Allowing edit access to house attics!

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Adding edit access attics in houses would make a cool crawl space and would also help players with lots of items to store their things while also allowing more space in the rest of the house for actual building purposes. It would also create a cool space to hide and it would be beneficial to those with bigger roofs who could fit rooms in their attic. Also I just think attic rooms are cute!

Okay I do love this idea, and really want it. But not every house has space for an attic and it would be unfair to sell them all for the same price and have some of them have what is effectively an extra floor compared to others...

Yes. If it is possible for ANY house, it should be implemented. The rationale that "WELL, if some houses can't have them, NO HOUSES should have them to keep it fair" does not appeal to me.

I prefer to bring more of a "let people have nice things as much as we reasonably can" vibe.
That being said, this sounds like a suggestion that has likely been made and rejected before.
I can only imagine there's SOME sort of good reason for it... But maybe not.

well not every house must have an attic, but when have a update when changes an city area, must be cool add some houses with attic
 
+1/-1 Having them would be nice, But for storage only, Most attics can just fit 2 block high stuff in, So chests

I agree somewhat. I think houses already vary in size because some have bigger backyards, making them smaller in size compared to others. If they have bigger roofs and an attic it would help balance that out to those with smaller houses! And I think even if you had a small attic it is still a place to store your chests so you can have more space for the rest of the house.
 
+1/-1 Neutral to this - it really depends on the build of the house, etc. Having an attic wouldn't benefit too much but if it's possible to logistically have viable attic space. Simply why not?

My house has no space for an attic, a clunky layout to work with inside, and the outside can barely be edited </3

But yeah I see your point

This involves alot of rebuilding of houses and may put pressure on builders.. alot.

If it is added this def wouldn't be something for EVERY house, likely just for like 1 or 2 certain styles of houses since there are ofc ranges in house sizes.
