it's being fixed dawg, the devs aren't disabling all the plugins on purpose. complaining about the glitches is doing virtually nothing - trying to stabilize all these plugins for 1.9 versions forward is an overwhelming task, give them time

As Salty said, the devs we are extremely thankful to have are working hard to help the community by fixing the bugs. Rome wasn't built in a day, so an upgrade of this size won't be brought to glory in just a week.
