Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it.
Receptionists are usually the very first point of contact with whom clients and employees will be interacting when contacting an organization. Their main duty is to greet visitors and show them to the person best suited to assist them. They also address clients and employees’ phone and in-person inquiries, schedule and confirm appointments, and answer information requests. Along with these duties, a receptionist must maintain organization, friendliness, technology adaption, and making sure the customer feels welcome. Failure of these requirements may make the customers feel unwelcome or not have complete trust into the company or organization, giving a bad reputation.
Situations
During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?
I would simply ask them to keep going their own way, for we all have our own duties to attend to. I would not try to fight or argue with them back, for all that would do would let them win, knowing that they have bothered me. After politely asking them to stop and they continue, I would just ignore them, shooing them calmly out of the way to help the next student or adult in line. If the impolite students remain to continue calling me pathetic and cursing at me, I could simply call a higher ranking in staff, resulting with them receiving detention.
You are doing a hazadrous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?
Calmness is key. I would not panic or become stressed, and I would be extra careful to make sure nobody is in risk of harm or death during my duty assigned by the principal. If it is going to put my own safety at risk, I would request that the principle assigned it to someone more capable and trained for the job.
Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?
I would maintain focus and remain calm, because there's no point in panicking. I would simply ask them what is going on, and if a student or another employee is in danger, I would call the police if absolutely necessary.

Applicant Name: Sara Asahi Takashi
Chosen Job: Receptionist
Motivation for Joining YHS:
YHS is a very well educated and orderly high school. Becoming a receptionist would be a honor, for I have been a student from ages 13-18 at the school. Being able to help students through their own years of education would be something I would enjoy, even if that means there may be chaos or high pressure situations.
Age: 25
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?
I should be accepted over the other applicants for this job, because I know how to maintain calmness and integrity. This job comes with many duties, and I know for a fact I can preform my tasks with enthusiasm and warmth towards others, never getting impatient, stressed, or angry.
