"What is your favorite? " "Hello, dearies! This is Hina Pesutori with her first report as a journalist, and it's about food! I asked a few students what their favorite foods are from their culture or country and what they like that isn't from theirs! This will be quick so I can get used to things!" When it comes to eating yummy food I happen to know all about it! partially because I'm hungry all the time! so I decided it would be good to get everyone's thoughts on the foods from their cultures and others and which happens to be their favourite from each!! "What's your favorite food from your culture and or country?" Ikuo Kamodo: "It's a popular one in *****ia so I'd say Jallof Rice Jallof Rice: Jollof, or jollof rice, is a...
Now, after speaking with students at Karakura High School and College, I understand that some students have concerns over raccoons being in schools due to their wild nature; however, there is an argument to let more animals into the school for emotional support and the mental wellbeing of students. When speaking to students Tsugi U. Jahii and Keio Y. Akori, they had concerns around raccoons being in schools due to the diseases they carry and the deceitful nature of the creatures. There was this Where’s-Waldo looking youngster who seemed to be afraid of the existence of raccoons, as well as me, but stayed to talk about their concerns. How can we ensure students’ safety and that the animals will be effective at emotionally...
What’s Up With? 03 AUGUST 2024 - by Tsugi Urushido Jahii What’s Up With: All Of These Detentions? So Many Drunk Students! What’s up with students bringing alcohol and downing half a bottle before classes? They stumble around school with faculty in clear view as if they’re not going to get caught. Why cause trouble if you can’t run away? The Assault is Too Much Where are people getting the ideas of beating each other up? Once caught they run away, but little do they know, the intercom will call their names for all to hear. So many assault instances, the detention rooms are full of them. Pretty soon it’ll be suspensions and expulsions! Pranks and Swirlies? What’s up with the sudden urge to flush someone’s head down a toilet? What’s...
What’s Up With? 16 September 2024 - by Tsugi Urushido Jahii What’s Up With: All Of This Littering? Books are Everywhere! What’s up with students making copies of books and just sprawling them out everywhere they walk. And no, they’re not accidentally dropping them and waiting for their true love to bump hands and lock eyes. No way, it’s always GOSSIP, and RUMORS, and CRINGE stuff. Maybe PARTY invites or unwanted CLASS ASSIGNMENTS. Either way, it’s getting old. Sometimes it’s not even signed so no one knows who wrote it. The Trash Cans are Empty?! Every time I see some trash on the floor, there’s at least two trash cans nearby, which are empty! Is no one using them? Are caretakers just taking trash out every chance they get to...
Welcome to another part of my ‘Mysteries of Karakura’ series, which I most definitely did not make up to link several of my past reports with a shared theme together! As I once investigated the Occult Club Disappearance of 1987, I’ve now switched focus to another mystery taking place on school grounds; The Satomi Kato incident of August 1963. During the early 60s, Kato was a star student in Karakura high school. Well-liked throughout our town, she was regarded as both the ideal student and daughter by all who knew her - until the incident around which this report is focused. August 7th, 1963 would become a day steeped in bloodshed & infamy upon the end of school hours for the day. Kato approached her teacher, Matsuoka Takara, to...
Brandy Millwell's Paranormal blog of Karakura Academics: Case 07. The End Of Keio Some spirits come in spite, don’t they? Others strike merely due to being summoned by others, doing the bidding of the summoner to act revenge and terror in hindsight of a situation. I am Brandy Millwell, and in today's investigation is about former Journalism club leader, Keio Yeou-Akori, whom appeared to have died in some freak, spiritual accident inside the club room .. THE DEATHLY HAUNTING Keio Yeou-Akori, the head of the Journalism Club at Karakura High School, often stayed late after school to finish editing the club's articles. One evening, as they worked in the dimly lit journalism club room, they decided to make a cup of coffee to stay...
Brandy Millwell's Paranormal blog of Karakura Academics: Case 06. Nakamura's Zashiki-warashi Encounter Japanese folk tales, something told and passed down from generations to generations ... but is that all they are? A folk tale? A mere tale to tell ...? Or perhaps are they far more than just a tale? I am Brandy Millwell, and in today's investigation, I spoke to Sora Nakamura, a high school graduate and former athlete, who recounted his experience of a haunting in the small school gym THE EXPERIENCE Sora Nakamura, who at the time was a seventeen-year-old student, lingered in the gym one evening after volleyball practice. The once-bustling school was now eerily silent as he entered the small locker room to change. The fluorescent...
As many of you may be aware, we recently got a new vice principal - Amy Lee Moon. In her time, though, nobody seems to have mentioned her - simply carried on as if her predecessor, Akiya Kusunagi, never left. No mentions of her young age, nothing - and she herself has settled into her role just as silently. So, as late as this is, I’ve interviewed her to try and bridge any potential gaps between her and the student body here. (LC: Lia Celestiasume, ALM: Amy Lee Moon) LC: So, starting off - bit of a vague question, but tell me about yourself. ALM: I am a middle-class working woman who specialises in linguistics, student support and Safeguarding that works to support two children in a household of three. LC: I see - straight to...
