Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on SRP is fairly consistent and stable, spending the majority of my time either actively roleplaying or tabbed out playing other games. Being practically unemployed and not in school allows me to get on whenever I please; also, being the current cooking club lead means I have a responsibility to be active and maintain that activity, whether hosting things within my club and/or planning events server-wide or school-wide. I joined SRP back in 2018, before taking a long break and coming back at the start of 2025, allowing me to meet my current community of friends and fortunately giving me many opportunities on the server, such as: Reporter, High school Female Football Captain, Spartan Cheerleader, and Event-team, all those roles forcing and causing me to be extremely active.
Another thing I'd like to address is the time zone difference. Due to me living in Australia, it may seem difficult for me to attend events, training, and so on, but I can assure you that it will not be an issue. My sleep schedule is set to American time, waking up around morning American time and going to bed at night for Americans as well.
Here is my current playtime on my main and my alt account;

What is your motivation for applying?:
I've always been eager to 'expand my horizons' within factions, trying to escape JockRP and try out a different kind of roleplay, one filled with a different community and people. During my time in the Reporter faction, I had a blast, interacting and getting to know new people and forming more connections; it also helped open doors to different kinds of roleplays that I hadn't had the chance to partake in. A few waves ago, I did apply but was sadly denied, though my curiosity and interest didn't falter; if anything, it grew. Another reason for my motivation for applying is that I do have a few friends amongst the faction, often raving about how they adore KPD, which in response has made me eager to apply.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Though my knowledge may be lacking, I do know a few bits and know their importance. I know and understand the laws and have read the official documents given to help people's understanding. I also do know a few other things through word of mouth and the Karakura Emergency Discord server.
RANKS:
There are two divisions within the faction, those being: Main Division and Detective Division.
RANKINGS - Highest to lowest.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Even though SchoolRP is clearly a school roleplay server, that doesn't mean there aren't other paths for people to allow their character to go down, ie; GangRP, JockRP, and more. With newer players often being drawn to GangRP, therefore causing a lot of crime and violence within Karakura, which.. comes in KPD. Without KPD, GangRPers would more often than not run around causing all sorts of havoc upon the town. There clearly has to be a 'rival', a faction to help keep GangRPers from acting on their perms in broad daylight, in the middle of the streets - A faction that sows the consequences if GangRPers aren't smart and careful with their behaviour. To put it plainly, KPD adds a layer of fear and a sense of gambling to GangRP. Without KPD, there is no balance. KPD also adds more towards certain events: a building collapses? KPD is there, removing the rubble to free citizens and so on.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I completely understand this and am aware!

What's your character's full name?:
"Célina Marić, pleasure to meet you."
How old is your character (if accepted)?:
"Twenty-seven! My birthday is actually quite soon."
What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
"I'm female, so of course she/her."
Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD):
"Sadly, I've only graduated from high school and never went to college due to medical issues that happened around that time."
What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
"Since I was born and raised in Serbia, I'm fluent in Serbian and Japanese, and I can also roughly read Mandarin." (Need to apply for Serbian.)
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?:
She was the picture of effortless perfection. The twin everyone admired, whereas her younger sister was the black swan, mysterious and turbulent. The eldest, Célina, had waves of blonde framing her softened facial features; her eyes were a shade of sky blue, accompanied by light, thick blonde lashes. Her skin was tanned and flawless - with no moles, freckles, or markings. Unlike her sisters, that was marked with piercings and heavy makeup. Her soft colours, perfectly ******* appearance, along with a quiet, refined persona, were a stark difference to her twin's darker, /edgier/ appearance. However, beneath her mask, you could see someone drowning with the insane amount of pressure stacked upon her, expectations she had to fill.
Something else that might catch your eye is a necklace of two swans entangled together, one a white swan and the other a black swan - a telltale to her sister and her. Also, another piece of jewelry that may catch your eye, peeping out from under her sleeves: a gold medical bracelet with the words 'Chronic migraines with aura.' etched into it. A hint at the life the swan lived behind that perfectly molded facade. A reminder, a precaution towards the attacks that more often left her disoriented or in an intense amount of pain.

[!] A framed portrait of the Marić sisters. [!]
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?:
The swan, in professional situations and in workspaces, is quite reserved. Barely ever speaking unless addressed. Always carrying herself with her chin held high, no matter if her head was sending burning, painful signals down her body. Though she may seem aloof, the lady is actually surprisingly sweet, even if she doesn't engage much in conversation or show your emotions, or even share her thoughts. . . But, hey! She's actually very kind if she allows her walls down around you.
Out in public, away from any formal setting, if you can even find her ten feet outside her apartment, you may encounter someone who looks like her, but isn't that same aloof girl. Someone without her polished persona, the walls cracked, and her mask slipped completely off, her smile finally reaching her eyes. Even if this homebody preferred her quiet, quaint apartment over.. literally anything else, you still might catch her around town, but only always with a man known by Jae-Won - with him, everything was utterly different, always giddy and giggly, her aloof self out of its shell. It seemed the girl was #healing.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?:
Even if this swan preferred working alone, she didn't mind company. Teamwork and working in a group help her come out of her shell; it strengthens and helps the workspace transform into a lively place- that's what Célina believes. Plus, she'd much rather a talkative workspace than a quiet one if it means she can stand on the side, listening rather than being forced to talk.
