In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
The receptionist at a school is a central figure in the running of the school, the first point of contact for both students and crucially. Duties include breaking up fights, helping new students, handling questions, and maintaining order in the entry office. The receptionist is also a key player in monitoring student attendance, maintaining documentation, and student appointments, and offers general administrative support to faculty and staff. The role will be to establish a friendly, yet professional working environment and to see that security procedures are followed. The school receptionist needs to be well organized, detailed, and able to keep confidentiality along with being able to work well in a fast paced environment under pressure.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I first joined Schoolrp back in 2018 when it was newer. I did leave due to the lack of activity. A couple years later, I joined again and started to get back into it. I got interested in learning how the factions work, so i began to play a lot more and be involved in more of the roleplay, do this day i get on every week/weekend to roleplay with people i have actually met. I do say i do enjoy roleplaying and wish to continue to roleplay in this server, and even experience more behind the school factions, and what if has to offer in-game.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I want to join the School Employee faction because I want to represent the School Employee caucus. I know that at the center of every community is a school, and I appreciate joining a team that creates a safe, healthy, welcoming community for students and staff. As a receptionist I realize that I would be the first person most people spoke to when they come into the school and I take it as my responsibility to portray the school as a calm, professional and friendly place. I like being able to help others with any situation that they need help with. I like being part of a system that encourages learning and growing as a person. I also appreciate working in positions that involve a high level of organization, communications, and attention to detail — all skills that I have and am keen on advancing with.

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
She would take a deep breath and remain calm while strengthening her posture. She would make direct eye contact, but to avoid escalating the problem, she would ask the student to please watch their language before moving forward with the conversation. As she placed her hands onto the counter, she kept a cool warm tone “I understand that you’re upset. However, please speak politely without saying any negative words. ” After that, she would try to shift the topic at hand somewhat. She might ask if there is a specific issue or problem they wanted to talk about and let them know that she is always there to help in a positive way.
If it still continued I would calmly radio in for another staff member to come step in and try to help deescalate the problem with the student.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
She would rush over to the two students with her radio in her hands "Hey, stop! This isn’t the way to handle things!" Her tone would be firm, but not aggressive, in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. She’d place herself into the middle of the two. She would scan to make sure the two students needed medical assistance. Afterwards, she would let them know that they needed to avoid each other so one needed to go that way and the other one needed to go the opposite way. If they did not comply they would both get a detention warning, After that warning if they kept going she would kindly hand that one that started the fight a detention slip and send them on their way. For further information if they had not stopped fighting she would call for SLT.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Areum’s first priority would be to ensure the safety of others, tell students to move back away from the situation. She would call the other teacher by their name, and step into the teachers staff room to have a little chat with them to get information about what they were doing/saying. Her body tone would remain calm and professional that way the other teacher didn't feel like they were being attacked by her. She would radio in “ Is there any other staff that will be willing to come to the teachers break room? “ Calmly but surly when the situation is handled she would document all that happened for further evidence.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?:
Areum being a friendly, approachable colleague, that remained calm in all situations, but being a little more relaxed due to it being the break room.

/me Placed her hands onto the counter as her light brown eyes scanned the front of the school entrance making sure no fights were about to break out. One of her tiny hands would grip onto the school radio, pushing onto the radio button “ Good morning ! Today is Monday and I hope everybody has a great week! “ She let go of the button as her eyes scanned the area for any teachers/professors
/me Stood up from her chair, her body swaying around to exit the area, her short self would rush over to the two students that were about to start throwing punches as her voice tone raised above the others around her “ HEY, STOP THAT FIGHTING” as she would put herself between the two before speaking to the two " I think its time to break it up and walk the opposite ways, before one of you gets hurt and has to go see the nurse " She'd point to the opposite ways with her radio in her hand just in case she needed back up
/me gently tapped the male professor on the back with one of her hands before clearing her throat “ Ahmm, Mr Professor, Would you mind helping me with something? “ Her tone in her voice was very smooth and calm, as her mouth turned into a curled smile, as she waited for the professor to turn around and answer her, As the Professor turned around, he would meet a 4'7 lady standing there with her gaze up at the male. " could you help me with something? "

