What follows is the biography of Harry Shima. He’s been my main character for over 5 years now, and through him I’ve experienced the strange world of Karakura and all the people in it.
Disclaimer: Both OOCly and ICly, Harry and I are quite forgetful, so if there is anything or anyone I haven’t mentioned I simply have forgotten!

1. Introduction
Harry Shima, originally going by the name of Harry Berwyn, is a Welsh immigrant from the United Kingdom. He has lived in Karakura and since he was 12, having attended all grades at Karakura Highschool. He’s currently studying at Karakura College, majoring in Computer Science.
He’s been around for many years now, having experienced many different parts of Karakuran life and meeting all manner of people. In this Biography I’ll try my best to finally put these experiences to paper, and to help you learn about this tall British boy.

3. Physical Appearance
Harry could be described as an average white man, if you ignore his main defining characteristic of course. That being his one remaining right blue eye, that story will be told later in this biography.
Harry’s hair has been the biggest form of expression he’s been brave enough to play with. He began with his natural hair colour of brown, then for about a month he added splashes of blonde to it, small highlights. Then after an unfortunate run in with his ex girlfriend and her teammates, he was forced to bleach some lime green paint of his hair and live with bright white hair for 2 weeks. After being mistaken for being an old man too many times, he finally returned back to his blonde hair. A few months past before of course, his hair changed colour again. It now brandishes a light grey splodge over his left side, like a stain over natural brown hair that has made a return. Despite many assumptions, this is not a purposeful addition, and was an unfortunate side effect of a certain .. loss he's experienced recently.
He has many different outfits, but one jumper has remained very special to him. That being his red, white and blue striped jumper. He’s worn that poor thing to death, so if you spot him in it, that’s been his from the very beginning.

4. Strengths and Weaknesses
Harry’s been tried and tested many times, where often his strengths and weaknesses have had their chance to show their true colours. Below is a list of a few key attributes to Harry, ones that may not always be present, or may be stronger than others.
Strengths
Loyalty and Persistence
If one things for sure, once Harry sets his mind to something, he’ll never let it go. Sometimes this is a good thing, like with his persistence with his close friends such as Sachiko or Seren Fowler. The incredibly amount of ups and downs that those three have experienced together, however with dedication and persistence, they've all come through together and closer than ever. However sometimes lost causes can be pursued, such as one Teresa Keating. Harry always tried to remain close to her, where all others had abandoned her originally, Harry tried to remain by her side. But when it was revealed that Teresa was only using Harry for her own agendas, Harry had to sever that connection, much to the pain of his hear.
Lawful
Harry always tries to pride himself with remaining lawful, never fully leaning into one point of view or one ideal. Whether it be Occult Club matters and preventing a jump to conclusions, or if he's offering his opinion on 'other' matters with his friends. He's often found himself feeling like the only sane person in his friend group, where others would throw themselves into the ring under the guise of 'Rather me then my friends', Harry will look for ways to avoid situations entirely.
Caring
While a fairly basic and, often viewed as, a standard personalty trait, it’s still something that should be reiterated. As I’ll talk about in the weakness section, Harry often trusts first and doubts later, his first impression of people is always one of kindness, attempting to see good in people first before their true colours are revealed.
House Husband / Chef
One key thing Harry prides himself on is his cooking ability. He’s always been fond of cooking, but since joining La Casa where he was able to become a chef his ability has skyrocketed! It's a rare thing that Harry has been able to show off, but whenever he gets the chance, he relishes in it!
Weaknesses
Forgetful/Airheaded
One of Harry’s biggest faults currently is his forgetfulness. Through no fault of his own he often forgets people that he’s met, things he’s done or things he’s learnt. It's affected the trust that many people have in him, where they may turn to others to solve problems, viewing Harry as simply a second thought, or second option. He's been trying to take more notes, and seek assistance and overall better this fault he has.
Lacking Confidence/Fear of Abandonment
These two tie in together. The former stemming from the latter, where due to early life trauma, it's left Harry with a crippling lack of self confidence. This is evident in discussion of important topics, where the fear of his opinions instantly being shut down is ever present, and the knock on effect of his exclusion from said group. What if you make a fool of yourself? If you had none of these titles, would they even still speak to you? Why does no one text me first? These are all questions that spin through his mind each day. Soon he'll release how irrational they are, and how safe and surrounded he is by friends and loved ones.
Trusts first, doubts later
Several times Harry has found himself interacting with dangerous people or evil spirits and finding himself attempting to trust first, then doubt later. It’s a nice gesture from Harry, one that tries to view people as kind and good hearted. However in a place like Karakura, this can often lead to bad outcomes.
Awful at sports
Due to his single eye, and poor hand eye coordination, playing in high octane physical sports is hell for Harry! He's not the fittest of lads, and any attempt at sport is always to end badly.

