What's the title of your suggestion?: Make new players spawn with a guide to the server

What's your suggestion?:
Make new players spawn with a guide to the server. Basically a guide that explains the basics and then there is links to different guides on the forum.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Currently as far as I know new players just spawn with 2 stacks of apples and a GPS. Another thing is that some if not most of the people who join the server skip the tutorial. Also when you join a server you usually check your inventory to see if there is anything in it that has been already given to you by the server itself, so if new players spawned with the guide in their inventory there is a high chance that they will see it, get curious about it and read it or at least look at it to see whats written inside. And yes there are guides on the forums but not all new players might know that the server has a forum. Plus the guide would include links to different guides on the forums because having a lot of things in one book can be overwhelming and hard for someone new to understand because there is just so much new information. So having just the basics written out and then links to guides on the forum would make it understandable and the player then can visit the guides on the forum whenever they want and learn it at their own pace.

/tutorial exists, Maybe when you join for the first time it could tell you to speak toTom Brown and Tom Brown can tell them about the /tutorial command

Not all people might know about the tutorial command so maybe a message in chat that told you about it could be nice but then again I am not sure how many people would actually use the command and do the tutorial. I made this suggestion because I felt like this could help new players and making the tutorial mandatory probably isn't the best solution either. Also you can check the guide anytime you want same goes for the tutorial but as for the tutorial you would have to do the entire thing again however with the guide you can just go to the thing your looking for and won't have to go trough the entire thing. While yes you would need to read a bit to find the thing your looking for but after you have found it you can just close it however with the tutorial you would have to wait for it to end.

If I remember correctly, unless it has changed in recent times, you automatically spawn in a small tutorial area before you spawn at plaza. There is also now tom at plaza who helps as well and if you've not done the 'quest' with him anytime you're near him he pops up in your chat.

That's incorrect. I purchased an alt like a month ago and got neither. Please have to actually CLICK on Tom to start a small tutorial where you understand /looc, /me, /mel, /mec, /w and /y, which barely covers the basics.

When I first joined SRP I spawned in a room that gave me the option to do the tutorial or just go straight to plaza. I think that is still the case today so you might be refering to that because I have not heard of a tutorial area.
