Rework around Attributes

What's the title of your suggestion?: Rework around Attributes

What's your suggestion?:
There have been quite a few people who have already talked about how grindy and tedious the attributes are and well while I do agree, its made like that to reward the people who actually take the effort and time to level their attributes. So how about a system that rewards players for their effort while making it less tedious, but doesn't mess with the overall Rp experience.
How about this attributes could only be leveled up so far before they start regressing Exp you reached level 50 for speed, now lets say you level up that attribute to 55 lets say you take 1 weeks away from the server (dont know the exact calculations for that lets just say (6.0h/d) (OOC/IC) meaning 24 days in IC your speed attribute goes down like 5 percent or something and it keeps regressing till you comeback on but there is always a minimum like 50 of all attributes so that they totally just don't go back to 0 if you had something important happen in OOC and couldn't come on for several weeks. Maybe even change the minimum to reward the sports players more. The specifics I wouldn't be able to full tell you, that might be more trial and error with the community.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
This would definitely motivate newer players to actually level up their attributes and even stick to one or two for sports, while also giving into the idea like a pro football player, wont beat a pro swimmer and etc. So I really do believe this system could honestly make the experience a bit more fun.

From personal experience and people's comments on other suggestions, grinding attributes isn’t the most IC-friendly activity (I'm a firm believer that attributes should be grinded passively, but many people don't think this way and prefer to maximize their grind instead of pairing it up with RP). Many players have spent days just to max out a single attribute. Introducing a system where inactive players lose levels would only make it harder for returning players to rejoin after a break. On top of that, this change doesn’t really have any benefits; it would only make the attributes plugin even more grindey, forcing players to log in frequently just to keep their stats.

TL;DR - Rather than punishing people for being inactive, the plugin should instead focus on rewarding those who are active.

I was also a firm believer in this before I had to become a Volleyball tag with less than 10% speed. Reality was that it is almost impossible to RP without the attributes influencing it in any way. Talking is one thing, but running or escaping situations is another (both RP situations), and there is a considerable gap between people who have better attributes. I want to say that I found it much easier to 'grind' the attributes, but the fact is that attributes themselves are tough to ignore in SRP if your character has to move.

I'd -1 this. I agree with Yonio; we need to find ways to reward people who are active rather than punishing those who are inactive. OP mentioned 'making the progress less tedious,' yet decreasing the levels due to ooc reasons feels like the opposite; It will make it even more tedious and make people even more focused on grinding than the RP itself.

Why take away attributes after people work so hard for it. If people go on breaks from SRP they shouldn't be punished for it.

I guess I didn't specify but the progression rate for attributes would significantly increase. Although It might be to late to say that.

It doesn't matter if the progression rate increases, this is punishing lack of motivation to play SRP which will make people quit the server.

I understand why you think this would be something neat to add, but at the same time, it, like many others have said, would punish those who go on long breaks from SRP. I, for one, would feel even more unmotivated to join back if I knew my attributes would have lowered in the time I was gone, because I would just feel slower, and fall behind.
