Fifteen years later, Xī'ān learned of her father’s death in a car accident and that her brother, Yû ChóngQìng, had inherited his fortune and become the head of the family. Determined to confront him, she revealed herself just as ChóngQìng was reading about the secret debt their father owed to the Triad. In that moment, Triad members burst in, overpowered him, and brought him to a secluded location where Xī'ān awaited, her expression sending shivers down his spine.
His own sister, now a high-ranking member of the Triad that had driven their father to madness, held him hostage. ChóngQìng shouted in vain, his cries muffled by duct tape. With her back turned, Xī'ān explained that the family debt would be lifted if they assisted the Triad in an expansion effort on a Japanese island called Karakura. However, the Triad would temporarily control the company to ensure compliance.
The deception was clear: the debt would never be forgiven, and the company would likely never return to them. ChóngQìng, however, had no choice; he was literally bound. After being taken back to his office, he was joined by a group preparing to set out for Karakura, with Xī'ān leading the operation.
Just when it seemed all hope was lost, ChóngQìng and Xī'ān began to communicate. Their initial struggles gave way to understanding, and Xī'ān finally learned the truth about her past. Gathering everyone at their headquarters, she announced a change of plans. The first blood of Jìng Yè Ēn would be shed there and then, as she called upon those opposed to her secret rebellion against the Triad to rise up. A few unfortunate souls were culled, and it became clear: it was time for the wolf to recognize her identity in a pen of pigs. Reaching out to her allies in Karakura, Xī'ān began to forge
Jìng Yè Ēn.
