Hello all!
Most of you probably don't even know who I am, so this is mostly for the select few who do and that I hadn't got the chance to bid my farewells to.
As of today, I'm officially retiring from srp. It's been a long several years since I first started as a greenie, and let me tell you, there were a TON of amazing (and less so) memories I made with this community. I may have gotten a bit too invested at times, but I very easily form attachments to fictional things so maybe I should have seen it coming. I'll miss the shena****ns I used to get into on the server, but I've gotten older and life has begun to take off - As much as I love how I used to spend time on srp, I also recognise that it can never really be the same as it was. So my time has come. Every story must eventually come to an end, and it seems that mine on srp has come full circle. I've become too inactive to spend any more time developing my roleplays, and as such, I decided to wrap things up at last.
I want to thank anyone who may have interacted with me along my srp journey, except those guys who jumped me as a greenie that one time like years ago, and the dude who scammed me 14k, and the other dude who also scammed me some large sum of money. I'll miss (most) all of you, even those of you who had no idea I found you important in my time here (cough... cough, Yakov, cough...).
I will likely still be on the forums from time to time, but I won't be returning to the server anymore. I'm so glad that I was able to be here for these past years, and I regret not keeping some of my relationships from a while ago. I appreciate all of you who knew me, thanks for the good times. :)
Some personal thanks (you'll know who you are, if you ever read this. Most people can just skip this...)
poopenfarten (Kelly! :) ) - You're a silly goose, I'll miss ya. I had a lot of fun getting to know you, sorry Anatoly was so annoying the whole time :). Thanks for putting up with his dramatics. I wish we could have expanded their relationship lore a bit more, but I'm so glad we had what we did.
Alex.... (xXWealthXx or whatever it is now) - Unfortunately, our characters left off on a bad note. Maybe next time dont take your mask off when you mug your friends for gang activity. I hope Alex has fun in jail, bozo. Anyway, you were fun to rp with, even though you would just go afk half the time. You're a strange duck. I'll remember you fondly.
Yunho, (thatgay) - You're superb. I missed you after you vanished. I'm not sure if you'll ever see this but I'm writing it anyway. I remember meeting you when you played Ada, and remember even more when you rizzed me as Yunho. You goofy guy. I'll miss you too.
YAKOV PLS - You're yakov, what else can I say. Ik i never really knew you or like even talked to you, but for a long time I looked up to you and I regret never attempting to approach and meet you. Stay cheekiy breekiy.
Ethan (TangentTopic) - I havent actually seen you on the server since like 1999, but I miss you so much D': . I waited for you for so long, and I still feel like tolya's heart lies with ethan ;-;. You were one of the most amazing people I met on the server, so nice and very enthusiastic! You made me feel comfortable even when I felt awkward and unsure. I'll miss you always.
SunBunnyAlpha - I loved all of the characters of yours that I got to meet! I'll forever remember scamming people with Brooklyn and doing poorly in Autumn(?)'s Japanese lessons. I'll miss you bunches, broski. You are a fun, amazing, kind person.
"The Sewer Rats" - To the small group who joined my old character in our little gang of sewer guides, you were one of my fundamental memories of this server. The sewer thing was one of my biggest memories before my second character era. I remember you all, even if I dont recall all of your characters' names. Good times.
If there was anyone else I didnt mention, it was because I'm too sleep deprived to remember things properly. I sincerely love you all, great times guys.
I would write something more poetic and cliche, but I really need to sleep so I'll go ahead and end this here. I've had a great time on srp, but it's my time to move on. Thank you all so much for sharing in these memories with me. I was never a well-known or recognized person, not much notable about me, but it was the people who shared moments with me anyway who made this time worth everything. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
If there's anything I hope you all remember, it's that life isnt about what you have or what you do. It's about those you share it with. We all need to log of at some point. When you do, remember what's important. Go out and see the sun. Drink some water and enjoy a hot meal. Listen to the sound of the rain on the roof. Appreciate the little things; it makes everything in life that much sweeter. And above all, love your family, or your found family, and your friends. If you happen to be having a bad day, look out your window and appreciate what you see around you. Every scene has its beauty, from a riverside view to a bustling cityscape. When you log off, remember to really live.
That's what I mean to do.
(well there goes the thing about poetic and cliche...)
