Note: I am aware I am applying on an account with a primary slot taken. After speaking to the black market faction lead, it was deemed alright. If this has changed, I am willing to shift it to my primary slot on this account

Describe your activity on the server:

Rating: ★★★★☆ (8/10)

I'm typically on SRP for several hours per day, doing various things from roleplay to building. This is why I'd say my rating is roughly 8 out of 10. I'm not perfect, and would never claim to be, but I do a lot even behind the scenes for SRP and the factions I am dedicated to. I hope this application can convey my passion, and display my reliability when it comes to being a faction member.

My time is incredibly flexible currently, and I can bend it to be online outside these ranges if needed. 6pm-7pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays are usually my College Swim Practice times! Though minimum of one is required per week.

What are your motivations in applying for the black market dealer role?

OOC Motivation(s)

What is my ooc motivation for black market you say? Well, one is the more concise community. BMDs often work amongst each other, and thus I search for a community where we can all work together and/or independently. Naturally, due to the job, BMDs may become rather close to one another. I want a faction where I feel welcomed, and others aren't afraid to voice their opinions of my events, etc. Honest feedback is incredibly important to me, as I do not just want a mediocre idea being sent out if someone has a genuinely better idea. Many of my friends have been in BMD, and have enjoyed their stay. Another thing that has got me hooked on the idea is crime itself. No matter how long I spend away, I always come crawling back to the community. I have a lot of passion for the faction as a whole, and I'd like a place to properly channel it with like-minded individuals. To me, BMD is more about the roleplay. I could have so many amazing experiences from the opportunity of being a BMD. Under the label of crime, it's even more adrenaline seeking. Something to spice up my current life. Overall, I really admire all that they do. Especially when theres only a few on the server. It means they must take on even more responsbility. I'm good with management and handling my affairs, which makes me a good fit for any businesses that may potentially need to be run. Though, of course, that comes with trust from the faction lead. I intend to prove my worth, rather than just speak it here.

IC Motivation(s)

What are my ic motives for joining the black market? One of the key things is about character development! I've explored EMS as the worker, Cinder Schneidewind, but what about other areas of SRP? This may sound too broad, especially when referencing why the black market in specific. Let me zero in. Cinder has prior been known for morality, in her lore. Yet, in Karakura, she has a mischevious edge. Now that wouldn't mean she would be driven to crime right?

Feeling abandoned by her family, she has reason to convert into this dangerous way of thinking. In her lore, provided below, she had a father who was an EMS worker, but also a criminal. Her older brother, seen to her, resents her for the family approving of her direction with life. The 'Golden' child. Volker was her rolemodel, and with the subsequent lack of comfort from him in regards to her EMS termination, Cinder spirals. Her entire life, based on being only a psychiatrist to the eyes of all. The nights she abstained from making friends and going out, like a normal child should experience. All of this weighs heavy on her conscious. After the termination, she found many didn't respond to her messages which furthered the idea that she may only be seen as a clinical professional rather than a human being. Due to the preceived unjust hate by her brother in addition, her logical mind deems it so that she give him a reason to hate her. So she can justify it to herself. In doing so, she wants to explore who she is with a close knit community that accepts her as is. To try and understand why her own father drifted to this side of life. Is it the greed, or did they genuinely treat him well? She knows it's probably the former, but the hint of self doubt whispers.

In my eyes, this makes the most sense career wise for one of my favourite characters. With her declining mental health, her world view becomes distorted.

Easter Egg

A cut segment from the meeting under the in-character section became prevalent. The interviewer’s legs crossed as they sat upon that plush couch, notebook in hand.

So, Doctor, what is your motivation for applying to this job? You must know it can be rather dangerous.

Her breath ceased its operation, halting the air in her throat at the depth of such a question. For a brief moment, a flicker of hesitation caught in her crystal blue gaze. Her mask pulled down, revealing the genuine feelings of the person below.

Passion, driven to desperation, driven to spite, she said, tone stern with an unspoken resolve. The woman adjusted her position, the old wooden chair creaking ominously. Her forearms came to rest upon her thighs, while her fingers steepled in clear thought. Her frame leaned forward, an awfully uncharacteristic atmosphere engulfing the room.I adored my work, I truly did. After my.. termination, I lost all purpose. My entire life was designed around being an EMS worker. Without it.. I lost my way,she paused, glancing towards a fight club poster hung against the wall, a tactical knife pinning it to the concrete.

When passion collapses, it makes way for the desperation to salvage what’s lost. In desperation comes opportunity, in a sense. I discovered the black market application, a diamond in the rough, I believe, she retrieved the application paper from her pocket, the anonymously inked words lingering upon the page,I needed something, anything, to throw a lifeline. This is it, this is what I have left.

The doctor sighed, fingers soon shifting to rub her temples in a circular rotation.

If my brother perceives me as my father’s child, then why don’t I follow in his footsteps and give him a real reason to detest me?She allowed the silence to emphasize her point, an inexplicable edge surfacing underneath her voice,This is the spite I harbour, to traverse my own path and prove I am not merely built on some fantasy ideal. I am more than what I’m perceived to be, and it’s about time people understand that.

Frankly? I amt i r e d.

What helps you to stand out from other applicants & what can you uniquely provide to the team?

I believe that something I can provide to the team is further unique ideas that other BMDs will be able to bounce their own off of. Working together, we can all plan things and have an open line of communication. I am incredibly passionate, especially in regards to the players on SRP. I want to provide the best experience for not only criminals, but also the quality of life for BMDs. I am a perfectionist, but that helps me be meticulous in what I do. I am patient, and understanding, so there is no worry of toxicity. I have no ban history on srp and a clean record. My dedication for SRP, and factions as a whole, is evident by the duration I've remained in almost everything I do. This shows that I will not just leave, and I am here for the long run if I obtain the position of BMD. I have an extensive history in many places on SRP, and I think this may also bring unique roleplay to the faction, as each experience brings new prespectives and growth.

What previous experience do you have in working with a team?

