What experiences do you have with roleplay?:

I have a couple of experiences in roleplay. I first started roleplaying on Roblox in some games called Adopt Me, Royale High, and Bloxburg. Here is some more information about all my experiences:

⋆. ˚ RobloxRP ˚ ⋆.

I have LOTS of experience in RobloxRP. As I said above, I used to roleplay in Adopt Me, Royale High, and Bloxburg… but those aren't just it, I also used to roleplay in lots of other games on there, but mainly those three I have mentioned.

In this period, I have learned how to create characters and actually give them all different personalities so they aren't all the same since that’s kinda boring… during COVID, I think I was even roleplaying every day. Once COVID ended, I did stop roleplaying more often, and this is where my RobloxRP era ended…

⋆. ˚ SportsRP ˚ ⋆.

I haven’t been doing SportsRP for that long, I actually recently just achieved my 5 months milestone in a sports team, woo me!

In these 5 months, I attended team bonding with the college dodgeball team and some other teams, which were sometimes a bit interesting… I have also done a lot of rivalry with the high school dodgeball team, which was obviously a great experience to experience…

⋆. ˚ ParentRP ˚ ⋆.

I’m gonna be completely honest, this wasn’t the best experience I have experienced yet. Around 8 months ago, I got an adult character, and let's just say he adopted kids way too fast… Since I had never actually roleplayed as a parent or with a parent, I barely knew how to do this. For some time, it went perfectly fine until I kinda got tired of it… I actually couldn’t handle having my char handle with 3 kids at once which also all hated eachother, but after a couple of months that char left Karakura and I created my main character’s mother who has 2 kids, one is an adult and one is being played by myself so now I do kinda like ParentRP and I also know how it works now so I wouldn’t mind Parent roleplaying more often.

⋆. ˚ FacultyRP ˚ ⋆.

Like I said before, I got an adult character around 8 months ago, which was also when I first joined the school faculty. I was a Physical Education teacher for over 6 months until I got really demotivated to write so many lesson plans… In my last month of being a teacher, I applied for a tutor position, and I got in. Now I have been a Tutor for 2 months already.

In this Faction, I have learned so many new people, and I have actually done a lot of roleplay here, of course, with students and with faculty… This is also kind of where I learned how to DetailRP, and I’m really grateful for that because otherwise I would still not have been able to DetailRP…

What is your motivation for applying?
I have been interested in EMS for quite a while already. I was lucky enough to get into the EMS internship with my college character. I even passed the internship… seeing how the faction works, how much teamwork there is, and all the different types of roleplay it offers has just made my interest in the faction grow more and more.

I have applied for EMS twice already, although I was denied both times, it never discouraged me from applying, and it just made me want to apply even more. I genuinely enjoy the type of roleplay EMS has to provide, and I would love to experience these types more often by being in the faction

Which role are you applying for?
Psychiatrist

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

I have a good amount of knowledge of the roles within the Faction. Down here, I will list all the roles and departments, plus their jobs.

˙✧˖° Ranks in the faction ༘ ⋆。˚

⋆. ˚ Director ˚ ⋆.

The Director is the highest role in the Hospital Faction, this role is only for the Faction Lead. The Director oversees everything in the faction, they lead the staff and have to make sure everyone is active and that they do their jobs.

⋆. ˚ Deputy Director ˚ ⋆.
The Deputy Director works alongside the Director to keep the faction running properly, they supervise the staff, make sure the rules are being followed, and step in when needed… If the Director were to go on inactivity for some reason, the Deputy Director would do the Director’s job while they’re away.

⋆. ˚ Head of Department ˚ ⋆.
The Head of Department, also known as the Clinical Leads or the Chief Paramedic. They oversee each of their own departments and make sure everyone in their departments are actually doing their job. They probably also train most of the new people in the Department

⋆. ˚ Attending ˚ ⋆.
An attending is a higher role than Senior Resident and Resident. I think they can assist in training the new people, and they have a lot more responsibilities than the residents.