The Library Book Question 25th July 2024 - by Tsugi Urushido Jahii OVERVIEW The library often is found empty, librarians grow bored, and I don’t blame them. We haven’t had many changes in the library, including new books. So this sparks a question, when the library someday gets new books, who should provide them? Students I definitely lean towards this one! The students in Karakura range from ages 13 all the way to age 24. Some underestimate the experience these people have, and it makes me wonder if they can submit their craziest stories for other students to enjoy. Perhaps students have different interests and spend their freetime learning about it to the point of being able to write a good informative book about it. How do we...
“Media is in your hands!” “A Media Club report Senior Alyssa Yasush recently took over the Media Club This is gonna be a short one, I dunno’ nothin’ about reports, I just play video games“ Alyssa is eighteen years old and most popularly known for her social media influence on Onrain. Her second in command as Vice President is Imai Taniguchi. Alyssa Wrote that her motivation to take over the club is: "My motivation to be a new club leader is mostly because I want to do more as a student. I've been on sports teams in the past (Cheer + baseball) and been unsure of what to do moving forward. I've considered student council but I felt it didn't fit who I am. In all honesty, and I didn't even think about applying til’ the announcement came...
By: Sumi Ishida If you’ve been attending Karakura high school or community college for a while now, you may have picked up on some complaints about the class environment or violence in school and wondered how prevalent the issue truly is. You may even have experienced or witnessed the problem firsthand. These ongoing whispers of brawls and skirmishes bring the question to mind of how students are to focus on academics while dodging fists left and right? Let’s take a closer look at how students on average are feeling towards their education, and the current environment they're learning in. The following polls were conducted on 20 students, of varying age, and found in differing locations around the school. Overall the average...
Many may not have realised - I myself didn’t know this until recently - but Karakura High School has had a gardening club for a while now. It was only recently, however, the long-overshadowed club found itself under new management by a friend of mine, Athy Hayamiya. To help promote the club - support it seems to need, given its apparent obscurity until now - and support Athy, I have interviewed her to find out both her goals and plans for the club moving forward, and her reasons for taking this leadership role. (LC - Lia Celestiasume, AH - Athy Hayamiya) LC: So, tell me about yourself. What made you decide to start a gardening club? AH: Well… I didn’t start the club - I’m actually not sure who started it… I’m guessing it was a...
Volunteering in KHS June 26th 2024 - by Tsugi Urushido Jahii Should volunteering be a new norm for KHS students? Yes! People should be able to volunteer. When walking around school, I notice how many students are out and about during class time. Classes are full, students are running rampant, and boredom walls come caving in. When students aren’t busy, they seem to gravitate towards causing trouble, getting attention from faculty. It can be exhausting, so why not allow students to volunteer? Volunteering can allow students to take control and learn how to become respectful leaders. It can teach them valuable skills and how to get along with others. Sometimes students can expand their knowledge by volunteering somewhere they never...
“Be wild and get wild!!” A report on the Gyaru group in the school you didn't know about! Yo! Yo! Yo! Check it out! A report on the Gyaru group that's in the school and on Onrain! I’ll be using the group's post on Onrain for all my references so if you wanna check them out yourselves i’ll leave their usernames! Photo from @GyaruGirl on Onrain “What are Gyarus?” Gyaru, is a Japanese fashion subculture. The term gyaru is a Japanese transliteration of the English slang word gal. The initial meaning as a Japanese slang word during the Showa era was similar to the English meaning and referred to a young woman in her late teens to twenties. Photo from @Arigatougyaru on Onrain “Are there different types of Gyarus?” You can...
Valentina! A Rose With Thorns! A report on your favorite (probably) high school, cheer team captain! Yo! Yo! Yo! Check it out! A report on the high school cheer team captain, I'm pretty sure this is the first report of the summer too, if not then it is now! I also put something at the end of the report for anyone who doesn't have someone to spend their summer with! The Rose! During school time, you can see the pretty face going about her day with her friends doing whatever cheerleaders do! the other day I saw her getting harassed by these three weirdos! so it seems she's popular with the new guys around! or its just that she's super attractive, who knows! but there's one thing I know for sure is that she doesn't mess around when...
As many may remember from my last report, Karakura High School’s current occult club is not its first - it previously hosted one for a 20 year period between 1967-1987. However, as my previous report noted, tragedy struck and claimed the lives of nine of the club’s ten members in February 1987 - with the tenth member, Takeshi Sone, going missing. To this day, the mystery surrounding the deaths of the club’s nine members, Tagawa Suki, Yanagi Katsu, Asato Michi, Tsukimoto Hikaru, Kase Tatsuya, Ohashi Tomiko, Mizuno Yasuko, Soga Kayo and Rei Nobuko remains unsolved - and Takeshi’s disappearance remains as confusing. Despite this, however, I have made a breakthrough - and while I, regretfully, can’t say I know what became of Takeshi or...
