[Feedback] Regarding Lack of NPCs

Suggestion:
This suggestion could be featured in the new map. More Shop NPCs. I think they're necessary to make the roleplay more realistic and interactive.

My first argument would be that shops owned by players open rarely, only a few times a day. While that might not seem bad at first glance, there should be shops that are opened 24/7 which cannot be done by players. That can be changed with NPCs. Shop NPCs already exist, the vehicle dealer and some others being one of them, but like the title said, there are only few.

Being able to do your daily/weekly groceries IC once in an OOC week if you're lucky? That doesn't sound too good. There should some kind of supermarket players can access to all times or well, frequently. There should be an NPC cashier and signs which you could right-click in order to get your groceries. A player could also roleplay as a cashier even though they don't actually get money. Regarding of where these NPC shops would be, you could use the first floor of the estates in the city square. (This would be discussed with the owner of the estate)

Besides being a rarely visited place to hangout, the library has no use whatsoever. This could be changed with either the addition of an NPC Librarian or a Librarian job. You could borrow books or even write your own to be sold to the library which would be made possible with applications for books to be read. Books with Karakura lore, even Gang lore. That would make the addition of an entire new field of an entire new field of roleplay possible.

In Conclusion, one can say that these additions to the game could improve the roleplay and possibilities in SRP a lot. This has been my first feedback, if there were any mistakes made in this document, please inform me about it.

It is a roleplay server for a reason, so it allows players to own their own shops, but sometimes more roleplay requires places you can hang out for more roleplay opportunity. For example, having an NPC owned shop, such as a bakery. (Though there is already a player owner store) More players will start to hang out there and it will be open often. This will open up more opportunities to buy items from shops that do not open very often, or the owner is in a different timezone than the player.

The downside of this idea is that perhaps shops will be open so often that most players will start roleplaying there instead of actual player owned shops, causing them to lose profit, though this probably won’t happen. Wonderful first feedback, this would most likely be made in the new map as well or so I would hope.

To say they would make Roleplay more Realistic & Interactive is completely contradicting as to have PLAYERS work at shops would be WAY more interactive. Just saying.

But, you are correct. Shops sometimes open quite often but other times we can go days with not much activity. If I were to suggest something I would say we were to have the Family Store make a return and be open 24/7. But it only sells simple items like Books, Pencils, Pens & Smaller hats that New Players can enjoy.

I 100% agree. I'm super new and getting started has been highly difficult. If I weren't to have stayed up researching and reading as much as I could find and gather from the forums, I'd still be just as lost. What I did find helped to an extent, but for the most part, it took asking players that were kind enough to help.
On that note, I don't even know how any staff online would be identifiable. But, I do know all the times of using /help resulted in nothing.
I love the idea of this server, but the downside is that open classes, shops, restaurants, etc. are a rare find.
Not to mention the rude players and shopkeepers that do make the roleplay experience unenjoyable.
After FINALLY finding an open shop, waiting in a line, just to have another player skip in front of me, steal my spot, an employee called me a fat cow and tp'd me to spawn- lol. Very enjoyable first shop experience.
So much potential to be something great, just not quite there.

Since the shops sell many items that are only available there, they will only lose a tiny bit to no profit to the Shop NPCs. If the shop sells the same items as the Shop NPC, they will likely sell it for less and still make profit.

^^ I've spent hours just asking players for help, reading the forums, and just figuring out what to do. It's quite disheartening when you spend 2 hours walking around only to figure out there is no NPC's that have a 24/7 shop ;/

I've never seen a single staff online either, server has so much potential.

It would indeed be more interactive if everything was done by players, but since the shops opened by players don't open a lot, adding an NPC Shop would be a great solution to that problem. Simple school items as mentioned as well as simple food items and ingredients can be bought, making the COOKING feature more used by players. It appears to me that most people don't even remember that there is/was a cooking feature.

Thank you for taking my idea into consideration.

I can't express how stressed I am when there's a shop owner open and they just don't open their shops.. It's so hard to find shop owners who would be open for my timezone since I live in GMT+8. Sometimes I'd lose the chance to even shop because I would be either late or the shop is closing already. I feel like shopping here would be the best RP experience I'll ever have in this server yet it's so rare that I have to wake up early only to find that there's no shops to buy from. Even restaurants! I couldn't get my friends into rping with me in the server because there's barely anything else to do other than just wait for a shop owner/ teacher / doctor to come online to rp.

It would be much better for me if there was a shop owner who would be open in my timezone but like, there's only like 30-80 people online in the server so I'd pretty much understand why they wouldn't make profit out of it.

The only way for me to shop is through the auction house.. and sometimes the things there don't interest me at all. It's REALLY rare for me to see some shop owners go online in the middle of the day in my time and that really takes the fun out of me.

plus I'm not allowed to stay up late so- yeah. it's tough for me i guess.

I was going to suggest this a couple of days ago but I'm glad you did. As for the supermarket thing, 11/7 has been blocked off with wood and is no longer applicable which I have no idea why that's the case. 11/7 is probably the most vital shop out of all the shops and blocking it out like that just kills a lot of RP possibilities. I think 11/7 should be re-opened with NPC's which sell fruits, vegetables, and other things you'd normally find in an 11/7 kind of similar to how there's an NPC for selling bikes near the bowling alley. It's weird how we have an NPC selling bikes, an NPC selling fishing rods but not an NPC selling school basics! For the whole pencil, notebook and stuff like that shop, I think the school library or public library would be perfect and for the school library, it could be an additional job for librarians to do since all they do is sit all day. In conclusion, seeing more NPCs is a very welcome change.
