As of right now, it is getting better from not being the best. Around two weeks ago I only just got back into SchoolRP after taking a long break due to both mental and physical health. After my break that lasted just over four months, I’m more than ready to get back into SchoolRP not only on schedule but better than before. There are things that will take up my time over the next coming months: examinations, writers block, college taster days and other academic priorities. My main priority coming back into SchoolRP is to at least spend four to five hours online daily. In a week, this can range from 3pm-7pm and at the weekend I wish to scatter it between 10am-7pm. I like to keep within this schedule, and generally never extend it past this. On discord however, I’m pretty much free from when I wake up to when I sleep. Additionally, I’ve been roaming around this server for just over two years. I began playing late December 2022 obviously taking an occasional break but generally staying active. As for my future activity, I may have days off however I will not take extended breaks.

Spending time as a fight club security, a bounty hunter and now a Defense Captain for an upcoming street gang. My time was also spent in the Town Hall faction. Before my most recent break I spent around 2 or so months being a Governor. Moreover, I spent sometime in the Academic field- being a Professor, Teacher and even a Student Councillor. The main part of my motivation is to come back into SchoolRP with an impact. I like to think of my break as squeezing a spring—now that I’m back, I’m ready to launch into the chaos with renewed energy and purpose! My time on SchoolRP hasn’t exactly been spent as I wish it could of. I see all these other individuals despite spending the same amount of time on this server, if not less, and getting far further than I have or ever could- and so I wish to start a change. I think that reporter is something that I genuinely wish to stay devoted to. Since the start of my time on SchoolRP I’ve prided myself in my writing, becoming a writing tailor as well as writing many backstories and lore for many of my characters. Alot of my time and devotion in the current is based off writing already, doing this and not only getting it to a few people or just some individual clients- but instead to a hundreds of people in a server is something that I find passion within. Writing is already a hug part of what I do, so being able to combine this passion with reality and a larger widespread audience seems- ethereal. Moreover, becoming a reporter allows me to connect myself with people all over the server. I’ve always found an odd enjoyment in meeting new people and expanding my social awareness as well as being able to expand my friendgroup and other friends that I couldn’t have made otherwise. I genuinely believe that reporters are some of the most wholesome, developed characters in the field and being able to share my character and my writing with them is almost a dream to me. Additionally, this role would let me practice the art of turning small details into compelling stories. A reporter takes the smallest story or smallest case and makes it the most intriguing, interesting story just to keep a few readers in touch. I find infatuation with this. I'm eager to tweak and hone my skills on benefiting myself and the server. Something I know I struggle with is staying with something for a long time because I just find it repetitive. Being a reporter means this is completely gone almost instantly because theres so much difference in what I report on depending on the Karakura state, which is something that really motivated me to apply. Furthermore, it allows me to escape my comfort zone in many ways. Generally, I'm only really active at the moment when I need to be, not really bothering to log on until I'm needed or I know people will on. Being a reporter will almost force me to be online more and generally will build the habits that I need to be more active. As well as this, being a reporter means that I'm under alot of pressure to write and have the look of others and have others opinionating my work constantly, not something I'm familiar with nor something that I have had to this measure before online.

I as a person ADORE writing. I think I could genuinely write a whole article about how much I enjoy writing. Something I’ve had a passion about literally from the moment I stepped into SchoolRP was the amazing amount of detail I could put into a character. To give you an idea, one of the only reasons I logged into SchoolRP as a greenie was to try out these commands like “/me” and “/setdesc” and see how impressive I could look to others (which wasn’t really much seeing as I had the most disgusting yellow colour for my actions).
Out of SRP, I write poetry. I found myself finding an amazing interest with painting a picture a mood and a feeling to people with just a few words. I also have a passion in lyricsm, being able to write just a few words to get stuck in someones day and even being able to make someones day with words is just something I love.
By far my favourite thing about writing is my ability to change a persons mood for the worse or for the better and make a change with someone in anyway that I please.

Theres no real answer to this- as they all just sound pretentious. I think alot of my unwavering devotion and a drive for continuous improvement is a reason I should be accepted. My time spent on this server, when active is some of the most devotion I’ve shown to anything else. If accepted, I plan to spend at least an hour a day actively working on reports—whether that’s gathering information, taking notes, conducting interviews, drafting articles, or even capturing images for future reports. Moreover, I think that I seek more improvement out of this job than just getting the income and getting the results. Beyond just fulfilling the responsibilities of a reporter, I want to elevate my craft. I aim to develop my writing further, adding more charisma, depth, and nuance to my storytelling. Unlike someone who may take this role just for the perks, I am here for the experience, the challenge, and the growth.