5. Relationships and Family
Family
Ms. Ishida
The first name of Harry’s mother has sadly been lost to time, making it extremely hard for Harry to find her, but he knows deep in his heart that if he is to see her, he’d recognise her instantly. Sadly due to Harry’s father’s relationship with his mother, she left when Harry was 8. He doesn’t remember much more about her, other than the chocolate cake she made on his 7th birthday was the best he’d ever eaten.
Mr Berwyn
A drunk, angry, deteriorating old man with too much going on in his head, Harry’s father was one for Harry to forget. One might pity him for learning why he is the way he is, yet hearing about what he did to the small clan of three, tearing them apart, you might just change your opinion.
Brooklyn Shima
Harry’s current adoptive mother. She’s real sweetheart, but sadly Harry doesn’t see her often. Whenever she’s home he enjoys her outstanding cooking skills.
April G. Sang-eo
Harry’s half-blood related sister. Ironically she was part of the reason why Harry moved to Karakura in the first place. Yet learning that she came here specifically to find him, it reignited his inner brotherly protective self and he treats her with as much love and care as a brother should.
Bonnie Shima
Harry’s adoptive sister. She was the first person Harry interacted with when he joined the Shima clan. Since then she’s been a close family friend, sharing a few feuds, fights and deep chats. He’s helped her through many issues in the past, yet Harry doesn’t see her nearly as much as he should.
Miyako “Maki” Shima
Too overprotective for her own good, the adopted older sister Miyaki. She’s gone down a certain road in life that’s given her some of the strongest maternal instincts ever. One might see that as a good thing, however Harry sees it as overbearing and controlling. She means well at the end of the day, sharing Harry’s one eye’d vision.
YeJoon Shima
His adopted little bro! A smile is always on Harry’s face when he sees this little man, despite him being a few years older than him. He’d always see YeJoon as a younger brother.
Rockwell Shima
A mysterious old man, an ex-professor too. Harry doesn’t speak to his adoptive uncle much, although when he does, it’s often a life lesson being forced into his brain.
Close Friends
The following are who Harry could trust with almost anything, intentional or not, this list is fairly small.
Tiffany Takagi (Fiance)
I don’t think many people saw this coming. Yet that chance encounter at the shrine, set off a turn of events that will forever mould who Harry is. Through amazing highs and shocking lows, despite all that, Harry has earnt the privilege to call Tiffany his girlfriend. It’s almost like a strange fate, that a nerdy, awkward Occult fanatic manages to steal the heart of a stern, tsundere Takagi. Harry doesn’t often like to speak about his own personal feelings, or issues. He regularly deems them unimportant, yet with Tiffany he feels like any barrier is broken, any mould that he had to fill is shattered. She truly is something that he could confide in with anything. Harry truly loves Tiffany with all his heart, and if he ruins this, I’m not sure what Harry would do.
Sachiko Saiky
She started off as a friend of a friend, someone that started hanging out with the friend group. Then a chance suggestion and a lucky replacement landed Harry as her personal Saiky Attendant. The role was to be someone who could do the smaller tasks that their Saiky would forget, laundry, cleaning, tidying, and also keeping any secrets learnt close and tight. What started as a just another title, became a very tight relationship, where Harry always made sure to be a solid pillar for Sachiko to lean on when she needed him, not bound by any complicated romantic interest, friendship or other. A reliable and trustworthy assistant. As Sachiko trusted Harry more, Harry trusted her more, and she slowly became one of his closest friends, someone who he could say anything to, and know for a fact that she'd keep it a secret
Mei Miura
A bit of a curious case. Harry always attempts to interact with Mei, yet just never finds the right subject nor time to chat. Mei is always involved in his own story, his own plot and is always too busy to spend any time on the usual activities you might see a 22 year old partake in. This deeply troubles Harry, he cares a lot for Mei, but it's hard to compete for quality time when Mei spends it with his many lovers and many enemies (often it's hard to discern which is which). Despite this, Harry always tries to be there for Mei when he needs it, similar to Sachiko, attempting to be that pillar of normality, available when needed.
Friends
Due to how extensive this list may be, below are simply those that Harry sees on a regular basis, or those that he would happy to approach and chat to. The list is in no particular order.
Nessa I. Kiselyova
Ness or Vanessa is one of Harry’s oldest friends on this list. Back when he moved to Karakura, he began asking around to stay at various people’s places. At the young age of 16, he came across Vanessa who somehow had a spare room. Friendships, quarrels, love interests and much more were to follow, with Harry and Vanessa by each other’s side. They don’t talk nearly as much as they should, yet Harry still recognises her as one of the OGs.
Sumi Ishida
Up until recently, this friendly relationship had just been discovered to be more than that. Through some digging and family records, Sumi Ishida was found to be Harry’s half cousin, Harry’s mother’s maiden name being stark proof of that. These two have grown just a bit closer since then, a trip to see Sumi’s grandparents still in the works to this day.
