Finster is right, the server is currently on 1.21.1 however if you want to double down on mods, I recommend going for version 1.21 as you're given more variety of mods to use to enhance your SRP experience.

You are not required to use any mods for this server! However, you are more than free to use mods if you wish to do so, as long as they don't violate any of the rules (3.3, 3.3a, 3.3b). There are a few mods that the community has recommended in the Forums, so if you are interested in them, then I'll say to give them a shot.

TL;DR- No. The server doesn't ask you to install any mods!