Let's start with those that are responsible for saving us from pain, those who, in many cases, are the very reason we continue to live another day.
Being a doctor is not just about what happens inside the operating theater. It's a multifaceted role that goes beyond that. One important aspect of being a doctor is being ready in the lobby, always prepared to provide comprehensive assistance to any patient in need.
Whether it's a minor ailment or a medical emergency, doctors are there to offer their expertise and support, making sure that every patient receives the care and attention they deserve. They are not only in the lobby, but they also perform surgeries, showcasing their precision and skill. From diagnosing illnesses to performing complex surgical procedures, doctors are essential in the healthcare ecosystem. Their expertise stretches across various domains, ensuring that every patient, regardless of the severity of their condition, receives the necessary attention and care.
Beyond doctors, EMS personnel bear an immense responsibility—one that requires a high level of skill, resilience, and dedication. These professionals often serve as the first line of defense in critical situations, making life-altering decisions within seconds. Whether responding to accidents, medical crises, or emergencies requiring immediate transport, EMS workers carry the weight of life and death on their shoulders.. We as a community have to see this and form sympathy with them.
Personally, I've never seen an issue with this faction.Their work is a testament to human compassion and expertise, and the impact they have on society is immeasurable. Saving lifes that can be saved, and even saving those that aren't. Curious to gain further insight, I spoke with people across the city to hear their thoughts on the role of doctors and EMS workers.

Being a doctor is not just about what happens inside the operating theater. It's a multifaceted role that goes beyond that. One important aspect of being a doctor is being ready in the lobby, always prepared to provide comprehensive assistance to any patient in need.
Whether it's a minor ailment or a medical emergency, doctors are there to offer their expertise and support, making sure that every patient receives the care and attention they deserve. They are not only in the lobby, but they also perform surgeries, showcasing their precision and skill. From diagnosing illnesses to performing complex surgical procedures, doctors are essential in the healthcare ecosystem. Their expertise stretches across various domains, ensuring that every patient, regardless of the severity of their condition, receives the necessary attention and care.
Beyond doctors, EMS personnel bear an immense responsibility—one that requires a high level of skill, resilience, and dedication. These professionals often serve as the first line of defense in critical situations, making life-altering decisions within seconds. Whether responding to accidents, medical crises, or emergencies requiring immediate transport, EMS workers carry the weight of life and death on their shoulders.. We as a community have to see this and form sympathy with them.
Personally, I've never seen an issue with this faction.Their work is a testament to human compassion and expertise, and the impact they have on society is immeasurable. Saving lifes that can be saved, and even saving those that aren't. Curious to gain further insight, I spoke with people across the city to hear their thoughts on the role of doctors and EMS workers.

The noticeably older man pivoted on his heel, his expression shifting into an exaggerated display of amusement. There was a distinct brightness in his tone—cheerful, yet laced with unmistakable sarcasm. His posture was relaxed, almost playful, his mannerisms radiating a jovial energy that contrasted sharply with the situation at hand.[...]
"Greetings Karakura! Today I found a random child that I'm going to use for views."
He then slyly turned to the boy next to him as a broad, knowing smile crept across his face, curling at the edges with an almost mischievous intent.. He took his hand out and shook his hand, Harrison's eyes gleamed with curiosity, and with a smooth, almost teasing cadence, he posed the question"Tell us, what are your true opinons on the EMS faction."
The boy, dazed and somewhat confused answered the question in a rather monotonous voice.
"I think as individuals we should learn to trust them more. An education worth theirs is worth trusting."

"Has their ever been a point in your life where you relied on EMS. Did they help?"
The boy nodded, an odd show of emotion as he found the reporter amusing, finding this sort of shift in emotion around the individual
"A while back I walked through the woods only to be attacked by bears! Rather instantaniously a vetenarian appeared from nowhere! Tranquilising the bear before calling paramedics down to the hospital. Due to a rough battle, I found myself with a few broken bones and a few hasty scratches! They fixed me up in no time and I was sent into recovery for a while!"