Niibu Rabenda
The moment Harry saw this shy and timid Priest at the shrine one day, he knew he had to get to know him. Harry tried to show Niibu confidence, and help him get offer his fear of human contact. After many shrine visits, chats and interactions it became clear what their relationship was turning into. And one day, as a bit of a joke, Harry referred to Niibu as ‘Dad’. Since then, Niibu has been a father figure to Harry, Niibu often referring to Harry as his son. Each time Harry hears himself being called that, it feels him with warmth nothing else can describe. After not having a father for 9 years, finally being called “Son” can break anyone.
Seren Fowler
Harry's welsh mate.Yet another curious case where Harry sees Seren as a friend, and gets occasional hints that Seren shares that friendship, but it's very often brought into question time and time again. Seren is blunt, straight to the point, harsh and rude, yet something tells me Seren is actually doing it for the greater good, and some part of Seren does care for Harry. Some .. very tiny .. small .. barely visible .. part.
Erik Finster
One Harry treats almost like a younger nerdy brother. Harry would definitely invite Erik over to family dinners if Harry ever had such an occasion. Each interaction Harry has with Erik is a joy and a wholesome time, and it’s something he wishes he does more often.
Pomona Belov
A very recent friend, one that's suddenly emerged as a very active member and new applicant of the Occult Club. Due to her sharing Harry's same mono-vision, he felt drawn to interact with her. As they've spoke more and more, Harry has found his own views align with hers, often finding her to be one he could trust and converse with on many subjects. Yet he feels at times like he hardly knows her, and wonders if she trusts him as much as he trusts her.
Katsuhito Saiky-Akihito
He speaks in riddles. Harry, like his relationship with Mei, doesn’t quite know where he stands with Katsuhito. He’s unaware if he’s simply one of many associates that Katsuhito speaks to, or a close friend. Call it Harry’s lack of confidence, but he doesn’t want to assume anything bigger of himself. Although after hearing Katsuhito’s reasoning to why he calls Harry ‘Starlight’ was a strange revelation. Aside from that, Harry does relate strangely to Katsuhito in looks, in previous months they've both sharing their blonde hair and single eye. Harry is certainly curious about this man and often seeks him out for a chat.
Maila Paek
Harry’s Ex-Girlfriend. This was Harry’s first attempt at a serious relationship, and of course it fell through. Many lessons were learnt and experiences had, and although they parted ways as friends, they don’t speak much at all.
Charlotte O’Sullivan
The Grey Haired Maiden. He'll never forget her. He was a helpless watcher to her decline, as her soul actively ate her from the inside. He wished he spent more time with her, wished he showed her how he truly felt all those years ago. Did he make the most of the time he spent with her? Does he regret anything? This is someone he'll likely never forget, and she made sure of that by playing a part in the light grey splodge of hair currently staining his left side.
Mirandolina Kuldoni
Regrettably, Mira is someone that Harry neglects. She’s a lost girl that doesn’t have many friends, nor a home at all. It appears at times that Harry is all Mira has, yet Harry doesn’t give her anywhere near the attention she deserves. Harry needs to work on this before Mira does something silly to someone, or herself.
Ben Yamatasha and Felicity Yamatasha
What started off as a constant feeling of being watched, regularly looking over his shoulder and seeing these two siblings always watching Harry from afar, turned into a very strange and often frantic friendship. Or is it even a friendship? Harry doesn't know with these two sometimes, it's hard to know what's going on inside their heads. But still, they're fun to hang out with, and Ben having the largest fascination with Harry's Occult Club interests and Ghostbuster cosplay.
Yuma Mori-Deluca
Somehow Harry once found himself stood next to the Deputy Mayor at a shift in 11/7. After a quick chat they soon become good friends! Harry sees her as a lovely older lady, like the relationship you’d have with one of your mother’s friends. He rarely gets the time to speak with her and sometimes worries he floods her with too many questions at times.
C. Hachiyanagi
Harry’s one air headed friend. Hachi always seems to be on another planet each time they meet, regularly zoning out. Hachi is more often than not the third wheel to Harry and Tiffany when hanging out. It’s rare for Harry to be with Hachi one on one, but those few times definitely haven’t been unpleasant.
Zankokuna Ai
Harry's reliable Assistant Lead! These two have shared a few chats now, Zankokuna has slowly become a closer friend. Harry's had to rely on this tall man for a few club related matters, and often finds him to be one of the more level headed and caring friends in his immediate friendship group.
Tatsumi Tojo
Tatsumi to Harry, seems like an older, wise and kind man, the walking cane adds to that image. Tatsumi seems like he’s 40 years older than he actually is, yet in the nicest way possible. He’s such a caring person, and someone who Harry holds dear to him and wishes to protect at all costs.
