By: Sumi Ishida Although Karakura High School and Community College’s chefs work hard to provide nutritious meals for students, there are many days where students must go without. Whether from illness, being understaffed, or other extenuating circumstances, the cafeteria sees many days without operation. In order to fill their stomachs, students must turn to the nearest school vending machine to attempt at finding a snack to satiate their hunger. But do these packaged delights truly provide a nourishing meal? Let’s break down what nutrition these snacks actually hold, and how you can optimize your purchases to meet your specific needs. Dried Sweet Potato (100g): Calories: 393 Sodium: 107mg Carbohydrates: 89g Protein: 4g Calcium...

Sports Overhaul; New Captains to Come On the 30th of October (2025), Doug Brown made the announcement on the school’s P.A. system that he was now in charge of school sports and that he was on the look for new captains for some teams. For those new captains, he was hosting tryouts. Any interested students without any prior obligations were able to come to the SLT offices to prove that they were capable of running a team. Pictured above is the setup for the tryouts; students who wanted the position were able to sign up with either Jandranka Draganja-V.M. (Highschool) or Korain Byun (College). Then, they were added to the waitlist and eventually called into the office for an interview with Doug Brown, Kaito Akiyama, and Kiyoko Akai. That...
୨୧ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ୨୧ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ୨୧ INTRODUCTION TOPIC OF INTEREST ‘Greetings, fellow students attending Karakura Highschool and College. I know that I have been absent for quite some time, but I have no intention of disappointing you with this article - or the upcoming articles that I have written and will publish in the following weeks. Especially considering that I will likely have to write a sequel to this article, considering its importance. However, today we will be discussing the teaching of history, or lack thereof, in this town. I will primarily discuss the historical knowledge of the people attending the school and the faculty allegedly teaching the subject. Now, without further nonsense, allow me to elaborate on the topic.’ ✦...

By: Michele A. Bendetti On August 17th, 2025, during the late hours of the night, many students reported seeing multiple faculty members carrying a bleeding person from outside the school grounds into the hospital. The traumatizing scene, for many, sparked a series of rumors and questions that soon began to reach the ears of more students. From an attack by criminals to a conspiracy theory of a backstabber within the faculty members, the rumors spread like wildfire. Still, one question remained the same: What happened during that infamous night? On that night, Vice-Chancellor Byeol Akihito organized a social event for the professors of Karakura College, a pajama party, that aimed at improving morale within the faction, especially...

Nature: Why We Need More of it in Schools. William O. Wisp, August 4th, 2025. Everywhere we go, nature surrounds us in some way. Whether it be the trees towering over us as we walk up the steps into school or the bushes lining the hallways as we head to class, plants are always there with us. I think it’s safe to say that most people don’t notice their presence– it’s just decoration after all– but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect our daily lives in important ways. When you think of plants, what comes to mind? For some, it may just be an image of a tree or flower; for others though, it’s a feeling. Sometimes it’s a much-needed symbol of freshness against loud, dirty hallways; other times it’s a welcome break from the sterile...
Faculty Retirement 06 AUGUST 2025 -- By Flay-Ming Akori The Cycle Each month or so, you may notice a handful of new faces within the herd of faculty. You may also notice the lack of familiar faces as old ones set off to a new mission. The main question lies here: Why do faculty retire? Pushing and Pulling The main motivators of life changes are push-pull factors. Pushing someone out, or pulling someone in. Even a bit of both. If we take these reasons into account, we may be able to dig deeper into the real reasons a given member of faculty leaves the job. Push Factors Student Behaviors: Student behaviors affect many faculty members daily. Whether it’s stalking, fighting, writing fan fictions, or ignoring them. Faculty will get...

Inari Lenue, pictured in a selfie with Kekóa. The fakest smile she can muster adorns her face as Kekoa stares blankly. [There would be an audio file embedded here with the option to play it!] When played, the file would play a clip of Kekóa Anakóni speaking, recorded over a very cheap microphone. Kekóa’s voice could be heard “I thought you were gonna ask me out for drinks then.” Which is followed by a female voice, which has been slightly altered since that’s all that’s required for obfuscation due to the awful microphone. The female voice replies “You’re taken bro-” Kekóa replies with a line so insane, it has been audio enhanced for perfect clarity and crispness. “I said I had a woman. Didn’t say it was committed.” [The audio file...
by: Clémentine Perrin Table of Contents 1. Meeting from Hell 2. Voodoo Dolls and Magic Mirrors 3. The Abdication of Carlisle Fox 4. A Saint's Testimony 5. Clémentime with Clémentine ══•●•══ The Occult Club, Amelia Lee Moon’s paragon, the club with engagement (a first), that surpassed the once mighty Journalism Club itself. An impressive feat of the Karakuran student body- but what happens when you leave an occult institution to children, and then you create a two-party system within? Basically, you get Lord of the Flies but there’s actually a beast and all the little British boys murdered each other. The Mirror that reflects your life’s regrets pops up, Teresa Keating becomes a literal political puppet, Carlisle Fox goes “You’re...
Karakura High: The “Animals” Inside Written by Tsukiko Kurosawa ────────── Karakura High School & College is home to many things. Each day you’re sure to find several students as well as faculty around. There’s also a chance you may run into one of the many resident animals of the school. These creatures are not urban legend or myth, they walk the same halls as us. Some may have noticed dog ears on a classmate. A tail worn by a friend. Perhaps even.. A shrimp? These all could be signs of a school animal. Their danger level depends on the severity. ────────── I composed several files on some animals found on school grounds. This public resource has been made for the student body to refer to in cases of emergency. If attacked, alert a...