The role of being an officer goes far beyond simply enforcing laws; it's a commitment to preserving the foundation of society, their work is not just towards patrolling the streets or making arrests— each and every officer holds a vow to preserve order, to protect the innocent, and to ensure that justice prevails, not just in the present but for the generations to come. Our police force is the paperclip of society, holding us all as one. Without them, the balance of our city would crumble, leaving us to the tyrannous rule of the criminal underworld, and a constant state of paranoia.
Yet, this duty is not for the faint of heart. Law enforcement demands resilience, sharp instincts, and an unshakable moral compass. As like the rest of our needed workers, this job is in need of those with unwavering skill and adaptability, with almost every course of action having it's own policy and it's own rules. [-] Once again, the TV snapped breifly into a rather swift interview. A VHS starting noise played as the show started, a melancholy rock rythmn playing barely behind the scene. [-]
"Greetings individuals of Karakura. Today we met with another civillian of the city to converse about their opinons on KPD as a whole."
He looked tense.. this is gonna be fun Harrison turned to the individual besides him with a rather bright smile as he continued. Taking the microphone from his cameraman as he began to speak into the mic, his eyes maintaining contact with the camera as a rather fabulous smile erupted from his lips.
"Sir what's your opinions on the current state of the Police Department?"
The rather mature adult turned to him rather monotonously, his facial expression reflecting this. The man looked around 50 and his appearance reflected this, the man being rather well aged yet proper and clean. The individual brought out his right hand with a soft smile as he began speaking, his words affluent and almost gliding off his tongue.
"I believe they do their job correctly. However many who are caught are unhappy with the results. It's as simple as that. They coincide perfectly with the law and bring it as it should be brung. Directly."

Harrison nodded along, bringing his own mic to his mouth as he continued. His eyes staying perfectly aligned with the person besides him. His voice rang out in a rich soft tone as he stated , "Has there ever been a point where you've actually had an issue with an officer or any member of the KPD?"
The individual besides him shook his head, staring eerily at the camera... This was odd, however he spoke. This time his voice was far gentler and more proper.
"I wouldn't say so! I think there's been a lot of times where searches have been an issue. Say I'm wearing a mask for my costumes but in general there hasn't been issues that have affected me in the long run."

He allowed the individual to stop as he nodded along, seeming impressed by the individuals hobby! He then proceeded to query "What is it that you dislike about KPD, if anything?"
He paused for a moment, giving himself a breath of respite before continueing
"Truth be it, I'm not a fan of the fact they're constantly patrolling but never on par with criminals. They interrupt the innocent bu-"

Harrsion turned back to the camera, smiling slyly as he seemed to bring an abrupt end to the show, a smile present on his face as he signalled to the camera man it was the end of his time to speak
"It was great seeing you all! It's easy to say that KPD is making everything for the better! See you all around."

Additional Information:
So I didnt' really know what to write for some additional stuff so I decided to make a collage based off of the character that I want him to be.
I'm going to highly base Harrsion off of someone of the alternative scene. His character will be someone of confidence and charisma but my plan is to make him suffer from Bipolar so that his personality can randomly change into this angry, uncontrollable individual. Now to explain some of the things I put on this board and why.
Obviously the most obvious is the hair inspiration. I've always wanted to have a character with dyed hair and seeing as this is literally the hair I'd want myself IRL I thought it'd be really cool to have! Moreover, this is the sort of look that I want my character to have, giving him this pale sort of look contrasting his vibrant, definitely significant hair.
Additionally, I added in alot of art that I found really interesting on Pinterest. The bottom right is the sort of things you'd find in his office or in his work place on posters or his casual clothing. Both top right and middle right sort of presenting this sort of messy alternative style that I'm really into and would really like to start roleplaying.
Finally, Harrison is a smoker. He has been since a young age and properly allows himself to indulge in this sort of activity.

/me his posture was rather gracefully set back, his shoulder blades meeting directly with the harsh cushion on the chair. He kept his neck poised, aligning with his jaw as he posture looked quietly confident. Harrison sat with one leg crossed over the other and his hands palm in palm as he watched the individual enter the news station building. His face would lighten as a slight spring in his voice was heard "Greetings! Welcome to the news building! Papers are on sale and in stock today!" His voice was rich, a slight echo in the room elapsing as his booming yet soothing voice reverberated around the walls. Gold let out a childish, toothy smile as he lent forward, crossing his arms on the table as he continued "It's rare seeing someone in this building to be honest! How can I help you today?"
/me allowed himself to control his breathing, taking a long measured sigh inwards before exerting air through his teeth- relaxing his posture. The man reached into his pocket only to bring out a little retro 80s portable polaroid. Harrison remained relaxed as he brought the camera up to his eye, squinting his left as he kept his right open and peered through the lense. He then gently tapped the top of the camera, allowing for it to shutter for a second, then FLASH as a picture was taken and printed from the bottom of the camera. He then turned to the person besides him with a soft smile, stating in a rather relaxed voice "All views and places deserve to be observed and shared. Such as this beautiful forest."
/me his eyes widened as his palms rested on the table... Do I have my f*cking number or anything? He thought, his eyes darting around the desk as he hurried. His voice cracked as he said "I'll be with you in a second!" He then continued to open every single draw within about a 10 metre radius as he frantically looked everywhere he could. The man then began patting himself down, as if he was investigating his own case. Oh. It's in my pocket. "Fuck" he muttered. "My contact information should be presented on this little card here!" Harrison passed over the card, an awkward smile as he gave it to the nice citizen "If you ever want to report anything to me again you can!"

