Aoi Soda, in defense of the two suspects of today’s trial, claimed that an officer had falsely arrested the two after being caught in the act of assault, as well as possessing an illegal weapon.
In the case of her victory, she requested the apology of police detective Ernesto Martinez through the means of cash, as well as a judicial pardon from the arresting officer. Today in the courthouse this dispute was settled.
Upon the first few minutes, Aoi Soda mentions her relation to Sage Soda, one of the suspects, as his mother. She also mentions that she knows Christopher Beck as her son’s friend. “He is a good kid”, she stated.
Now for a description of details, what really happened?
Weeks before the incident, Sage Soda’s leg had been broken and casted, Beck and Soda were attempting to remove the cast before Soda had been caught amputating his own leg using Beck’s cleaver- inadvertently. Evidence shows Sage chastising Christopher for alerting the police department instead of EMS, then, another clip of Ernesto’s co-worker Maria Hart assisting in the arrest, to which she mutters a profanity-inclusive insult to the boys.
In a sequence of debate that was arguably going nowhere, Andrei Popovich, in defense of Sage Soda, requested a moment to commune with the plaintiff, resulting in Sage snarkily pleading insanity.
It was unhelpful that Sage had ended up incriminating himself further by mentioning he was under the influence at the time. The verdict determined that Christopher Beck had been pardoned, while Sage Soda’s major weaponry charge was dropped to minor, making his bail 430,000 yen. Finally, the judges determined that an apology will be issued from the the officers.
