Backstory (Outside of Karakura):
Ibuki, Itsuo, and Kaede were born to a happy marriage. Although, when their father had found out that Kaede had been given to their mother, Mizani's family, their father, Buuma, began to become quite abusive to their mother. Mizani began to develop brain cancer and needed her children to take care of her. Ibuki dedicated her time to taking care of her mother, until her mother sadly passed away from brain cancer. Ibuki's father grew more aggressive and hated his children. Buuma would often lock the children up in a basement. Usually, Ibuki could easily pick the lock to grab food and clean Itsuo's and her own clothes, but when she was caught, Buuma began to board the attic up. Ibuki and Itsuo soon grew tired of this daily fight with their father, and decided to try to escape for good. Once they were free they grabbed what the could carry in a bag and ran away from the birth home.
They wandered the streets of Provence, begging for help, searching for some sort of shelter for themselves. By the age of 15, they had learned the streets didn't care about them. Ibuki had gotten small modeling gigs that kept food in their stomachs and fresh clothes on their backs. They still continued to wander the streets, forbidding themselves from ever settling down in case their father found them. Ibuki and Itsuo were surrounded by a group of thieves, trying to steal their food. One of them had taken Itsuo and Ibuki did her best to try to fight them for her brother, but she sustained a crack in her skull. Ibuki and Itsuo made their ways towards the loading and delivering docks. They read every ship carefully, being picky because whatever ship they got on, was going to take them to a better home. They both deciding on the first docking ship too Karakura, Japan. Ibuki and Itsuo hopped of their ship and began to explore the streets before the decided to settle themselves down at an orphanage. By the time they were 17, they got adopted by Marceline Marie. Ibuki caught the eye of Asher Masanori Monet, and he adopted her as one of his many siblings.
Backstory (Inside of Karakura):
Ibuki fell in love with the animals of Karakura and has somewhat adopted a good portion of them. She attracted the attention of some people, but no one really has her heart like Xiomara does. She fell in love with Niko Hayashi, but she didn't enjoy that type of love he gave to her, so she moved on. After the death of her sister Onyx, she took on the position of being somewhat a mother figure in Yamil's life. She tries her best to keep her nephew away from the bad parts of Karakura. She soon fell pregnant with Yuka's children and excitedly said yes to his proposal. The saddest part about their relationship is that Xiomara will always be Ibuki's first love. Ibuki happily took her place in the medical wing of the Ketsueki Clan. She enjoys helping out and tending to small wounds. She surrounds herself with a loving group of people and couldn't be happier to have such a great supportive friend group. She trusts that they will shower her children in gifts and love.

He is younger than her by 3 entire minutes, and she often makes fun of him for it and uses it as an excuse for him to do whatever she wants. Ibuki is extremely protective of her brother, to the point it can sometimes be smothering for him. Ibuki often tries to protect Itsuo from memories of their birth father.
Kaede Ryder Otto (Identical Triplet Sister): Kaede is Ibuki's triplet sister. They were separated at birth and given to Ibuki's biological mother's family. Kaede came out as Nonbionary to Ibuki when they first met. Kaede never had to struggle the way Ibuki and Itsuo had to, but they don't treat Ibuki or Itsuo any differently.
Marceline Marie (Mother): Ibuki is such a mother's girl its hilarious. She's always under Marceline. She loves having conversations with her mother and often does her hardest to be exactly like her.
Poppy McSquimpus (Close Friend): Poppy and Ibuki work well together! Ibuki called Poppy for her son's wedding to be the priest and has been close to her ever sense.
Mun-Hee 'Gia' Laresca (Best Friend/Platonic Wife): Mun-Hee and Ibuki ended up going to prom together. They also ended up getting platonically married straight after. Mun-hee and Ibuki also are Marina's "parents".
Andre Othonos (Enemy): Ibuki hates the existence that is Andre. She doesn't like being around him nor his girlfriend and would rather distance herself than to be stuck in a room with him.
Marina Viano (Daughter): Ibuki loves the hell out of her child. She often is very protective of her child and always carries her. She has threatened several people when it comes to her child.
