Please read through the following before preceding and confirm you understand
- Club Leader is considered an intermediate role, whilst we encourage players of all sorts to apply, please note that the tasks of a club leader can be intensive at times when it comes to meeting event's and club member management.
- When it comes to inactivity, it must be logged or you could face reprimand or possible termination in extreme cases, you are responsible for your own activity, your club's activity and your club's retention.
- Clubs must be student appropriate and easy to understand with a specific theme, this is to maximise student interest and remain realistic.
More information on what makes a good club theme can be seen here:
- Resource 1
- Resource 2 - We recommend having a basic understanding of leadership before becoming a club leader, this is to ensure the smooth management of your club's members, help will be provided along the way, from the faction lead, assigned student councillors to supervise your club.
Do you understand everything that was listed here?
I do understand each thing listed! I believe that I can handle all of the tasks required of club leaders!
I do understand each thing listed! I believe that I can handle all of the tasks required of club leaders!
What is your name?
Ritsu Shinozaki!
What is your age and grade?
I am 20 years old, and I have a bachelor's degree! Working towards my Master's degree, but I won’t be 21 until September!
What is your motivation to lead a club within the school? (250+ words)
Wellll.. Ummm.. uhh.. Well, my motivation? I guess it’s because of a couple of reasons that I want to lead the club.. I hope you don’t mind me listing a couple of those reasons..
˚⟡˖ ࣪Reason #1: I want to be a good influence! ˚⟡˖ ࣪
I want to be a good influence! I’ve seen ummm.. Certain other club leaders.. I won’t name names that are a bit evil.. And I believe that if I’m a good club leader, they might follow, which will prevent things from going poorly.. I think when your club leader is evil, you end up suffering because of it. I would know since the gardening club leader was.. A bit evil.. And I just want my members to be happy being in my club! I knowwww.. Most clubs have good leaders, but I want to be a club leader so that I can be similar to them!!
˚⟡˖ ࣪ Reason #2: I want to help the school! ˚⟡˖ ࣪
I want to help around the school as a club leader! I believe science can be used to help so many things!! I mean, just think of like medicine or something that helps everyone daily if they get hurt.. So like basically that’s entirely science and I believe thaat as club leader I can help get rid of some of the possible dangers there might be in the school! Like, I mean, I can’t really name any since I mean, yeah.. But like uhhhhmmm.. Yeah, I just promise that I’ll help the school be better through me being a club leader! I also want this to be a safe place for students to feel included and not like they are being judged!
˚⟡˖ ࣪ Reason #3: I'm super interested in science! ˚⟡˖ ࣪
I’m super interested in my club idea! I REALLY like science, and I even wanted to do the medical club back in the day, but that’d didn’t really work out, and like basically science can do sooo much good for people, which is why I want to be the leader of the science club… I also want to be a doctor, and I think leading the science club will help me progress towards that goal since doctors do science stuff all the time! Science can really just improve the world soooo much, which is exactly why I believe that my club will be a fun and interesting one! OKAY.. that’s like my motivation and stuff I hope it’s good enough!!
Why choose you over other candidates applying for this position? (50+ words)
Oh.. umm.. I don’t really like this question, so like I won’t talk badly about anyone else in this since I love everyone! I’m sure there are plenty of AMAZING candidates for this position that deserve it so much.. Anyway.. Onto good things about me!
˚⟡˖ ࣪ Reason #1: I'm kind! ˚⟡˖ ࣪
I’m super kind! I really just want the best for people, and I think that’ll make me be a great club leader since I believe people function best in a kind environment.. After all, you aren’t going to get better if you keep getting yelled at! Not that anyone would ever do that, I hope.. ANYWAY! Yeah, I’m super kind, and I hope that I can make the school a WONDERFUL place!
