Describe your activity on the server:
If I had to rate my activity out of ten , I would comfortably give myself an eight. Whether it's role-playing in rivalry or teaching people how to play volleyball, I usually spend an average of 6 to 8 hours on the server. However, often I spend more time depending on the amount of roleplay available. SchoolRP played a significant role in my childhood in 2016-17. During those years, I was very active, but I quit in 2018 since most of my friends had left. In 2023, I decided to come back and see if there were any changes, and there were many. During that year, I decided to learn volleyball and joined the high school females team, where I spent most of my time and met the majority of my friends. After winning the volleyball tournaments, I took a small break to focus on college. Around summer, I rejoined the same team. I’m sure you figured out that I’m a bit of a sports plugin fiend. Eventually, I noticed that I was getting burnt out of the same roleplay and needed new roleplay opportunities. In 2024, I joined college basketball females and proposed new ideas to the team. Unfortunately, my time on the basketball team was cut short due to the departure of several team members. Now I am back, and on the college volleyball females and the roleplay has been very fun. I won’t include a schedule of my availability, as I currently have an abundance of free time. You will most likely see me online every day, as I plan to stay on SRP now that I have graduated from college. I will, of course, notify any high-ups in advance if anything were to change.
What is your motivation for applying?:
There are multiple reasons for my motivation to apply to KPD. To start off, ever since I joined SRP, I have always admired KPD and their roleplay. I remember when I was a teenager; back then, officers were pretty intimidating whenever they showed up to deal with delinquents. I had expressed interest back then, but I was too shy to apply. Now, I want to engage in a new roleplay that I have never experienced, and that is KPD. Here and there, I would see officers running around, chasing criminals, and yelling “Halt,” which is pretty fun and looks very entertaining. I want to see how exactly criminals, if they do, escape from officers, and how the officers handle criminals resisting arrest. All I have ever done roleplay-wise is JockRP, which does not include any rolling the majority of the time. While JockRP and being in sports are fun, I need to experience something new. I want to fully understand how CombatRP works and experience the consequences of losing due to rolls. Another reason that I have applied is that when I was a student studying psychology in college, I watched multiple true crime documentaries, such as EWU (Explore With Us on YouTube), and it was fascinating to see what kind of techniques the detectives used for interrogations. Although I understand that this is not guaranteed, I will attempt to get a promotion to the detective division. Now that applications have opened, I can somewhat experience the duties and struggles of an officer, although I understand that it will not be fully accurate. My reason for not applying to any other factions is that, out of all the factions, KPD is the only one that I find fun and interesting. With the majority of my friends in KPD and how they described their experience, I have decided to finally apply.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
I have little to no knowledge of police work, except for the public information presented in official documents. However, I've made the effort to memorize the rules of KPD and familiarize myself with their ranks, duties, and equipment. Below, I will be listing the two divisions' ranks from highest to lowest.
Main Division | Detective Division |
|---|---|
Commissioner | Detective Superintendent |
Captain | Detective Chief Inspector |
Lieutenant | Detective Inspector |
Sergeant | Detective Sergeant |
Corporal | Detective Constable |
Patrol Officer | N/A |
Cadet | N/A |
Police Equipment
Item | Description |
Police Baton | A close-ranged tool that is given upon acceptance and used to detain criminals. To use the item effectively, you must be at least two blocks away from your target. The baton requires two hits to the target’s head in order to knock them out. Additionally, this tool can be stolen with proper Mug Permissions. |
Handcuffs | A pair of steel handcuffs, given to all officers, is used to hinder the target's hand movements. If the target decides to resist, an action and a successful roll must be done before proceeding. This item cannot be stolen from officers, and it is an immediate-range tool, meaning it has a range of one block. |
Police Radio | All emergency units are equipped with a waterproof communication device that cannot be stolen but can be broken. To destroy a police radio, a blunt or sharp weapon must be used. This item cannot be used as a weapon. |
Stun Blaster | A long-ranged (8 blocks) stun device that all officers are equipped with to prevent the target from moving. In order to take out this item whenever it is in range, an action and a successful roll must be done. Upon a successful hit, the target is immediately stunned for sixty seconds, and no roll is required. This item cannot be stolen from officers. |
