Describe your activity:
Week Days (Test / Exam Free): If I do not have assigned homework or work or anything after school I am able to be online from 4pm - 8pm. However this can sometimes fluctuate with appointments, after school activities or events and birthdays. Sometimes I also choose not to log on during the week to give myself a break and mental step back. On average I may log on during my weekdays once or twice. Do note Thursdays I have Tutoring so I do choose to not log on those days to focus on study. I also sometimes work on a Friday, however this is changing due to the seasons as my job is seasonal. So going into winter I will be free.
Week Days (Test / Exam Periods): This is a lot harder to determine. I may put in an inactivity log depending on workload or I may log on. There is no set time for when I’ll be online as I try to prioritise homework, reflection and study prior to joining. This can cause me to only login once a week and it could be as short as 1-2 hours. My test and exam periods are marked in my calendar and I will give a large warning beforehand.
Weekends (without exams): Weekends are funky, however I normally work around a 4 hour shift on Saturday cutting my average time down to 3-4 hours depending what I have on. Normally I am around on a weekend from 8am - 8pm and can be anything from in game to only on discord. If I am not working I can be online for 4-8 hours depending on my motivation.
Weekends (with exams): This ones tricky, sometimes I may log on for an hour or two, or I may completely remain offline to finish study first. I have a heavy study schedule which follows tight restrictions to make sure I get the most out of it, so the most I’ll have is maybe an hour or two every so often. However I will check discord every 20 odd minutes.
Overall during exam or test periods I won’t be online as much as I cover for myself and make sure I am prepared. If I have free time to spare or I am not busy I may log on for a little to give myself a brain break and then log back off to finish my studies.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
I would like to try something new. I kind of have a trend of picking or sticking to comfort zones and places I feel most safe in. In applying for a reporter I will get the opportunity to do something new. I'm a lore member currently on the server and have a history for sticking to things I excel in like folklore, short stories and fantasy topics. In my 2025 belief of forcing myself out of my comfort-zone and into trying something completely new and different to what I was previously never known for doing. In my understanding and knowledge of writing I also want to try and develop it into different styles and understandings. If given the chance I will perform to my best abilities and be able to try and work hard. I want to try and do something new and explore a form of text I'm comfortable writing for school but never done for SRP or lore!
For me Reporter is a door opener to hopefully my normally restricted bubble. I prefer to remain in writing. Overall my aim for joining reporter is reaching out to the other tiny faction on the server, and also to give myself something new to experience, challenging what I'm comfortable in writing and giving me another chance to socialise and chat with new people. Get to know and understand them but also develop my skills in creative writing and produce some fun and unique articles in my own style to develop my understanding of writing.
Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
Well, I’ve been a part of the Lore Team for about two and half years! I'm kind of old, but I have had a love for writing and creative writing since being a kid, and it wasn’t the best but my favourite thing to do.
I somehow managed to whip together this cringy story, about a group of kids with magic who’d always go fight werewolves and looking back on it. I think I need to clean my eyes after revisiting that but it was my starting point for my love of fantasy and creative writing. While many stories never made sense or if they did they had so many ideas thrown onto a page in a jumbled mess, there was this nostalgia I found revisiting my work. I have since I was a kid loved writing, while I was the last kid in my class to get a pen license after that I just wrote, and did not stop. Because of my early love for storytelling and making something fun (no one will ever read those) I had an enjoyment and sense of peace doing it.
To be honest, since I could remember even turning scribbles into words I was able to make up some oddly interesting stories. They were strange but foundational blocks for my interest in making something. I said I wanted to be an author back then but even then I was unsure. Despite my dream to be a biologist I wouldn’t also mind trying to be an author. On the side there's some cool ideas I have.
Now, as an adult I have been creating pieces and writing for SRP for almost three years, finding love in letting my creativity flow through the words I put down on a page. While I mainly specialise in folklore I’ve been trying to push myself and my creative limits to produce some modernised lore. My writing since joining the team has improved so much, there aren't as many faults or grammar errors as there were in my past works, I have also adapted to using more imagery and figurative language to enhance my pieces. Even now I am plotting a lot for writing two novels both based on psychological horror and as a joke there's a little side comic of sorts about my characters story which is silly. However I have a long history writing, it shaped the way I was as a kid, it developed and made me understand English better and it gave me a chance to express myself on a page when half the time I am too nervous or shy. Being able to write gave me freedom and a chance to show my skills whether in poetry, normal writing or this weird rhythmic style of writing I adopted that's unique to me.