Sports

My first advance into the faction world of SRP. I joined this roughly 3 years ago to present. Even though this is a subfaction, it has taught me a lot about functioning with a group. Not only do teams meet up once or twice a week for hangouts, practices, etc, we also work together to host events along with event coordinators, but tournaments, scrims and so on all need to managed. I went from a regular member of HS Swim, to co-captain, and now College Swim Captain. It has genuinely been some of the best times, working together towards a common goal. I ensure my team are comfortable with decisions and they can even collaborate if they have any practice ideas, etc. As a captain, I've planned several joint practices with other teams. We discuss ideas in dms, and move forward with our teams.

Gangrp / Mafiarp / Crimerp

Once upon a time.. I was a THUG. I know... I know. This was a huge part of my life for SEVERAL years. The exact time is unknown but roughly 2 years is the estimate. Everytime I escape I am sucked back in I fear (lovingly). At the very start of my career, I worked with smaller gangs like The High Table and Raiko. I was fairly high in one of them, helping manage the gang. However, Raiko soon got merged into the like 3rd generation of Anarchy..? I'm not quite sure exactly what generation exactly it was, but I was there! I managed to stay and achieve a higher-up until disbandment for good. I was also a primary photographer so if you wantttt... I can get BMD pictures... bats my eyelashes in bribery (this is a joke plz). I participated in events held by the gang, and was the mediation within. After Anarchy, I watched over the gangs. I've always had an interest in observing before joining. I was then invited to Woodson Syndicate, which at the time I decided to take up said offer. I was also the mediation here, and participated in events where each person did their part to get things done. Yet, I think my most notable gang was the last I was in! Or rather.. Mafia heh. That's right, your pal here was in Immertreu. Lead by our lovely lead, Deno, it was fairly active! We secured the beach turf at the time through dedication and mangement, as well as even performed a gang official event by marking the beach parking lots and wreaking havoc with trucks.. yeah it was a lot. Regardless, one of my favourite experiences when working in a team towards a common goal. Heh.. I remember when we worked for Seikatsu as security under Immertreu and even had work with the current staff with signals to open the door. If you know, you KNOW.

EMS

Can never forget EMS! This is where my collaboration with others comes into play massively. One may think this comes from regular hospital procedures but noooooooope! Well okay thats not true, you DO work with others in procedures and do your part. For example, Doctors and Psychiatrists often work together. One may run an IV and some sutures, the other may x-ray the patient. That is my most consistent teamwork. However, there is a lot of internal factors that aren't seen by the public. Some of the old pamphlets? My colleagues and I aided in adding them into physical IC books! What about the handbook? YEP, some of us formatted the handbook together! Deligating tasks to one another, with the lead overseeing and helping with any questions we may have. Some old forum posts lost to time that were gonna be published.. those too were worked on with discussion and a group of volunteers. Even the suggestions I make for the emergency faction are sometimes helped by information my colleagues give me. It's genuinely lovely to work with them. Theres other projects Ive done for the faction, especially recenter, but It's all volunteered. I love contributing and working together with shared ideas from others to format something into reality. Bouncing ideas off of others is incredibly beneficial.

Town Hall / Government

Although town hall doesn't have much team work related interaction between members, there is a point where I moved from a regular member to the Head of Department. This significantly increased my probability of working together with trainees. I could teach them the fundamentals of what they need to know, and walk them through procedures. Especially if they had questions about trials. You don't give them the answer, but you help them produce their own! Another memory I have from here is internships. I accepted two interns, and asked my coworkers for their inputs on what their own jobs were like. I was only a lawyer, I can't claim to know everything about Governors and Judges now! I'd be the primary trainer, but be informed by these colleagues and even have guest appearances for any of their further questions. Together, we'd design what to teach them.

Other

Shops

Shopssssss my beloveds. I've been in the majority for 2 years at least pretty much. Umisachi was my first shop, Tsuki no Umi & Yeobo came next, then finally my newest one Seikatsu. Yeobo I have since left, however it was a great time there while it lasted. I would shout with another person, essentially collaboratively advertizing the place. Fun times! The one I desired to speak of most for this current section is Tsuki no Umi. Within this shop, I am a senior employee. My specialization is the greeter aspect, where usually 2 individuals stand at the front desk and bring customers to their seats. More so in the past, we'd have to tell the waiters where was sat the players. What number of booth for example, and what was on the table for that specific waiter to get their section. Greeters would also alternate between each other. As a senior employee, I got to train them as well. I would take on events for the various shops I am in, working the booths with or without others. Things of the sort!

Hoshino Productions

Hoshino Productions! The entertainment agency I was part of for over a year. Here we would perform for events, whether self hosted or deligated from others. My first event was an official server flash event where my colleagues and I had to perform together. Make no mistake, this takes a lot of practice and consideration. While underneath the hoshino label, I also performed for the school masquerade event that I was graciously allowed to act in. Here I worked with the lead to ensure their plans went as smoothly as possible for the night time management wise. Finally, the Hoshino Production stage event. We spent days rehearsing in several groups. Mine consisted of my colleague, Rose, and then the rest of the male performers for the night. We had to assign choreo with mutual ideas, figure out lines and the overall image we wanted convey. I made some outfits, and my friend's keen eye helped pick what was right for them representation wise. I am grateful for the opportunities I've had here.

Gardening Club

This was present in my life for over a year similar to a lot on srp. The main team related things I did here was being an event planner! All the volunteer event planners would VC and discuss club server wide events. I'd offer my ideas and others would bounce back the information they thought about it. We all worked incredibly hard to do that Spring event, and I am proud of the work we achieved. It was a blast. I've worked several events for the club too, and have fond memories of the individuals here. Especially the giants on the beanstalk.. yeah I sound crazy.

What suggestions do you have to help better the crime faction?

Criminal Business Ideas

We bringin’ it back; Crime Clinic

Last time I expressed interest in the Crime Clinic, I was notified it was on indefinite hiatus! Tsk tsk, who’s gonna treat all those thugs?! I mean totally normal individuals with nothing criminal going on.