Breathalyzer | A device that is used by all emergency units to evaluate how drunk a person is. Although the accuracy varies depending on its proximity to the KPD station. The item cannot be stolen or used as a weapon. |
Pepper Spray | A useful three-time tool that is used by all emergency units to cause temporary blindness to a target. For this tool to be effective, the target must not be wearing a gas mask. To use the tool within range, an action and a successful roll must be done, and upon a successful hit, the target is blinded for sixty seconds. No roll is required after the target has been hit. The pepper spray cannot be stolen. |
Tranquilizer | A long-range (Around 30 blocks) weapon that is given to officers once they have achieved the rank of a Sergeant and Detective Inspector. To be able to use this weapon in range, an action and a successful roll must be performed, and upon a successful hit, the target is unconscious for two minutes. In the case of reloading the tranquilizer in range, an action and a roll must be performed. Two darts are reloaded upon action. The tranquilizer cannot be stolen from officers. |
Riot Shield | A protective item used by all police officers. The Riot Shield has two modes, main-hand and off-hand. When this item is used in their main hands, the officers are not able to use offensive tools. However, any frontal or side damage will be nullified. In the case of the officer having their back covered, they can be pulled away with an action and roll. Additionally, the Riot Shield cannot be used offensively other than to push a target out of range. When it is used in the off-hand, the shield does not provide any defensive or offensive properties. However, it does allow them to wield offensive tools against a target. For the officer to switch modes or equip the shield, they must act and roll successfully. The shield can be stolen with proper Mug Permissions and is an immediate-range weapon (one block) |
Crowbar | A tool that is only given to Police Corporals or above and is used to pry open doors and containers. The majority of the time, this item is used to raid a target’s property. The crowbar can be stolen with an action and a successful roll, provided the character has the proper Mug Permissions. |
Body Camera | A waterproof camera attached to the front of all officers’ uniforms constantly records any interactions they have with others. The video is then stored and accessed from a cloud database. The camera cannot be stolen from the officer’s person; however, it can be destroyed with a blunt or sharp tool. Blunt objects require two hits to destroy the camera, while sharp objects require only one. The camera's functionality works similarly to a CCTV system, allowing it to display anything from the officer’s point of view. |
Gas Mask | A mask that is accessible to any on-duty officer to protect themselves from any biological dangers. The mask can be stolen from the officer with proper mug permissions, but an action and a successful roll must be performed. |
ItemRP
Item | Description |
Luminol Spray | A container that all officers are equipped with to identify blood on surfaces. This spray is primarily used on weapons, and to avoid detection, the weapon must be cleaned with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, bleach, and water. The luminol spray cannot be stolen. |
Disposable Latex Gloves | Gloves that are worn by all officers to avoid fingerprints. The gloves cannot be stolen. |
Fingerprint Scanner | A device that can be used to tell if a fingerprint matches a target’s result upon a fingerprint scan. Fingerprint scanners are accessible to all officers. |
First-Aid Kit | An emergency kit that can be used to prolong the target’s bleed-out timer for five extra minutes. A very useful item that is accessible to all on-duty officers whenever an ambulance is unavailable. |

There are two police vehicles assigned to higher-ups. The police bikes that are given to corporals, and the police cruisers that are given to sergeants.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Out of character, the reason why PoliceRP is important to SchoolRP is that it encompasses the roleplay that occurs outside of school, such as CrimeRP and GangRP. Every faction is equally important, and it’s the glue that makes SchoolRP the way it is. I believe that people who enjoy CrimeRP would not enjoy it as much if there were no consequences or the thrill of being caught. You can easily say the same for PoliceRP; without crime, there is barely any roleplay to be done as an officer, which is why having a police department makes it all complete. Additionally, SchoolRP has laws in place, and not having a department to enforce those laws would detract from the realism that SchoolRP strives to achieve. Moreover, the hospital would barely get any patients if citizens or officers didn’t have any risk of being hurt. Most importantly, the reason why police are important to SchoolRP is to add immersion to the server, allowing citizens to call an emergency department and engage in more roleplay for their character. In conclusion, it’s not just the police that are important to SchoolRP, but all the factions, because that’s what makes SchoolRP the way it is.