Difficult Ones
Himari Hattori
This is a man who Harry has known for quite some time now, and mostly now only speaks to the man due to his relationship with Mei Miura. Himari only makes Harry feel one thing, uncomfortable. He never knows what's going through that man's head. Ever since Harry learnt that Himari enjoys seeing others in pain, and enjoys pain, Harry has been weary of him ever since. Himari can be blunt and rude to Harry, yet in other times incredibly caring and attentive. It confuses Harry, and it makes it feel ungenuine, like it's to take advantage of him. Harry tries his best to put this aside simply due to his friendship with Mei Miura, perhaps Harry and Himari aren't a good match?
Enemies
Teresa Keating
Once a great friend, a close companion and a trustworthy peer, that was soon swallowed by her own greed and lust. She pushed away everyone she held dear in search of that one person. Harry was caught in the crossfire, being one of the last to still extend his arm out to her. After learning that she was using Harry to further her goal in re-gaining Mei Miura, and that Harry would not help her, she cut him off completely. Since then, there's only been one murder attempt on Harry's life, involving placing poison inside a drink, severely swelling up Harry's throat. He was rather lucky to survive. Teresa was never directly linked but.. it was heavily implied.
6. Key Events (Post Immigration)
The following is a list of event’s post immigration to Karakura. My own memory from Grades 7-12 for Harry are fairly hazy, but I will try my best to recall some!
Truth or Dare in someone else’s house
One of Harry’s earliest memories was likely around Grade 9-10, before ownership of houses. Harry and his group of friends would frequently go to their own claimed home, one that they shared together. The most regular activity was playing a simple game of Truth or Dare around the living room table. Times were simple back then, where the only thing Harry feared was to kiss or confess to any of the other girls around the table.
Moving in with Vanessa
After struggling to afford rent for his own place, Harry went around asking to bunk with any Karakuran he could find. Not the smartest of strategies, but surprisingly ending successful for him. Vanessa was a fellow student, one that was struggling with rent too. So they reached an agreement to split the rent evenly, and thus began their friendship!
Joining the Shima Family (Formerly Mochizuki)
What was first a chance encounter and a short fling with a girl, eventually landed Harry a spot in the Mochizuki family. One headed by a woman named Faelon Mochizuki, the once Head Chef at the Highschool. This was a small but blossoming family (see what I did there?), one definitely caught Harry’s eye. What followed was a lot of drama and experiences. Fighting with his sister Bonnie, wholesome times with his brother YeJoon and his mother Fae always being there to put things back together again. This family definitely become a solid pillar in Harry’s personality, giving him family members that would always be there for him.
Losing his eye
A major definitely moment in Harry’s life, one that literally shaped his vision forever. There was once a man named James Pretzel. He was a strange man, blind in both eyes, definitely unstable mentally and more often than not would terrorise Harry’s sister, Bonnie. So naturally Harry would confront James, insulting one of James’ very beliefs. The believe in the Donut God. Stay with me here .. but James was part of a Donut Cult, where they worshipped donuts and praised the Donut God. Now after Harry insulted James’ precious god, James vowed that Harry would see things differently soon, Harry of course didn’t know what that meant …
Harry’s never decided to get a fake eye, he believed his eye has been the making of him, one that he shouldn’t attempt to hide or run away from. But embrace, and be thankful that the donut god something gave him mercy that day.
From KPIS to The Occult Club
The KPIS or Karakura Paranormal Investigation Society was Harry’s old passion project, formed around March 2024. This was peaked by Harry’s newfound passion for exploration of the island, learning about old Japanese folklore and occasionally meeting a few spirits! This club was very unofficial, currently just a group of friends. However he eventually wanted to apply for it to become an official school club! But one day, as he was walking around campus, there was an intercom message, a teacher advertising the new formation of the official “Occult Club”. Harry knew he had to get through that door.
After a meeting with the nerdy and stuttery club leader, Erik Finster, and after a few months waiting, on the 26th June 2024 Harry was accepted to the Occult Club! The Occult Club would become Harry’s primary focus for the foreseeable future and my OOCly biggest reason to keep playing. Through excursions to abandoned railway stations, interactions with demons and spirts, to the unforgettable October of ‘24, this club is and continues to be the most fun I have on the server, and has introduced Harry to many friends and pals.
Student Council
A fairly recent venture for Harry, after a joking comment from a friend he decided to look into it. Harry’s always wanted to be part of a faction, but he’s not very sporty and many of the teams frankly scare him. So the student council seemed the perfect fit! He’s found it to be a great time, making a few new friends like Himari and some friendly enemies like the HS-President Emma Emerson. Much like the Occult Club, he’s seeing this as quite a long term commitment, it’s slowly becoming part of his character. A few people regularly refer to Harry as “Councillor Shima”
7. Lore (Pre-Karakura)

8. The Future
Anything can happen in this town, and a lot has happened since I last updated this biography. Harry's currently on his second term of Club Lead for the Occult Club, permanently stamping his name in it's history, he's got himself a high-knit group of friends and a lot of responsibilities. He still has his doubts and fears, yet feels more supported than ever.