Much of my work remains in the RPH Lore forum if people are curious to see some of my work, my proudest piece and one I and many can relate to the most is The Weeping Maiden.
Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
Yes! I have read all set rules and intend to familiarise myself with them and follow them.
Why should we accept you over others?:
I have had a long history on SRP and a long history in writing. Since being a kid I have spent years trying to perfect and ace my skills in writing from grammar to spelling and punctuation. This has been years of learning and building up as I wrote stories, corrected them, ****ysed books and delved deeper into my love for writing. I always loved to read and much of my understanding of literature came from there. There is a strong motivation and passion behind all my work in writing as I always want to put my best foot forward and produce my best work for myself and my peers. While my writing and storytelling may not be the best it is always changing and developing. I am always trying to invent and learn new ways to improve and make my writing better. If given the chance I want to do as much as I can and put in as much as I can into this tiny faction.
Since joining SRP I applied for the Lore Team about two years into my time. It was luckily accepted and I got to spend the next two and a half years (still going) working with some amazing people. Being a part of the lore team taught me how to write with others, understand my flaws in writing and how to improve and cover them. My time which is ongoing in the lore team has inspired me so much to try new things and write more. I want to be able to share my knowledge of the SRP lore and understanding of history not just out of character but also in character. The long collaboration and writing experiences I have gone through working with this amazing team has taught me so much about myself but also how to write and progress with my writing.
In person I am a literature student. I love love love close ****ysis and understanding my texts. But I also love writing and making my own stories and texts too. I am currently in the process of planning and developing two novels; one a psychological horror and another about the same. Since being a literature student I have learned to study and shape my texts, to evolve my writing and also understand it. Being apart of these classes also helped me to learn how to correct, edit and perfect much of my work which I put down on paper.
I think my understanding and experience with writing for a server for two and a half years, my four years of roleplaying and my seven years of unofficial and fun story telling gives me a good standing and understanding in collaboration, development and adapting texts and writing on different topics and I hope this can help my as I continue my writing journey.
Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
Yes! If I feel uncomfortable or feel like there will be some sort of bias I will do my best to avoid or not report on that topic at all.
Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
Yes and no. I may become inactive for a week or two during each semester. I am currently going through my last year of highschool and it is also my graduating year. So sometimes I may have to place an inactivity log in so I can focus on my school. However when I am not I’ll be able to write and work on reports in my breaks and resting times between study.
Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
In the simplest form, writing on stuff that happened, is happening or key events of interest to society at the time. Much of what I’d imagine a reporter to do is report on weather patterns, incoming storms, updates or new information on crime, investigations, concerns or worries for the country or changes. Sometimes there can be different articles not focusing on the main swing of stuff diving into trends, problems or issues arising with certain key household items (technology) or anything really. Reporters basically report, share and inform people of what's gone on, is going on or has been going on through research, events or issues.

[!] A rather small female walked in, she was no more than about 5’0” and her expression almost looked like she had you listed on her hit list. Dressed formally like always the tiny figure walked to a small chair and sat down remaining dead panned… despite the small stature she herself commanded attention and was intimidating somewhat. When the first question was asked she replied;
Full Name:
Koizumi Saiky
Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)
Koizumi or Koi, my full title is Madam Koizumi Saiky amongst the Saiky family… however Mrs Saiky works though I hate it don’t ever call me that.
Current Age (25+):
[!] A pause for a moment before uttering in a soft tone her mood clearly darkening with each question.
I’m 44 and don't comment on it.
Past job/work experience:
[!] A sigh of annoyance left her lips as she shook her head and turned to look at her paper, one she brought in and one she utterly forgot to even reference. Looking up again she spoke.
Once I returned to the family estate in Karakura from our other residence in China I placed an application for the Karakuran Government. There, I was accepted and worked as a Judge there for around a month. Due to unfortunate circumstances I soon resigned from the position without completing my full training. From there I was then unemployed for a while mainly tending my family and flying between Karakura, Japan and my family's residence in China again doing small jobs.
