Describe your activity on the server:
I have been more active recently given the sudden boost in family member additions. At least once a day for a few hours with constant engagement and roleplay. I started SRP many years ago (2017), and since then have put myself into every faction possible minus the police department. After so many years of being a professor, I believe it is time for me to finally move on into a much different role.

These would be the times I am most available and typically online. These would all be within Eastern Standard Time (EST) (Winter GMT-5:00, Summer GMT-4:00)

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I have been on the School Roleplay Server since the summer of 2016, and have been involved in numerous factions and former gang factions including my own for a short duration.

School Faction:
For the past 3 and a half years, I have taught numerous topics in the school faction. This ranges from Psychology, History and now Astronomy. Between being a professor, and passing every exam, 12 -> B x2, B -> M x2, and earning the PhD role, I've had ample time to build a decent resume in knowledge if both interaction, and test taking, with my PhD project earning a 99/100. During this time, I have been a QP, along with being in the student council, so time management, supervisory skills and stressful/quick thinking situations molded me into being the longest faction member for now.

Town Hall Faction:
Though this is a much shorter time, I was a lawyer that handled numerous criminal and civil cases with only having lost 1 of them. From this point, I learned plenty about team working, note sharing and the legal system of Karakura, as well as how the school and town hall faction work both independently, and simultaneously. Though this tenure was only around 5 months, the countless interactions with police, civilian and other government workers allowed me to have many more ways to handle situations that I otherwise would not learn in the school or every day roleplay. Events, balls, case working and trials opened up many new variations of roleplaying.

Gang Roleplay:
For years I bounced between different gangs- from the days of River, to Akihito to running my own Mafia, I learned the ins and out of criminal roleplay- in a way much different than the town hall faction. This includes better communication, rule understanding, conflict resolve and arguably most importantly, loyalty and money counting. From the start of my gang roleplay career, to my eventual retirement, I learned how much differently the underworld of Karakura is from everything else, but also allowed me to identify how to communicate between various groups of the main player base.

Family Roleplay:
As far as I know, I founded and still head one of the older running families in karakura: The Sanbuonos. From 2019 until now, this family has been solid in performance across different factions included school, hospital, gang roleplay, and town hall. Each member of the family is dedicated to obeying the School Roleplay rules and regulations as any out of character bans are also dealt with in the discord. The family has brought in many events, parties, gatherings, and even weddings/funerals. The family has a written lore that I personally wrote, as well as good rapport with any that knows about it. We have a structured family with a elder figure (Saint-Vito Sanbuono) that always comes around randomly to meet his kids and grandkids.

What is your motivation for applying?
A change of scenery in faction choice, and I already major in psychology- with a focus in clincal care and addiction counseling. Granted I am not on the medical psychiatric side, I do know the keen difference in how they are structured. I felt this was the opportunity to truly apply all skills I learned while attending college to a roleplay use, rather than let them stay stored up.

After being in the school faction for around 3 and a half years, I felt I made the choice that I would be better applying my skillset to a faction that more aligns with my in person studies and employment. Personally, I believe I am the perfect match for this faction, as I already have real world knowledge of psychiatric and psychological treatments, studies and researches. The school, town hall, family and gang roleplay in my previous years definitely shaped a want to be in a new faction to have new interactions, and last for as long as possible.

One could say with a resume of this length, you can never question my loyalty!

However on a more serious note, I truly use my desire to eventually enter into the psychological/psychiatric as motivation. I see this as a perfect area to introduce myself to another faction, as well as bringing real life skillsets to the table. I love deep and impactful roleplay, as well as any chance to boost my activity.

Which role are you applying for?
Psychiatrist

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

Jobs and Their General Descriptions:
Psychiatrist
: "Anxiety is a normal human trait, Let's try the 5-4-3-2-1 mindfulness method shall we? First, 5 things you can see."
Derived from the medical side of psychology, psychiatrists study the medical ****ysis and treatment for those who seek mental help. There usual role is the data ****ysis of the patient to better treat them through medical necessities such as medication and therapy perscription. Though they are more medical based than a psychologists, they are still able to hold therapy sessions such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, dialetical behavioral and rational emotive behavior therapies. Between cases, they are assessing notes, sharing findings (without disclosure of the patients personal information) and constantly learning/evaluating new methods of proper treatment for each patient.