Currently he has no plans, perhaps to join the shrine or to become a professor maybe, but currently the Occult Club is his biggest passion, and he relishes every opportunity he has to be it's leader!

Forgetful/Airheaded
One of Harry’s biggest faults currently is his forgetfulness. Through no fault of his own he often forgets people that he’s met, things he’s done or things he’s learnt. It's affected the trust that many people have in him, where they may turn to others to solve problems, viewing Harry as simply a second thought, or second option. He's been trying to take more notes, and seek assistance and overall better this fault he has.
Lacking Confidence/Fear of Abandonment
These two tie in together. The former stemming from the latter, where due to early life trauma, it's left Harry with a crippling lack of self confidence. This is evident in discussion of important topics, where the fear of his opinions instantly being shut down is ever present, and the knock on effect of his exclusion from said group. What if you make a fool of yourself? If you had none of these titles, would they even still speak to you? Why does no one text me first? These are all questions that spin through his mind each day. Soon he'll release how irrational they are, and how safe and surrounded he is by friends and loved ones.
Trusts first, doubts later
Several times Harry has found himself interacting with dangerous people or evil spirits and finding himself attempting to trust first, then doubt later. It’s a nice gesture from Harry, one that tries to view people as kind and good hearted. However in a place like Karakura, this can often lead to bad outcomes.
Awful at sports
Due to his single eye, and poor hand eye coordination, playing in high octane physical sports is hell for Harry! He's not the fittest of lads, and any attempt at sport is always to end badly.

5. Relationships and Family
Family
Ms. Ishida
The first name of Harry’s mother has sadly been lost to time, making it extremely hard for Harry to find her, but he knows deep in his heart that if he is to see her, he’d recognise her instantly. Sadly due to Harry’s father’s relationship with his mother, she left when Harry was 8. He doesn’t remember much more about her, other than the chocolate cake she made on his 7th birthday was the best he’d ever eaten.
Mr Berwyn
A drunk, angry, deteriorating old man with too much going on in his head, Harry’s father was one for Harry to forget. One might pity him for learning why he is the way he is, yet hearing about what he did to the small clan of three, tearing them apart, you might just change your opinion.
Brooklyn Shima
Harry’s current adoptive mother. She’s real sweetheart, but sadly Harry doesn’t see her often. Whenever she’s home he enjoys her outstanding cooking skills.
April G. Sang-eo
Harry’s half-blood related sister. Ironically she was part of the reason why Harry moved to Karakura in the first place. Yet learning that she came here specifically to find him, it reignited his inner brotherly protective self and he treats her with as much love and care as a brother should.
Bonnie Shima
Harry’s adoptive sister. She was the first person Harry interacted with when he joined the Shima clan. Since then she’s been a close family friend, sharing a few feuds, fights and deep chats. He’s helped her through many issues in the past, yet Harry doesn’t see her nearly as much as he should.
Miyako “Maki” Shima
Too overprotective for her own good, the adopted older sister Miyaki. She’s gone down a certain road in life that’s given her some of the strongest maternal instincts ever. One might see that as a good thing, however Harry sees it as overbearing and controlling. She means well at the end of the day, sharing Harry’s one eye’d vision.
YeJoon Shima
His adopted little bro! A smile is always on Harry’s face when he sees this little man, despite him being a few years older than him. He’d always see YeJoon as a younger brother.
Rockwell Shima
A mysterious old man, an ex-professor too. Harry doesn’t speak to his adoptive uncle much, although when he does, it’s often a life lesson being forced into his brain.
Close Friends
The following are who Harry could trust with almost anything, intentional or not, this list is fairly small.
Tiffany Takagi (Fiance)
I don’t think many people saw this coming. Yet that chance encounter at the shrine, set off a turn of events that will forever mould who Harry is. Through amazing highs and shocking lows, despite all that, Harry has earnt the privilege to call Tiffany his girlfriend. It’s almost like a strange fate, that a nerdy, awkward Occult fanatic manages to steal the heart of a stern, tsundere Takagi. Harry doesn’t often like to speak about his own personal feelings, or issues. He regularly deems them unimportant, yet with Tiffany he feels like any barrier is broken, any mould that he had to fill is shattered. She truly is something that he could confide in with anything. Harry truly loves Tiffany with all his heart, and if he ruins this, I’m not sure what Harry would do.
