Describe your activity on the server:
I would say that I am a very active member of the server and have been for quite some time. On average, I am logged into the server for anywhere between three and twelve hours each day. This has been my active on-and-off routine for just under a decade, as I first discovered the server back in late 2017. There have been a few periods where I have stepped away for a couple of months, the most notable example of this was when I was attending college. Despite these occasional breaks, I have always ended up coming back to the server. In this time, I’ve played a range of roles, including Tutor, Club Leader, Professor, Receptionist and member of multiple sports teams.

As for the distribution of this time, it is currently balanced between hosting classes within the Professor faction, engaging in roleplay with friends, and hosting club activities for the Photography & Media club. I also spend quite a bit of time on the server simply interacting with other players, whether it is in depth lore driven roleplay or simply enjoying hanging out with others. In my time not solely dedicated to playing directly on the server, I am typically still stationed at my computer either working on skins or art, and almost always available to participate in activities on the server!

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I absolutely understand this and will ensure that it will not happen!

What shop are you applying for?:
I am applying for Blocky Mart!

Why do you want to become a Franchisee?:
The Shop faction as a whole is one that has piqued my interest for quite some time now! I have contemplated applying for the role of Shopkeeper numerous times before, even going as far as working on applications without submitting them out of worry that my store ideas were not what the server was looking for, or that other concepts were more appealing reducing my chances of acceptance. However, due to Franchisee giving me the opportunity to take over a pre-established brand, this is no longer a concern. Instead, I now have the incredible opportunity to bring my own ideas to a store without worrying about overlapping with existing businesses! I have always wanted to experience more of the server outside of the school, and I believe becoming a Franchisee would give me the opportunity to do so whilst still being able to contribute to an aspect of the server that I already have a great interest in.

As for applying for Blocky Mart specifically, I have always had a great interest in running a grocery store, distributing ingredients essential to getting the most out of the servers cooking plugin. I still remember playing the server in 2018, when this specific store was introduced to the server for the first time! I would love to be able to encourage more players to partake in CookingRP, as well as focus on improving their cooking attribute! As well as this, I already have an extensive list of ideas for potential custom items that I would love to discuss with my potential future co-franchisee, which I would personally purchase for the store. This list includes, but is not limited to, custom shopping carts, grocery bags, food displays, etc.! Of course, before purchasing any of these, I would thoroughly discuss each idea with my co-franchisee and faction lead to ensure these are items we are both in approval of, as well as fit the branding of the store.

Another reason that I wish to become a franchisee is to help occupy my time outside of the school. Whilst the school is an essential aspect of the server, I’ve been increasingly interested in the town side of the server. All of my previous and current roles on the server have been related to the school, and I believe this is the perfect position for me to branch out and fill my time outside of school hours! Throughout my time on the server, I have slowly branched out into different aspects of roleplay, and I have really enjoyed seeing how different each area of the server can be. I would love to continue doing this, whilst also having the opportunity to meet and roleplay with people that I may not normally interact with through my school roles.

Over my time on the server, I’ve worked in a multitude of stores on SRP as an employee and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment of it. These being La Casa Nostra, Igen’noaru, Joyoung, Yeobo, Yona-Yona, Pixels n’ Potions and the newly established Lunaria Atelier! This has given me extensive experience with the shop panel and the inner-workings of a store. It would be an incredible honour to be able to share this experience with others. I still remember how exciting it was to get accepted into my first shop, and I have felt that same excitement with each shop I have worked at since. I would love to be able to give other players that same experience. I have always been thoroughly impressed by a Shopkeeper's ability to handle the logistics that go into running a shop. It would be truly incredible to have the opportunity to do the same in a similar role alongside another individual.

I am also aware of just how frustrating it can be when you want to visit a shop, yet none typically open during your timezone. A large number of players typically only have a small amount of time to play or are in a different timezone and don’t get to see the more active times where openings are most common. Since I am already on the server for a good portion of my day, I would love to be able to take over opening the store in the offpeak hours, to give more people the opportunity to visit the store.

How will you handle a dispute with your co-Franchisee?:
Whilst I prefer to not be a very confrontational person, I would still understand that disagreements are bound to happen when two people are working closely together. I would obviously want both my and my co-Franchisee’s ideas to have the opportunity to flourish within the store, but I also recognise that we are not always going to have the exact same opinion on everything. If a disagreement did happen, I would make sure that it did not become personal and would prioritize keeping the conversation calm and respectful.

I would first listen to my co-Franchisee and let them explain their reasoning. There could easily be something they have considered that I have not, and I would be more than willing to acknowledge that. Whether the disagreement was over hiring, the items we stock, employee wages or something else entirely, I believe actually understanding where the other person is coming from is important before trying to reach a solution.

I would then try to find an outcome that we could both be comfortable with. I do not necessarily think every disagreement has to mean meeting exactly in the middle, as sometimes one approach may simply make more sense for the store. If we were particularly divided on a decision, I would also be open to trying one approach for a while and then looking back on how it worked. That way, we could base the decision on what actually benefited the store rather than just continuing to argue over which idea we preferred. I would also seek outside opinions, whether that being from the faction lead or hearing the voices of our employees.

At the end of the day, my co-Franchisee and I would both be there because we want the store to do well. I believe that keeping that in mind would make it much easier to work through disagreements without letting them turn into something bigger than they need to be. I am also perfectly happy to admit when I have overlooked something or when their idea makes more sense than mine. I would rather change my mind and have a better outcome for the store than stick to my own idea simply because it was mine.
