what's an opinion you'd protect with your life

As much as I love and adore it, SpiritRP has had a rather harmful impact on SRP's typical roleplay

I agree with old shading being better and constant detailRP being unappealing.

I'll add my own: OOC friend groups dictate IC interactions more than it should, especially when it trickles into faction-related IC stuff.

That's actually so real. It's something that's probably never gonna change since OOC friend groups have more say about scenarios and interactions, more so than a traditional IC interaction without any OOC intervention.

yeahh... i try to practice old shading here and there just because why not, but haven't done it recently.
It's one of those things we kinda took for granted to be honest. Time took its toll and not many people want old shading anymore. The main reason being that it doesn't fit with the current meta, but hopefully more people will want older shading in the future!

Oh 100%, it's something that will exist no matter what. I've unfortunately just seen, and directly experienced, this sort of process ruin IC scenarios for my character. Like, an entire dynamic cut off randomly with no RP to transition it.

It's something we need to learn to work with. We can't be expected to cut off OOC friends but finding common goals and ensuring no OOC intervention inside of serious RP take place, so it doesn't ruin the nature of it. It's the same for /p2k, it cheapens the impact of getting to know the character by skipping every interaction and immediately knowing everything about that specific character without the effort of attainting that knowledge ICLY.

under certain circumstances i would use p2k, but at the best of my ability personally i try to learn about people via IC means

Its completely up to personal opinion tbh, I also prefer to obtain information though IC means but I can understand skipping the chit chat. It just isn't for me

I have many opinions, and I'm glad that I can express them without judgment.

1. Don't date fellow srpers

Roleplaying WILL affect your relationship if you cannot accept the fact that roleplays are JUST fiction

2. Players are attracted to how someone's skin is designed

Someone's shading shouldn't be the reason why you roleplay with them; it should be because you like how they roleplay. I don't like how players assume someone is something all because of how their skin is shaded.

3. Jock rpers are just gang rpers in disguise

4. Players get mad at you when you choose to add mystery to roleplay

Adding a bit of mystery makes it fun. Why do they need to know everything OOCLY?

5. Disorders should be something that you need to apply for

I have seen too many people RP disorders offensively and based off stereotypes. It breaks my heart.

6. Permissions should be brought back.

Asking for OOC permission to kill off a character is unrealistic; roleplay needs to have consequences, and it makes it more fun.

I think I've done enough. Thank you for reading :)

THIS. Oh my GOD finally someone says something about it
I see way too many people portraying disabilities/disorders in a genuinely horrible fashion and it definitely should be something to consider adding to the application stuff as you said