Prior function: Crime Clinic is/was a clinic that helped criminals get treated for wounds that would otherwise alarm the hospital & authorities. Sure, you could just.. not tell the hospital how you were injured, but where’s the fun in that?! Err well roleplay anywho. They would be able to be contacted via the IC criminal website ‘Ikigai.’ This ping would notify them to arrive at an area where someone needs treatment.

Reason for Reinstatement

Why is it that crime clinic is a benefit for the community? Well, both known ic and oocly on my part, I’m aware that EMS workers write incident logs to KPD. This is a major issue for criminals, as someone may look into their case and end up with arrests.

This is why I’d like to be one of the main drivers for the operation of Crime Clinic! Especially with my passion for medical procedures on SRP. I’d like to give them more to do. More integration, more roleplay. More activity!

How will it work? Relatively the same so you don't have to worry about changing too much.

Employment

I’d like to keep applications as the main form of getting into the crime clinic, and they’d be checked more frequently to ensure the roster is up to date!

How would people know?

Well there is two possible routes:
  • Put out a ping similar to autos or fight club (shhh) and whatnot for the free slots (preferred)
  • Keep them permanently open and slowly continue adding after confirming interest still stands

Personally I’d go through with the first option. My thought process involves the simplicity of keeping everything uniform with SRP & the other sub factions of crime, as well as it gives player a guideline for when they can expect it to be checked.

Another way I’d like to introduce is similar to BMD associates. If substantial lore and effort is put into it, perhaps with the approval of faction lead & I, the individual could be integrated into the crime clinic in an IC fashion.

Apprenticeships

A new form of learning for the crime clinic specifically. I’d like to offer apprenticeships.

How do you get an apprenticeship?
  • This is an IC operation only
  • A crime clinic member, with approval, can request they adopt an apprentice to teach about medical procedures

Roles

[Number] signals rank order, 1 is the highest. The roster ranges from how many allotted members the faction lead would like to give it. However, these are the roles I believe could be offered

[1] ~ Clinical Director

The BMD in charge of helping run the crime clinic aspect of SRP Crime. This individual trains newer members and gives tasks to some. They are the direct point of contact for anything in the crime clinic faction (not to be confused with crime / gang faction. That is /currently/ Jayla!).

[2] ~ Clinical Supervisor

This is a position of higher authority within the crime clinic. It would only ideally be added if another BMD were to co-lead the sub faction with me!

[3] ~ Clinician

The ones who administer medical care to the patrons. They are skilled minds trained to help those who do not want to risk government official investigation. After all, they aren’t obligated to do an incident log! :) (sorry Jayla ik ur police, its time to be shady)

[3] ~ Security

Those who protect the clinicians from any harm, and ensure that nothing gets in the way of their treatment. They are tasked with both combat and watchful eyes, using their perception as a tool to evade and confront. Maybe even the prowlers could be contracted to help with this instead of security hires, even though they are more bounty hunters.

Any roster would be updated ASAP to provide the most accuracy.

Monitoring Activity

How would we monitor the activity of crime clinic to ensure that everyone is active???

> Pings

I think similar to prior, I’d be good to have roles for on duty and off duty. Some bots you can click the role icon to have it on, and remove the reaction to take it off! I think this would be a good approach.

> Trial Period

A two week trial period. In this time, they will be assigned with a qualified member to help in any medical work needed. This will keep both members as active as possible, and be a way to measure activity simultaneously.

> Logging

The main form of ensuring activity can be through record keeping in a discord (forum) channel. Completed procedures can be sent there and checked over at the end of each month if met a designated quota.

Learning

I’d have a handbook made! This is so everyone who works for the clinic will have a clear understanding of what they are doing. They can refer to it at any time.

Bail Bonds - Sabaki no Karasu (裁きのカラス)

Crow of Judgement

Crows are often both a divine symbol, and one that could signal death or bad luck in Japanese culture. In the Shinto religion, one prominent in Karakura, they are from the spirit world and are messengers. The reason I have chosen this name is to fit with the Japanese theme and bestow a Japanese name, but also to play around with real concepts. In this case, the Bail Bonds organization comes off as divine in the form of lending money, but they do exploit their clients. They are anything but good. They judge, and if you aren’t careful, the sentencing won’t be light. “Everything comes at a cost.”

Okay so bringing back crime clinic doesn’t tickle your fancy? This is a completely new idea I thought that could help those in need. Now why would criminals help others??? Why does BMD sell weapons? For mutual benefit, you see! Or.. exploitation but heyyy. BMDs usually earn a substantial amount, thus I’d like to use some of that money to lend to players! With conditions of course.. official contracts and all

Everyone would be aware that preferably perms would be passed by this. #loanshark. There could be an interest to the original amount, and the one who took out the contract would have to pay it (‘co-signer’).

What Bail Bonds will do:

We’re NOT a loan office! Our money is directed at releasing criminals from jail.

However, there are also watchful conditions we have! This will promote more roleplay among factions.
  • The Bail Bonds would check on the people we bailed out, seeing if they are following a set condition list
    • Examples could be restrictions we set in place, tasks to do, intel gathering, etc

All breaking of rules would be a consequence for the ‘co-signer’ (the one who got them out) instead (In real life its the criminal being sent back to jail but cant exactly do that in SRP). Unless we wanna do some hostage situation with the criminal that was bailed out T^ T. I have another idea involving Intel in the monitoring activity section, so, we could in theory have dirt on them to return them to prison with proof of another crime as an option.

Collaboration Opportunity

Due to the nature of obtaining perms, there is a collaboration that could work in tandem together. For example, the Prowlers! It may be a newer rebranded addition, however any dealings turned sour could in-turn be forwarded to them for evaluation. The Prowlers are a rebranded bounty hunter service, which would fit well to work alongside the Bail Bonds, and expand the black market’s reach. After all, bounty hunters do work with bail bond agents to bring their criminals back.