˚⟡˖ ࣪ Reason #2 Club Experience ˚⟡˖ ࣪
EXPERIENCE!! Umm.. sorry for shouting.. But I’ve been in like 4 clubs during my time in the school! I know other people have probably been in more, but I feel like I should still talk about my experience.. I was part of the gardening club for a while, and during that, I was like a pretty active member, I think, despite all the bad things they did… umm.. You can ask anyone in that club during my time, and I think they would say I’m pretty good!! Anddd.. Also, there’s the photography club, which I am still part of! I’m kind of like an adept in it too, so I’m pretty good.. Ummm.. not that others aren’t! But it means that clubs trust me! There’s also theee astrology club, which I’m still a member of, and I’ve been consistent with my quota in it since I joined! I’m also part of their application teaaamm so I know how applications work! Oh, and I was also in the media club for like.. A day before I left. That’s not important though!! Anyway, this’ll make me a good candidate since it means I know how to lead a club, since I’ve witnessed TONS of different leaderships!
˚⟡˖ ࣪ Reason #3: General Experience ˚⟡˖ ࣪
OKAY.. I promise I’m almost done making myself sound good!! But outside of clubs, I’m also part of a couple of other things that make me a good member of society, which means I’ll also be a good club leader! I was part of the swim teammm for a while, which means I know how to interact with people..! And there are also SIX stores that I work for outside of the school.. Three of which I’m a manager for and help out with at least one thing for the owner of those stores! I’m the stock manager for Daisuki, which doesn’t really apply to clubs, but it still means I know how to be organized! Then I’m the stock manager and also the security manager of Seikatsu! And finally,, tsuki no umi, where I help out the owner whenever they need help hosting an event! Soooo.. Basically, I know how to lead things!
What will your club-lead character look like?
Art of Ritsu just for fun!

What will the club roles be?
Leader of scientists (Club leader)
Leads the club in the school and makes sure everything goes completely according to plan!
⤷ (1/1 spots) - Doesn’t count towards the member count
Chief of Scientists (Co-Lead)
Co-Leads the club. They’ll make sure the club leader doesn’t have a panic attack.
⤷ (1/1 spots)
Head of Scientists (Higher-up)
Leaders of each team. They’ll make sure their team doesn’t get completely out of control
⤷ (3/3 spots)
Lab Manager (Council Supervisor)
In charge of making sure the club isn’t breaking school rules! Lab experiments will not be allowed without the manager around!
⤷ (1/1 spots) - Doesn’t count towards the member count
Scientists (Member)
The team members and official club members! They will help the club thrive through their continued activity! Hopefully.
⤷ (3/15 spots)
Trainee Scientist (Trial member)
Our new recruits! They’ll have to do a couple of things before becoming official members!!
⤷ (0/x spots) - Limit depends on how many open spots we have!
Will your club have any extra roles, and how will they work?
The club will have a couple of ‘roles’; however, these will not be assigned to anyone and will instead be jobs club members can take on as they see fit, with no limit!
Creative Role
“Hey, can you guys keep track of what’s going on at the meeting?”
The planners of the club! They make sure that the club can be as creative as possible! Of course, the club leader will plan a lot of things so they aren’t completely useless, but they need a group to help with their second-guessing!! Anything related to design or meeting plans will be primarily done by the creative team. They’ll also be helping out with the monthly scrapbook of everything that happens with the science club!
Application Role
“Without members, it’s just a hobby, not a group.”
which is exactly why the application role will be around to help the club leader steal (crossout) recruit new members! They’ll be helping with interviews and making sure everything runs smoothly as new members join!
Safety Role
“Guys, what if we stick our hands in this hydrochloric acid!!” “NO!”
The safety role will be for people who will make sure the club doesn’t completely fall apart, since science can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! At least one member of the safety team will be required for any lab-related meeting to make sure the science club members don’t get hurt, so we also don’t get sued.
How will you get out of your trial period?
