Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Takayori understands that sometimes her students can have creativity blocks or may not figure out a way to follow her instructions, if she notices a sign of confusion she will aproach the person with troubles kneeling down to their level asking them what part of the assignment—lesson they don't understand— ''Hm.. just give me a moment and i'll come back to you''— when she finish teaching the last part of the lesson she will approach the student who had the troubles with a smile— "Why don't we work on what you don't understand, yes?" —She smiled slighly.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
The woman frowned by being interrupted by the student and their classmates, she look pretty annoyed by it but let out a sigh and went straight to the student—"Can we leave conversations until we finish the lesson please?, Thank you"— She nodded as she walked back to the blackboard, she seemed proud of herself, she despised with all her heart having to scold the students, but it was her job after all
If the student continued to be disruptive to the class, Takayori would look annoyed by the behaviour once again—"Please let all settle down and pay attention, i wouldn't want to hand out anyone a detention slip"—She sighed once again continuying her lesson once the disruptive students stopped
If after all these warning the students are still being disrupting, she would approach the table of the students—"You've all completly ignored all my past warnings, i am sorry to do this but you all have detention, come by after school"— She really hated doing this but she had to continue doing her class for the other students one way or another.
In the rare case the students keep being disruptive she would politely ask them to leave the classroom and continue teaching the others

Safety Comes First!
Safety Comes First!
During this lesson Takayori will go over the guidelines and rules of working with wood and the tools that they will be using, after learning how each tool works and the safety measures she will let the students vote on a group activity that the class can go together, once decide, under Ms.Kane's supervision they will be able to do it in groups of 4, after the project is done they will present it to the class and explain the process. |
Getting to Know the Wood
The lesson focuses on learning the type of materials that the class will be working with and their properties, characteristics and the varities, like oak, dark oak.. birch, highliting the texture, the scent, weight, encouraging the students to see and observe the wood closely, the main activity is to grab a piece of sandpaper and slowly sub it against a cube of wood until it becomes smooth, by the end of the class they show the results to the teacher. |
Tools and Their Stones
The class starts by showing the students the type of tools that are usually used in workshops and in the art of woodworking, an example of these are: chisels, mallets, measuaring tools, handsaws, the class would start by Ms. Kane explaining carefully to the students what it does and why does it matter in the process of making something and let's them with them, to feel them, balance them, testing it's grip and weight... The main focus of this class is the identification of each tool, where in groups or pairs, the students need to pair the tools to complete simple tasks, like cutting wood, shaping.. the point of the class is encouraging teamwork and the handling of the tools, by the end of the class the students should now know what tools work for each task and feel more safe around their work environment. |

Then the students will receive a slab of wood with visible grain patterns on them, the teacher will explain how to tell wich side is the grain and it's direction, then the students will try and carve with the grain and against it, and then talk about why working with the grain is clearer and safer. |

This class would focus on the basics of designing and planning a woodwork project, after each student is giving a graph paper, Ms. Kane will explain how to design simple structures, a box.. a keychain, a sign, after all the students write down their ideas they will show it to the class, the point of the class is to make the students think creatively and learn to visualize the object before getting their hands on the actual wood, this also makes a base for classes later on the day. |
Measuring and Marking
The lesson makes the students learn how to measure on wood correctly and cutting it in a straight line, at the start of the class Ms. Kane will give each student a wooden plank and a ruler, then teaches them how to measure in centimeters, check the length twice, mark a straight line with the pencil, and then they practice their own measurements, and then at the end of the class they compare how the lines turned out.. wich was straighter, or more accurate. |