Roles

[Number] signals rank order! 1 is the highest. Once again, the roster ranges from how many allotted members the faction lead would like to give it. However, these are the roles I believe could be offered

[1] ~ Bail Bondsman

This is the lead(s) of the BMD organization, in charge of delegating funds, communications and tasks. A symbol of authority.

[2] ~ Confidant

These are individuals who are trusted with wielding the money given to them by the Bail Bondsman. They are tasked with only delivering it to KPD to free the individual. Otherwise, they aid with revenue opportunities and other important tasks. They may interview clients and write the proposal of bond to the Bail Bondsman. It’s to note that they may also continue agent duties.

[3] ~ Agent

The ones who aid with Karasu personal defence, and handling criminals or co-signers who enter Karasu’s premises. They handle pat downs, unruly clients and guidance of new dwellers. If someone has a question, these are the people who’d be the first you’d be able to get in contact with.

Monitoring Activity

What would those in Karasu do if they were to ever have no job? Well, I’d like BMD to have some official files on players! Thus, I believe that these members could be sent out on Intel runs. Things to put on a forum discord channel to keep in mind. I’d also give them tasks, which would be to supervise the criminals that Karasu bonded out. Ensure they are doing what is needed. They would report both.

> Logging

I believe there should be some form of physical logging to ensure activity is sufficient. Thus, any task completed should be sent in a respective forum channel with their IGNs. Updates are welcome as a form of physical proof if sufficient and approved by the Bail Bondsman.

IC Record Keeping

This might encourage some roleplay between criminals & BMDs. How? Well, it would leave something physical for criminals to try and get their hands on. Thus, a BMD will have to retaliate if their information is taken. First, the actual contract information will be an ic book. However, I also think some ic information and updates should be sent to the lead of it in a book. Useful informational updates or summary character profiles. Things that may give people the incentive to do a bit to get their hands on information. It’s a powerful thing in the underground.

BMD Events

I know many desire more interaction with BMD, thus I have the introduction of several ideas I think would bring them closer.

Turf inspections! (BMD x Gangs)

Yikes.. why do you have a leak in your turf! Tsk tsk, that’s a violation. Just like a home, you’re now expected to take care of the area. BMDs can go around turfs & have some fun inspecting the registered gangs in these areas. What’s owning a property without a cranky landlord anyway?

How will it work?

Weekly or biweekly, one or two BMDs will take the time to go through a turf to look for any forms of damage and uncleanliness. This can be one per turf or so, though I’d also like to encourage BMD x BMD interaction! Hence why I believe it’d be fun to be more involved with gangs along with a co worker

Open Training
Looking to improve your detailrp and be an amazing fighter?? Well look no further! We’re gonna host an open training for participants to learn from the official sources

How will it work?

We could use Ikigai for combat training & demonstration. That and/or we could get some of the fight club fighters to help host. I know there are many criminals, especially ones who are just starting out, that look forward to learning more about combat. I believe that offering an official training event may include more character development and combat diversity. What do I mean by combat diversity? On SRP, a lot of people tend to follow the traditional perm format, so much so that it is reflected in P2L sometimes. Hits to the head as an example! I think learning other techniques might intrigue some of the crime population

PS: My character specializes in pressure points

Underground Celebration; March 21 or 22

So March 21st is when the purge happens in the film… and I know what you’re thinking, no this is not the purge. However, I wanted to have a day where the underground of Karakura could just hang out! March 22nd is apparently a national goof off day..? Could be then or the weekend closest to these times. I’d like BMD to formally invite the population to a fun event together, maybe even getting gangs and/or fight club to help out with management. Something where everyone can interact more, especially with BMD. Could be a gala.. or fancy party, one of those manga ahhh mafia party moments. Halloween is also a good option, but I steered away with the idea since I know other srp events for regular population may be planned

Are you familiar with all rules pertaining to weapon profiles, combat, permissions, and player conduct on the server?

Yes! I have kept up to date & made sure to re-read prior to submitting this application (including ones detailed in announcements, not just forums as there’s specifics not mentioned there). In the case I may miss one, I will always ask clarification if I am unsure. BMDs need to know this, it's incredibly important they are up to date on every rule.

For example, below are some purchasable options for criminals offered by the Black Market

Weapon Profiles.png

Are you familiar with that if you leave the black market at any point, the black market lead will have permanent kill permissions on your character?

I acknowledge and agree with the rule that states if I were to leave, the lead would indeed have perms on my character & be able to act on them with proper motive and reason.

Are you familiar with that if your character(s) is/are killed or permanently arrested twice, you will be removed from the black market?

This is incredibly fair, and I acknowledge this fact thoroughly. BMD is a highly sought role, and should be wielded with a level of care.

Are you familiar with that you cannot reveal any out-of-character plans or potential addition to the black market to others?

Of course! Just like many factions, these need to be kept under wraps. Especially in a faction like crime.

Why the fire motif?:

It’s actually completely unrelated to her first name, believe it or not! The reason Cinder is taking on the fire motif is for the symbolism of abolishing all that she constructed herself on. She is leaving the past behind, one that molded and restricted her to what she thought she could be. With that, she is burning to ash the memory of those who only see her preconceived notion of her prior limitation. I.e., those who refuse to see her as anything but a psychiatrist - rather than a person. She is letting it go up in flames, spitefully stepping forward to the future. Her journey is about discovery, pressure, success, mental health and the struggle of acceptance.

Amidst the dying light, as the city laid their minds to rest, another wandered. A meeting was set to take place. Casual, perhaps, yet a quiet tension silenced even the song of birds. On this night, a dull room was host to the unseen hand. The cement tile cold, atmosphere almost as chilling but caused by an underlying fervour. Seated upon a plush couch, a masked interviewer. A ‘philanthropist,’ perhaps. Another figure entered the area. Said 5’9 individual shifted to an old wooden chair directly across from the couch. It creaked underneath the subtlest of weight, groaning in protest at the scene that may play before it’s presence.

When all is said and done, one cannot escape the clutches of deep-seated desperation. It lurks behind every word, every glance and even within the silence.

