DESCRIPTION:
Max stands at about 5'10", with a thin, lithe build and a very rigid posture. He has soft golden toned hair, and brilliantly sharp pale blue hues. He has a well defined jaw and soft cheekbones, with a crescent shape knife scar running across the top of his upper left cheekbone, along the side and bottom of his left eye. He is almost always wearing a dress shirt and gloves, and appears to pride himself on a mix between a formal and scruffy sense of style.

At first encounter, Max is a very standoffish character. He tends to be a bit snappy, and pointed, though tends to miss the point of a lot of conversations, despite doing his best to listen and understand. All in all, he lacks critical patience. He is extra cautious, even once he can consider you an acquaintance, due to past relationship complications, and even then, won't open up too much to you. At the core he is devoted and selfless, and holds an intense desire to protect and serve.

He typically tends to have weaponry on him, though usually he'll leave that at home in the next city over, given the higher police activity of Karakura. His favorite small weapons to hold on him are usually small knives and daggers, things that don't hinder his quick and punctual style of fighting. He always carries his cellphone, and always has a cigarette--not the type to bum them off of others.
Clothes:
Max will tend to go out in public flaunting a suit and tie, though on days where he just can't be fucked, he tends to wear hoodies and baggie flannel shirts. He always has gloves on, and rarely wears short sleeves, even in warmer weather.
Hobbies:
As a guilty pleasure, Max tends to bake and cook, and given his recent making of close-knit friends, he tends to bake quite often nowadays for them. He smokes as a stress reliever, and is plenty addicted. He also loves to take morning and evening walks, when the roads are quieter, and doesn't mind doing so with companions or his girlfriend.

BACKSTORY:
Raised in a prominent gang family in London, England, Max was born to Lucius and Seraphina Morningstar. The Morningstar family is the leading family of the Diabolos Faction, a Clan of several gang families and groups reigning over London's criminal underground, running mercenary work, assassinations, and transport of illegal and stolen goods. The idea Lucius Morningstar (yes, based on Lucifer, not from the show, but from a worldbuilding project I have been working on since I was a wee one [2011]), the family head had was that, in accordance to his Satanic beliefs, he would marry and impregnate 7 woman he defined as 'genetically superior' to create 7 children to carry out work he no longer could in his old age. With each newborn, he disposed of a wife, until he was left with 7 children to raise into prominent gang members, who, he hoped, would one day go off and create more branches of the Diabolos Faction of their own.
This... did not go entirely according to plan. Each child was blessed with an individuality, a personality beyond what Lucius had stupidly anticipated, and while they would all later go on to be all well and good at carrying out their duties, Pride--Max--fell behind. Whilst not living up to Lucius's expectations, he was subject to many punishments, ranging in severity, which only encouraged him to be gone on his missions longer, take as much time away from home base as he desired. He instead, in his early childhood, took a liking to more mundane things, such as the idea of having a family and exploring on his own. This would lead to Max meeting Ivy Bennett on one particular search and destroy mission, in which he was dispatched at 17 to kill her father, which he failed to do.
After this fateful meeting, he was gone from his work more and more, and eventually disappeared into the outskirts of England entirely, ending up in Yorkshire Dale, where he married Ivy and she gave birth to twins. When Max was 19, nearly 20, two years later, and in a twist of fate, he was discovered by the Morningstars once again and pulled out of hiding, leading to Ivy and the twins being killed by [REDACTED]. To him now, the entire incident is a blur, and all he can recall after that is arriving in Karakura shortly after turning 20, searching for new work and gaining new acquaintances, once again hidden from the Diabolos Faction.
