Describe your activity on the server:

I log on almost every day. Weekdays are usually evenings into late night because of real life responsibilities, weekends are much more open. When I am online I stay for hours at a time and actually look for roleplay instead of idling or hovering around hotspots waiting for something to happen. I actively seek out scenes, especially crime related ones. If something major is happening I make time for it. Consistency matters to me and I try to be someone people can rely on to be around.

What are your motivations in applying for the black market dealer role? What helps you stand out from other applicants and what can you uniquely provide? What previous experience do you have in working with a team?:

Crime roleplay is what keeps me invested in the server long term. Civilian roleplay is fine, but it is crime where storylines actually develop into something lasting. The black market sits at the center of that structure. It connects gangs, independents, and larger story arcs through supply, demand, and interaction. Being part of that system is what I want to contribute to.

A large part of my motivation also comes from being encouraged by someone who previously held the role. They saw how involved I already was in crime RP and suggested I apply. That pushed me to take it seriously instead of just considering it.

On my main account ibuprofenRP, I currently hold a higher position in the gang Reges Inferni. That experience has given me a strong understanding of coordination, communication, and responsibility within a group. I am used to organizing people, maintaining structure, and adapting to different personalities in order to keep things functioning smoothly. If accepted, I understand I would step down in rank within the gang to comply with faction rules.

What separates me from others is consistency and tone control. I do not rush scenes or force outcomes. I prefer roleplay that feels natural and continuous rather than forced or isolated. I focus on making interactions feel like they matter beyond a single moment.

I am also highly detail oriented. I keep track of ongoing interactions, follow through on storylines, and try to build continuity between encounters instead of letting things reset after each scene.

What suggestions do you have to help better the crime faction?

One thing I have noticed over time is how small map changes can quietly affect roleplay hotspots. The powerplant is a good example. The adjustments were minor, but they still changed how players naturally gather around the area. There used to be a security checkpoint style entrance at the front, and that space unintentionally became a social hub for criminals and gangs. After school hours especially, people would pass by, hang around, start conversations, size each other up, and sometimes cause trouble. It created spontaneous roleplay without anyone needing to plan it.

Since that entrance was replaced with a wall, that gathering point just disappeared. Of course, people still go to the powerplant, but they don't really stick around in the same way. Coming back to SRP after losing my first MC account, the first spot I revisited was powerplant, expecting it to be full of people. To my shock, it was very, very dead. Little to no people even walk by the spot anymore. I think bringing back a space like that would benefit the crime faction a lot. Not necessarily reverting the map exactly, but reintroducing a public facing hotspot where criminals feel comfortable gathering, watching each other, and starting roleplay organically. Having a consistent place where the same community can regularly run into each other helps create ongoing rivalries, alliances, and the such without there needing to be events pre-planned to initiate these disputes which I've seen a lot of happening recently.

Mild insomnia; occasional migraines -
Without a father figure in the picture, Cyres grew up in a household where emotional support was inconsistent or stretched thin. She was grown prone to always anticipating problems, always listening, even when nothing was wrong. Over time, it didn't stop with it eventually bleeding into her sleep.

As the older child in her family, she was chronically stressed. Whether it is about her younger brother, Mateo, or finding out what exactly happened to her father. They flare pretty frequently when she's overwhelmed or overstimulated.

Known Family Members: (If inapplicable, put N/A)

Marisol Casillas, Mateo Casillas
Describe your character's appearance to the greatest detail:

Cyres Kovalenko is an 18-year-old Eastern European and Latina mixed female, standing around 5’5” with a lean, slightly underweight build. She has tan skin with a tired undertone that becomes more noticeable under her eyes due to mild insomnia. Her face often carries faint signs of exhaustion, especially when she has not slept properly for a while.

She has long dark brown hair that falls naturally past her shoulders. It is usually worn down and slightly messy, not really styled, just left how it is. Strands often fall into her face and she brushes them away without thinking. Her eyes are muted hazel-brown, sharp and observant, always moving before they settle. She does not hold eye contact for long and tends to watch people from the side rather than directly.

Cyres dresses in formal clothing. Suits, dress shirts, dress pants, skirts, and dress shoes. Everything she wears is muted in tone, usually dark or neutral colors. Nothing about her clothing stands out intentionally. Her posture is slightly closed off, shoulders forward, movements controlled but minimal.

Describe your character's personality to the greatest detail:

Cyres is quiet, observant, and emotionally controlled. She does not talk much unless she has to, and when she does, her voice is soft and steady. She thinks before she speaks and rarely repeats herself.

She deals with mild insomnia because her mind does not shut off easily at night. She overthinks almost everything, replaying conversations and situations in her head long after they happen. This is also part of why she gets occasional migraines, especially when she is stressed or holding too much in for too long.