What is your full legal name?

Straight to the point, she supposed. Regardless, no words rung out.

Full Legal Name:

A pause came and went, silence enveloping the two for but a brief moment. A consideration. An option.I suppose that’s.. important for employment, she said as she parted her supple lips to speak. The female carefully grabbed the front of her mask, pulling upwards with her abyssal gloved hand. It lifted, revealing an unmistakable crystal blue gaze and light brown locks that glinted orange in certain light.Cinder Schneidewind, she muttered, akin to a whisper upon her breath. Far from the pride that once radiated upon it. In order to divert the conversation from pitiful, she added to her original statement,No middle name.

Pen hit paper in the deafening silence, sounding all the more amplified. Another question provoked, “And Criminal Alias?

Criminal Alias:

The woman raised a brow, returning the gas mask into place over her visage.
My alias is KEROSENE,she asserted, composing herself after the prior question. Her hands clasped in front of her, fingers intertwined and resting upon her thighs. Some call me ‘The Doctor,’ if you prefer an actual title, she continued briefly before pressing her lips in a thin line.

I see. . How old are you?” The tilt of their head held a judgemental glance, “I will also need your occupation, if you have one.

Age & Occupation:

Don’t you know not to ask a woman her age?She cheesed, before remembering where exactly she was. She would move on to clear her throat, a serious tone etching into her being,I am 28 years old,she states matter of factly, adjusting her seated position with the cross of her legs. After achieving this position, she gestured toward herself briefly as her hands rested upon her knee,I’m currently employed as a Seikatsu Bartender, as well as Senior Employees at Tsuki no Umi and Umisachi.

A curt nod was practically all she got at the current employment achievement. The interviewer adjusted in their seat, “What gender do you identify as? Marital Status is also required to be disclosed.

Gender & Marital Status:

The Doctor hummed,
I am, and identify with, the female gender. As for pronouns, I follow She / They so feel free to use whichever. The interviewer could practically feel her face scrunch up behind the mask at the marital status. Why does the world want to call her bitchless in 37 different ways?!..Single as a Pringle! I could really go for one of those right now…she carefully drew out, confirming the truth to the individual before her. She was indeed, bitchless.

They are fairly good,” they comment on the side, clicking the end of their pen several times before writing. Without glancing up, they spoke once more, “Ethnicity and Race?

Ethnicity & Race:

. . .A bit of an interesting question. I’m used to just nationality, she looked herself up and down, pausing for a moment.I’m German, and white. I could say Caucasian but it’s not scientifically accurate at all. Rather harmful actually. The woman released a gentle huff, wielding no real malice. It felt almost.. playful despite the masked interview.

The interviewer got an earful after that!

Fun fact, the one who made it used the term because they believed humans came from the Caucasus Mountains.. then the one that coined it larger used it in a.. less than likeable way,She squinted, though the interviewer would not know considering the gas mask obscured her visage,Definitely an outdated, false word. It was essentially a mistake popularized back then as a term for those of white skin tone. Especially Europeans.Caucasus Mountains are in Eurasia, the areas now known as Armenia, Southern Russia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, she clarified, raising a finger with each mention of place.

. . .Right” At this point, they had to refrain from physically rubbing their temples in front of her. “Moving on, what languages do you know?

Known Languages (Native):

Ah, languages, she sighed, almost fondly it seemed. The Doctor brought her right hand up to gently tap the plate of her mask in thought.German is my native language, I often tend to slip up and use it instead, she shook her head, a disappointed gesture,As for any others, I speak Japanese. Well.. that’s clear since we’re talking in it..the interviewer felt a sense of side-eye, though who knows! Maybe just their imagination.I also know Latin. I learned it when I was younger. She decided to promptly quiet after that embarrassing display.

A lighter mood, the interviewer placed an offhand thought, “Useful.” They tilted their head upon further inquiry, “I’d assume they come in handy for certain jobs. Any former occupations or notable associations?

Former Associations/Occupations:

KEROSENE drew in a sharp breath, as if the very memory was suppressed to the depths of her mind,I am a former EMS Psychiatrist. The highest ranking I achieved among my colleagues was Attending. She left it at that, not speaking upon the matter any longer than need be.

I see…” they drew out as their gaze lingered upon her demeanour. “Finally, I’d like to know your highest level of education. Then we can conclude this interview, Doctor.

Highest Level of Education:

She carefully slipped her gloved hand into the pocket of her white clinical coat, retrieving a neatly folded paper that had abyssal ink seeping through when held to light. History upon a page. The Doctor handed the information to the interviewer, pristine documents with a record of her education came to view.
From eighteen to twenty two, I maintained top of my class and obtained a Bachelor of Science that focused on psychology, she noted exactly what the paper did about her. After providing them silence to look over and read the document, KEROSENE leaned forward and traced her index finger along the final information to emphasize her point,Medical School for four years afterward, getting out when I was twenty six.

As the interview swiftly came to a close, the woman left them with additional written information. In the blink of an eye, her presence was fleeting. The only evidence she had even came, were the pages she left in the black market’s care.

Physical/Mental Ailments:
(If inapplicable, put N/A)

Physical

N / A

Mental

Cinder refuses to go to a psychiatrist, especially since she was one. She believes she can help herself, and focuses all her efforts on others. However, these would be the actual mental health issues she suffers from.

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) (Undiagnosed)

Major Depressive Disorder, also known as clinical depression, is a depressive disorder characterized by a loss of interest in once enjoyed activities, as well as a persistent decrease in mood. Those with the disorder often have a feeling of emptiness and hopelessness, prolonged / intense sadness, and even excessive self-blame that is considered unreasonable. Sleep disruption may emphasize the fatigue those with MDD suffer with, ultimately making concentration and forgetfulness prevalent. Spiraling negative thoughts reinforce a vicious cycle that many find a difficult obstacle as the disorder already causes obstruction of daily functioning. Trivial matters to another may cause a frustration, irritability and/or anger outburst from the individual as a mechanism, but make no mistake that this does not mean those with MDD are inherently dangerous. Excessive nervousness and anxiousness are also seen with this disorder, and may even be signs for co-morbidity with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which is common.