Sachiko Saiky
She started off as a friend of a friend, someone that started hanging out with the friend group. Then a chance suggestion and a lucky replacement landed Harry as her personal Saiky Attendant. The role was to be someone who could do the smaller tasks that their Saiky would forget, laundry, cleaning, tidying, and also keeping any secrets learnt close and tight. What started as a just another title, became a very tight relationship, where Harry always made sure to be a solid pillar for Sachiko to lean on when she needed him, not bound by any complicated romantic interest, friendship or other. A reliable and trustworthy assistant. As Sachiko trusted Harry more, Harry trusted her more, and she slowly became one of his closest friends, someone who he could say anything to, and know for a fact that she'd keep it a secret
Mei Miura
A bit of a curious case. Harry always attempts to interact with Mei, yet just never finds the right subject nor time to chat. Mei is always involved in his own story, his own plot and is always too busy to spend any time on the usual activities you might see a 22 year old partake in. This deeply troubles Harry, he cares a lot for Mei, but it's hard to compete for quality time when Mei spends it with his many lovers and many enemies (often it's hard to discern which is which). Despite this, Harry always tries to be there for Mei when he needs it, similar to Sachiko, attempting to be that pillar of normality, available when needed.
Friends
Due to how extensive this list may be, below are simply those that Harry sees on a regular basis, or those that he would happy to approach and chat to. The list is in no particular order.
Nessa I. Kiselyova
Ness or Vanessa is one of Harry’s oldest friends on this list. Back when he moved to Karakura, he began asking around to stay at various people’s places. At the young age of 16, he came across Vanessa who somehow had a spare room. Friendships, quarrels, love interests and much more were to follow, with Harry and Vanessa by each other’s side. They don’t talk nearly as much as they should, yet Harry still recognises her as one of the OGs.
Sumi Ishida
Up until recently, this friendly relationship had just been discovered to be more than that. Through some digging and family records, Sumi Ishida was found to be Harry’s half cousin, Harry’s mother’s maiden name being stark proof of that. These two have grown just a bit closer since then, a trip to see Sumi’s grandparents still in the works to this day.
Niibu Rabenda
The moment Harry saw this shy and timid Priest at the shrine one day, he knew he had to get to know him. Harry tried to show Niibu confidence, and help him get offer his fear of human contact. After many shrine visits, chats and interactions it became clear what their relationship was turning into. And one day, as a bit of a joke, Harry referred to Niibu as ‘Dad’. Since then, Niibu has been a father figure to Harry, Niibu often referring to Harry as his son. Each time Harry hears himself being called that, it feels him with warmth nothing else can describe. After not having a father for 9 years, finally being called “Son” can break anyone.
Seren Fowler
Harry's welsh mate.Yet another curious case where Harry sees Seren as a friend, and gets occasional hints that Seren shares that friendship, but it's very often brought into question time and time again. Seren is blunt, straight to the point, harsh and rude, yet something tells me Seren is actually doing it for the greater good, and some part of Seren does care for Harry. Some .. very tiny .. small .. barely visible .. part.
Erik Finster
One Harry treats almost like a younger nerdy brother. Harry would definitely invite Erik over to family dinners if Harry ever had such an occasion. Each interaction Harry has with Erik is a joy and a wholesome time, and it’s something he wishes he does more often.
Pomona Belov
A very recent friend, one that's suddenly emerged as a very active member and new applicant of the Occult Club. Due to her sharing Harry's same mono-vision, he felt drawn to interact with her. As they've spoke more and more, Harry has found his own views align with hers, often finding her to be one he could trust and converse with on many subjects. Yet he feels at times like he hardly knows her, and wonders if she trusts him as much as he trusts her.
Katsuhito Saiky-Akihito
He speaks in riddles. Harry, like his relationship with Mei, doesn’t quite know where he stands with Katsuhito. He’s unaware if he’s simply one of many associates that Katsuhito speaks to, or a close friend. Call it Harry’s lack of confidence, but he doesn’t want to assume anything bigger of himself. Although after hearing Katsuhito’s reasoning to why he calls Harry ‘Starlight’ was a strange revelation. Aside from that, Harry does relate strangely to Katsuhito in looks, in previous months they've both sharing their blonde hair and single eye. Harry is certainly curious about this man and often seeks him out for a chat.
Maila Paek
Harry’s Ex-Girlfriend. This was Harry’s first attempt at a serious relationship, and of course it fell through. Many lessons were learnt and experiences had, and although they parted ways as friends, they don’t speak much at all.
Charlotte O’Sullivan
The Grey Haired Maiden. He'll never forget her. He was a helpless watcher to her decline, as her soul actively ate her from the inside. He wished he spent more time with her, wished he showed her how he truly felt all those years ago. Did he make the most of the time he spent with her? Does he regret anything? This is someone he'll likely never forget, and she made sure of that by playing a part in the light grey splodge of hair currently staining his left side.
Mirandolina Kuldoni
Regrettably, Mira is someone that Harry neglects. She’s a lost girl that doesn’t have many friends, nor a home at all. It appears at times that Harry is all Mira has, yet Harry doesn’t give her anywhere near the attention she deserves. Harry needs to work on this before Mira does something silly to someone, or herself.