My experience in clubs so far having been in 4-5 different clubs during my time on SRP. Both as a supervisor and as a regular member, I have realized that the trial period is simple for most clubs! And while I’d like to keep it simple for people new to clubs, I also believe that science can be pretty complicated to follow at times. I mean, even I struggle to keep up with some sciences, and I’ve done quite a lot of them during my time. Which is why the trial period will consist of two different things I’ll expect people to do.
Number 1: Meet quota for two months!
People have lives, and I’m more than aware of that! I’ve met people on SRP who can barely get the time to log on more than once a week due to things happening outside of SRP. However, the quota will be my first focus and made simple for those who are busy. Which means people will be able to easily get this first step done. Especially since the second thing will get them a month's worth of quota
Number 2: Create a presentation
While some clubs require a member to host a meeting to pass their trial period, the science club would benefit from more than just that. Which will be trial member presentations! Each trial member will be tasked with creating a presentation about any science-based topic! This presentation can be anything, and each trial member will have their own scheduled time to do the presentation for a club meeting! This presentation can be on literally anything as long as it relates to science in some way.
What will your club's quota system look like?
Small Tasks
Assist the club leader - 1 QP
The club leader can’t do everything alone! However, this task is mostly for people struggling with quota. If you help the club leader with anything related to the club or outside the club, you can log it as 1 quota point with the leader's approval!
Science Assignment - 1 QP
Every now and then, the club leader will post something they’d like the club members to test, and upon completion, they can log it for the quota!
Cleaning the Club Room - 1 QP
Sometimes science can be a bit messy, and cleaning is lame!! Which is why, if a club member volunteers to clean the club room after a lab experiment, they can log it as one quota!
Identify a Hazard - 1 QP
Do you see something dangerous in one of the planned meetings? Then let the club lead know IC before the meeting, and you can log a quota for identifying a danger.
Recruitment - 1 QP
Noticing a lack of people during an interview opening? Well, if you go around the school and bring someone up to the club room to
interview. WITH THEIR CONSENT, then you can log this for quota! Max of 1 per interview wave.
Medium Tasks
Flash Events - 2 QP
The science club will be hosting plenty of flash events throughout my time as leader, and members who help out can log it as two quota points as if it were a club meeting!
Club Meetings - 2 QP
Club meetings are a key part of the club since it’s literally in the name! Attending one of these meetings counts toward members' quotas. You can not log this if you hosted the club meeting, since there will be a different quota reward for that!
Experiments - 2 QP
What is science without experiments? Well, it wouldn’t be science then, since stuff has to be found out somehow! The club leader will be running a couple of experiments upon acceptance, and members can do one for the quota if they conduct it!
Safety Review - 2 QP
There will be procedures for each experiment, and any member of this team who reviews its safety will be able to log it for quota.
Safety Procedures - 2 QP
Did someone post an experiment without any sort of safety procedures? Well, guess what! If you work with that member to add safety procedures to the lab, then you can log this for quota!
Interviews - 2 QP
During an interview, any member will also be able to interview anyone who would like to try to join the club! Any member who completes this can log it for quota.
MAX OF 1 LOG PER INTERVIEW WAVE.
Review research projects - 2 QP
Since trial members will be required to make a research project for the club, all of the people who are free to review it will be able to log this for quota!
NOT AVAILABLE TO TRIAL MEMBERS
Meeting Log - 2 QP
Since for most meetings it’s important that members know what happened during them for future safety audits and to avoid general confusion, since one of these meetings may be referenced in a later one, 1-2 people may write a log about what happened during the meeting in exchange for quota.
Large Tasks
Creating a Club Experiment - 3 QP
Want to make your own club experiment for members to perform? Well, you can! Of course, this will need approval from the club leader to make sure it’s safe for school. You can plan a club experiment, but you can’t log quota for performing your own club experiment.
Host a meeting - 3 QP
Have a great idea that you want the school or the club to see? Well, without the club leader's approval, any member can host a meeting! This can be about literally anything as long as it’s science-related!! And approved by the safety team if it involves the lab. If you host the club meeting, you can’t also log attending a club meeting for it.