Severity: ★★★★☆

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) (Undiagnosed)

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is a disorder characterized by its chronic sense of worry for little to no reason. It’s typically daily, and about various things in life simultaneously rather than just certain pressures. Those with this disorder may suffer from issues concentrating, restlessness or fatigue, and even sleep disruption. Irritability is not off the table either, as one with GAD may exhibit a constantly tense / nervous feeling that keeps them on edge at all times. Anhedonia, or reduced ability to feel rewarded, is another factor as an individual may simply shift to the next worry once something is done. In severe cases, worry can even contribute to paranoia. Many associate GAD with panic or anxiety attacks, which can be a symptom but are not primary! More commonly seen in severe cases.

Severity: ★★★★☆

Imposter Syndrome (Diagnosis Unavailable)

Imposter Syndrome is something that cannot be diagnosed, as it is not recognized as a mental illness or disorder (Not in the DSM-5 for example). It’s more-so known as a feeling / belief system, rather than something medical.

However, what is it? Well, imposter syndrome is when an individual may persistently feel as though they are a fraud. Even when there is evidence otherwise, those that exhibit symptoms of this often struggle with acknowledging their own achievements. A sense of dread consistently lingers in fear of being ‘exposed’ as less intelligent / capable. Some ideologies include fear of failure, extreme self doubt, belief in ‘chance’ / luck or any other external factor for their achievement. Essentially if that individual does well, they often downplay their own achievement in belief that it was an external factor that contributed to the success rather than themselves. Those with Imposter Syndrome may display the perfectionist trait, and overwork to compensate for what they see as a loss, or not good enough.

Severity: ★★★★☆

Schneidewind

The Schneidewinds are a branch of the Von Moltke family, relating to them distantly by a great grandparent. The current head of the family is Cinder Schneidewind, with her elder brother holding second influence.

Sibling(s)

Volker Schneidewind

Volker Schneidewind is the infamous emo shopkeeper of Seikatsu and Cinder’s older brother. With a quick temper and sharp mind, he may seem rough around the edges. Despite all this, Volker wields an integral role within the Schneidewind family.

Describe your character's appearance to the greatest detail:

Cinder Schneidewind is a young woman who often seems androgynous to many at first glance. She stands at approximately 5’9, or 175 cm, with subtly tanned skin. Long brown hair cascades down her figure, soft in nature, gentle waves halting about midriff to abdomen. Under particular warm light, these locks may appear to have a ginger hue. Her hair style is intentionally tousled to create part of that androgynous feel, but also simply stylistic choices. As she casts gaze, her eyes are a noticeable crystalline blue with a dull luster. It was rather odd. Though they compliment the cool silver of her piercings: snake bites in her lower lip, and a metallic barbell piercing in her right eyebrow. She did have other peculiarities, however. Scaling up her frame was a large coloured tattoo of a scared tree that wrapped around her torso in embrace. In addition, the side of her cubital fossa (inside of her elbow) on her left arm had an irregularly shaped birthmark, having similarities to a star.

Describe your character's personality to the greatest detail:

Cinder Schneidewind is someone who is fiercely loyal to her career, and frankly a workaholic. She is meticulous and diligent, ensuring everything goes to plan. Yet, despite her seriousness when performing a task, in a casual setting she is far more playful. Though recently this has diminished significantly, she still occasionally exhibits these traits. Cinder is independent and reliable, despite yearning for some form of connection. By all means, she is a perfectionist but patient with those around her who may not carry the same traits. However, she had an unwavering care towards those who are close to her. She will try everything in her power to ensure their safety. Even if this means avoiding a glance at the law..

"I never knew another way of life."

Born on August 28th, 1998, was a small baby girl with crystal blue eyes like her father, and the start of that luscious light brown hair her mother maintained. A 6 year old with those same reflected hues lingered his gaze upon his younger sister. Fond, perhaps. However, this was maybe the most content they would ever be.

As she grew up, Cinder was close to her older brother, Volker. She tried her best to indulge in his interests, especially when the conflict of the home was impossible to ignore each night. She’d peek from behind a door, watching her parents pointlessly argue about Volker’s direction in life.

"My baby brain collected all the strife."

Get your child under wraps, Freya! He rarely studies, and always spends his time in those foolish books he writes!” An angered father.

A mother hissed back, “Well maybe if you had done something when he was younger, he’d actually be something in life.

Done something? Cinder follows me, I’ll have you know. He’s just the problem child. You should have held him close to that bakery of yours. At least then he’d be useful!

At the time, Cinder listened. She was not oblivious to the suffering of her brother, even if he hadn’t said anything. However, she was far too young to help in any way. Even to his face, she would always know exactly what was said. The more she tried to be close to Volker, the faster she watched him withdraw into himself. Cinder felt like.. A stain. Yet, she was too afraid to fail. The praise of her parents fulfilled a deep seated desire, but also left her feeling empty.

"You drink the poison, gotta pay the price."

Suffocating Academics

In contrast to her brother, Cinder spent the majority of her time within her room. She was constantly buried in textbooks and homework exercises beyond that of just school. The woman was top of her class, but at what price? When Volker ventured out to visit friends, she found herself asking what it’d be like. It never changed, nothing ever did. She worked to the bone, pushing through exhaustion only to be told:

Love… this isn’t good enough. Work harder. I’ll pay for a tutor.

“Oh, forgive me, lord” “Oh, I'm a good girl.”

Even to an A-. Originally, Cinder did genuinely want to become an EMS worker like her father. She longed to help people, Fatigue riddled her life and the constant comparisons between the siblings didn’t help either. She said she was doing it for him, in her own distorted view. Perhaps if she satisfied her parents enough, one day they would leave Volker alone.

“I'd never hurt a fly-”

There was a small saving grace, though. Her younger brother by 8 years, Niklas, was born by then, and she spent time with him frequently. She often felt a sense of protectiveness for him, to a larger degree than Volker, considering he was more of her role model in other ways. She wanted Niklas to have a better life than what was given to them.

