Haruka would have wavy hair reaching down to her waist. She would smell faintly of mint and have amethyst purple eyes. Her fair skin would go well with her favorite purple top.

Haruka is kind to everyone she talks to-if she does end up talking to someone, she really likes them. Due to her shyness, most people don't think she's that smart, she's actually earned countless tokens in class and is very intelligent.

Tuyen was a caring and brave woman. She cared so much for her children and even in death her 'tinh thần' (spirit) is still watching over her children.
Masashi Sakata - Father - MISSING
After Tuyen's funeral, Masashi packed his bags filled with alcohol, cigars, drugs and tears and then he left. He didn't even wave goodbye to Haru and Asai. Haru tried her hardest to keep her and Asai living, until their grandparents saved them, the 2 years they were alone on the streets were heartbreaking and traumatic, especially for Asai.
Asai Sakata - Sister - ALIVE
Asai has always been more talented and braver than Haru, even though Haru is older. Before Masashi left, Asai's hair was just like Haru's, wavy dark brown. After Tuyen died and Masashi left, Asai's world fell apart. She straightened her hair and dyed it white, she's been slightly paler ever since the incident. Haru misses the old Asai, even though everyone thought they were twins. When Asai was 13, her and Haru seperated for about 3 years due to Asai's depression and Haru's anxiety.
Binh Thi - Grandmother - ALIVE
Binh Thi took in the girls after trying to contact her son in law for over a year, Masashi never answered. Asai loved Binh Thi's pho soup and pool, Haru just loved having a home. After a while, Asai suggested that the three of them move to Karakura, Japan, for they couldn't live with Binh Thi forever. Binh Thi said she couldn't leave, she said Vietnam was her home, she couldn't leave because Bo Thi's spirit was still there - she had to protect his spirit, like his spirit would protect the girls in Karakura.
Bo Thi - Grandfather - DECEASED
Bo Thi fought in the Sino-Vietnam war, between China and Vietnam. Bo Thi is probably where Asai got her confidence from, to the girls, Bo Thi was indestructible - not his life, but his heart.

Backstory
Haruka, born in Hanoi, Vietnam on December 13th, barely talked for most of her life. The 3 years that Haru got to herself, just her, her mom and her dad, were amazing. Haru's mom gave her a purple bracelet that she wears to this day. After Asai was born, Haru's mom divided her love, but somehow still made it so the girls felt equal. In Haru's early days, she wasn't very smart, she was shy and barley participated in class activities. Haru's mom was teaching Asai, she kind of forgot that Haru's academic career was just as important as Asai's. Haru just listened in on all of Asai's tutoring sessions, snuck out the house to go to the library and study on her own. Soon enough, Haru's grades were flying out the roof! Then of course, all good things come to an end. . . life fell apart.
When Haru's mom died, Haru was heading into College, Asai was still in high-school, so they had to seperate. Haru didn't get a lot of time to keep up with Asai and work was killing her, mentally. Haru developed anxiety, meanwhile, Asai dyed her hair white and the girls needed a home. Haru suggested they get an apartment to share, but the apartment was too far from college and they couldn't afford it. Binh Thi loaned the girls 500,000 yen and the girls split it. Haru continued in college and Asai visited the shrine more often.
As Haru progressed in school, she became more interested in literature. Haru joined the photography and literature club, she's hoping to major in literature or creative writing when she gets a PHD. Haru currently doesn't have anyone to support her, but knowing Asai is okay now and just knowing her mom's spirit is with her, she'll be fine.