"Though, I did work as a Reporter prior. . . There wasn't much interaction between co-workers; it was more so about work and interviewing people on a story." The swan's lips pursed, possibly remembering back on her prior experience. "Sorry, I don't really know much about /team settings/." Her shoulders rose slightly, before dropping down into a shrug. "But, my opinion on teamwork? Well, as long as they will allow me to listen and not force my deepest, darkest secrets out of me, then by all means, sure. But no, on a serious note.. I do believe teamwork is an amazing thing, getting a group of minds to conjure up ideas and work together to.. for example, take down criminals is great. I've always believed a team of people working together is better than one lone person doing all the work."
What's your character's backstory?:
I. | Feathers of Ivory and Obsidian
[0-10]
Somewhere in Belgrade, Serbia, on a quiet morning, sat an estate - away from the bustling cities. Two twin daughters were born, both bearing the Marić name, arriving only minutes apart, yet the girls were deemed very different from each other. The older twin, Célina Marić, possessed features just like their mother's, light blonde strands complemented by gentle, vibrant blue eyes. Whilst the other twin carried the darker features similar to their father's. One represented a white swan, graceful and dignified, and the other the family's ugly duckling.
As the eldest daughter of the Marić family, expectations fell on her shoulders. Her parents set those high expectations, trying to nurture her into perfection, molding her into the perfect, kindhearted daughter. Every mistake met with disappointment - a far heavier punishment for a child to bear. As she aged, mistakes stopped happening; it seemed she perfected the act of darling daughter. Her day-to-day life quickly turned into a mindless routine.
By ten, Célina felt the overwhelming sense of pressure mounting on her. Many things were self-taught by her during those mere ten years of living: 1; compliments were easiest to give when she was obedient and silent; 2; composure was a must always; no one likes a child that lashes out. 3, adults admired well-behaved children, ones who never cause a fuss or an issue. Célina forced herself into that act, which soon led to her believing that the love she was getting was something she had earned, and not given unconditionally.
One sister was drowning in pressure, whereas the other was abandoned in the older twin's shadow, always compared. Even though the two were twins, their own blood insisted on marking them as rivals, opposites. One was showered in pressure, and the other led astray, rebelling against their parents. Once the sisters reached adolescence, the burden of pressure took its physical form as headaches in Célina.
II. | Crown of Thorns
[10-18]
They say the prettiest crowns are always the heaviest. Célina wore hers long before she ever knew it even rested atop her head. Adolescence became another stage upon which Célina was expected to perform. School wasn't a social place; no, it was a place for Célina to prove, time and time again, that she deserved the praise she'd been raised on. Every exam demanded perfection, every record card expected above excellence, whereas other students celebrated above-average, Célina chased after impossible standards she had set for herself - studying until dawn peeped from between her curtains, her mind filled with numbers and formulas until it was all she could think about. Praise became both a comfort and a burden to her; every achievement and amazing grade, another thorn woven into her crown. Beautiful to those who saw it, admiring it, but yet agonising for the one forced to wear it.
Quietly, the swan's body began to crumble and rebel from the pressure. At first, nothing but a slight full headache after long hours of studying or school, completely dismissed as fatigue or due to her getting poor sleep some nights. After dismissing the ache, her vision twisted and turned into shimmering lights until pain swept into her temples. Her sentences formed into words. Those fluorescent school lights became her arch nemesis, every sound amplified and sending searing waves of pain through her head. Even if the pain was unbearable, she still /had/ to perform her act of being the perfect girl. Finally, the day came when she graduated, and with honours.
After graduating High School, her attacks got worse. Occasional headaches turning, transforming into horrific episodes that left her bedridden in a darkened room. The future her parents expected from her slowly drifted out of her grasp. Months of hospital visits, neurological tests, and many, many unanswered questions. All of which finally led to a diagnosis: chronic migraines, followed by aura migraines. A severe neurological condition, often having headaches for more than days at a time, most of those days followed by the aura aspect of her diagnosis, meaning vision changes; flashing lights, bright spots in her vision, and/or zigzag lines, other changes such as numbness in her face, arms, or legs along with a pins-and-needles sensation, another symtom is speech troubles, slurring of words or overall having a difficult time finding or even speaking said words. Her world came crashing down, her perfect image shattered, her expectation of going to college and pleasing her parents gone. Everything she had built, every grade, every perfectly manicured appearance went unnoticed compared to her troubling diagnosis. Her once admired crown, now twisted into vines filled with thorns - stabbing at her temples and leaving her body utterly ruined.