Public recognition was important for this family, surname meant everything. This is why the Schneidewind’s brilliant daughter was always centre stage to everyone. This pressure was debilitating, but she forced herself to believe this is what it takes to achieve success, greatness. The only way forward, coined by her father, was to pursue what your family advises. Afterall, he had years of experience, and the ‘best’ interest of his family in mind.

“-but I've got walls to climb.”

When her brother moved out to college at the age of 18, Cinder felt incredibly abandoned. She had been left behind in a home that felt hollow. The halls held no warmth, and certainly no longer welcomed her. It is true that when he left, the house was quieter, but in place of the shouting was the tension that built each and every day. She realized something. Volker was her safe place. The only area where she felt she could truly be herself. Late at night, she found herself sneaking out to a local bar. Here, she would play the piano for its customers, and learn about their own lives. Many were soothed by the melodies she played, and it was a way to take her mind off the constant pressure.

“Oh, forgive me, lord.” —————————

——————————— “Oh, a minor chord.”

You put me in this house.”“I had to claw right out.”

One night, Cinder was waiting for her father to finish work, as he had told her to stay in the lobby. Curious, the child managed to slip away from his colleagues and venture into the establishment. As she rounded a corner, she caught the distinct raven locks that mesmerized her short form. She opened the door, finding it unlocked. Inside was her father.. Seemingly taking prescription medications and sweeping them into his bag. She tilted her head, confused momentarily before speaking up, “Father..?” she muttered. A freeze was noticeable in those broad shoulders, before he pivoted on his feet to offer her that hauntingly sweet smile, “Shh.. honey,” he spoke in terrifying calm. His large hand landed upon her head in a gentle pat, delicately rustling her hair, “This will help people, trust me. You don’t want someone’s life in your hands, do you?” The question was anything but innocent, layered with underlying manipulation behind meaningless words. Believing her father, all she could do was shake her head. It felt wrong, something was wrong, but who was she to tell on her adoring father?

“I'll let you down if you let me too close.”

There were several peculiar instances of this, where each parent had their woes. Severin, her father, fueled by greed and manipulation. Her mother, Freya, centred around self preservation and deceit. A dangerous combination. Cinder could recall a time her mother broke her father’s favourite vase and then claimed to his face that she had no idea as to what happened. She would use her children to corroborate her story, even if they knew the truth. Cinder cared for her family.. So why wouldn’t she?

“Am what I am, know what I know.”

The Incident

When Cinder was in high school, she had come home early after a field trip that was supposed to end several hours later. She walked in, and witnessed something she never thought would ever happen. Her father. . . was with another woman. He tried to explain through broken words, but Cinder felt this overwhelming heated sensation within. The one she had kept secrets for, had loved so deeply, betrayed their family, her mother. His pleas fell on deaf ears as the woman stormed out, upset and filled with disdain. Finally having enough, Cinder made her way to the police department. She opened a case on her father, reporting him for theft of medical grade medications. Only when the sirens arrived at her home, did she learn who he really was. Her mother’s tears streamed, droplets wetting the hardwood floor beneath her. Met with her father’s actions, her mother retaliated with secrets she held for him on her own. Medical Malpractice. Indeed.. He had harmed many.

“You catch me running away, then you'llk n o w.

You bastard. I raised you and this is how you repay me?!” A guttural roar, before being dragged away in cuffs.

Those words will always stick with her. A disappointment she was. Blood was thicker than water, wasn’t it? She would call her older brother on the phone, and let him know of the unfortunate events that happened. Though she left out that she was the one who called the police. She had no desire to be a hero or villain.

From then on, she switched her field of study focus onto psychiatry. She was hesitant to touch the doctor field. Scared.. She’d be like him. She used this psychiatry field to make up for those her father had tormented. The woman focused on her academics even more and eventually graduated from high school a top student as expected.

I can't change!

“Guess you can blame it on my left side brain.”

Freedom?

At the age of 18, she moved out of the house. She would take her younger brother with her for a while, though ultimately found it hard to care for him on her own. She would later have him stay with their aunt and cousin. In the meantime, she took up a part-time job as a barista. The woman would continue her schooling to college and obtain a bachelors of science after 4 years. She swiftly moved onto medical school and finally was released at the age of 26. From 26-28, she lived in Germany tending to patients and gathering rapport before making her big move to Karakura.

In reality, she was mainly here as she heard her older brother was in the area. She would get a job as a trainee EMS psychiatrist for Karakura’s hospital while she purchased an apartment. She would occasionally be visited by her younger brother before her older brother started to make more contact with her. She had learned he owned a business known as Seikatsu, and often used her off duty time to solely attend his openings and speak to him. By the time she was unfortunately terminated, she had achieved her highest ranking of attending psychiatrist.

“I saw you standing there and I knew."

One Seikatsu shift, she attempted to speak to her brother about a demotion to Resident. However, things only went downhill as the man practically laughed, speaking about how it was impossible for the golden child to fail. His fist raised, and crashed against the pillar with extensive force. So much so that the shop rattled and a hole was created in the area it had occurred. A piece broke off. Cinder’s hand slipped upon the Dr. Better she was holding, the can clattering to the ground as the liquid splashed out in a wave of its own shock. Surely, that would stain their clothing. Her own fingers dug into the fabric of the collar of his shirt, yanking him close. With a snarl, she let out her heartache at such words. Despite the altercation ending in tears being shed, in the end, Volker had left just like he did before. Abandoned, once more.

You bring out the worst in me."

She deems the termination unlawful, and subsequently filed a lawsuit with the town hall. A meeting had arisen, and Cinder questioned the meaning. She had just had a fight with her older brother, and thus she was incredibly upset. She was brought up into the conversation when her head rested against the table. The back and forth continued, from her perspective she tried to disengage. Next thing she knew, she was fired by the Deputy Director at the time, Konstantin. This led to a sharp resentment, as when she made contact with the Director, Rokku Heddo, he upheld the decision.

