What's the title of your suggestion?: Language addition: Tibetan

What's your suggestion?:
The suggestion is exactly what appears in the title of the suggestion.

I've taken the liberty to go ahead and review other suggestions in a similar vein that ask for a language to be added to the rather expansive list, specifically focusing on the ones Kiminouso has ACCEPTED to try and see if there's a pattern in the reasoning the original posters of those suggestions give that sticks out.

It would appear that the most common thing highlighted when people make suggestions of this nature: they speak of the benefit of the inclusion/representation of the language. I also note they go to great lengths to really highlight how the language is not niche, or widely spoken, or whatever.

For example, the suggestion 'Add the Lithuanian Language', reviewed and seemingly accepted by KiminoUso on Jun 16 2026 ('we'll add this') cited the fact Lithuanian was not only widely spoken but also the official language of an entire country spoken by over 3 million people.

SO, if that seems to be the pattern or standard (i.e., relevant criteria in accepting suggestions of this kind), then I will address all that in my response to the next question for those reviewing this suggestion to examine.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Tibetan is a language spoken by millions of people with estimates vary depending on whether individual Tibetan varieties are counted separately, but 'approximately 6 million' is the figure you'll see most often if you go looking: with speakers of the language (and individual Tibetan varieties) primarily concentrated across Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, and Yunnan, with Tibetan being their principal language.

It also isn't simply a religious or historical language. Tibetan is used in education, government, courts, publishing, broadcasting, and everyday life in Tibetan-majority regions. In the Tibet Autonomous Region specifically, Tibetan and Chinese are both used officially, with Tibetan given precedence in the region's language regulations.

As for why it makes sense in Karakura:
Karakura is a fictional prefecture, with characters from a wide-variety of national and cultural backgrounds.
The nationalities of citizens within the prefecture, as far as contemporary IC sources indicate, can vary considerably! (https://schoolrp.net/threads/karakura-news-where-do-karakura-citizens-hail-from.91582/#post-312406)
Therefore...
The addition of Tibetan to the existing list of languages available for character authorization through /lang would not be out of place.

I note, however, that spoken Tibetan is divided into several major branches, including Central Tibetan (Lhasa), Khams, and Amdo, which can differ significantly enough that speakers may not understand one another in casual conversation. For the purposes of this suggestion, all of these varieties would be encompassed under a single language rather than receiving individual entries; i.e., what appears in chat would simply be “Tibetan” rather than distinguishing between the different varieties. This is not unprecedented. Other languages on the larger SRP list likewise encompass multiple regional dialects or varieties under a single term (e.g. Thai and Chinese).