Doctors/Surgeons: "You have a slight fracture in your collar bone. Don't worry, we can patch that right up for you."
These are your medical students that learned the difference between an ACL and an MCL tear. Their jobs are to have a profound knowledge of medicine, machine use, surgerical skills and diseases depending on their area of expertise. They can, but are not limited to, performing surgeries, perscribing medication, perscribing equiptment (i.e. crutches), explaining details of injuries to patients, working in high stress areas to ensure the best possible care, and managing/training other newly graduated medical personnel into the practice.

Paramedics: "Quiet night huh?" *Call comes in* "Well what the **** did you say that for? UGH.. *Picks up the walkie and speaks:* "Enroute to the location."
Paramedics are part of your first responders team. Similar to police and fire... if Karakura ever gets one of those, they are first to the scene to someone who cannot make it to the hospital on their own means. Though their skills aren't as prominent as your typical surgeon, they are still very capable in stabilizing a patient on the way to the emergency room. They operate the mobile hospital (ambulance!) that carries various medicines, sedatives, and equiptment to speed up the process during hospital intake- such as blood pressure, heart rate, as well as any injury assessment and body graphing.

Positions:
Trainees: "So... how did I do? What more can I work on? Sorry- I just truly admire your expertise".
These are your beginners to the faction. They are often your fresh out of medical school or internship members that are looking to secure a permanent spot on the payroll roster. These are your heavily supervised personnel- they undergo a 2 week training period before graduating to the Resident Position.

Resident Physicians: "I'm just a resident physician.. not really a lot of knowledge to pass down there, grass hopper".
Between Doctors and Psychiatrists, these are your veterans that are still watched, however not as much. This portion of the sequence allows for more solo care and are heavily considered for becoming an attending doctor/psychiatrist.

Attending Physicians: "I remember my time being a trainee. Granted that was years ago now".
The middle child of the group, the attendees are your licensed professionals that know their way around. Any trainings are now behind them as they work with the most diligence to only improve themselves. Out of all the positions, these are the most hands on that are also held to the highest standard.

Supervisors and Clinical Leads: "I believe they were referring to me. You did well, though I would like to remind you of positive reinforcement for self-efficacy".
The Supervisors that watch over every position and ensure there is no slip ups or mistakes leading to mal practice. Though they are not the highest management, the supervisors are often the ones giving the most feed back and guidance towards the trainees, while overseeing the resident and attendees. Any training and teachings are usually conducted by those in this position.

The Director: "Excellent. Everything seems in order, I believe this fiscal quarter we will pass all inspections".
These are your highest of the high in terms of clinicians. Instead of worrying about just the trainings or schedules, they are the ones who specifically take care of the entire hospital faction- ensuring the integrity of all practices, health codes, violations and staff. When in this position, you are looked at as the both the guiding light, and the judge, jury, executioner to those who continuously fall behind on their proper practices. These are the ones you hear the "Best friend, or worst enemy" lines about. The Directors job is just as straight forward as being the CEO of an organization. Everything rests on their shoulders.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Of course. In all honesty, I'll more than likely try to get online either way- opens the door for learning something new, and new roleplay experiences!