What defines a fool?

Following the fallout, the woman could not merely continue working underneath her older brother without another conversation. She drew in a sharp breath, crystal blue hues flickering across the cold tile of the restaurant. Cinder listened to the bustling of Seikatsu, the sound of the doors creaking with each close. After the shift, she made way to request an audience with Volker. Once attention had landed upon her, they swiftly ventured to his abode for a more private location to speak. She tried, desperately so, to voice her admiration for the one before her. The desires, the dreams, her honesty. Icarus flew too close to the sun it seems. Returning the favour with a burn, far deeper than he could perceive.

Describe an interaction that your character may have as a black market dealer: (This can be anything — a weapon deal, an event they may be involved in, or maybe an interaction with a gang)

Weapon Deal (Serious)
(A core trait of a Black Market Dealer)

Shrouded amidst the shadow of the damp brick walls beneath the living, lie a white trench coat that billows with each silent step upon concrete. Illuminated by the faint glowing hue from nearby crimson wire cage lights, a 5’9 frame came into view. Androgynous in form, visage obscured by a tightly clasped ballistic mask, the defining features of KEROSENE rippled ominously through the enclosed space. As rapidly as they appeared, the sooner they vanished. As if they were never there to begin with.

To The Doctor, this day was like any other. Traversing the underground with vigilance, in search of merchandise. Least what it once was. She would run her abyssal gloved hands along the mixed cement, before swiping down to her pocket. She retrieved an unidentifiable phone. Merely a basic navy backing. A blinding light flashed through the darkness.. What kind of person uses light mode in the sewers, let alone the dark?! Recovering from the momentary flashbang, KEROSENE swept her thumb along the screened surface. She issued a notification to all Criminals; she was open for business.

The details? A number, a quote. How mysterious.

Awaiting the inevitable vibration of communication, the woman made way towards a concealed location. One she would be the only to spill. Place of choice was an obstacle. There were many great places to stay; navigation was a breeze. Coming to her designated location, she ensured the weapons she had to sell were equipped and unblemished. As she produced a handkerchief from her pocket, a buzz was felt upon her waist. Polishing a blade to a shine, KEROSENE answered the line.

I’d like a Katana, if there is one available.

The woman heard the words and bit the inside of her cheek. Ah yes, this meant they were an organized gang member. Replying to the desire, she spoke hushed through the speaker,

Indeed. Cemetery Sewers. Make it quick, I don’t have all day.

It almost sounded like a begrudging grumble. It was rather odd for The Doctor. However, she waited for them to hang up and leaned against the cold cemented brick wall. Her gaze linger lazily on the hallway opening, her fingers idly adjusting the ballistic mask clasped over her visage. A far cry from her aesthetic gas mask, but obscuring identity was important. She practically pondered if she should get a ballistic mask of a gas mask instead.. even if it wouldn’t exactly combat fumes.

Time passed slowly, but eventually the customer came into view down the waterway. KEROSENE straightened her posture then and there, hand outstretched for the cash that would seal the purchase.

How much.. is it again?

The individual uttered. Although they couldn’t see it, her eyes narrowed beneath her mask. She wondered how long they’d last in an environment like this. Perhaps they were newer to the scene and found themselves tangled up in organized crime. Yet, none of that was her business.. right?

¥300,000.

The price was straightforward, without malice not comfort. Her index finger waved upwards, a back and forth motion that coaxed for the funds. The silence was deafening, an underlying pressure slowly settling heavy weight on the buyer. She watched indifferently as the person forked up the rest of their savings to afford this Katana, a heavy exhale discarding the human emotion underneath. The woman’s hands diligently sort through the yen, ensuring the entire amount has been given.

Sufficient. Here’s the weapon you ordered. Do take great care of it.

KEROSENE admits with a slight hint of passion. Her frame shifted to grasp the katana she had just polished, pressing the handle into the customer’s palm. With a subtle shove that even she didn’t seem to notice, she sent them on their way. Yet, not without one final thing. She had given a complimentary gift. A free handkerchief with custom hand crafted embroidery framing the edges.

The day went by in a blur, and the next thing she knew, she was returning to her humble black market abode with some takeout.

Extra; BMD/Co-worker interaction (Casual)

A prompt return from a long day of working, KEROSENE invited her fellow BMDs to a dinner at exactly 18:00. The seven black market colleagues sat at a glossy mahogany table, clearly well maintained. The silence was prolonged at the start, as this was their first initial get together. The Doctor however, cut through the tension with a lighthearted tone.

I appreciate everyone’s attendance. I brought us some chicken nuggies- nuggets from a shop..” she squinted briefly in realization, “..that I can’t remember the name of.” This prompted one of her generation mates to speak up, “Daini-no-Ie?KEROSENE paused before shaking her head, “No.. I think that’s where I got my cookies from.

Clearly, a controversy. Another raised a brow, his voice steady and more matter of fact, “Cookies? What cookies? I don’t see any here.” How contrary the expression and tone were. Yikes.. KEROSENE ratted herself out! She began stuffing her face with chicken nuggets, so much so that she appeared to be more like a chipmunk. “Sorry, my mouth is full, I can’t talk,” she cheesed. Those cookies never had a chance of making it here. She realized that she may be digging herself a deeper hole, so she sought the help of their employer, “But I did save a crumb for our resident philanthropist!” Was this bribery at this point?

In work, she could be stern and cold, but towards those she works with, perhaps it was a refreshing air. The bonding night wore on, many declaring she owed them cookies. However, even after it all, she found her lips curving into a soft genuine smile.

Describe any other additional information that is notable in considering your character for the role of a black market dealer: (If inapplicable, put N/A)

I always wondered the answer to a singular question. Why is it that you want to be seen? Stardom, even among the underground. To assert authority? To prove you have power?

. . .

Wouldn’t it be better to hail to secrecy? Shrouded in mystery?

There would be no traces left, and maybe then, I’ll witness the crumble of sanity.