Ben Yamatasha and Felicity Yamatasha
What started off as a constant feeling of being watched, regularly looking over his shoulder and seeing these two siblings always watching Harry from afar, turned into a very strange and often frantic friendship. Or is it even a friendship? Harry doesn't know with these two sometimes, it's hard to know what's going on inside their heads. But still, they're fun to hang out with, and Ben having the largest fascination with Harry's Occult Club interests and Ghostbuster cosplay.
Yuma Mori-Deluca
Somehow Harry once found himself stood next to the Deputy Mayor at a shift in 11/7. After a quick chat they soon become good friends! Harry sees her as a lovely older lady, like the relationship you’d have with one of your mother’s friends. He rarely gets the time to speak with her and sometimes worries he floods her with too many questions at times.
C. Hachiyanagi
Harry’s one air headed friend. Hachi always seems to be on another planet each time they meet, regularly zoning out. Hachi is more often than not the third wheel to Harry and Tiffany when hanging out. It’s rare for Harry to be with Hachi one on one, but those few times definitely haven’t been unpleasant.
Zankokuna Ai
Harry's reliable Assistant Lead! These two have shared a few chats now, Zankokuna has slowly become a closer friend. Harry's had to rely on this tall man for a few club related matters, and often finds him to be one of the more level headed and caring friends in his immediate friendship group.
Tatsumi Tojo
Tatsumi to Harry, seems like an older, wise and kind man, the walking cane adds to that image. Tatsumi seems like he’s 40 years older than he actually is, yet in the nicest way possible. He’s such a caring person, and someone who Harry holds dear to him and wishes to protect at all costs.
Difficult Ones
Himari Hattori
This is a man who Harry has known for quite some time now, and mostly now only speaks to the man due to his relationship with Mei Miura. Himari only makes Harry feel one thing, uncomfortable. He never knows what's going through that man's head. Ever since Harry learnt that Himari enjoys seeing others in pain, and enjoys pain, Harry has been weary of him ever since. Himari can be blunt and rude to Harry, yet in other times incredibly caring and attentive. It confuses Harry, and it makes it feel ungenuine, like it's to take advantage of him. Harry tries his best to put this aside simply due to his friendship with Mei Miura, perhaps Harry and Himari aren't a good match?
Enemies
Teresa Keating
Once a great friend, a close companion and a trustworthy peer, that was soon swallowed by her own greed and lust. She pushed away everyone she held dear in search of that one person. Harry was caught in the crossfire, being one of the last to still extend his arm out to her. After learning that she was using Harry to further her goal in re-gaining Mei Miura, and that Harry would not help her, she cut him off completely. Since then, there's only been one murder attempt on Harry's life, involving placing poison inside a drink, severely swelling up Harry's throat. He was rather lucky to survive. Teresa was never directly linked but.. it was heavily implied.
6. Key Events (Post Immigration)
The following is a list of event’s post immigration to Karakura. My own memory from Grades 7-12 for Harry are fairly hazy, but I will try my best to recall some!
Truth or Dare in someone else’s house
One of Harry’s earliest memories was likely around Grade 9-10, before ownership of houses. Harry and his group of friends would frequently go to their own claimed home, one that they shared together. The most regular activity was playing a simple game of Truth or Dare around the living room table. Times were simple back then, where the only thing Harry feared was to kiss or confess to any of the other girls around the table.
Moving in with Vanessa
After struggling to afford rent for his own place, Harry went around asking to bunk with any Karakuran he could find. Not the smartest of strategies, but surprisingly ending successful for him. Vanessa was a fellow student, one that was struggling with rent too. So they reached an agreement to split the rent evenly, and thus began their friendship!
Joining the Shima Family (Formerly Mochizuki)
What was first a chance encounter and a short fling with a girl, eventually landed Harry a spot in the Mochizuki family. One headed by a woman named Faelon Mochizuki, the once Head Chef at the Highschool. This was a small but blossoming family (see what I did there?), one definitely caught Harry’s eye. What followed was a lot of drama and experiences. Fighting with his sister Bonnie, wholesome times with his brother YeJoon and his mother Fae always being there to put things back together again. This family definitely become a solid pillar in Harry’s personality, giving him family members that would always be there for him.