Such as the Earth with the pristine beauty that she easily encompasses. Just as the mystery to our future that lay within Mars. Though, a protection from annihilation such as Jupiter does for us as well as the most beautiful ice diamonds that reflect from a ring not even Saturn could copy. Even when things turn sideways as the Uranian poles, only an ocean as blue as Neptune could compare to the depth in which I have fallen for her. Character Backstory (Optional):
Isshiki hails from an unknown village in rural northern Japan. Before he went by the name Isshiki, he was known as Rinnikai Omaningan. From a young age, he and his younger brother lived a very separate life. His younger brother being more sheltered, while Isshiki was training in heavy martial arts. His entire personality being shaped in the image of someone who would be the great fighter of his family. Starting at age 5, he was introduced to a military-like lifestyle: waking up at 5 am, training, studying, fights, and physical/mental tests. The Omaningan was very traditional- electronics were frowned upon, modern music was deemed something satanic and anything outside the shogunate like life style was betrayal to the ancestors.
His Village was consistent of 4 families- The Omaningan, Rinngingan, Tarriningan and Amatarringan. Some were farmers, some were ... with modern times, and the rest believed everything Japan morphed into following the surrender in World War 2 was disrespect. The Omaningan and Amatarringan were both warring families against one another- staging murders, robberies and causing havoc. Isshiki or Rinnikai being the next in line to be the family lead was essentially tasked with holding the burden of being a child warrior, while his brother stayed home and was kept in the dark.
Rinnikai of course would never know his brother lived lavish while he was often in the mountains fending for himself, however, until disease would strike forcing Isshiki to return home. This virus claimed the lives of many, as aid from the Japanese government never arrived. The only rememberence of this pathogen to Isshiki was taking his brother away to a safer place at an older age to escape the fate all the others- and that the name "HQ Virus" was not just in his village or the neighboring families. This led to him running away to America- where he'd be adopted into a family outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was different than everyone else, quieter, reserved, he studied everyone. His brother on the other hand, was not the same. Kamishiki was a lot more outgoing, social, and unfortunately, dealing with a manic disorder.
This made Isshiki think about home, and his parents. Eventually, he and his brother would leave the United States and return home under the guise of being tourists. After returning home, he wanted to learn more about this HQ virus which led him to Karakura- a presumed source. This island city held answers that he wanted to know- and given his adoptive families wealth, obtaining a fake.. then real.. citizenship was not too difficult. However with dead ends at every corner, and the school library being of 0 use, he turned to his brother- the only bit of family that he knows of left and decided to learn more about him. This turned him into a psychology lover. Leaning about disorders, how disease can infect the mind and alter states of conscienceness. He loved everything he read, from the dark side to the light.
While growing up and eventually graduating high school, he returned to the United States after hearing how much more he could learn. Still the more reserved type, he focused and dedicated years of his life to the study of the human mind. Of course, this was not all positive. Isshiki had tabs on everyone he knew, eventually getting into the United States criminal underworld. The amount of lives that were lost in his circle numbed him- though a self hatred for himself grew with every crime committed, the stone faced Isshiki never changed who he was. His brother on the other hand, knew nothing about how his brother became known as "The Ocean". Someone who seemed so peaceful, yet seemed to do things for his own benefit, even if it meant sinking entire ships. Regardless of his criminal behavior, he was putting up near perfect grade point averages in school.
Unfortunately, this would not go unnoticed. His adoptive family would come under seige as the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had learned that the family was connected to profitable illegal trade between the US and Mexico, on top of numerous murders and counterfieting. This is where Rinnikai changes his name to Isshiki, dyes his hair and returns to Japan, where he now resides. Though he is still a criminal at heart, his desire to understand and study people has yet to be unwavered and influenced a new chapter in his life: Guiding those around him to a place much better than he could ever see himself in.

(I wrote his entire life in "The Book of Otsutsuki... but thats about 27 pages that I still havent finished.. this is the sped up version.)

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)

Addiction Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, Military Psychiatry and Psychiatric research.

"In each of these lies commonality. Therapy and understanding the route cause of why. Not why do people act in accordance to random cognition, however, why are people the way they are? What are cultural influences, what are environmental influences? How does the brain look at military experience in terms of psychological evolution? All of these questions are answered in research, however given no two people are completely alike, there is variation that research itself cannot cover. In each setting, any patient or client that walks through that door has a different outlook in life compared to the previorus patient or client. Sonder- the complete understanding that everyone has their own complex thoughts, feelings, experiences and emotions that create variation and difference in every person- drives me into learning any and everything possible in order to further understand the why of human beings. Even in twin siblings, there is always some sort of difference- something studied by Germany in the 1930s to early 1940s. I also see how psychiatric treatment has evolved from chaining someone to the wall as well as other unethical measures, before ultimately becoming more of a hand to hold in dark times.

Though I have no prior military experience, there are plenty of situations I could adapt myself to compared to the average person, and that is given I am no stranger to high stress situations, and moments where grievances would take charge of my cognition. Losing family, friends and plenty of significant others to circumstances that would send the average human spiraling- though I sit here, calm and collected. I believe psychiatric research is to thank for my level head- however... indecisiveness does not give me a clear image as to which field of the 4 I align with most prominently. However if there is a must as to one field of the 4 I have taken to the most, it would definitely be Addiction. Addiction being such a messy topic, as well as having so many caveats and odd standards, that are changed and reworded almost yearly. Especially with the DSM-VII in the works, this portion of how people use substances became a huge fascination. And That is why I chose these areas of focus."

