texture pack will not finish downloading

when ever i try to have the texture pack to download it will stop and have, about, 1/10th left to load but won't move any further. what can i do to stop this and fix the problem? Apologies if I made any inconvenience by posting a new thread. - a little bunny

I'm not sure what version of minecraft you're using but try using 1.13.2 with Optifine and it might fix the problem. And don't worry about making an inconvenient thread, if things don't work out over here feel free to use the "Help" channel on the discord. There you can get help from a staff member. I hope everything works out for ya! If you don't have Optifine yet be careful to download the correct link and try your best to not end up downloading a virus.

It looks as if you're using forge or something, that loading bar is something I've never seen before so I will assume it's a forge, yes for the texture pack you will need Optifine. Since you are using forge it will be slightly different for you. You will be downloading Optifine like a Mod. I think I am not too sure because I've never had forge, but it's for certain that you will need Optifine to run this resource pack because we all need it to work, which I will post a video here that I hope can help you in the spoiler "Helpful Video" just click the spoiler and the two videos will pop up.

Spoiler: How to get Resource pack to work for Regular Minecraft

Hello, I'm Shizai and I will be explaining how to get this resource pack working for you in Minecraft.

All you will need to run the resource pack is Optifine. You can find the correct download link here:

(There are many versions of Optifine, and the server allows you to play 1.8-1.14.4 BUT 1.13.2 Is the absolute best to run the server on as of now and has been compromised of being the best to use. It's really simple to download and install, it boosts your Minecraft performance by a lot more than normal, and allows you to use the school roleplay resource pack! If you have a Mac instead of Windows there will be more steps)

To download all you do is click on the link within the link, you just run it after its finished downloading, and it installs for you in a matter of seconds - You must have used the regular version of 1.13.2 at least once.

Optifine is absolutely necessary to run this resource pack. If you try to run the resource pack on a regular 1.13.2 version without any Optifine installed it will simply not work and can provide tons of errors or it will load up and just be the naked Minecraft texture pack, please text me back on this forum if you have any more questions, Check the spoiler "If that doesn't work" this is about all the help I can give you but I still look forward to a reply here, tell me if these solutions have helped or not.

I have come up with two solutions for your problem in the case that the above does not work. I hope that one of these solutions will inevitably help you. I am almost positive that one or both of these solutions will be able to help you indefinitely if you follow the instructions step by step if you have any more technical problems make sure to address them openly as you did this time, this is a good way to receive public help. Please update me on whether one of these solutions worked for you. You could try both solutions or just one or the other, neither of these will harm your performance in any way and are entirely safe I will be watching this thread and good luck, Please, keep me updated!

Solution 1
If you have Optifine and its still not working there's a chance that it could be from not having enough ram allocated towards Minecraft, I'd only guess that possibly you're using an older computer, but if that's not the case then I am unsure of what to tell you because it should be working fine. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to try as allocating ram can speed up many things as well, Here's a video link on how to allocate more ram into your Minecraft. You may want to try this first and see when you join with the resource pack enabled if it will allow you to finally pass making the request as it will boost performance, Remember you will still need to be using optifine.

Solution 2
The second solution could be to try and manually download the resource pack and use it that way instead of enabling it and joining the server, Optifine will still be needed for this. Downloading the servers resource pack manually is really simple and easy to do, Click this link for a video tutorial. The only problem with this is when you download the resource pack it will forever be stuck the way it is, but you can always just re-download with this solution to get an updated version.