Losing his eye
A major definitely moment in Harry’s life, one that literally shaped his vision forever. There was once a man named James Pretzel. He was a strange man, blind in both eyes, definitely unstable mentally and more often than not would terrorise Harry’s sister, Bonnie. So naturally Harry would confront James, insulting one of James’ very beliefs. The believe in the Donut God. Stay with me here .. but James was part of a Donut Cult, where they worshipped donuts and praised the Donut God. Now after Harry insulted James’ precious god, James vowed that Harry would see things differently soon, Harry of course didn’t know what that meant …
After being whacked in the back of the head and dragged to an apartment, Harry was locked up in a small room, with nothing but dog food in a bowl and a small door, light barely seeping through the sides. After many hours of silence, finally someone entered, a masked man with a bat. Clearly that wasn’t a good sign, as for what followed was severe beatings and several broken bones, all while the masked man praised and shouted various donut facts and flavours. Nightmare fuel. After a day or two, being beaten and broken, Harry was finally dragged upstairs to be laid and tied down on a table. He was surrounded by three masked man, all chanting strange words. All of a sudden his body was smearing in jam, and icing, all over his bloodied wounds and broken bones. Sprinkles were thrown over him, bits of dough and batter. Harry’s head was overwhelmed with fear, the chanting, the beatings, the lack of food or water, the entire situation was something out of a horror movie.
Then .. came the spoon. I think you can assume what the spoon was used for in relation to his eye …
“An eye for an eye, the Donut God yearns for symmetry, for all things oval and round. This loyal subject will see, with his one eye he will see the roundness of the earth and the one true god that encompasses it”
Harry was later found dumped on the beach just outside the lighthouse, found by none other than his sister Bonnie.
Then .. came the spoon. I think you can assume what the spoon was used for in relation to his eye …

Harry’s never decided to get a fake eye, he believed his eye has been the making of him, one that he shouldn’t attempt to hide or run away from. But embrace, and be thankful that the donut god something gave him mercy that day.
From KPIS to The Occult Club
The KPIS or Karakura Paranormal Investigation Society was Harry’s old passion project, formed around March 2024. This was peaked by Harry’s newfound passion for exploration of the island, learning about old Japanese folklore and occasionally meeting a few spirits! This club was very unofficial, currently just a group of friends. However he eventually wanted to apply for it to become an official school club! But one day, as he was walking around campus, there was an intercom message, a teacher advertising the new formation of the official “Occult Club”. Harry knew he had to get through that door.
After a meeting with the nerdy and stuttery club leader, Erik Finster, and after a few months waiting, on the 26th June 2024 Harry was accepted to the Occult Club! The Occult Club would become Harry’s primary focus for the foreseeable future and my OOCly biggest reason to keep playing. Through excursions to abandoned railway stations, interactions with demons and spirts, to the unforgettable October of ‘24, this club is and continues to be the most fun I have on the server, and has introduced Harry to many friends and pals.
Now while I personally don’t know the entire story of the curse, the beginning, the end and the reasoning, I at least want to include a section here as I believe it was such a cool and unique event for Harry to be part of. So here is a detailing of the beginning to end in simply Harry’s experience.
Suddenly, on October 18th there was an announcement from our club leader. Suddenly every spirit in Karakura had minor perms on our characters and we were all cursed! In the announcement were details of 4 tiers of the curse, with each tier getting progressively worse.
Tier 1: fatigue, aching joints, paleness of the skin and paranoia.
Tier 2: Nose bleeds, auditory hallucinations, limp fingers and mobility issues.
Tier 3: Decaying/missing teeth, unresponsive organs, brittle bones and rotting flesh.
The final tier, Tier 4, was of course death.
The symptoms progressed steadily, often a shrine cleansing could drop your character down a tier for just a day. Each member progressed together, soon figuring out something was wrong. The club only reached tier 2, with no one reaching tier 3 except for some unique circumstances. Harry was one of those exceptions. Through interacting with a strange hole in the wall in the club room, the flesh on his right hand began to rot away. Having your own flesh rotting around you whilst still being alive is quite the experience. He attempted to hide it from everyone, worried it might raise an alarm. So he hid it in rags and bandages, until one day, a benevolent spirit of the Mother Teresa healed his hand right in front of a watching crowd. A miracle if you will.
Luckily, the curse was lifted before anyone reached the third tier officially. This was the defining event that put the Occult Club on the minds of many people, skyrocketing its popularity. Harry’s more than proud to be a member to this day.

Student Council
A fairly recent venture for Harry, after a joking comment from a friend he decided to look into it. Harry’s always wanted to be part of a faction, but he’s not very sporty and many of the teams frankly scare him. So the student council seemed the perfect fit! He’s found it to be a great time, making a few new friends like Himari and some friendly enemies like the HS-President Emma Emerson. Much like the Occult Club, he’s seeing this as quite a long term commitment, it’s slowly becoming part of his character. A few people regularly refer to Harry as “Councillor Shima”

8. The Future
Anything can happen in this town, and a lot has happened since I last updated this biography. Harry's currently on his second term of Club Lead for the Occult Club, permanently stamping his name in it's history, he's got himself a high-knit group of friends and a lot of responsibilities. He still has his doubts and fears, yet feels more supported than ever.
Currently he has no plans, perhaps to join the shrine or to become a professor maybe, but currently the Occult Club is his biggest passion, and he relishes every opportunity he has to be it's leader!