In character, having the police department helps the citizens of Karakura by patrolling, raiding gang-affiliated properties, monitoring CCTV, and enforcing the law. Without a police department, gang-affiliated members would cause citizens to stay at home and students to skip school because of the little to no protection they have. The duty and goal of police officers is to make sure the city doesn’t fall into complete chaos. The Karakura Police Department also collaborates with the Emergency Medical Services by escorting them to the hospital or by providing protection at the scene in cases where immediate medical attention is required. Overall, the police department plays a major role in the city, and without it, the city would be nothing but anarchic.

What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
Anzai does not know any languages other than Japanese as of right now.
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Anzai has a confident presence that naturally drew an eye long before even speaking a word. Forest green eyes. Sharp. Assessing. Seemingly taking in an entire room in one sweep. They carried a quiet intensity behind them. Impossible to ignore. Framing his facial features was a ruffled up mop of messy blonde hair that seemingly refused to be tamed, strands forever falling out of their place no matter how many times they had been pushed back. The lack of perfection in his hair contrasted with the rest of him. Controlled, composed, and effortlessly sure of himself. Everything about him radiated confidence, yet not in a loud, boastful way. Rather, the lax set of his shoulders, the slight tilt of a calm posture that showed he was comfortable no matter where he stood. He moved like someone who was utterly certain of who he is.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Professional Situation
Anzai is very disciplined when it comes to working at the KPD. Arriving early and clocking in on time will always be the case for Anzai. He always reflects on his actions and asks a colleague if there was anything he could have done better. If there was something he did not understand, he would not hesitate to ask until he had grasped the information. If he had to work overtime, he would do it without asking any questions. To put it simply, he is an overachiever. He would shut down any form of small talk that was unrelated to the job and would tell them to focus on the task at hand. Anzai would also be on high alert, hyper****yzing everyone's movement and detail; it would be hard to catch him off guard. If he were snuck up on, he would immediately take action and would try to subdue the “attacker.” Needless to say, he does not joke around and wants the best for the city and himself.
Casual Situation
In a casual setting, Anzai would have a complete 180 in personality. To most people, they wouldn’t even recognize him when he’s talking and acting casual. Anzai would be very talkative, approachable, and he would feel free from his duties. You could say that Anzai would be at his most vulnerable state, as he would let his guard down just enough for any harmless prank. When people see this side of him, their opinions are likely to change, and they will find him enjoyable to be around. He would host parties for his colleagues, offer to pay the bill at restaurants, and overall just ensure everyone was having a great time.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Co-workers
Anzai defines co-workers differently depending on the job. To him, co-workers in school, gift shops, or even restaurants are just ordinary colleagues who clock in and try to get the day over with. To him, those types of co-workers are as close as those who work in the emergency field. Although he respects those who work, he sees those who work in something more dangerous as life partners. He believes that people who work in the emergency field should treat their coworkers like family and not just refer to them as “co-workers.” He’ll find it disrespectful as they’re all risking their lives for the sake of others.
Teamwork
Although Anzai may seem unapproachable on duty, he values teamwork and considers it a very important and essential value in life. You can never do things completely alone, especially not working in the police force. The phrase “I help you, you help me” doesn’t completely apply to Anzai, as he will always help his partners, regardless of the circumstances.
What's your character's backstory?
Childhood [0-12]
It was a cold night on February 24, 1996. The cries of a baby echoed in the room, and the hums of a mother were heard. Anzai was born into the Uemara family alongside two brothers and a sister. The Uemara family was very wealthy and highly traditional. The moment he was brought into this world, expectations were laid on him, and Anzai didn’t even know. Ayako and Hiroshi Uemara were loving parents to Anzai and wanted the best for their children. Success wasn’t just an option for them; it was the norm. Growing up, Anzai would be taken to school, learning how to speak, write, and make many friends. Not a single school day was missed, nor was a single assignment left undone, not that Anzai had any other choice. When Ayako asked her son what he wanted to pursue when he grew older, Anzai was left speechless. He didn’t really think about any of that yet; he was just a child, so of course the only words he could think of were
“I don’t know.”
Ayako wasn’t expecting a legitimate response from him; it was more of planting a seed to think about what to pursue. And so, as the years went by, Anzai was left pondering what to do with his life.
Teenage Years [13-18]
The Uemara traveled to Karakura, where Anzai went through middle and high school, and at the end of every school year, the same question was asked of him.