After returning back to Japan I worked a few odd jobs at my brother's place Daisuki Yōhin which was horrible and rather unenjoyable for myself, but it gave my basic income, sometimes when I have the time I do work there as well when he does open. Some other small places I worked at were like Mai-Yume and Oto-Nashi which were around the same jobs as a cashier. Eventually I had enough and settled down to tailoring fine clothing and garments for my friends and family which earned me enough to pay for myself and children.
After a year of unemployment and mainly doing my own jobs around the estate, I received an invitation to become the Mitsu-Shiro at the monastery, it was fun while it lasted. I am interested and do respect Shintoism. It is my religion and many others. However that job only lasted about a month like my last one as I signed off and decided to quit due to personal issues. Since I have had nothing but my tailoring on the side and attending odd shifts my brother has or requests to help design and organise interiors for people around the city. Finally deciding for myself after constant nagging to try something new…
Degree/qualifications:
[!] Without hesitation she answered softly;
I have a PhD in Herbal Medicine and a Bachelors in Criminology which both were obtained from online courses at Tokyo University.
Nationality and born location:
I am Karakuran and was born in the Hospital of Karakura, Japan.
Phone Number: 030-401-9600
How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
It's hard to say, I don't like crowds or social gatherings… Quite often I prefer silence and to work on things alone without the help of others. Some people are aware of my high standings within my family and my memory which seems to capture and remember it so I can recite it perfectly. I love to study and dive into new subjects and topics I don’t know or understand, I also love reptiles and amphibians like frogs as I grew up owning them. Uhm… I however have a strong dislike and distrust towards strangers. Those who are too loud and love to make noise as well get on my nerves and many people in one area can annoy me. That's all, I already have given you enough information about myself.
What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
Anything? If that's even an answer, I prefer to learn new things but it could be stories on folklore around Karakura, or maybe it’s serious events or things that happen during the year like the new years festival events. For how I’d report on events… well I would sadly have to attend them. Despite my hate for crowds and dislike for loud noises I can tolerate a few hours, document and write what I see, take photos and maybe if I feel in a good mood tolerate reality and speak to some stranger… if I don’t snap at them. However I could document and report on the niceties of an event hosted by the government, what they organised, did, who attended, what was presented or celebrated and how well it went. Maybe speaking on some personal opinions from what I hear and ask about, who liked it, who didn’t, why or why not.
I don’t expect to report about trends or societal expectations. It's rather annoying and something not of interest to me and never will be, there's too much drama in Karakura for me to bother looking into and it would take up valuable time. It's like asking for help and never getting anything, useless. This would be out of my comfort zone and far too painful for me to handle. Then again, I basically hate anything to do with social interaction or crowded spaces so I’m already signing up for hell.
Besides the cynical stuff… for what I’d be comfortable in, historical facts, information and events that happened. Maybe reporting on an area of interest, a hot spot or some place of historical significance to Karakura. I did not study the history of Karakura for nothing and I do not like seeing the fact that the public seems rather oblivious to the long history running here. Maybe I’ll comment on present times too, how modernisation changed an area or even developed it. Now I just sound boring, I guess I can also document fun stuff like spirit or unusual encounters with the supernatural, crime versus the government and key events that shaped and developed Karakura.
In honesty, I can handle anything assigned as much as I might hate it. I do not want to end up walking out after a month like the other times due to boredom. So, I intend to at least report on something interesting and bring the public eye to places, people and significant history or past experiences.
What are your expectations for the job?:
[!] Pausing for a moment she uttered;
Something different, I only live once. I want to step out of the safety of my residence and spend time working a job again so I can maybe retire happily and lock myself away. I do not want to sit around and do nothing as life can become boring repeating the same steps over and over again. Maybe this could be a nice shove out of my bubble giving me skills to speak to random people, understand and work with unfamiliar faces and learn to get along with people. There is little I want from this then to merely learn something new, grow in my understanding of those around me and give myself a go at doing something I otherwise would’ve never once thought about doing.
Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
[!] The female paused and her face almost seemed to darken… so much for a positive atmosphere, she remained deadpan and uttered.
Well, uh… I have a felony record for Possession of Illegal Weaponry. But, I do not own or have possession of anything anymore.
Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
I have a few languages I speak… my native and most fluent language is Jin however I also spea- or well sign Japanese Sign Language, and speak Italian. I can read and write kanji and I can also transcribe, translate and speak ancient Karakuran which is a dead language.

[!] Pausing for a moment she uttered;
PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)
#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.