III. | Where Winter Meets Spring
[18-26]
With the shackles of expectation released, another burden crawled through her head: her migraines. Healing was slow and celebrated in small victories, learning how to balance her life with this chronic disorder, learning how to live with and alongside them. Célina chased a fresh start, seeking a new beginning. Her sister proposed the idea of travelling to China, and quite simply - Célina followed; with that, the two were off to Hechi, China. Unbeknownst to Célina, this choice was going to alter her life again, this time for the better. Nestled between dark emerald mountains and winding rivers sat their destination; the city offered Célina a quieter, slower rhythm of life - rekindling and rediscovering the simple joys that life has to offer, little things she had long since forgotten. It was whilst she was enjoying one of these simple pleasures - strolling through a park - that she met Jae-Won. Drawn to him, they mustered up a conversation, brief but something about those two flowed together. The man didn't mind her reserved, yet refined personality, nor did he fool her silence for her being uninterested. No, simply didn't care; he could sense the mask and the walls built and was patient with carefully tearing them down. Weeks passed; chance encounters soon became planned walks around the city's edge, or even shared evenings and meals. Shào became the first person who didn't expect perfection from her; instead, he braced every /imperfection/, learning to recognise the tiny subtle hints of a migraine before she even knew. He did little things, like carry sunglasses in his bag for bright sunny days, along with pain relievers close by, on days she couldn't exit her room; he simply nested beside her in silence, a watchful eye.
By the time Malina decided to travel to the /quiet/ island of Karakura, Célina and Jae-Won had built a life together that neither one wished to leave behind. Still, Célina couldn't part from her counterpart, and surprisingly, Jae-Won jumped at the invitation to start anew beside her. Together, the three of them travelled to Karakura. Once there, Célina and Malina found work as reporters, embracing a profession that they weren't the topic of. Jae-Won remained by Célina's side, supporting her through long work days and unpredictable migraines. Their new life was honest and peaceful - until Malina got involved in dangerous activities that forced the twin to leave the island and return home, and just like before, Célina didn't hesitate.
IV. | The Lake She Calls Home
[Present]
Home was never a place with a roof and four walls, no. Célina realised it was the people she surrounded herself with.
After spending some time back home and making sure her sister was well, she finally returned to Karakura, one last journey. Célina had promised Jae-Won that she would return, and she did. Remaining true to her word. Reuniting with Jae-Won and finally settled permanently - no more travelling, no more impulsive siblings to disturb them from building their life together. With a burning desire to help others in ways she once hadn't helped herself, Célina applied to join the Karakura Police Department.
For the first time, Célina finally had built something for herself, finally finding a lake she could call home.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE:
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
"Thankfully, no. A pocket knife is considered an illegal weapon, and if caught with one, they may be charged. Which..." The swan trailed off, blonde tresses spilling as her head tilted ever-so-slightly. ". .Thank the heavens! Some of these people are maniacs, and allowing them to carry around a knife? Preposterous idea." It seems the lady had an imagination, pondering on what would, or could happen if such weaponry became legal.
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription:
"Oh. . Uhh.." The lady adjusted in her seat, hands smoothing the long length of her skirt, ironing any creases. "Wooden canes, cough syrup, melatonin - I know for a fact it is one." Her glossy lips pursed as her mind went into a trance - thinking. "Unbranded Bandage, yes. One more.. Hmm. ." And it was as if a lightbulb had switched on. "Multivitamins! Hah." Was her memory failing her?
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?:
"Firstly, I'd hope none of my co-workers have undiagnosed anger issues to get them into that situation." The swan would tap a manicured finger towards where the body-cam would be placed, before placing her hand back down into her lap. "I'd make sure this bad boy was recording everything, then try to deescalate the situation by trying to remove the officer involved from the inmate or detainee." The lady would pause for a moment, dazed as if she was weighing an option. "If the situation continued and, or got worse, I'd call for a supervisor, then allow them to handle it."
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?:
"Well, of course I don't like to refer straight to force, so I'd give the aggressor verbal commands to stop and separate, but if my commands go unheard, or they refuse to listen. " A pause in her sentence, a gentle huff escaping her mouth. "Then, they leave me no choice but to use whatever tool I have at my disposal to apprehend the person. Once apprehended, I'd radio for backup and see to my co-workers' injuries, tending to them." The elegant lady bopped her head along before continuing; "If the injuries were life-threatening, I'd also try my best to administer first aid, whilst radioing for EMS."
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?:
"That's. . ." The swan seemed speechless at the question asked. "Firstly, I wouldn't confront or do anything to make the individual suspect that I know something I maybe shouldn't." A leg rose, shuffling a top her over leg, palms smoothing the material of her long skirt out. "Secondly, I'd try to get evidence to back my theory, but if I had the evidence to back my claim, I'd bring all my findings to a higher-up and make sure it all was documented to perfection; then it's seemingly out of my hands."
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?:
A soft snicker escaped her glossed lips. A hand flew up to cover her grin. "Oh, please." What was so funny? "I come from money, so offering me MORE money is pathetic. A sad excuse of a person, letting their money talk." Her voice now dropped a few octaves; "Wuss." Before returning to her normal tone. "Anyways, if I was in the midst of making an arrest on said person, that's another easy charge to their record, but if it were some passerby, I'd detain them and hand them the fine for bribery."