“What do you want to do with your life?”
The question echoed in his head, and it was as if he were going insane, the same question being asked over and over again. When high school came around, everything changed. He grew tired of this constant expectation that he needed to be successful. He wasn’t old enough to understand his mother's intentions, so he just told her to stop asking him. And so, Anzai became a bit rebellious during his high school years, hanging around with some bad apples. He wouldn’t complete his homework, disobey the teacher, and his grades were slipping. A terrible turnaround for the young Uemara compared to his other brothers. Jirō, who caught the attention of recruiters when playing baseball, was offered a spot at Hosei University, a prestigious university in Tokyo. Akinori, the eldest brother, pursued a career in law enforcement and became a notable officer for eighteen consecutive years. Jirō later followed in Akinori’s footsteps, and Anzai was left behind by no other fault than his own. Anzai looked up to his brothers, especially Jirō, but Jirō wasn’t around much due his focus on baseball. He needed to focus studies as well, so he didn’t have much time to give to his younger brother, Anzai. Time was precious, and with every year passing by, it looked like Anzai was going to slip away. At 17, Anzai was later caught tagging a wall with the group of said friends by no other than his older brother Akinori. A face that Anzai would never forget, which his brother had given him. Akinori was left disappointed and sad that his younger brother turned out this way. Luckily, Anzai was only given a fine that the family could easily pay off, and so he was given an earful by his parents. Jirō heard about what happened with Anzai and was baffled at the situation. He decided to go to Anzai’s room after he was finished getting scolded by their parents.
“Hey. . .”
A somewhat awkward start to a conversation, although who can blame Jirō for the situation?
“What do you want?”
Anzai responds with tears that were filling up his eyes, but not enough to cause a teardrop yet.
“Why are you doing this? Why are you acting the way you’re acting?”
The confusion of Jirō was real, and he wanted to understand Anzai, but unfortunately, Anzai was too hurt by it all.
“Why do you care? You’re never around anyway, at least you’re in Hoshei and our parents are proud of you.”
Anzai didn’t mean to hurt Jirō’s feelings, and most importantly, wanted his attention more than ever, but Jirō didn’t see it that way. Jirō tucked in his lips and gave a small nod as he was walking out of the room. Before walking out, he said one sentence that stuck with Anzai.
“I’m disappointed in you, solely because I believed in you.”
And so, Jirō left the room, and that was the last time they ever spoke to each other. Anzai thought about his word for a long time before deciding to get his life together. Like before, Jirō was a brother whom he highly looked up to, and he didn’t want to disappoint him, and even less after hearing that he believed in him. Anzai decided to follow in his shadow, a huge shadow that would be hard to overcome. He finishes his final high school year with the best grades he has ever had and decides to move out of town to pursue a career in forensic science. Not a single goodbye was given to his family as he felt like he was a disappointment and a disgrace to the Uemara name. He boards the airplane and looks out of the window as he departs from Karakura, Japan.
University Life [19-28]
“You are now arriving at Osaka, Japan.”
The airplane intercom echoed through the cabin as people began waking up and shifting around as we prepared for landing. Upon exiting the plane, Anzai looks at his phone, checking the time and the address of his dormitory. He takes a taxi, which later drops him off at the dormitory, and starts his university student life. Anzai is locked in than ever before, staying up late at night, burning his textbooks into his memory, and watching documentaries. His favorite pastime was to buy detective solo games to solve made-up cases using clues provided by the game. Year after year, he would ace his finals and didn’t want to disappoint his brother Jirō. Although Jirō has no clue where Anzai is and his plans, he still wanted to impress him and show that Jirō's belief in him wasn’t a mistake. Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science, he continued to push forward. Having only a bachelor's degree was not enough to prove to the family that he was worthy of the Uemara name. The Uemara’s intelligence ran in the family as he used his family wealth for good and efficiently. Two years later, he obtained a Master’s degree in Forensic Science, but that was still not enough. Anzai knew that Jirō had a bachelor's in Criminal Justice, and so another goal was set in his sights. College parties and relationships were not an option for Anzai as he considered them distractions, but social skills were an important factor in life. During the summer, he would go out and make a couple of friends, but never a romantic relationship. He respected women’s time and knew he wouldn’t make time for them as he pursued his goals. After sleepless nights and constant hard work, he finished his Criminal Justice course. Anzai wasn’t just dedicated to his goals, he was obsessed with them. The obsession to become better and never reach such lows.