Advertisement Posters - 3 QP
Feeling creative? Well, any member who makes an advertisement banner with a member of the creative team will be able to log it for 3 quota.
ONLY 1 PER WAVE!
Assist with planning - 3 QP
Did you help with planning a meeting? Well, you can log quota for it since it’s encouraged to help your fellow science club members!
Banner Creation - 3 QP
The club will need banners for ALL kinds of things! From application banners and event banners when we are hosting one, to general announcements about the club! Either way, members who help with making a banner can log this!
Server-wide event - 4 QP
Since the club will be required to host at least one school-wide event per year, attending members of the event will be able to log this for quota since it’ll usually be something pretty big!
Projects
Research Project - 6 QP
Since each month, a couple of members will be dedicated to this task, it will be enough to immediately reach the full quota. Members who complete a research project for their promotion will be able to log this for 6 points.
Safety Audits - 6 QP
Hopefully, a couple of months into the club's existence, we will have plenty of experiments to perform. However, people mess up and make mistakes, which is why Safety Audits will be available for 6 select members to work on during the course of a month, where they will review the safety of EVERYTHING in the club! Including the room, each experiment, and all of the previous meetings. By the end of the month, the people working on this task will be required to submit a report to the club leader regarding any issues affecting the club's safety!
Scrapbooking - 6 QP
One of three monthly projects our members will be assigned to. 6 members will each work on a separate part of the scrapbook! These will not happen every month to prevent member burnout, but will happen around the same time as the research projects and the Safety Audits
How will the major projects of the club work?
Since I want this club to have everyone doing something at some point, there will be bi-monthly assignments given out to evenly divide up the work of each member so they can do something! These 3 things will be research projects, safety audits, and scrapbooks. How do they work, you may be asking? Well, let me explain!
Research Projects
The first of the three bi-monthly assignments given out to members. These will likely be the first things a member is introduced to, since not only are they assigned tri-monthly, but every member will have to complete at least one of them to pass their trial period! While I’m aware I’ve briefly mentioned these during previous questions, I’ll now go into more depth on how they really work. Research Projects will be the main way that members convey their understanding of science. I want members to feel like they are really doing science when they are in this club, and what is science without researching your topic? Well, research projects will allow for just that, since members will be assigned a partner to work with on their projects. So that club members can get to know each other better. There will be only 3 teams of 2 during this period, so not all members will be working on a research project at the same time! They will spend the first month doing all the necessary research on their topics so that they understand their topic. The second month will then be spent conducting any required experiments, all done IC, while also working on a physical presentation that they will be screensharing in a VC while still talking on SRP to keep it entirely IC. For roleplay purposes, everyone in the VC will be muted and only talking on SRP, so it’s still a real presentation. The third month will be dedicated to giving members who worked on these projects a break to focus on resting before the next wave of assignments!
The only exception to how these research projects work are for trial members. They will be working alone so that we ensure an equal amount of work is done by each of our trial members!
Safety Audits
The second project that will be handed out tri-monthly to the members is Safety Audits. These audits will involve 6 selected members. They will be split into 2 teams of 3, with one working the first month and the other working the second. The first team will conduct an audit on every single danger they see and send it to me, along with putting in a dedicated channel for the second team to check once they begin their inspections. To keep this from getting stale, since this will be a two-month-long project, I will keep changing a couple of things to make them more dangerous in the club room for the teams to have fun searching for, alongside making sure there aren’t any actual dangers! After all, new dangers could appear at any minute, and it’s best to be ready at all times. Even during meetings hosted by the club leader! Once the first month is over, the second group will begin by doing their own audit of the entire club during the month, while also looking into the dangers mentioned by the first group. A higher-up will be in charge of the second group since any mistakes they might miss could lead to possible injuries! Once it’s reached the last week of the second month, both teams will come together and have their own meeting dedicated to talking with the members about the dangers they have noticed in all of the aspects of the club. Safety is the number one priority of the club, and that’s why these safety audits will be taken EXTREMELY seriously. Especially by the club leader, Ritsu Shinozaki!
Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking! A cute little thing that will be the final of the three projects our members will be doing tri-monthly. This will be for the creative members of our club! These will be split up into 2 groups of 3. Similarly to the Safety Audits, the first group will start first so that the second group has time to prepare. The first group will be taking photos of all events, which means this group will have the club leader working alongside it in case three out of the three members can not make it. Once the second month has started, the second group will start working on making a scrapbook of all the pictures taken by the first group. Any important events that happen during the second month will have pictures taken of them as well, and the first group will help out by making scrapbook pages of the second month activities, so they aren’t bored during the second month. This will be posted in a club bulletin and publicly announced to show how hard the scrapbookers worked on it!
With all three projects combined, this adds up to 18 members each working on a project for 2 months every 3 months. The 2 open spaces are for if we have any members who are on inactivity or just not enough members in the club. If we have all 20 people, they will be put into a team that needs more people the most. The amount of time these will be given each year depends on how the 2-3 method works out and might be revised as time goes on. This is just the current plan.
How will people join the club?
Joining the club will be relatively simple since I want to encourage ANYONE to join the club! Science isn’t something that people should be left out of; it’s one of the most important parts of life, since life is literally science. Anyway! Interviews will ALWAYS be open as long as we have open spots. Want to join the club, but you don’t know when the interviews are? Well, guess what! You can DM the club leader to set up a PERSONAL time that works for you to be interviewed! There will also be a role for people who are not in the club, which will allow them to know when a public meeting will be hosted! This will be tracked so that we can find a good suit for an open spot!
Will your club have any uniforms?
The club will have uniforms!! Yay!! There will only be one at the time of being accepted (Hopefully), which will be a lab coat! The perfect way to show everyone that you do, in fact, know science.
A picture slowly loaded showing a picture of the lab coat. (Uniforms will be added upon acceptance but they weren’t loading so I had to cut them out of the application)
Will your club have any customs?
YES!! Of course, the club will have customs! These will be purchased as I get money outside of SRP. If these already exist on SRP thennnn.. I’ll buy a copy off whoever owns it. That’s basically the same thing, right?
Custom #1: Lab Glassware - Furniture
The most important part of science. At least for some science-related subjects. Anyway, the glassware will be all the basic glass stuff you see in a lab!
Due to limited image space, you’ll just have to see what this looks like when I’m accepted!
Custom #2: Safety Goggles - Accessory
Safety is the number one priority. And safety goggles are the most important thing to make sure we don’t get in trouble for accidentally getting chemicals in a kid's eye!
Due to limited image space, you’ll just have to see what this looks like when I’m accepted!
Custom #3: Spill signs - Furniture
WATCH OUT!!! There’s a spill!! The spill signs will be used to mark when there is a spill in the lab so that nobody trips on it, and therefore, we keep safety as the most important part of the lab.
Due to limited image space, you’ll just have to see what this looks like when I’m accepted!
How will you lead this club?
It’s time to get a little bit serious since, surprisingly, you do need to have some sort of leadership style in order to lead a club, since you’ll be bossing around a max of 20 people while also having to work with the other clubs to make sure your members enjoy their time! Now I won’t go ahead and say I’m the most social person ever since that’d be an entire lie, but I do believe that if I’m given this chance to lead, I’ll be able to prove myself to be a great club leader. I want this club to be something that everyone feels like they have an equal say in. While some people may say something like “You probably shouldn’t have anxiety when you are leading a club,” but really, that’s just an ADVANTAGE! My anxiety will instead just allow me to work with all the members since I believe you aren’t doing it right if your members don’t agree, which is exactly why I will ALWAYS make sure my members are happy with a change before it gets made, which should make my members happy! I seriously believe that if I’m given this chance, I’ll make a memorable club that people will actually enjoy being in!
