fact. I don't think of it as a defect or a limitation, simply something I have to take into account when doing certain things. I learned to observe a lot more closely, to be more aware of my surroundings, and to compensate when something goes beyond what I normally experience. I think it has also made me more aware of the challenges that other people may face, since everyone has something that they have to adapt to in their lives, something that they have to live around. I learned early on that just because something is difficult for you doesn't mean that it is an obstacle that stops you from living the way you want to."
Shizuku would then glance at the interviewer before he continued, now speaking in a more casual tone.
"As I grew up, my interests began to shift. I took an interest in the natural sciences, and I enjoyed learning from them. I wanted to understand how things worked, what made up things, how the body worked. I think it is safe to say that my interest eventually grew into studying medicine. I also think that medicine was something that interested me, since it doesn't just provide knowledge, but it also puts that knowledge to use. I think it is a field that requires not just knowledge of what it is that you are doing, but also of how you can employ said knowledge to make a difference when you need to make one most. It took some time, but the more I learned, the more serious my interest in medicine became. Eventually it became a desire to learn more, and to further my education, and to eventually put my knowledge to practical use. Now, at twenty-nine, I find myself having spent a good portion of my life building my knowledge and understanding of medicine, as well as figuring out how I want to use it. I don't think I am ever going to stop learning, and I think medicine is one of those fields where you can spend your entire life learning things. There are a constant number of new patients, diseases, cases, and things to learn about that can keep you busy for the rest of your life. And so, I think when I look at my life, my childhood, my growing up, my education, and my eventual turn towards medicine, it all seems to fit together. The life the Yozoras gave me, the knowledge I have, and how it has all turned into my interest in medicine, and now I want to take that knowledge further and continue to develop it."

♡ SECTION 2 — MEDICAL HISTORY
♡ Medical Specialty and Why Was It Chosen?
My character works in the sphere of General Medicine, with a specific focus on Emergency Medicine. The rationale behind such a choice is that General Medicine helps Shizuku become a better practitioner because it exposes him to a wide range of diseases, injuries, and patients. In other words, he is not tied to a specific group of patients that may have particular additional needs. At the same time, Emergency Medicine is an interesting field because it challenges a practitioner to think quickly and act decisively. Additionally, it requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with others, which is paramount in this sphere. As for me, I believe that this choice reflects my character because I am a person who observes much and rarely jumps to conclusions. However, this does not mean that Shizuku is not ready for action when the time has come to act. Finally, I think that his interest in the Emergency Medicine field is not an overstatement. I believe that Shizuku is a caring person, but he also appears to be quick to action, which is why emergencies would be an adequate match for him. Nevertheless, I do not think that one can simply assume that Shizuku is perfect in all spheres pertaining to emergency cases. It is an area of great interest to him, but he will have to acquire new skills through practice.
♡ Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Shizuku does not have previous professional experience as a doctor. His expertise primarily comes from his medical education and training, which has provided him with the academic foundation to be able to work in a hospital environment. I want him to have room to grow in this, through Hospital Faction RP, rather than already knowing everything or being able to handle every situation perfectly. He knows the medical fundamentals and has studied the responsibilities required of him, but there is a difference between having academic knowledge and applying that knowledge to practice. Because of this, Shizuku would still have plenty to learn from more experienced members of the faction. He would be willing to take advice, learn from errors, and become more confident as he gains experience. I think this gives him room to naturally grow as a character, rather than already being an expert doctor.
