What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
Prior to this server, I had been roleplaying in different communities such as, roblox, amino, movie star planet, and even smaller minecraft before this. Because of that, I already had a solid understanding of roleplay, including what to do and what I personally wanted to avoid.
I started playing more actively on this server around about July but it wasn't until October when I began roleplaying more seriously and roleplaying on a daily basis. Since then I've been in different areas of roleplay. I first started in crime RP, joining a street gang before ultimately joining a gang that my friend made that was more focused on P2L, and although it didn't last long, I enjoyed being able to practice my detail RP. Soon after that, I joined the teaching faction where I learned a little about roleplaying as an educator for about a month before ultimately moving onto the sports faction where I get a balance of both the plugin and the detail RP outside of the plugin.
What is your motivation for applying?
In around December, I started sending my character to therapy to develop her more as a character. That was when I was initially introduced to psychiatrists in SRP. Through those interactions, I got a good idea of the role that they played within the hospital, and I enjoyed the detail roleplay experiences that I had with each psychiatrist because it helped me to further improve my writing. Besides that, outside of roleplay, I chose Psychology as my major and plan to study it next year because I've always been interested in learning about the factors that play a driving force in some peoples actions, and how different experiences and conditions affect the brain. So, I think that having a psychiatrist character would give me an interesting opportunity to experience a role similar to the career that I want to pursue while also providing meaningful roleplay experiences.

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
From my general knowledge, there are three departments;
Doctors, EMT, and Psychiatrists
And there are five ranks,
Trainees are the first rank that everyone starts at when joining the hospital. At this rank, the trainees are becoming familiar with how the hospital works while receiving guidance and support from higher up ranks. Once they gain a general knowledge what they're supposed to know and if the head of the department feels as though they are ready, they move onto the next rank. The next rank would be resident, they've completed all of their training and don't necessarily need to be supervised like in their past rank their tasks depends on which department they are in. The attendings have more tasks and responsibilities than that of the lower rank and the head of the department focuses on their specific workers in that department and making sure that everything runs smoothly within that department while the Director handles overseeing the whole hospital, and making sure that each department is moving as it's supposed to.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

"I graduated high school in Lao, before moving to America, specifically California to attend UC San Diego! I spent four years earning my bachelors degree in biology, and another four years at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. And Bam! It was then that I got my M.D!!"
She flashed the interviewer a proud smile before nodding,
".. . There were unfortunately a lot of sleepless nights."

"I got my citizenship in the years that I was in America so, American!"

Keo instinctively glanced down at her ring finger, her once cheerful expression fading. Her lips pressed together in a thin line as she absentmindedly rubbed the spot where the ring once sat,
"Single. Not married."
Her left hand was brought closer to her face to inspect her ring finger, before it was dropped again into her lap

"It keeps me grounded for the most part, I did convert to Christianity for a little during my stay in the United States, since my h- ex husband practiced Christianity, but I found that Buddhism was best for me."

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Sukanya specializes in clinical psychiatry and consultation-liasion psychiatry. Growing up, she often found herself balancing the demands of school with the challenges of her home life, when Sukanya was around four years old and her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Spending hours in the hospital after school exposed Sukanya to countless families facing similar struggles and at home, she had to watch her father carry the emotional weight of caring for his wife and staying strong for the family. After witnessing both the families in the hospital and her father's own quiet suffering, she was inspired to pursue psychiatry. She wanted to become someone who could support not only the patients, but the loved ones beside them. She wanted to offer guidance to anyone who was struggling.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Yes, during medical school at UC San Diego, Sukanya completed hands-on training through supervised hospital vists. She assisted with patient care, observed and participated in assessments of the patients, and gained experience working alongside other doctors before receiving her M.D!

