The safest of buildings, and the most trustworthy of people..but what if it isn’t always the case?
Earlier this month, a group of College Football Female members declared their fight against two EMS staff members. Reiko Oh, Sora Yatsugatake, and Won-young Masuo claimed to have gone to the hospital, only for a doctor and psychiatrist, remaining anonymous, that had been on duty during the unfortunate events, to stand by as Ms. Oh was allegedly assaulted by a student, for the second time. These events took place after Ms. Masuo had been treated for a broken nose, but Ms. Oh hadn’t for her injured hand.
This caused the group to begin to yell, causing the anonymous student, to fight back in hopes of stopping the group’s act, and landed a punch right onto Ms. Oh’s stomach.
When Sora Y. attempted to defend her friend, she was allegedly met with an attempt to mido and knock her unconscious by one of the emergency staff members, who was apparently not even in the room, and had only seen Ms. Y’s tackle against the student. Despite the failed attempt, the College students argue that it was still done with an intent to knock an innocent person down while an assault was taking place on hospital grounds.
Ms. Oh spoke to the publication, in a frustrated state, asking for the story to be published. “It feels insane!” She had said. “I ain’t even wanna press charges f’a bein’ assaulted, I just want fuckin’ justice! These people are meant’a protect us.” and that she was “Still not over the incident.” as none of the members of the group had deserved the way they were treated.
The group have stated that they asked for compensation before requesting a lawyer, and claimed that they were instead given the opportunity of being escorted by one of the staff to the Hospital to receive any treatment they needed. It has been said that while reporting this to a lawyer, who agreed that this could fall under Article 10, “All citizens have a right to protection from an EMS worker’s negligence.” It was later completely dropped, where the unknown lawyer claimed that the alleged, failed, mido attempt, there was no ground to sue the Doctor or Psychiatrist on.
Ms. Oh has asked the public to join their fight, stating “Join us! The more the merrier. With signs and confidence! Remember not to obstruct or deface any private property or roads, we want to keep our message strong!”
The student claims that she was told she was “unsure” of her want to be treated before the Ex-EMS staff had begun counting down from 5. Nora and two of her friends did not leave the premises, and Nora was allegedly mido’d once the Psychiatrist stopped counting.
The staff member then asked the other two to pick their friend up, even though one of them was on crutches, and the other could not pick up the female without help. Instead of helping the friend, the ex-psychiatrist allegedly carelessly picked up Ms. Inukai and dropped her on a random bench outside.
Ms. Inukai is now contacting lawyers to begin the process of suing the individual, and states that “No person should be questioned about their want for treatment, especially by the psychiatrist themselves.”
If you wish to join Ms. Oh’s fight for her rights, as she does not speak only for herself, but for everyone who has been shut down and silenced, then the group encourages you to protest for what you believe is right.