She is independent, not because she wants to be, but because she grew up learning that relying on people is not always reliable. Because of that, she tends to handle things on her own even when she probably should not. She keeps most emotions inside and does not express them openly.

Even so, she is not cold. When she cares about someone, it shows in actions rather than words. She remembers small details, shows up when it matters, and helps without making a big deal out of it. Trust is rare for her, but when it is there, she is consistent and dependable.

Describe your character's backstory to the greatest detail: (200+ words minimum)

Cyres Kovalenko didn’t really grow up with her father around. Not in some dramatic, movie kind of way. He just wasn’t there most of the time. He’d show up randomly, stay a little while like nothing had changed, then disappear again. No explanation. No real consistency you could hold onto.

So it was mostly just her and her mother.

Her mother kept everything running, but it wasn’t warm. More like strict silence. Dishes done, clothes folded, grades checked. That kind of order. Cyres learned pretty early that asking questions didn’t always get you answers, so she stopped expecting them. She just started paying attention instead.

She was a quiet kid. Not shy exactly—just careful. If you stayed out of the way, people usually left you alone. School didn’t stand out in any direction. She went, she came home, that was it.

Home had a routine that never really changed. Eat, school, chores, sleep. Her and her mother didn’t talk much unless it had to do with something practical. Over time, she just stopped reaching for anything more than that. It didn’t feel like something people really got anyway.

Her father’s visits stayed the same for years. Same easy tone, same pretending like there weren’t huge gaps of time in between. But Cyres started noticing things he probably didn’t think anyone would. His stories didn’t always match. Details shifted depending on when he told them. Sometimes he’d avoid questions so casually it almost felt automatic.

So she started remembering everything.

Not on purpose, at first. It just became a habit. Small things people normally let go of. Words. Timing. The way someone pauses before answering.

By high school, she wasn’t really close to anyone. She could talk fine, joke when she needed to, all of that. It just didn’t go anywhere deeper. Teachers saw her as responsible. Other students thought she was distant. Both were kind of true.

At some point, she stopped thinking of things as random. Everything started to feel like it had something underneath it. How people change their voice when they’re uncomfortable. What they avoid saying. The way they repeat themselves when they’re trying to cover something.

She never really named it. She just noticed.

Her father stopped being just “inconsistent” and started feeling like someone hiding parts of his life. It wasn’t one big moment where it all clicked. It was just a pile of small things that didn’t sit right together.

She never confronted him. Didn’t see the point. It wouldn’t have changed anything she already knew.

So she kept it to herself and moved on.

That’s how she handled most things anyway—quietly collecting pieces and deciding later what actually mattered.

By the time Karakura came up, it wasn’t some big turning point. Just a place that kept showing up in conversations she wasn’t supposed to be part of. Somewhere people ended up when they were done pretending things made sense.

So she went.

Describe an interaction that your character may have as a black market dealer: (This can be anything — a weapon deal, an event they may be involved in, or maybe an interaction with a gang)

1776714718738.png

The train station was busy and loud. Speakers cutting in and out, people dragging suitcases, footsteps that didn’t match anyone else’s rhythm. Cyres stood near the vending machines like she was waiting for a train that didn’t matter. Hands in her pockets. Eyes not on her phone, just the space in front of her. The message said platform 3. No name. No details. That was normal. A man shows up first. Late 30s maybe. Trying too hard to look like he belongs there. He keeps checking the same direction twice, like it might change if he looks again. Cyres doesn't move towards him right away, she prefers to let the strays come to her. He notices her and hesitantly walking over with his eyes glancing off into many directions.

"You Sailor?" he asks.

She doesn't answer the question. Only looking at him for a few seconds.
"That depends," she says. "You alone?"
He nods his head rapidly. That's enough for her to know he's lying, but she keeps it quiet.
"H-Here.." he says, reaching into his jacket and pulling out a piece of folded paper. Not money. A list. He hands it over without looking at her directly.
She pushed his hand back a slight.
"No," she says. "This isn't happenin' here."
The man swallows hard, almost crumbling the paper in his hand.
"W-... Why not..?" he asks.
"You're nervous. You're early. This public of a location with this many people and you think I wouldn't know if someone's watching us?"
He stops talking.

"If there's one thing I despise more in this world, it's liars." she says.

A train passes behind them as she turns slightly, done with the conversation.
The man opened his mouth like he wanted to argue, but doesn't as he pockets the paper and walks away slowly. Then she pulls out a cigarette, slipping it between her lips. A lighter clicks from her pocket. One spark, and it catches. She takes a slow drag, exhales just to the side, thin smoke fading into the noise of the station.