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Sukanya Keo stood at just 5'2, her slim yet steady frame complimented by her warm golden-tan skin. Her long, ash brown hair was almost always neatly woven into two french braids that rested over her shoulders, a hairstyle that she found to be both practical and comforting. Framing her face were soft freckles scattered across her cheeks and nose. When she smiled, which fortunately for those around her, was often, a deep pair of dimples stood out. Deep brown monolided eyes sparkled with both warmth and curiousity, giving her an approachable apparence that naturally put others at ease. When she spoke, her voice carried a soft, gentle tone with a slightly higher pitch. Keo carried herself with an easygoing confidence, walking with a light bounce in her step and an almost permanent smile on her face. Her posture was relaxed, and her hands were often resting at her side or clasped behind her back as she listened to those around her. Sukanya often had a habit of making expressive gestures while talking, often emphasizing her excitement with animated hand movements.
Outside of work, Sukanya was the complete opposite of polished, if she wasn't in her hospital attire, she could usually be found in loungewear, or whatever comfortable clothes she could find in her closet that had been washed and cleaned. She wasn't particularly concerned with fashion and often threw together mismatched outfits without giving them a second thought. To most people, Sukanya was an open book, she rarely hid her emotions, often wearing them plainly on her face. She was known for her enthuasism, awkward sense of humor, and endless supply of terrible dad jokes. Beneath her cheerful demeanor, however, was someone who was very emotionally perceptive. Sukanya had an uncanny ability to notice subtle changes in a person's mood or behavior, often recognizing when someone was struggling long before they could admit it to themselves. While she enjoys making others laugh, she also knows when to set her playful nature aside and offer her more serious and calming side whenever someone needed support.

On a typical day, Sukanya can be found making her way around the hospital, ensuring that any tasks are completed and once her work is finished, she often spends time in the lobby, making small talk with patients and offering help whenever it's needed. No matter how difficult her day has been, she tries to make an effort to greet everyone with a smile. If she's upset, she refuses to let her facial expression reveal that. During her free time, Sukanya enjoys chatting with her coworkers, asking about their day-to-day lives and lightening the mood with the occasional dad joke. She's naturally curious about the people that she works alongside and values building genuine connections, which is why she would go out of her way to talk to her coworkers as often as she could.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Sukanya is perfectly capable of working independently and has no trouble completing tasks on her own when necessary but, she finds working alongside other people much more enjoyable. She loves the energy that comes from working in collaborative environments, believing that different perspectives often lead to better solutions. When working as a part of a team, Keo makes an effort to ensure that everyone feels included and heard, she enjoys supporting her coworkers just as much as she enjoys learning from them. If disagreements were to come up, she'd prefer to talk through things calmly rather than letting to tension build.

They escort those who need help to the hospital and if it's an emergency they'll operate on the patient immediately. They not only handle emergencies outside of the hospital, but emergencies that happen within the hospital. | Focus on diagnosing the patient with any mental illnesses they might have, and provide them with said medication. After diagnosing the patient with said medication, they typically try to schedule different appointments with the patient after to see how well that medication is working for them. Sukanya Keo was raised in a very warm and loving household where she never really knew the definition of struggle. Her parents had worked hard to provide for her, making sure that she always had everything she needed while encouraging her to go after whatever she wanted. She grew up believing that, as long as her family was together, everything would work itself out. That belief itself began to crumble when she turned 14 years old and her mother, Chanya Keo was diagnosed with cancer. What had been a peaceful home quickly became chaotic. Both her and her father had been consumed with the stress of hospital vists, treatment plans, and uncertainty regarding Chanya's health. Sukanya spent countless afternoons and evenings sitting beside her mothers hospital bed, completing homework underneath the dim lights of the waiting rooms while watching families around her endure the same amount of fear and heartbreak that her family was facing. Although she was young, she couldn't help but notice the toll that illnesses affected took on more than just the patient. At home, her father was a prime example, as the medical bills began to pile up her father worked longer hours while trying to take care of the household at the same time. The cheerful and optimistic man that Sukanya had always known, slowly became quieter and more withdrawn. Despite his best efforts to hide it, Keo could see the mental and emotional toll that the situation was taking on him. Sukanya did her best to help, even if it didn't feel like enough at times. She devoted herself to her studies, determined to earn scholarships to lessen the financial burden on her father. She also picked up a part-time job, contributing whatever she could toward her mothers medical bills.
And just before her graduation from high school, her mother passed away. The thing about cancer, is that once you're told that someone you love has it.. it feels almost as if it's a ticking bomb, where you just wait for the day to come. Once the day came, she was forced to face a reality that she had expected. Despite her grief, Sukanya refused to let it consume her, luckily during this time she never found herself turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms.