(Do note; question answers are given by DarkEclipic the roleplayer of said character (Souta). Some have been altered slightly to fit the format. However credits do go to dark as my unsuspecting victim for this interview)
The rise of the New Generational Families;
[!] A rather tiny figure, stood just in frame, or well the camera was pushed quite far back to capture the silly character. She was no taller than the plant in the background, in a rather horribly lit room and the small character seemed rather tired, her hair well kept and her face as lethal as her passive aggressive entry tone. Beside her stood another tall figure who took up a lot more space than she did. Compared to her standing only around a measly chest height compared to the towering figure he also didn’t seem to care much. For a job application shouldn’t a mock interview be more well presented? Clearly, this author was NOT going to spend too much time pondering it.
The tiny figure glanced at the male before huffing and stomping off out of the frame to return with a stool. She slapped it onto the floor with so much force the plastic thing quivered under the violent act. Then, she arose to… a uh improved height of just below his chin. Worked enough her tone remained unchanged as she just simply said “Right let's begin this shit…” [!]
As everyone is aware the Itsbyoshi Families of Karakura are some of the most prestigious, respected and well known across the island. Some dating back to as early as the first arrivals onto Karakura.
But with the end of one decade the end of a generation occurs and with the time shifting so is the rule of the Itsbyoshi families and their control on Karakura throughout modernisation. In picking an unsuspecting victim off the street to interrogate, there are a series of 10 questions I asked in an attempt to hear what the public thinks of such ideas.
My uh, unsuspecting victim is my close friend and hu- well yeah. Souta!
K: What defines the Itsbyoshi Families?
S: Depends, things considered like power, wealth and high status in Karakura.
K: Are there new families arising to take their place?
S: There are a few families rising to positions, some like the Mori’s, DeLuca’s and Brown’s.
K: The fall of the older generations could lead to possible new generations. How? Why?
S: The fall could happen for many reasons. People die, some more away, anything could happen for the new generations.
K: What are some currently prominent families across Karakura that AREN’T Itsbyoshi?
S: The Mori family I have seen a lot in Government, along with the Brown family which is also located around the School area with the Mori’s too.
K: Do you think they will rise to power and become seen as one, or will they fall and be forgotten?
S: Some may rise to be as great as the current Itsbyoshi Families which currently are prominent in Karakura, but they might fall too. It goes back to the Itsbyoshi fall like Otori in history, it's all depending on them.
K: What are the critual building blocks to a successful family?
S: Communication is important, it's key in many families and keeps people in touch. Without communication there's a lack of leadership and then no trust. Which trust is also important.
K: The public eye defines a society, does it too define what the family’s morals, presentation and understanding are?
S: I do not believe it defines what a family's morals are. For example, take my Cousin’s Family. The Zennix's are based on trust, loyalty, and family socialising and association. Yet, many Zennix's have been involved in crime and some even arrested, but they are still a name that many people know to trust and hold dear. It's all about what you do with the name given to you to give you that 'power' within the public eye.
K: Would you wish to see more of these prominent families making a change?
S: Change is always good for an ever-evolving town that is Karakura City. If and when the next generation comes about, I would like to see them more active within the community than the shut off way that the Saiky's and Akihito's are... Sorry.
[!] The small female stood atop her stool side-eyed the rather tall male for a moment and then made a small gesture with her hands signing his death wish. For someone… rather harmless looking she did not look like she’d kill the male before her but who said it hasn't been done before... [!]
K: Do you think there is a chance for them to make a name for themselves in this world?
S: Everyone has a chance to make a name for themselves within Karkaura, you just have to put yourself out there and do your best acts in hopes they will notice and support you. Helping people, getting a job, having the public love you.
K: How do you think these new families will shape Karakura? Is it for the better or for the worse?
S: I think it will shape the town for the good. We need better families in this town unlike in the past with certain people being in high positions of power.. Koji and Akihito come to mind about being lowered reputation wise on what their family members did to this town.
…
After Souta I attempted to interview some other people to get a wider range of information for such questions! However many participants were not very engaging…
[!] Cutting to a bright pink haired woman, she kind of stared soullessly into the camera for a moment and then the strangest, and yet most pitiful attempt at Japanese exited her mouth… soon morphing into english beyond comprehension. [!]
