Skills (ICE SKATING):

Hand Penalty = Hand hits the ground to catch a fall causing loss of marks
Rotation Marks = Rotation must be precise and with enough energy and spin-timing to complete; if not done correctly, you will lose marks
Step Sequences = In which the skater skates in a certain technical way to gain more marks. Normally very fatiguing and require a lot of precision and stamina to gain the top marks for
Edge Jumps = Considered a little harder than toe jumps because the skater takes off from the ice without any assistance from the other foot
Salchow = The Salchow is accomplished with a takeoff from the back inside edge of one foot and a landing on the back outside edge of the opposite foot
Lutz = It is a toepick-assisted jump with an entrance from a back outside edge and landing on the back outside edge of the opposite foot
Axel = The Axel jump takeoff is the same as the Waltz jump takeoff, from a forward outside edge. The skater then vaults from the toe pick of the left skate and "steps up" into the jump with the right leg spring into the air
Figure Skating 'Flip' = flip jump as "a toe jump that takes off from a back inside edge and lands on the back outside edge of the opposite foot". It is executed with assistance from the toe of the free foot
Toe Loops = The jump is the simplest jump in the sport of figure skating; initiated with the help of the supporting foot, in which the skater makes a full turn in the air, taking off from and landing on the outside edge of the same foot