⋆. ˚ Resident ˚ ⋆.
When a trainee has successfully passed their training, they earn the position called resident. This means that they’re officially a part of the faction

⋆. ˚ Trainee ˚ ⋆.
A trainee is someone completely new to the faction, this is the lowest rank of the hospital. They first have to complete their training before getting promoted to Resident

˙✧˖° Departments in the faction ༘ ⋆。˚

⋆. ˚ Paramedic ˚ ⋆.

The paramedic department handles emergencies like someone getting hurt or bleeding, and they can’t come to the hospital by themselves. They respond to emergencies, for example, a bear attack in the woods. They have their own tranquillizer for animals, and they make sure the bear is back in their home safely. They also give treatments and get patients to the hospital safely

Roles in this department:
- Chief Paramedic
- Paramedic
- Paramedic Trainee

⋆. ˚ Doctor ˚ ⋆.
This department focuses more on the injuries coming into the hospital, they don’t really go to a bear attack with paramedics, they perform surgeries when needed, they help with people bleeding out, and much more. They can also just examine patients and handle follow-ups.

Roles in this department:
- Clinical Lead
- Attending Doctor
- Senior Doctor Resident
- Doctor Resident
- Doctor Trainee

⋆. ˚ Psychiatrist ˚ ⋆.
This department handles the mental health care side of the hospital. Psychiatrists work with their patients to take care of their problems, they host therapy sessions, whether it’s in a group or a solo session, but they also help with trauma, stress, or anything, actually. They can also help the civilians with their injuries, but they can not perform surgeries.

Roles in this department:
- Clinical Lead
- Attending psychiatrist
- Senior Psychiatrist Resident
- Psychiatrist Resident
- Psychiatrist Trainee

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

I do acknowledge this!

In-Character (IC) Section

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS
Character’s Full Name:

Yumi slowly moved the chair away from the desk and then went in front of it to take a seat in it. She cleared her throat and waited for a second. “The name is Yumi, Yumi Akori.” She smiled at the interviewer

Character’s Gender and Pronouns:
She blinked in confusion… I thought it was pretty clear she’s a woman, but oh well, you never know. “I’m a female, and my pronouns are She/Her.” She then looked around the room while fixing the collar of her blouse

Character’s Age (if accepted):
She went quiet for a bit while still fixing her collar… did they just? No, they did not… “Oh my… You should never ask a woman how old they are- or, well… how young they are, but as this is an interview, I shall answer this question,” she went quiet for a bit while looking around the room and scratching the back of her neck. “Well… I’m 44 years young!”

Character’s Academic Background:
She once again went quiet trying to remember all her academic accomplishments from roughly 20 plus years ago… “Uhh… well first of all I got my highschool diploma” She put one finger up under the desk, counting everything “Then I went to get my Bachelors degree in Psychology” she put another finger up “, and then I got my Doctor of Medicine” She once again put another finger up “OH YEAH!- oh, sorry for being so loud… I have also gone through an internship/residency already”

Character’s Nationality:
Yumi cleared her throat for a second, trying to figure out if she’s gonna mimic the accents from her nationality or not… “Well, I’m half British and Half Japanese… I always tell my friends I’m also like 25% Belgian since I did spend a lot of time there…” Looks like she didn't do it. She then smiled at the interviewer.

Character’s Marital Status:
She went completely silent after that one… after a couple of seconds she finally made a sound, which was a cough “Well… I’m a widow… two times actually.” She lifted her hand up and wiped away a tear with her index finger, making sure no mascara got smudged. “But that’s not all, I also got divorced a couple of years ago.” She then looked at her ring fingers, seeing two rings on them from her two late husbands, which she had never taken off…

Character’s Religious Denomination:
She looked at the clock behind the interviewer and then back at the interviewer, “This is actually a very good question, one that I genuinely don’t really have an answer to…” she thought for a bit… “I wouldn’t really say I’m religious, but I do believe there is like a god and life after death…” She offered a soft smile to the interviewer

Character’s Spoken Languages:
She gently moved another strand of hair that was covering her face and put it behind her ears. She then lifted her glasses and adjusted it higher to the bridge of her nose. “Well, I’m glad you asked this… I can actually speak four languages: Japanese, English, French, and Korean… I don’t really speak French often, though, only with my kids.” Her eyes had a spark once she mentioned her kids, wow she really loves them, doesn’t she?