A: What? Err dunno who the f*** Itsuuuubioshi? Family is mate, nah nah they sound like they came from the Murray River down south of er, whats it called oh yeah, down south of the side street or somethin’. Maybe Tassie or something, anyway nah mate, got no idea I am ju- oh f*** I'm speaking English. Bloody doofus I am.
…
My apologies, no, I dunno who those guys are, they seem cool though mate.
[!] A return to the interviewer as she stood there clearly annoyed and walked off with her recording device clearly heard before the recording closed of “Remind me why i f****** speak to people…” recording closed. [!]
Well! That is the end this interview, clearly there is a chance for people to arise and take the place of old Itsbyoshi Families and a new generation will rise while the others will continue to grow in power and prestige but remain hidden in their own worlds.
Fine! (Finish)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

Rise in risk, will government officials step up to offer more support to Emergency Factions as crime rates continue to rise?
It is no surprise that officers and government officials have been monitoring recent crime rates as they spike through with another outbreak. Many of those faces featured upon the pinned feed of the mug shots section seem to fall below the adult mark and many people who have been speaking showed that almost 80% were students. But who could be to blame for such actions as more and more children turn to delinquency over their own education, compelled by the enticement of criminal activities or is it the thrill of the chase?
Many people continue to be affected by these changes and flows in time with crime, some becoming enemies of said gangs, others trying to bring peace and more trying to make a stand in history. However with a rise in crime there is also a rise in the request to deal with such issues which inevitably fall onto the dept of the Karakura Police Department which is closely tied to the Karakuran Emergency Department. Some people have been asking the question if fundings or assistance is being offered to the Emergency factions in offering support to those affected whether through psychological trauma or physical issues. This would give them a chance to tend to those affected from the rising crime rates that continue to plague the city. However not only is the Emergency Faction affected by the challenges of society's changes but the Police force becomes affected too. Such rising tensions between the demand for medical support and the demand for protection can place a heavy toll on large groups. The police themselves can only handle as much crime as their systems are built to withstand and the protocols and rules they must abide by take action in day to day situations. Funding for such big groups is beneficial but also is not preventable for the consistently rising crime rates and forces of modernisation. But the blame does not fall upon the Emergency Factions of Karakura and instead studies could be taken to focus more on what is leading children to lead a life of crime.
Some psychological factors could fall upon one's responsibility to commit and become a part of the darker underworld that is breathing beneath Karakura. Many studies around the world have shown a close tie between crime rate can be linked to the livelihoods of those residents within a city. Things such as cost of living, lack of education or low education levels and opportunities offered in cities should become accountable in reviewing data. However what leads to the confusion is Karakura’s income for employees is stable and suitable with many apartments and residences across the bay giving a variety of price options. Yet as well the city offers free education to both citizens of Japan and international students from across the world with high end, engaging and beneficial learning options. The city also offers for the students many events, unique styles of living such as dormitories or apartments across the city and also for the other citizens engaging and immersive events almost every month of the year. However if these physical factors are clearly up to high standard for residents within Karakura the blame could maybe fall upon mental or psychological trauma and affects.
Psychological trauma or anything to do with psychological events stems from the experiences these people have gone through. Due to such high crime rates it is only predicted that witnesses of such incidents end up following in the same steps due to trauma or other personalised reasonings. However due to personal turmoil and the lack of assistance or mental health help through the psychologists across Karakura this problem continues to grow amongst young delinquents. This could be family oriented, social or even being a part of a gang from early exposure which leads to such traumatic events being presented to young students who then continue the criminal activities. Many people believe that Karakura’s crime rate divulged from the traumatic experiences many of which seem to be involved in and witness. With their involvement also comes the desire to get revenge causing them to sink into the deeper whole of the crime which plagues Karakura. Continuing the trend of the high crime rate which government officials are unable to keep under the carpet as more and more surface.
Now the worry for citizens around the island is who will step in to offer such funding or assistance to support the Emergency factions in such dire situations. While the Government could be a possible helping hand in the funding but due to the wide spread duties of such officials in managing the chaos island that there would be a nervous consideration to how far the support would reach. Maybe funders from within the city’s walls with big names like Saiky, Akihito, Kaede, Zennix or other corporations and corporate families stepping in to take responsibility for such opportunities boosting their rank and support.
But this takes organisation and it could be months before changes are seen or occur in the crime rate, alterations in the schedules and support from new and old rising families. In time this may be a change which could alter the course of the Emergency factions and the possible change in the reduction of crime rate.