Areum was born at Seoul National University Hospital at 3am in the morning with just her two parents. They had named her Areum Maru, which was a beautiful name for her. She was 7 pounds, and 21 inches. Her mother Soobin Maru and her father Jiro Maru were very happy at the name they picked for their first child. Her mother was up all night in the hospital with her little girl, changing her diapers, feeding her, and spending some loving times with her. After a while from spending the time in the hospital they got to take her to their lovely home in Seoul. Their home was a two bedroom place, small enough for two kids and a pair of parents.
Areum’s room was decorated in all pink, just for a little girl, as well with a crib that was against a window to bring in sunlight for their lovely little one and some educated toys and a changing table right next to the crib. The house was so warm with the love the family had, you would be able to feel it floating in the air. The next couple of weeks would go horrible due to having a newborn at home and the father away on business to take care of his wife and their new baby girl. After a year passed by, Areum had her first birthday! Her grandparents came by to happily celebrate her day with her as well as her parents being there! They had gotten her a big birthday cake with some pink blow out sparkles for her to blow out when it came the time. Nothing like a birthday huh?
After a couple of years went by and Areum was around the age of 4, her mother had fallen sick due to being pregnant with her second child! ANOTHER CHILD!?!? But this time it wasn't a girl. . Maybe a boy? Her mother wished and wished upon a boy since they already had their own little girl, now they needed a boy! After they had found out that it was indeed a BOY, they celebrated by going out, and eating with each other while Areum was with her grandparents for the night inside of her own home! Areum was indeed a big sister for the first time ever. She had mixed feelings about it as her mother couldn't help her play with her toys or be able to run around the house due to being pregnant.
After her mom got way too big in the belly her grandparents had to come live with them for a while until the new baby was born. They were there to help with Areum as she was running with energy at her age, and to help take care of the house while the father was always away on business trips. The grandparents split up the duties of taking care of Areum and the house duties as one would take her to the park and the other one would focus on the house, then the next day they would switch off. They did that back and forth until it was the day that their daughter went into labor with Areum's little baby brother.
A couple of weeks later, her baby brother was born at the same hospital that Areum was born at, weighing 6 pounds and 11 inches long. He was smaller than Areum. They had spent a couple of days inside the hospital with him as Areum was at home with her grandparents due to her mother going into labor. After her mom had come home and was able to show Areum her new brother things got a little easier for the parents as the mom would know what to do due to already having a child. Her brother had a very blueish room that had animal wallpaper on the border of the wall with stuffed animals and educated toys laid out on the floor for the little one to play with. The crib was laid against a wall that had stickers of animals pressed onto it and a mobile machine above the crib to help the baby sleep. Areum was sooo happy to see her mother and her baby brother at home but was sad that her father was always busy due to having his own business now. A week went by and it was time for Areum to finally go to school for the first time ever! Her school was just right around the corner from their home, that was a plus for the family cause her mother didn't have to walk a long way to take her little one to school! Areum was happy to be able to go to school, she wanted to meet friends and meet her teachers as well!
The first day of school came for Areum as she got up in the morning from her mother waking her up with her baby brother in her hands. As the first day happened Areum would bring friends home from school showing them her baby brother as letting them play with her toys with her. Her mother would make sure that after her friends came over and went home after that Soobin would remind Areum that she needed to study for school even though she was only a little child, it doesn't hurt to start them early. At the age of 4, she had learned that studying and being smart was the only way to be successful in life just like her father. After that day she focused a lot more into her studies, as she barely brought any more kids home from school. Her mind was focused so much that she barely came out of her room, and if she did she would only do her needs that she needed to do before she went to bed. As her school year went by her studies would become more important than a friendship to her, she wanted to make her mother proud of her along with her father.
For a while there her baby brother was able to communicate with her since he had been around his mother a lot. That would allow him to speak Korean and a little Spanish since he was still at a young age. Areum and her brother played with a lot of educated toys. His sister would also read her books that were in other languages to help him understand his family more. Their mother loved seeing the two together. She liked the idea of Sarang helping her brother. It brought her heart to a warm place that she had never felt before. Soobin was able to do more free things since Sarang would help with her brother before heading into her room for her studies.
After her first year of school she graduated from her first year of school. Areum went on to grade to grade taking in a lot of education that would help her graduate in her older ages. She would sit in her room for a couple of hours with textbooks from school with notes in them, studying over them and taking down notes. Areum’s mother would sometimes call for her to have her help with her little brother, then she would come out of her room for a little while to distract her brother, allowing her mom to get some things done. . Soobin liked that her daughter was being a helpful sibling towards her little brother, but she knew it was important for Areum to be in her room for a couple of hours to study. Her room was filled up with books, her laptop, her phone, her notes, and her textbooks that helped fill her head with information that she needed to know when she got older. When Areum would have text at school, she’d be able to get all the questions correct from having all the information inside of her big headed brain.
After years passed, she went to University to get her bachelor's Degree at a near by college. Her first year in college, was the hardest for her as she struggled to organize her schedule and her time with her family. She often asked for help from her dear mother, but later her mother found out about her sickness, and she wanted to help her through-out her sick times, but couldn't due to her college work and college classes. through out her college years, she really focused into the books like she did back in the old days. She was even caught in the library at night times, but that didn't stop her from not coming back over and over again to continue her studies. She wanted to make her mother proud, as she passed due to her sickness. . She knew her mother wanted her to graduate college so she can become a receptionist. so she did, she did everything she could to make sure her mothers dream came true.
As years passed, Areum grew older by the day. .Her mother already left the earth, and her father traveling with her little brother. . She went to a near by school, Karakura and applied to become a receptionist. . As days passed she waited and waited for a answer. . .
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
When i was you was a young girl i always wanted to be a receptionist due to always helping my brother when he was little. I believe being a receptionist, and helping people is my passion in live. No matter the situation i always wanted to be there to help anyone in need, so i decided to apply to be able to help others in the school, and not just in public.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I should be accepted because i value helping others in different situations. I can bring all my assets to the table with me when i do join the team.
