Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are extremely important not only for their literal importance to Schools but also because of their importance in guiding students during the school day through information useful OOCLY but also ICLY for things like examinations to become a college student. Teachers are also important to SchoolRP because of their part in teaching new and old players about how SRP is run during schooltime for the students, like with classes, detention, school events etc. SchoolRP is a roleplay server, and roles like the teacher faction are key in key in making everything flow accordingly and in keeping HS students (the largest majority of players on SRP) active throughout the day.
In general, the faculty faction themselves are the most important on SchoolRP as they are the most likely to be the first faction that newer players will interact with, being a teacher becomes even more important as during lessons, if a new greenie (player) joins the class and doesn't know what to do the teacher will likely be the one to help them the most. Over 60% of SchoolRP is made up of grade 12's and under who only have that tag, while 80% of the server is on school grounds during school hours, teachers become the most important faction during school hours because they will be the ones putting on classes and doing lessons for the newest and unexperienced players.
HS classes are one of the best ways to grow a person's roleplay experience, and to do this you need a teacher to be online, these classes that the teacher faction put on are the best for getting more experience because of the majority in players in grade 12 and under all mostly wanting to go to these classes. By all these students wanting to go to HS classes, there is a guaranteed at least 15 or more people in any class which allows for this group to communicate and roleplay in a more condensed environment, this as you would figure would be important for newer players as it would give them an idea on the etiquette and behaviour that is expected for in-character roleplay.

In-Character Section
What's your character's full name?: Cassian T. Yokuna-Meyer
What is your character's nationality?: German and Croatian
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Art
Describe your character:
What does he look like?:
Cassian is an intimidatingly tall individual, standing at 7'4ft tall. You can always seem to find him with a straightened posture, walking formally and always keeping a quiet yet respectful tone when there is no reason for any displaying of expression. While he at first glance may seem intimidating or scary, as you observe him closer you would notice his soft skin and mesmerizing eyes along with his neatly kept brown hair that laid just below his shoulders.
As you get to know him further, you would notice him becoming more comfortable, showing more emotion when he talks and his expressions becoming less serious and formal while showing more of a kinder and caring side to him. Regardless of where he was, he would always try his best to stand out whether it be through how he looked or spoke amidst a crowd of people.
How does he act?:
When Cassian was a teacher before, he'd always try to be kind and someone his students could look up to, a guide that was always there to help no matter the circumstance. Out of school he was the same, showing the same kindness and consideration toward all he spoke to while keeping his formal and upkept appearance.
Since leaving his teaching job behind, he took on many changes with how he acted, becoming more reclusive with his background and losing his touch with his softer and kinder side. However, recently since trying out to become a teacher again, he seems to want to go back to the people he cared so much for. Not only this but he wants to go back to teaching and be a guide once again to fulfill a promise he made many years ago.
What makes him unique?:
Cassian is made unique by his continuously changing personality, always adapting to the situations around him so he can try to be a better person for not only his own benefit but also for the benefit of others. As a teacher, Cassian strived to help his students to grow and learn through the subject he chose originally, using art to give meaning and give lessons to his students about the importance of embracing who you are as a person and not what people think of you.
One of Cassian's most unique features is his cunning and protective nature, while his primary job is to teach, he will do whatever he can to protect not only his students but his fellow faculty. Cassian's protective nature is motivated by his fatherly instincts that he became acquainted with when he had his children over a decade ago, this made him the teacher he was when he last became a teacher in Karakura a few months previous.
What are his plans for the future?:
Cassian wants to come back to teaching with bigger plans than he did the last time he was a teacher, he wants to do more for his students and shed more art knowledge onto them than he did before. Even more now watching his son devolve into madness, Cassian wants to do his part in making up for the damage by teaching and helping his students to move into their college years knowledgeable and prepared for their future.