As an ambiance of faint distorted music weaved from his headphones and danced within the walls of the silent room. From the second Harrison walked in the room, his presence was something admirable.. something impossible to ignore. Immediately, his striking appearance set him apart from all the other candidates in the building today. He carried a hairstyle dyed red and black, cascading over his forehead purposefully unkept and messy, showing his effortless beauty and handsomeness. However, a rather terribly applied eyeliner would scathe the mans waterline, accenting his dark appearance. He kept a rather lean frame, complimented with it's muscular aspects, subtly apparent beneath the loose d**** of his quarterly unbuttoned black polo shirt. The warm lighting of the room accented his pale skin- perfectly complimenting his soft hazel eyes which you could just... tell, held a past. The individual had a rather hawk-like appearance. His jawline being extremely prominent, along with the tendons in his neck and his shoulders on display. Across the mans collarbones were chains tattoo'd on either side. The man had his sleeves rolled up, and up his forearms you could see many burn marks, along with a subtle ";" tattoo on his wrist. The man took the headphones from his ears, allowing them to hang loose as one hand held onto his backpack, his heels pivoting towards you as he began to stride forth "Do you er- know where the interview room is?" His voice was peculiar, yet pleasing. You see, H carried a rather rich and warm voice that was perfectly carried by a Southern British accent- however a rather apparent rasp was complimenting the underlying tone of his vocals.

Something that I gave Harrison was his ability to be incredibly two-faced. [I don't know if you can tell but I put alot of thought into this guy] Something that I wanted to make him was this person who could easily change himself based on the people he's around and the situation he's in. Yes, you could class this as just being adaptable to environment however I CONCUR. I made it so that it not only depends on his environment but heavily the people he's around. Say character A is extremely someone he is comfortable around or he is someone he seeks gain from, he will be extremely nice- however character B is someone who is just an NPC to him and doesn't really matter, he'll generally ignore them. Say both are in the same room, he will show no interest to character B and be fully immersed with character A. However, this won't mean he's just some mean guy. To become a NPC he has to either: not know you, or have something against you. For Harrison to hate you, you have to do quite alot. This also means that he does alot to be comfortable and nice to new people and will often yearn for appreciation or social affection through others. Harrison will be extremely dependent on others and their opinions on him, hence why he does his best to look as good as he possibly can purely to impress or find validation from others.
Yes, this is a crime character. Something that I built for Harrison is for him to be extremely violent when needed. Harrison [due to his mental illness] will find it extremely hard to hold back on his emotions and bottle them up when it should be neccesary. I've purely done this just to make him more fun to play and make him better as a character for me to stick with. That's why I gave him this sort of rebellious appearance purely because him as a person was brought up into an extremely rebellious family and group of friends. This- I will cover on a biography when and if I get accepted. Moreover, Harrison is rather talkative when he wants to be- which to be fair is quite alot. Unless he's in an episode or mid-task, he will generally try his best to talk to others as much as possible. He's rather provocative with his speech- a bad mouth in a way but trust me it's only for jokes and isn't meant to be taken seriously. Not everyone is perfect, and Harrison REAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY is not perfect. He very much has his strengths and his pro's, but it's so hard to find a balance between pro's and cons that I have planned for him. Alot of his character will be based around this frantic movement that he acts out. Alot of his communications will be clumsy, lovable and rather comedic but I will be presenting him as a rather clumsical fellow. Obviously, when told to be formal and proper he very much will be it's just not going to be the normal.

Intermittent Explosive Disorder [IED] | Mentally, Harrison suffers with IED. This means he can go through things like Impulsive Aggression, Disproportionate reactions to events. These often don't last too long and the emotional aftermath and a quite a noticeably amount of remorse and guilt will follow. He got this biologically through a lack of serotonin and through his father having it. Rough genes, I know. |
Bipolar Disorder | As well as IED, in a bit of a rough patch I've also created Harrison to go through with having Bipolar. Basically characterizing him with extreme mood swings that alternate between manic (or hypo manic) episodes as well as depressive episodes. I thought this would be a good addition as it not only supplies the IED and supports the use of that but gives more of a realism and trigger to both the depressive and the IED elements of his character. The main reason I added Bipolar is purely because of the duration of the episodes. Something I may roleplay is the guilt after the IED episodes and the duration of those. This was triggered via substance abuse. |