Present Life [29]
Anzai packed up his bags and booked a ticket back to Karakura, where the Uemara family still remained. He decided to rent an apartment and not let the family know about his arrival. He was still embarrassed about his actions, and although not serious, he didn’t see it that way. A couple of weeks passed by, and he made his way to the police station to submit his application. Bzz. bzz. A phone call from an unknown number rang on his phone.
“Hello, this is the Commissioner from Karakura Police Department. Do you have a minute?”
A The world around him became quiet as he heard the sound of his own heartbeat.
“Of course.”
A short and direct response.
“We’d like to interview you. What time works best?”
Anzai looked at his empty schedule.
“Any time and any day, I can come in.”
Anzai paced around his apartment while he was on this call.
“Perfect, how about right now then?”
A sudden request, but Anzai wasn’t afraid, a bit nervous to see his brother again, but never scared.
“Sure, I’ll be on my way.”
Anzai took a shower and dressed appropriately. His hair was messy, but it was always like that. He steps foot into the interview room where the questions begin.

General knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“No, everyone should know that owning a pocket knife is illegal and will be sentenced to prison for three months if caught.”
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription.
“Five medical items that don’t require a prescription? Let’s see, there’s iron supplements, multivitamins, melatonin, paracetamol, aspirin, and cough syrup. Now for the more physical items, it’d be a wooden cane, eyepatches, glasses, and hearing aids. And yes, I am aware I’ve named more than five, I just want you to know that I know my stuff.”
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“If I saw one of my co-workers physically abusing an inmate, I would first turn my body camera on and immediately intervene. The reason for turning my body camera on first is that if it’s a co-worker who outranks me, I must have some sort of proof to back up my story for intervening. I don’t want to lose my job after all. After pulling away from my co-worker, I’ll attempt to calm them down and radio for backup. If the inmate was not taken care of upon backup arriving, I’d check up on the inmate to see if they are critically injured. If they are, I will attempt to render first aid and call EMS. Our job is to protect and serve, not to harm and kill. I would be very disappointed in my colleagues if I saw them act that way. I understand that they are criminals, but no one should be subject to abuse, especially if they are already unarmed and dealt with. We must follow the law and trust in our judicial system.”
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“Good question, assuming that I’m on-duty during the interaction, my bodycam is already on. Now, depending on how many people are assaulting my colleague, I would radio for backup. I’ll explain the situation and include the number of attackers. If it were just one person, I’d pull out my stun blaster and warn the assailant to stop, or they would be stunned. One warning is enough, and if they did not heed my warning, I’d immobilize them and place them under arrest for assault. Once the assailant has been dealt with, I’d ask the assaulted officer if they need any aid. If the officer is unresponsive, I’ll call for EMS immediately and try to render first aid if possible. I’d do anything in my power to keep they are safe. After the situation is settled, I’d give my report to the high authority and ask if there was anything else I could’ve done. I’m open to improvement.
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“If I found that one of my co-workers is corrupt? Hmm, this is a tough one. Well, the obvious answer is to report it to a higher authority; however, an accusation like this is very serious. I would need to gather evidence for my claim. Having said this, finding the evidence is no easy task and actually dangerous to do alone. I mean, they are helping a criminal organization, so getting caught snooping around trying to gather evidence is definitely a way to knock on death’s door. Personally, I’d express my concerns to another co-worker, more specifically, someone who specializes in detective work. Teamwork and coordination are important factors in this field. Although I will be honest, I’d definitely have my guard up because if one of them is corrupted, who knows how many there could be? You can’t take risks in this situation.”
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“If a criminal tried to bribe me? Well, I’m sorry if this seems unprofessional, but I couldn’t help but laugh at them for a bit. I mean, we are talking about a criminal here, right? I’d simply pull out a pen and paper and start writing them a fine for bribery. There is no need to warn or educate a criminal about the law, as it’s clear that they don’t seem to respect it. They can learn through their actions.”

I'm changing the IGN '24phantoms' to 'Lectina' on the 16th of November. I chose this IGN as a joke with my friend.
