✮ P H Y S I C A L﹒A P P E A R A N C E

Grace would be a quite shy but hot headed teenager. She would have a slim and athletic body, with her abs slightly showing. She would have a tattoo on her nape some modern design and with ‘Dad’ written in the middle aswell as multiple gothic art inspired tattoos in more hidden aera such as in her lower back. She would have freckles on her face and upper body.
Grace would have a very fair skin, balancing with her box-died dark purple hair and green eyes. She would love to let her hair almost all the time down, to enhance the goshtly aura her long silky straight gave her. She would oddly smell like apple and cinnamon, mixed with a faint smell of cigarettes.
Her makeup would usually be a simple, as she would only like wearing dark red blush and black khol, mascara and a berry colored lip balm, once again intensifying her look.

As for her fashion, once again, grace would keep it quite dark and quite feminine with fitted and short clothing, matching her persona. She would adore the gothic fashion, incorporating small accessories from it in her outfits, such as gothic cross and, most usually, lace. Grace would have a a snake bite piercing on her lip and multiple other piercings on her ears. She sometimes dress more casually, especially for school and for various occasions.

BROAD MINDED ✮
Grace learnt that being open-minded with other can only bring good to the world. It’s for her the most important personality trait someone should have.

✮ AMBISCIOUS
Grace thinks she’s rather had money and a great job than a good love life. She's academically competitive and thinks getting good grades is better than being popular.

BLUNT ✮
As much as she hates when people lie to her, she hates lying to people, which can sometimes hurt some of them. She thinks of herself more honest rather than blunt but that’s not what her friends would say.

✮ HOTHEADED
Grace had a complicated childhood, that made her try to escape her ordinary life by living a misconducted one. She tends to isolate herself when hurt to avoid acting on anger, like she used to do in her early teen years, even leading her to get arrested once.

MUSIC LOVER

If there is you can understand about Grace is her love for music. From hyperpop to 2000s rap and hard rock, Grace would love to expend her music knowledges by learning guitar and bass and she would love more than anything to isolate herself with her earphones, describing her music as her own little bubble.

TW : Mention of self-harm

Grace DE FROIDMONT was never the kind of person people understood at first glance. Most people saw the knee-high boots, the chipped black nail polish, the oversized headphones hanging around her neck, and the permanent expression that seemed caught somewhere between annoyance and exhaustion. They saw someone difficult and cold, they weren't completely wrong.

⛧°. ⋆༺Early Childhood༻⋆. °⛧

Grace was born into a family that never really wanted to be one. Her earliest memories weren't of birthdays or vacations but of arguments echoing through thin apartment walls, broken dishes, and adults who always seemed too busy surviving to notice the little girl sitting quietly in the corner. Her biological father drifted in and out of her life, usually disappearing for weeks before suddenly returning with cheap gifts that couldn't make up for months of silence. Her biological mother worked constantly, exhausted and emotionally unavailable, convinced that food on the table counted as affection.

Grace learned early that if she wanted attention, she would have to force people to notice her, so she became loud, defiant and quick to argue. While teachers called her disruptive, students called her weird. Whenever she was embarrassed, she would lash out before anyone else had the chance, becoming a defense mechanism for her.

By the time she turned eleven, she'd been suspended more times than most students got detention. She wasn't evil, just impossible to contain, except through music contained. She listened to everything that felt loud enough to drown out her own thoughts : Rock, metal, alternative, indie, anything emotional and loud enogh to drown out her thoughts.

When Grace was twelve, everything changed: Child protective services had already been watching her household for months and neglect reports had piled up until finally someone decided enough was enough. She entered multiple foster care, and every time, she expected another temporary home, another suitcase, another disappointment, all up until she met the DE FROIDMONT family, Laurent, Elise and Isabelle, a wealthy French-American family who had recently lost a child. She kept expecting them to send her back so she made sure to give them reasons with arguments, skipping school, sneaking out, fights, detentions but they never stopped trying.

What's my new last name this time ?══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

⛧°. ⋆༺"Grace DE FROIDMONT"༻⋆. °⛧

For almost a year, things slowly improved. Grace still got into trouble, but less often. She actually started coming home after school and sometimes she'd even eat dinner with the family. When Laurent, her adoptive father, attended one of her school concerts after discovering she secretly played guitar, disrupting other parents by clapping to anything but the beat, Grace teased him for weeks. It became one of her favorite memories.

Then...

Laurent took his own life, adopting another child had not been enough to heal the void his son's death left in his life. But for Grace, no explanation ever felt enough. She blamed herself, if she'd behaved sooner... if she hadn't caused so much stress...

The progress she'd made disappeared overnight and, all over again school didn't matter. Rules didn't matter. She skipped classes for weeks, started fights, trespassed into abandoned factories with older teenagers, shoplifted things she didn't even want and ended up getting caught for robbing a small bakery in her town with her friends. What was supposed to be another reckless adventure ended with broken property, police sirens, and Grace spending a few nights in juvenile detention before the trial.

She'd never admit it, but sitting alone in that holding cell terrified her more than anything she'd ever experienced and for the first time, she couldn't run or blast music through headphones. She had nothing except silence, a silence that forced her to think.

After the arrest, Élise made the decision that the family would leave for a new country. New school, new beginning for her girls... Isabelle, Grace's older sister hated the idea while Grace insisted she didn't care. Truthfully, she was somehow relieved, nobody there would know her record and nobody would know the angry girl she'd been. She was tired of hurting people, of running. So Grace made herself a quiet promise, that she would try. Mostly because, unlike her biological parents, Laurent had believed she could become someone better, and she wanted to prove he hadn't been wrong.

I don't know if I will change, but I need to try..════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

⛧°. ⋆༺A New Beginning༻⋆. °⛧

Today, Grace would still be a contradiction : She would argue with a teacher over something unfair but panic if she has to introduce herself to the class. She looks intimidating until someone asks about music, then she would talk for hours. She would still wear headphones almost everywhere but this time they're less about looking cool and unbothered and more about keeping the world at a manageable volume.

Grace would still have a hard time trusting people. Compliments would make her suspicious and kindness would make her uncomfortable because she expects people to leave eventually. When she would become angry, instead of exploding, she would disappear into herself, rarely crying or shouting in front of anyone. Instead, she would write unfinished songs she'll never perform.

What remained her biggest source of conflict was her sister Isabelle.

Being two years old apart and obviously having some history, they would argue over everything : chores, music, whose turn it would be to use the bathroom, old wounds that neither of them would know how to heal. Sometimes their fights are really about the twin brother Isabelle lost and the father they both lost. They would simply be two grieving sisters who don't know how to share the same pain.

Even so, there are fleeting moments when their walls would crack, where Isabelle would quietly defend Grace from classmates who would judge her for her past, and Grace once had silently fixed Isabelle's broken record player after finding it in pieces, even though she hated her music taste, and started learning French for her and her mother. Neither would mention it afterward.

Grace's biggest fear would be becoming someone people only remember for their mistakes and her biggest dream would be to stand on a stage one day with a bass in her hands, not because she wants fame, but because music has always been the one language she never had to fight to speak.

She wouldn't know what her future looks like. She would still carry guilt but she'd slowly learn that healing isn't a straight line.

Some days she would feel like the angry thirteen-year-old who expected the world to abandon her while, other days, she would catch herself laughing with friends, humming a favorite song on the walk home, or smiling at a joke she would once have ignored.

Those moments would be small and fragile but real, and for Grace DE FROIDMONT, that's more hope than she ever thought she'd have.

Is this how teenage life supposed to be ?═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