Giovanna Viano (Best Friend): Ibuki and Giovanna often argue a lot but they are extremely close. Their arguments usually are about topics that are ver hurtful towards either of them. Giovanna hates how much alcohol Ibuki attempts to consume and often takes the bottles and hides them from her.
Aoife 'Calico' O'Sullivan (Best Friend): She cried in Calico's arms during her depression and often stayed at her apartment when she was too weak and hung over to move. Calico and Ibuki argue and fight a lot, but they are still best friend. Ibuki will always choose Calico's side no matter what. She has undeniable loyalty to Calico. To bad she's going to ruin it.
Flamenco (Bird Son): Ibuki adopted Flamenco without hesitation. She walked Flamenco down the isle during his wedding and often can be seen teaching him how to steal from people. She's committed small crimes along side the bird and she knows Flamenco will do anything for her without hesitation. Ibuki often carries Flamenco in her hair. Usually they are so in sync its scary
Daniel Lacrosse (Grandfather Figure): Daniel and Ibuki have the somewhat wise old man and child relationship. She refers to him as her grandfather, or 'peepaw'. He was also the priest at her wedding. She enjoys his company and his advice.
Tobias O'Sullivan Saki (Enemy): Ibuki and Tobias had a rough start that quickly grew more violently. Tobias ended up seriously injuring her when he struck her in the head with a rock until she was unconscious. Ibuki wants to get even. Very even.

Backstory (Outside of Karakura):
Ibuki, Itsuo, and Kaede were born to a happy marriage. Although, when their father had found out that Kaede had been given to their mother, Mizani's family, their father, Buuma, began to become quite abusive to their mother. Mizani began to develop brain cancer and needed her children to take care of her. Ibuki dedicated her time to taking care of her mother, until her mother sadly passed away from brain cancer. Ibuki's father grew more aggressive and hated his children. Buuma would often lock the children up in a basement. Usually, Ibuki could easily pick the lock to grab food and clean Itsuo's and her own clothes, but when she was caught, Buuma began to board the attic up. Ibuki and Itsuo soon grew tired of this daily fight with their father, and decided to try to escape for good. Once they were free they grabbed what the could carry in a bag and ran away from the birth home.
They wandered the streets of Provence, begging for help, searching for some sort of shelter for themselves. By the age of 15, they had learned the streets didn't care about them. Ibuki had gotten small modeling gigs that kept food in their stomachs and fresh clothes on their backs. They still continued to wander the streets, forbidding themselves from ever settling down in case their father found them. Ibuki and Itsuo were surrounded by a group of thieves, trying to steal their food. One of them had taken Itsuo and Ibuki did her best to try to fight them for her brother, but she sustained a crack in her skull. Ibuki and Itsuo made their ways towards the loading and delivering docks. They read every ship carefully, being picky because whatever ship they got on, was going to take them to a better home. They both deciding on the first docking ship too Karakura, Japan. Ibuki and Itsuo hopped of their ship and began to explore the streets before the decided to settle themselves down at an orphanage. By the time they were 17, they got adopted by Marceline Marie. Ibuki caught the eye of Asher Masanori Monet, and he adopted her as one of his many siblings.
Backstory (Inside of Karakura):
Ibuki fell in love with the animals of Karakura and has somewhat adopted a good portion of them. She attracted the attention of some people, but no one really has her heart like Xiomara does. She fell in love with Niko Hayashi, but she didn't enjoy that type of love he gave to her, so she moved on. After the death of her sister Onyx, she took on the position of being somewhat a mother figure in Yamil's life. She tries her best to keep her nephew away from the bad parts of Karakura. She soon fell pregnant with Yuka's children and excitedly said yes to his proposal. The saddest part about their relationship is that Xiomara will always be Ibuki's first love. Ibuki happily took her place in the medical wing of the Ketsueki Clan. She enjoys helping out and tending to small wounds. She surrounds herself with a loving group of people and couldn't be happier to have such a great supportive friend group. She trusts that they will shower her children in gifts and love.
