Along his left arm, Elias has an intricate tattoo of a black snake coiled through a bed of sky blue and royal blue roses. The meaning behind this tattoo wasn't obvious, but Elias had gotten it when he was 16 back in Germany. He had gotten it in rebellion towards his mother.

Elias' curled locks were sometimes held up in a black elastic band that he normally wore on his wrist. His eyelashes were long, framing his heterochromatic eyes. He had freckles that covered his cheeks and nose, some even being found on his shoulders. Around his neck, a handmade black braided cord hung to the middle of his chest with a metal triangle at the end. On his left hand, he had two black steel rings on his ring finger, a silver ring with his brothers name engraved on his middle finger, and a black steel ring on his index finger. On his right hand, he had a silver ring on his ring and middle finger, and a black steel ring on his thumb.

A lot of Elias' personality ties into his jock-ish attitude. Elias is an overall charismatic and athletic individual, never being afraid to hop into a conversation and tending to make friends with most around him. he's compassionate as needed, but rarely shows it. When interacting with him overtime, he'll open up more to you- although he has a select few people he shows his true colors to. He's realistic to a fault, but morality isn't his strong suit.
At times, Elias can get quite aggressive. He'll shove you away or throw a punch or two. Many assume he's bipolar, or has general anger issues. They wouldn't be wrong per-say, but these issues stem from deep-set problems in his past that he can't escape.

While home in Germany, Elias' mother always forced her beliefs onto him. She constantly used him to vent her frustrations, and having been divorced, she couldn't keep up the house on her own, even despite being a nurse. At the age of 12, Elias and her were forced to live in the slums of their city, his mother taking up working the streets at night to make ends meet in their small apartment. It was an unfortunate turn of events, and Elias was more often than not living out on the streets. He had joined a group of older boys who had similar experiences to him- getting him involved in breaking and entering houses for money just to live, which he brought home and stashed away from his mother; fearful of what she'd do if she were to find out. His depression had settled in more and more, being subject to his mothers abuse when she came home. She would raid through his room- with the little furniture he had- searching to make sure he wasn't taking anything of hers. She held no trust for him.

His older brother, Gabriel. Elias hasn't known Gabriel all his life- a large chunk of it having been with them separated. Elias bullies Gabriel at every given chance he can. It's mutual, really. Gabriel tries to reason with him but Elias still goes out of his way to annoy him.
Rin Kirigaya [Adopted Cousin] -
Rin was one of the first people Elias had met upon coming to Karakura who understood what he was saying. Elias warmed up to the idea of befriending Rin purely out of mutual respect, and Rin had helped him better understand how Karakura worked and what places to go to. One thing that stuck out to Elias was Rin's never-ending supply of e-girls and knowledge on Volleyball. Elias looks up to Rin as a brother, and refers to him as such.
Sea Kirigaya [Adopted Father] -
Rin had introduced Sea to Elias when they had come upon the decision to invite Elias to stay with them at their residence. In return, Sea had adopted Elias to be his son- making Rin and Elias cousins. Elias doesn't often see Sea, and when he does it's hostile and overall disrespectful to the older man. The reason behind this might not be immediately obvious, or known, but Elias' deepset hatred for older men stems from his mistreatment as a child when his mother brought men home.

Aldric Blackburn
Aldric Blackburn. My my. . where do we begin? Aldric Blackburn had met Elias on his first night staying in Karakura. Elias had stumbled into one of the college team houses and passed out downstairs- mistaking it for a family members house. He had woken to the sound of girls partying on their basement stage and singing (quite terribly, at that). Aldric had tried to confront him, to which Elias gave the man a cold shoulder- barely understanding Japanese. He stumbled upstairs and was let out promptly by a girl who seemed to have little to no care that some strange German kid was suddenly. . there. Aldric tried to follow him down the road, and eventually was turned down by Elias giving him a cold glare and a rude comment.
Later on, they had met again and the two formed a bond over china sets and a understand for one another. Aldric soon after had left Karakura with no parting words- leaving his apartment to a new friend who, later down the line, would be Elias' first boyfriend in Karakura.
Misaki Blackburn
The ex-track star of the college track team. Elias had met Misaki through a small group of people at the plaza. Elias had gone to them about an issue he was having, and tried desperately to understand what they were saying. At this point, Elias had gotten a bit better with his Japanese but wasn't quite able to respond in the same way. Here, Misaki had saved him from an awkward situation involving Katsuhito and Sachiko Saiky. As they started arguing, Misaki instead took Elias to her house where he promptly passed out from lack of sleep. When he had woken up, it was still dark. Instead of being normal and walking through the bedroom door, he instead swung himself off her bedroom balcony to the ground below and left.
On their second encounter, Elias had grown more confident here in Karakura- picking her up out of nowhere and running. Unfortunately for Misaki, Elias had run across a group of kids fighting by the pool. He had an idea. A terrible idea. He grabbed Misaki by the ankles, swinging her around in a circle to get the kids to break it up. Thus, Helicopter Misaki was formed. She doesn't forgive him for that- and still bites him to this day.
But deep down she still loves Elias. Sort of. (I hope..)
Ling Hisakawa
Ling Hisakawa is an interesting friendship. Elias had gone to Ling when he was unsure of how to feel about Katsuhito, and Ling stuck up for him in the situation regarding Katsuhito and Sachiko. Ling is Elias' advisor on what to do, and despite not being that close to him, Ling still supports Elias as needed. Even if he does bully Elias and accuse him. .

Katsuhito Saiky [Ex-Boyfriend]-
His first boyfriend in Karakura. They had a shaky start, having started dating on a whim. Elias was soft towards Katsuhito, showing him a sweet side nobody else has ever seen. Katsuhito brought out the shy, quiet version of Elias- babying him to no end. Katsuhito was the one person who Elias would bend and break for, and unfortunately things had ended due to constant tensions on Katsuhito's side of the family with constant arguments.
Elias had learned of Katsuhito's supposed cheating during the relationship long after the break up and, over time, his anger took over and clouded his judgement. Elias had grown sick of Katsuhito and how he acted, having realized how stuck up the Saiky was.
Over time, the bad blood grew and it eventually got to a point where the only way Katsuhito could break Elias' bad mood was through manipulation. Between guilt tripping him with tears and manipulating Elias' soft hearted emotions towards Katsuhito, he wiggled his way back into his life and got what he wanted. Almost. Katsuhito had stepped over a line despite the warning signs, and once Elias had become aware of what he did, Elias had shut him out- for good.

yeah, fuck this guy. Elias hates Rikiya with a burning passion but he just can't get enough of this stupid journalist with the stupid new shoes. Elias almost beat him to a pulp one time. It didn't end well.
