What's your suggestion?:
I suggest that maybe joining gangs should be more accessible for players who cant use discord - maybe making the forms to join gangs accessible from OnRain.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
A lot of people don't have discord for either safety reasons, their parents don't let them have it or they just don't want it. Either way, allowing applications onto OnRain would not only make them easier to join, it would also benefit new players who don't have access to jobs nor discord.

It’s one thing for the applications to be on the forums or Onrain but Discord is also used for organization purposes; there your can find rules, formats, announcements, etc etc. it’d be quite hard to do that where VIA Onrain it’s primarily text, you wouldn’t be able to post things like activity in a group chat, and since it’s an ICLY platform, you wouldn’t be able to place OOCly information in there.. While it COULD be possible on forums.. it’s not exactly reliable to have to make a new thread post for everything, along with general communication.

Onrain shouldn't be used for Criminal activity, its a PUBLIC FORUM that the police can use to arrest people if they are caught breaking the laws. But discord is how we all communicate and keep things organized like Mist said

It is unfortunate, but Discord is nearly essential for GangRP communication. Even gangs that rely on THEE MOST RP-driven stuff--such as Masahiko (plug)-- must utilize Discord to a large extent.

This isn't really fitting for a suggestion given that it comes down to gangs to do this optionally— I have seen a couple of people who don't have access to Discord be a part of crime organisations before.

Discord honestly shouldn't be used for anything other than private OOC communication between gangs, a forum section for gang info would work just fine, let the rest be found out ICly.

-1 You should just get discord mobile if you dont want it on your PC & Its quite impossible to fix your issue without involving discord, simply dont enter any other discords other than gangrp ones, if its safety you're worried about.

Nothing against it, its just not possible unless you have alternative (Onrain like someone said shouldn’t be used for that)

-1 Your discord account doesn't need to contain any personal information. If your parents won't let you communicate for a game, that sucks, but I don't think it should be accommodated for. If they don't approve of discord, they probably wouldn't even approve of this server in general if they knew how much chatting was in it. Discord is EXTREMELY accessible, popular, and convenient.

Honestly, discord doesn’t HAVE to be used at all. In fact, you could make a gang and don’t have to use discord at all. It’s totally up to you. However, majority of the server uses discord because it’s convenient and useful when it comes to keeping things organized, announcing events, and so many other things. You are not obligated to have a gang that needs a discord server. As I mentioned earlier, you can make a gang that doesn’t need discord to get members. The best option you can do for OOC communication wise is to make a group chat on the forums with your members. Then for ICLY conversation wise you can make a group chat on OnRain and will be able to communicate on the website when you’re not on the server AND through your phone in-game when you’re on the server. Trust me there are ways you can be in a gang without discord, even though it’s highly recommended to have the platform it’s still possible to be in one without it. I know theres limitations if you don’t have discord but most limits you come across there is sometimes a way around it to make it possible for yourself.
