GENERAL APPEARANCE.
Appearance:
Slightly muscular young woman with straight dark hair that brushes over one of her eyes. She's mostly seen wearing the Karakura High uniform.

Personality:
Matches is a person who isn't afraid to start conflict when it comes down to it, but she's seen as meek due to the mannerisms she exhibits when surrounded by her classmates, and at school in general. She still seems to think of herself as an "outsider" to Karakura and its people, and this is also one of her major flaws.

Character Voice:

Tahira Rashid (Voiced by the SeeU voicebank in The Post-Traumatic Manifesto)

Equipment:
  • Her Dora backpack & the various food items she keeps in there
  • Bandages
  • Her headphones

Serious Problems/Flaws/Addictions/Disorders/Disabilities:

Matches, like my other characters, is in the autistic spectrum and also has Borderline Personality Disorder, which makes socialising difficult for her due to her rapidly changing sense of self and perception of her surroundings.

Skills:
  • NOT cooking (apparently)
  • Combat

Family:
  • Agustin López (father)
  • Aria Everstand (mother)
Backstory:
Matches was born in Buenos Aires to an Argentinean father and a Mexican-American mother. By the time she turned four, her parents decided to immigrate away from South America to Japan in search of a better life, which they did not find. The Everstand child, struggling amidst the complications that the cultural barrier and language imposed onto her, was unable to "fit in". In the middle of this migration, her parents also struggled to buy food and make ends meet, so she had to learn how to fend for herself at a very early age despite her parents doing the best they could to support each other.
Eventually, though, Matches found herself gaining a backbone as the years passed, in a way that made her handle microaggressions differently. However, this also led to her developing anger issues, which she was unable to treat professionally due to the aforementioned economic issues her family was undergoing.
A lot of the societal norms she abides by were learned through trial and error, which left her with many traumatic events to cope with. However, now that she's approaching Grade 10, things are finally looking up for her... or are they?