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
In Karakura/IC, No. He has only operated in the medical field in his lore.

"In Karakura? No. I have 0 medical work experience here.

As for abroad, I had the pleasure of working as a resident psychologist at the Central Regional Hospital outside of Raleigh in North Carolina. There I was able to administer proper treatment as well as a supervisor to internship students from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Given I was an alumni... Well I had a lot of earned respect. Many of my pupils now work numerous mental hospitals around the United States and Canada.. Though I am not American. Even when I interned in Tokyo, I was placed immediately into the residency programs, however I have no issue in starting over as a trainee here."

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

Here stands a 6'5 Japanese male with a darker skin complextion. When he speaks, there is a melody to his tone- something you hear from a jazz singer at open bar nights in Louisiana minus the rasp. His eyes a deep vibrant yet natural blue that bring out the white in his dyed yet seemingly natural white hair. His movements are always with care and complete intention as if everything is thought out. His clothing would always scream traditional as he always wore a kimono. As for his hair, though he always kept it in a messy ponytail, his hair length runs all they way down his back.
When he speaks, he is always straight to the point and does not let emotion talk for him- this leads his tone to be more logical, though sometimes it may come off as flirty given his directness will make you question if there is an underlying motive. However, that is not intentional. He speaks with honesty, though he will sugarcoat the situation. Expect to feel studied, as his curiousity can seem interrogational- granted in a psychological setting, he is a lot more comforting. With his ****ytics, hes quick to get to the point.

"I believe interaction between myself and others ends well. Granted I would associate myself with the more pleasent of people, as I have yet to have any issues making acquaintences. Many of my former trainees recommended me to their peers following the completion of their studies under my wing. During the first tenure, I was exposed to many ... characters to say the least- nonetheless I was able to acquire a common ground between them and myself. Whether this was due to my ability to find similar thoughts and beliefs.

With all of you, I see promise and new experiences. We are all different in our own patterns and cognition- from what your preference is towards hand positioning on the chair to what your dream job as a child was. Dearest, there is nothing more that I want than to aid all who walk into that atrium, and to better understand them, so I may even better assist the next client. No two people are alike, however, no single person should feel neglected. Hard work and complete diligence is all I strive for, and that is evident to all who have been in my circle.

How does your character act around the hospital?

Quiet, and Respectful to both the building and the staff/patients within. Does not speak out, wander or waste time, he gets to the point while there as he believes hospitals are too busy to play around in. He is huge on respect and takes into account the situation as well as every single environment he is in.

"Etiquitte and basic respect. Granted I believe that you shake the CEOs hand in the same manner you would the janitor. Those within the hospitals directory deserve respect. Any who have been through the proper schooling to earn the spot in a medical profession sacrificed many nights of partying and good dreams, all in the name to save lives and ensure proper health. Any prior visitations to the hospital I ensured went without incident, or any ill manners on my end. I enter, ask or proceed with whatever is required, and exit after thanking for the given services.

While working in the medical field, I have always been communicative and clean. A plethora of my former colleagues will vouch, I do not allow myself to faulter or give any doubt to my desire to improve the lives of all who entered my office, as well as improve my own capabilities to better inform the future generation. I want all who enter this field to be the best version of themselves so that there is nothing but improvement in this field. The previous barbaric methods of psychiatric care, though are not excuseable, are preventable."

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

Given his upbringing and eventual lean into the field, Isshiki excels in both, and it is quite hard for him to decide either or- though he may lean more toward teamwork.

"Hm. I would argue either or. On my own I am much quicker with reaction and productivity, however with a peer or team, more work can be shared, and completed. I would have to argue it varies based on situation. On one hand, my childhood introduced me to isolationist ideologies and practices, which allowed me to not have worry on if I could succeed on my own or not, however, in every clinical setting I have worked in, I have always connected to my peers and worked as a team just as effecient. In terms of my functionality, I work better off as a team than only solo. In this field, there is no such thing as completely alone work. Every bit of information not relevant to the clients identity is a learning or new experience that a second opinion would work best with. Under supervisory conditions, you are expected to work diligently with the training staff as everything must be within hospital regulation.

To conclude, I would have to argue I function better with a team, though I am more than capable to work of my own accord."