Character Backstory (Optional):

⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ Yumi’s Backstory ! ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

Yumi was born in Japan and is the second youngest out of four siblings. Growing up in a loud and hectic household with three siblings meant she learned how to deal wth lots of different personalities and emotions.

After high school, she went to college to study psychology before later pursuing psychiatry. She even married her high school boyfriend, and they had a daughter together called Kaen. But sadly enough, not long after, he passed away due to an illness, which left her raising Kaen all alone while still trying to finish her education, which was really difficult.

Years later, she traveled to Belgium and ended up meeting her future husband. They built up a life together and had another child, Mateo. 10 years later, her husband also passed away, making her a widow again.

Eventually, feeling tired, overwhelmed, and believing her children would be better off being surrounded by their family, she sent them to Karakura to live with their uncle.

After a couple of years, Yumi had rebuilt her life and had even gotten a new husband and child named Ouka, but the marriage didn't go so well… they sadly got divorced, and they went through a long custody battle, which she won… a couple of years later, she decided to go live in Karakura and get a job as a tutor at KHS. Even though she always wanted to be a psychiatrist, she found joy in this job. Being able to work with a lot of people just made her enjoy it a lot.

She now has a job at her son and daughter’s school as a tutor, but she decided she wants to try to become a psychiatrist.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)

Yumi slowly nodded while listening to the question. Once the interviewer was done, she cleared her throat and sat upright. “That’s an excellent question, I’m specialised in child and adolescent psychiatry.” She smiled at the interviewer. “Why did I choose this, hmm… well, I got interested in it while I was studying, actually. I started to realise how much mental health at an early age can actually define someone's path in life.” She cleared her throat and adjusted her position, trying to get a bit more comfortable. “I feel like the earlier you catch something, the better, of course, that’s common knowledge. Being a mother of three also made me want to choose this speciality since it gave me a better understanding of how kids grow up and what they’re like, and I also adore kids, so that’s why I chose this speciality!

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
She took a couple of small breaths before answering “Ï actually do have experience, once I finished medical school I worked as a psychiatric intern at a hospital in Belgium, it took a bit but then I finished my internship and became a resident.” she had a smile on her face, she was so proud of herself “My job was doing patient evaluations, doing therapy sessions, I also worked alongside other and more experiences psychiatrists” she then nodded at the interviewer. “Thank you for giving me the chance to come for an interview,” she said before standing up.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

Yumi is a female with a slim build and long brown hair. She looks quite tanned, but this is just her natural skin color. Yumi stands at a height of 5’9, so she’s more on the tall side. Even though she looks like someone who would only wear fancy clothes, she actually doesn’t do that. She loves to wear comfortable clothes, especially after a long day of work.

She can also be quiet at first, but once you get to know her, she can not stop talking; she doesn’t mind being told to talk a bit less since she knows how much she talks. This also shows it’s very easy to have a conversation with her, she also isn’t just a great talker but a great listener as well.

Render made by me!

How does your character act around the hospital?

While she’s at the hospital, she tends to be very kind and focused on her work. While treating patients, she never uses medical terms so she doesn’t freak out the patients. She does like to keep to herself and not get involved in drama… even though she very much likes it.

Yumi also works very well in stressful situations, let's just say it’s what makes her work even harder. She would also make coffee or bring coffee for her colleagues every morning so everyone has something to drink and so they can stay awake.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Well, Yumi doesn’t mind working on her own and actually does prefer it when she needs to focus on a patient or think about something without being distracted. She’s also happy to work alongside her co-workers, and she enjoys having people she can rely on. If she ever needs help with something, she won't hesitate to ask for it. She just likes working in calm spaces where she can stay focused and give each patient all the attention they deserve.