Event Section
Provide one school-wide event that your club may host
I have two ideas for a school-wide event I will host. Both of these will be hosted if I last two years as a club leader! Either way, I believe each of these deserves an equal chance to happen during my time.
Provide one school-wide event that your club may host

Overview
The Experiment Showcase will be the science club's first yearly event that will be hosted only once during the entire year. Several teams will be presenting experiments that they had made before the event! Once each team has presented its experiment, a vote will be conducted to see what each person at the event thinks. Once the votes are over, the two winning teams will be rewarded with a cash prize decided by the club leader!
How teams will work
To keep this event inclusive of everyone, there will be a public application opened up in the Discord server! Since this event will be announced 2 months before it’s hosted, the applications will be reviewed a month before the event. At the same time this is going on, club members will each be choosing someone to work with for their OWN experiments! They will have an extra month to work on their experiment since they will be allowed to pick their teams immediately. To keep things fair, since it’s likely the club members will have a better idea of what their experiment will be about, this means that there will be two separate competitions. One between the club members and one between the public! This means TWO winners will be chosen at the end of the event. However, just for fun, at the end of the event, the best experiment between the two will be voted on. Whoever wins that vote will not be given a second reward! There will be a max of 10 teams for each side to prevent things from going on for too long.

Overview
A chance for everyone to show off their many talents! This event will include any possible clubs that want to help out, since talent is EVERYTHING! This event will have plenty of activities that people can take part in to showcase their talents! The following events will be included by the science club. Any extras will be up to the other club leaders to decide once I host this event!
Perform an experiment
The first of the two things I intend to include from the science club. More may be added as I think of more, since I believe I’ll have plenty of time to plan this event once accepted! Performing an experiment will be a fun task where members of the science club will vote for their 3 favorite experiments, and these experiments will be able to be performed by everyone who comes to the booth during the event! This booth will be closed approximately 10 minutes before the final attraction of the event!
Talent Showcase
The grand finale to the event! Two months before the actual date of the event, applications will be open to the public for 30 people to apply with their talents! This will be reviewed by the science club higher-ups and the lead. Teams will be allowed for the Talent Show, but can only make up half the total number of people to encourage PLENTY of people to get a chance to showcase their talents! To keep things from going on too long, talents will be given a 5-minute limit, and by the end, two votes will be conducted by everyone attending the event to decide what the best group talent was and what the best solo talent was! The winners will receive a total of 1 million yen, with 500k being given out to the solo team and 500k being given to the winning group team to be split between them all.
Provide one flash event that your club may host
Science Debate
Overview
"Calling allll students! The science club will be hosting 3 debates in their club room on current developments in the science community! Come on by!” - An intercom that will be sent the day of the flash event. The science club members will be voting on 3 developments they’d like to have a debate about, and then we will be inviting all students to come and join in on the event! These topics will be kept SRP-friendly and won’t be too serious. These can be based on real-world changes in SRP! We might even bring in a couple of other clubs to have debates on their own topics with the students!
Provide one club activity that your club might host
Fashion Club x Science Club: Hair-dye creation!
Overview:
This meeting will have two parts to it! First, with the science club members by themselves. During this process, the fashion club lead and science club lead will be instructing the members on how to make hair dye! Each club member will make a different color dye, which is up to them. Alongside that, the club leader will be making something that will make one of the people go temporarily bald. Only a part of their hair so that it’ll still grow back. We aren’t monsters! Then, in the second part of the event, all members who wish to participate will be sitting in the fashion club one and applying the hair dye one at a time! Hopefully, we will have enough people for each person to get to try a hair dye! For the finale of this event, one of the people will end up with the bald dye, which means they’ll end up temporarily bald! If nobody from either club agrees to have their character go temporarily bald, it will likely end up happening to both the fashion club lead and the science club lead!
