What will this guide cover?
This guide offers a deeper look into complex story-writing. This will also give a simpler explanation to each category for those with less experience looking to get into such as there are various ways for people to contribute towards the server with their writing on top of their own roleplay improving. This will make your character all-the-more interesting to roleplay for you but also for others to interact with.

1.A Concept
Before writing any type of story, the overall concept must be determined. This is to ensure the absolute consistency and point of reference that the story will follow. In short, these concepts will take the wheel of the narrative, driving such down the path you choose. I will split these concepts into two separate categories.
Generic Concepts
Generic concepts are ideas that can be interpreted in many ways, leaving room for great development but also making the storyboarding process more complex as more is to be decided.
Example:
‘The man with the power to save the world’
This is a generic concept, due to it’s lack of detail and room for decisions. What is the power? How can it save the world? Why does he have it? These are only few of many questions that generic concepts allow, giving room for great plot.
Rooted Concepts
Rooted concepts are concepts that hold a specific degree of relevance to one area. Taking the concept prior of a man with the power to save the world, tweaking the words and details will give us a more rooted idea.
Example:
‘The controlling of time at the man’s fingertips, left to save the world upon a tragic outbreak.’
This is far more complex as it sets the issue, the power, and allows the readers to pre-determine theories of how the character will work around his scenario. There is a clearly defined set of details that allow for an easier yet also more complex writing experience.
For this guide, I will use aforementioned concepts to help cover each oncoming area.