However, one of Cassian's biggest plans is to rise through the school's hierarchy so he can eventually become a head of department for art, which previously was a dream of his but he couldn't achieve because of his need to leave his job before becoming able to. Cassian in the future hopes to do more for his department and widen the spectrum of art displayed around the school, giving the school more color and personality instead of the dull gray and brown color scheme the school has besides the sport colors on the fields.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Students:
Cassian views his students as almost like his children, he has a profound care for them and their future and seeks to do whatever he can to make sure they can succeed. Every lesson he does and has done has always been with the underlying purpose of trying to help them in succeeding with their academic lives, giving them strategies and feedback on how they could improve in their work especially regarding art. While he is only specialized in the field of art, he will always go out of his way to make sure his students are able to understand concepts and use them to achieve higher grades in their assignments, Cassian wants to give his students opportunities and guidance that he hadn't received when he was in school.
Colleagues:
Cassian views his colleagues as his family, it shows in how he treats them as well, while at times he may be competitive in who can get the most classes in a month he will always be there for his co-workers through thick and thin. During the school day, he may check in with his fellow faculty and even offer to get them a coffee from the teachers lounge during breaktimes or if he has a free period. While his actions at times will be out of fun to lighten moods and keep his colleagues happy and entertained, he will always try his best to keep his co-workers from becoming overwhelmed with work or a situation that may have come up with some misbehaving students, he only wants the best for them as he knows they would do the same for him.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Cassian is motivated by his children, art has always been a passion of his and he always wanted to put it into practicality by teaching it to others. He never pursued the idea until he decided to move to Karakura, becoming an art teacher for the first months of him being in the country, he loved it and even met his now husband while he was a teacher. However, he was forced to leave because of outside factors that affected his work, now he is motivated again by his family, but by one of his sons specifically. Cassian wants to come back to be a teacher and not only teach the subject he is most passionate about, but to make up for the damage his son had caused.

Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Cassian would discretely and quietly move over to the student's desk as to not bring too much attention to the student who needs assistance, he would ask the student softly if they need help.
If the student directly stated that they needed help or were struggling with a part of the task, Cassian would try his best to first give strategies on how they could work on the issue they may be facing. If it still doesn't seem to help, he would give more ideas and offer feedback and constructive criticism on their current product to give them an idea on the specific areas they may need to work on, along with that he would give resources (information) on how to work on these areas if they don't know how to already.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Cassian's experience with discipline would show, but only when needed, he would first ask them to quiet down so he could continue the lesson and that at the end if the lesson finishes early they may have free time to talk and joke around.
If the student continues his behavior, he would again ask if they could quiet down and that others in the room are trying to learn while he/she are messing about and disrupting the lesson, he would also threaten to give the individual or individuals detention if they decided to continue.
However, they again still continued, Cassian wouldn't warn them again, handing out detention slips and asking the individuals to leave the classroom. However, if they become conflictive and reject being told to leave the room, Cassian would warn them with SLT.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
1) Lighthouse at the beach field trip.
Students would be given a chance to do works inspired by their surroundings. Cassian would take the students out for the school day to the beach accompanied by at least two other teachers/faculty. Students would each be given three different tasks, and they are to use the scenery of the beach and the lighthouse or the view from the lighthouse to create their artworks and give a natural feel along with the calmness of the waves crashing against the walls of the man-made lighthouse.
2) Astronomy art.
This would be a collaboration between the science and art subjects. Students from both glasses would merge in an open space like the roof, with Cassian and [insert science teacher] to give them their task. The science teacher would give a short lesson and some visuals of celestial bodies like stars, nebula, and planets for the students to draw in a both scientifically accurate way, but also in a more artistic interpretation. After, students would present the artworks to both teachers for them to grade on accuracy to science and their ability to create well-made artworks on different subjects.
This task could be done with a variety of resources, students would be given options between paint, pencil, oil pastel, or any other artistic tool they can think of as Cassian would want to create a large variety and diverse collective of artworks.
3) Art knowledge squid games.
Students will be taken up onto the roof in a vacant and cleared area where they will be put into a conga line of sorts. The left of them would be true and the right of them would be false, the students would be asked a series of art related true or false questions which they will need to answer correctly to 'survive' (stay in the game). When there are five people left in the game, the questions will become harder and be asked individually until there are only two players are left standing. These two players will need to do a tiebreaker of their choice to find a winner of the games. Once this winner is confirmed they will receive a reward sticker.
